This place is said to cure mentally deranged people. It should be creating a lot of people in that class. Until 2001 they used to chain people of unsound mind here, who died after a fire broke out, most probably caused by a person of ‘sound mind’.

Ibrahim Waliullah by Yerwadi
💎
Sultan Syed Ibrahim Waliullah in the city of St. Medina in AD. He was born in 1145, the son of Syeda Fatima and Syed Ahmed, Governor of Medina. It is worth mentioning that he was the sixteenth generation of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his grandson Husain (Raliallahu Anhu). He was initially a close ally of his father in the administration. At the age of 25, he married a woman named Sainab and started a home life.
One day in the 12th century, while the spiritual sage was asleep, Kanmani Nayaka (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) went to Tamil Nadu in a dream and disappeared, leaving him to spread Dinul Islam.
At the age of 42, the spiritual savior prostrated himself before the Lord and accepted the word of the Apostle in his heart and started preaching Islam according to the apostle Eve. They consulted with their close friends and relatives to specialize in religious work. Notable among them were his brother-in-law Zainul Abidin and the knights Syed Kadir and Syed Muqaidin. They sought the help of Room President Mohammad Badusha.
The King of the ‘Room’ came forward with immense pleasure to provide the necessary material and administrative assistance to carry out the mission of the Holy Teen. Sultan Syed Ibrahim (Pain) was sent by his commander, Abbas, a Turkish general who excelled in wisdom, bravery, patience, education, religion and wisdom.
In the first phase, in 1155 AD, they crossed Iran, Iraq, and Balochistan, arrived in the Indus and Multan, with 3,000 volunteers, and successfully preached Islam.
Then the next stage is AD. In 1186, they came to Tamil Nadu via Kannur. In Nellai, Madurai and Nagai, they carried out religious work and quietly explained and interpreted Islamic ideas.
At that time there was no cordial relationship between the five kings who ruled the country of Pandi. Rivalry, strife, and enmity were found among them. As a result, Sultan Syed Ibrahim (pain), who came to explain the religion, was forced to wield a sword.
Wickrama Pandian, who came to the city to worship the Buddha on that day, hates his brother for not giving his brother Kulasekara Pandian a share and sends him an angel to ask for the help of this spiritual sage. Seeing the plight of the spiritual leader Kulasekara Pandian, he goes to Wickrama Pandian and refuses to give him a share no matter how much he appeals.
Kulasekara Pandian pleaded that you should guide me in the fight for justice.
Thirupandian was defeated in the battle. He then fled and took refuge in Tirupati. Thus the frightened Kulasekara Pandian also left Nellai and took refuge with Tamayan Vikrama Pandian who ruled the face area. As a result, Nellai and Madurai came under the control of Sultan Syed Ibrahim. Vikrama Pandian waged war against the Sultan to reclaim these areas.
This war is called the ‘Ten Day War’. In this battle the forces of Vikrama Pandyan were defeated. Two of his sons and several generals were killed. The victorious Sultan Syed Ibrahim (pain) ruled the region between the deposit and the Vaigai River in the eastern part of the Pandya kingdom for about twelve years (AD 1195 to 1207 AD).
Wickrama Pandian loses his life in the battle.
Kulasekara Pandian handed over the rest to the spiritual rich man, who wanted him to rule it himself.
This was the first Muslim monarchy to appear on Tamil soil. Its capital is the Buddhist gem city.
Sultan Syed Ibrahim (Wali) issued coins during his reign. His contemporaries were the third Kulothungans who ruled the Chola kingdom. Sultan Syed Ibrahim (Pain) ruled with love, affection and humanity for all people, especially non-Muslims. He was also liberal in Islamic matters. Sultan Syed Ibrahim (Pain) is proud to be the 'First Muslim King' in the history of Tamil Nadu!
Abbas-led forces were sent back to Arabia after peaceful rule on Tamil soil. Taking advantage of this, Veerapandian, a relative of Vikrama Pandian, invaded with the help of King Tirupati and defeated Sultan Syed Ibrahim. Sultan Syed Ibrahim was buried at Ervadi in Muqawi district. The place where they were buried was also called 'Yarbut' as Sultan Syed Ibrahim departed from Yarbut, a part of the city of Madinah.
In time, Maruvi became known as 'Ervadi'. It is commendable that his ‘Dargah’ is still a fusion of Hindu-Muslim culture and an example of religious harmony.
After his ‘martyrdom’ his nephew Syed Ishaq kept and maintained the grant villages which he had received from the Pandya king.
