Worldbuilding and fanfic writing
As I work on my drafts for my future Lies of P fics, something I would like to achieve in my writing is to get a good handle on the social and cultural context in which the game is set in the city of Krat: Belle Γ©poque (1871-1914), not only to make the setting feel more real, but also to show how the context affects, influences and conditions the behaviour of the characters in their world. Since it is a fictional alternate world that obviously collects elements of that time and different places in old Europe (in addition to the fantasy elements and steampunk aesthetics), I always had a little doubt about how much the environment culturally and socially influences the condition of the people. Obviously, the game developers pay a lot of attention to the details and setting of the city in terms of fashion, architecture, technology, music, etc. But I still have more doubts, especially about how the city was socially and culturally before and after the disasters we already know happened.
1.-Is there a single idiom or slang in the language? 2.-Were social labels very strict or were creative liberties taken to make them less rigid in Krat? 3.-How pronounced was the social structure and inequalities? 4.-Are there political tensions? 5.-Is there strong censorship and cultural control? 6.-Were there social movements and struggles, especially with the industrialisation of puppetry? 7.-Are there myths and legends that use elements of European folklore? 8.-How strong or cautious were the scientific and medical ethics? (cough, cough, Geppetto, Simon) 9.-Will there be a future equivalent to the First World War? 10.-Will there be conflicts between the traditional and the future modernity? 11.-How will modernisation progress in Krat when the frenzy is over? (I have the basic idea that the game obviously starts in 1871, but when the city slowly resurfaces, it will progress until the early 1900s).
I don't know, it's these issues that always come up when I'm trying to write and, well, they tend to give me a bit of a headache about how to incorporate them. It would be interesting to know more about them, especially how they affect Pinocchio, given that he is someone who has not been raised or conditioned by these social norms, and how his social maladjustment would cause him to step out of the norm. Not to mention the issue of not knowing whether P ends up being a real human or some weird human/puppet mish-mash. I think it would only add to Pinocchio's existential crises, but now add a social inadequacy and a VERY likely rejection of his person and what he represents (poor guy can't catch a break).
It would be interesting to read this topic in more fanfics (especially in lop x reader scenarios) (and how the reader or an OC helps P with these topics, perhaps creating debates and social criticism) I know many like to write more about action or expand the lore of the game, but I've always been someone who has had a fondness for everyday stories and how they develop and condition individuals. Especially with the character of Pinocchio, the way he builds his individuality and humanity, and the existentialism of his condition, already influenced by his environment.

Aiight there we go. My drawing app kept crashing so I'll leave the doodle like this for now π€£

And one without her mask:

With Omp disguising herself as a Stalker, she would have her own weapon. I haven't decided what kind of weapon she would go for yet, but I'm hoping to find her a technique-related weapon. She's incredibly flexible and fast, sometimes even with heavier weapons (though, at a cost of attack speed).
She doesn't really require a weapon, but in this case, it would be to avoid eyes from Geppetto and Simon. In certain situations, especially bad ones, she would use her "powers."
A lot of ideas are still being organized, but I'm also tying some of my original ideas to match with the lore without going off side tracked.

Lies of P's DLC inspired by Bloodborne?
Okay, I need to ramble, because it was on my brain for a while now, but since it's almost a year after release of the Lies of P, I have to say something. So, we know, there will be Lies of P DLC and we saw it will have some connections to sea/ships (origin of Krat, it was mentioned, Krat originated as fishing hamlet). But, I was thinking, what if there was another DLC, but Bloodborne one? Like, a lot of people noticed that Bloodborne and Lies of P could potentially be in the same universe and Krat could exist in times similar to Bloodborne's (or at least, their existences would overlap, as Yharnam seems to be more gothic than victorian/modern than Krat) and both games have some pretty important puppet/doll. And here is my idea for DLC- Yharnam and Krat being not so far away from each other and researchers of Krat finding burnded down, abandoned Yharnam. Last time, anyone had any contact with Yharnam was like, 50-60 years ago. Any traces of Old Blood, Hunters or Great Ones wiped out, or at the very least, those traces which could lead to contact with such things. But, anyone who is fragile to energy from Ergo, will definitely feel that something is wrong in this town- and especially, that something is wrong with one, quite pretty doll found in an abandoned tower... Through Doll, I imagine our dear loser Simon Manus would enter dream of Great One, of our ascended Hunter- let's say, his ambitions to become god would be set and so, meeting actual deity would be like going to Disneyland for him, especially since our Hunter would be quite nice to him, after all, even as ascended creature, they lack contact with other humans and also they crave child, so guy with daddy issues is like perfect thing for them. Of course, Simon's ambition is too big and he disrespects/hurts/betrays Hunter in some way in his search for power and now, the cycle of violence continues-Hunter's Dream becomes Hunter's Nightmare and Simon keeps Hunter locked in that hellhole Arche Abby with Sophia. Hunter reaches to Sophia, since she is Listener and probably would be able to hear literal God calling for help in the room next to her and would ask P to also help Hunter as having God as friend would be quite useful (and because she's good person). Somewhere in between this, Doll is send to Geppetto, so he could give her sturdy frame, as Hunter would want their best friend/caretaker to see world outside Dream and Doll ends up on journey to try and understand herself, maybe becoming help to P in some way, like being summon or at least giving him some OP hunter's weapon (maybe he would get from her Burial Blade or Rakuyo). This is really simplistic look at my thoughts, there's a lot of details, but I need to study chemistry, so lol, I'll add some more on the topic later.

Ok weird idea but what would happen if Wick followed P throughout the game and they got to the nameless puppet boss fight, how do you think Wick would be involved in that scenario, would he be critically injured? Go after Gepetto?
Is not a scenario that I have not think about so I do not consider it weird as an idea haha. There are two finales for Lampwick in my head in which he dies by following P on the Alchemist Isle, but he does not survive until Simonβs fight. There is too much ergo concentration that would slowly kill Lampwick, infecting his lungs because of the ergo spores he would be inhaling especially on the beach.
He would do a last blow on Simon and then collapse to the ground which would lead him to just die before the battle with the Nameless Puppet.
But, if we have to consider Wick surviving Simon, he would follow Pinocchio until his last breathe and try to act as a distraction for the Nameless puppet so that P can focus on him to attack. Wick would also try to shoot at Geppetto from time to time to stun the Nameless puppet by hurting the wielder controlling him. So he would act much more than a support in gameplay giving you a double stun if necessary ( making it even kind of easier to beat ).
For the true ending he would sacrifice himself by getting stabbed by the nameless puppet ( kind of like Geppetto did ) but using the last of his strength to hold on his shotgun and kill Geppetto. Then everything goes how it is canonically. ( this would happen with a low confidence rank relationship with Lampwick but also with a higher one if you decide to bring him with you. The higher rank would be more emotional obviously. )
I have prepared a monologue for this situation though :
Wick : Shit... hehe. I think I exaggerated, huh? ( Coughs blood ) You will have to go alone, my friend. Avenge my brother on my part and whatever happens, don't fall for his nonsense. Pinocchio, you are the most human person I have ever known, never let anyone tell you who you should be. Be yourself, live your life as yourself. (Wick takes his hat and rests it on P's head, a tear comes down from his face) See? You are human, much more than me. This... was... an interesting adventure. Thank you. Ah, brother, Romeo, here I am. Forgive me if I left you... now... we are together... at home... ( Wick gives his last breath, a serene smile is printed on his face. He is happy. )
( This was written for the Simonβs final blow ending but if you adjust the first two sentences it is perfect for a tragic ending after the nameless puppet battle )

Lore and design are still in concept, but here is the imp in its human form β¨οΈ I guess she may be my semi-Stalker OC.
The outfit is supposed to be mixed with the idea of Blue-blood tail coat, the Workshop Master's Workwear, and Someone's Memory. I might adjust her outfit in the future.
I have yet to finish my original Imps lore overall, but to make it short, they're basically world observers.
Ending spoilers ahead!

Another Lies of P OC, heh (with a small mascot insert).
She (or "it") is mostly used for funsies in my mini comics and drawings. She has her own separate fanfic AU from Uon.
Omp is the name! The people at the hotel didn't know what to name this strange little creature, and neither did P. So, they thought to name it "Omp." One of the hotel members believed she resembled an imp, so they tried calling her imp. However, someone misheard "imp" and thought they heard "omp." So now, it's Omp.
Omp found P at Krat Central Station when he was sleeping in one of the train carts (which happened to appear to be a secret workshop by Geppetto). She found him by following a little blue butterfly since she could also hear Sophia's voice (my imps can hear any divinity voices in each world they visit). When P woke up, Omp decided to follow him. P was confused about what she was, neither human nor puppet. In the end, they ended up traveling together, and the puppet grew curious of her. The two slowly bonded, and Omp grew attached to the puppet. Eventually, they began traveling together throughout the game.
After killing the archbishop at St. Frangelico cathedral, Omp desired to be closer to the humans in this world, especially with P. Her desire was so strong that with ergo, she was able to manipulate her body to look human. (When an imp grows attached to their companion, they would mimic their forms. In this case, Omp tried to be a "puppet" and "human." She did not know a puppet was an automaton until later on, and then decided to be "human" instead.)
She was able to adapt to the environment and learn the history of Stalkers and their factions. After the earthquake and the King of Puppet's performance, she hid her identity as an imp from Simon Manus and Geppetto and pretended to be a Stalker. She does not have a confirmed faction, and she took the animal "lamb" as her mask. However, her horns stood out, so Stalker enemies along the way would think she was a goat. So, they spread her name as "The False Lamb." Her mask would bleed black tears whenever her powers became overwhelming from ergo along with her imp-like abilities merging as one. (The symbol of "lamb" represents Omp's willing to sacrifice herself for P.)
Omp's connection with P would be a "knight and prince" relationship. Oddly enough, she had a connection with P's old past self, "Carlo," but she wasn't sure why. All she knew was that she had to protect him. Though, sometimes, she would get carried away, and Gemini would find it very odd due to her overwhelming, guardian-like behavior. Then again, the two knew she wasn't quite human and was still adapting to the world. P liked her the way she was, and sometimes found her chatter and odd behavior humorous and entertaining.
Omp would attempt to be flirtatious, being charismatic, but awfully failed at them (mostly because she was doing this in front of a puppet, in which P had no clue how "flirting" worked). Gemini found this hilarious, and Omp would constantly be in embarrassment.
A very weird additional info, but my Imps have a strong and natural aroma of "honey and blueberries." (This is due to their natural diet by eating fruits constantly, and eventually their bodies mimicked the fruity scent.) Members had no idea why, but whenever she walked by, they always described Omp smelling very nice. Eugenie believed Omp must've bathed regularly, even though Omp did not. P did not understand scent, but as he became more human, he found her scent oddly "stress-reliving."
Real Boy Ending:
With the fall of P, Omp was devastated and heartbroken. She refused to let Geppetto win, and so she became the strings for P, known as the "Abyssal Strings." She used her small body to sit inside his chest cavity, where his P-Organ once was. Players would play as "Carlo" (NP) and fight the controlled Pinocchio.
Once the player successfully stopped P, Geppetto attempts to capture Omp for experiments. With Carlo's manipulation, Omp would be successfully captured and used to "save Krat."
Rise of P Ending:
Omp wanted to go home but realized she enjoyed her time in Krat. She had yet to explore more about P's growth as a human in a puppets body and the rest of the "fairytales." For now, she vowed to assist P and stop the Petrification Disease. She eventually became "The False Lamb" stalker and built a small guild of surviving stalkers to restore Krat. No one knew she was an imp, but they saw her as an odd person who could do amazing gymnastics across Krat.
Stringless Puppet Ending:
Omp realized P still had much to learn, and so she protected him along the way back to the hotel. Like the Rise of P ending, She still vowed to help P and stop the Petrification Disease. She still took "The False Lamb" name but did not build a guild of stalkers.
