After Raine developed their stage fright, when they and Eda had to do group project presentations back at Hexide, they agreed Raine would do all the work and Eda would do the actual presentation. (Eda already knows the material and doesn't even need to read off anything) They're the dream team.

one thing that took me a really long time to realize about the writing of the owl house is about ships, because i gotta say there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room for the main ones. obviously luz and amity were immediately paired together once amity started showing interest in luz and the feelings were mutual, and even at the time when it was still new and some people liked to experiment with different ideas like willow and luz etc., ultimately the majority of the fandom supports the endgame lumity. and that doesn't even take into account for the raeda ship where dana left pretty much no room for any different ships with eda and raine. i just think it's an interesting observation since more often than not, fandoms have shipping wars, and pretty intense ones at that. with that in mind, I'm really excited to see where dana takes us with the huntlow ship since there's no definitive answer for once in the show, just little bits and pieces left here and there by the crew that ships them. i think that's definitely why the ship grew so much in popularity so quickly

For the Future Owl House analysis
Loved this episode, season 3 continues to be amazing and I feel like this episode does an great job at wrapping up a lot of individual character arcs and loose threads. One of my main issues with the last episode was how besides Luz and Camilla, it focussed way too much on Hunter and didn't give much attention to any of the other characters but I feel like this episode more effectively distributes it's screentime and importance between characters. Luz comes to a satisfying conclusion to her arc and gets her new Palisman Stringbean out of it, Amity is forced to confront her past by facing Boscha and even Willow finally gets some much needed attention.
Even after hearing that her girlfriend, her friends and her mum have her back Luz still can't help but feel guilty and like she's had more of a negative impact on their lives. It's not true, but self loathing like that can be hard to get out of your head and it's sad to think that she's so used to getting rejecting for being herself that she just wants to remove herself from people's lives completely. It's such a beautiful moment then when she has her significant self realisation and what I consider to be a satisfying conclusion to her entire arc throughout the show. It also beautifully wraps up the themes of the show in one scene, the themes of wanting to be yourself without judgement from others and finding the people who love and accept you for who you are. The main thing that Luz wanted this whole time was to be understood and her realising this and actually saying it is one of the most powerful moments in the whole show and is the moment where I'm sure all of the queer and/or neurodivergent kids and even adults in the audience felt super validated. I'm both queer and neurodivergent and I know I did, that moment never fails to make me tear up. I feel like Camilla being there for that big moment is really important too, being able to lift her up when she needed it and hearing how her daughter really feels.
Of course with Luz's big realisation of what she wants, her palisman also realises who she wants to be. And she's a snakeshifter named Stringbean! I'm happy to say that I totally called her being snake, or a snakshifter I guess but I think snake is close enough lol. She's an adorable little power noodle and is perfect for Luz. Considering Luz's passion for wanting to discover and learn different things, just like when she wanted to learn all types of magic at Hexside, her Palisman being able to become whatever she wants is very fitting for her. Luz giving her Palisman the power to be whatever she wants, the thing that Luz herself has always wanted from the start is the best thing that she could have done. I also just love when Stringbean goes over to Luz and Amity and they stand there looking at her like proud parents, I thought that was really cute.
Speaking of Lumity, Amity has had so much great development throughout the show like becoming more comfortable in being herself, being an awesome girlfriend for Luz, repairing her friendship with Willow and standing up to her abusive parents. But here we finally get to wrap up the one loose thread in her story and it's her past relationship with Boscha. Boscha was giving off some big one sided romance vibes towards Amity, she seems really attached to her and I get the impression she's been jealous of Luz this whole time. I think that Boscha has always had these feelings for Amity and it wasn't until seeing Amity with Luz that she realised it. She's still attached to Amity and wants the opportunity to have that type of relationship with her but needs to realise that Amity has moved on, doesn't like her back and has found someone that she truly loves in Luz. Kikimora manipulated Boscha while she is at her lowest point and missing her friends which forces Amity to confront her past, having to give it to Boscha straight (or gay in this instance but you know what I mean), that Amity has realised who she wants to be and it's not the whole bully thing that Boscha is. While Boscha is still a jerk it is good to see her finally siding with our heroes to defeat Kikimora in the end.
Even Willow got some much needed development and screentime this episode which is something that she has really needed since season 1. The one thing about the Owl House I wasn't the biggest fan of was when they decided to focus so much of their time on generic white boy Hunter while giving their much more interesting characters like Willow, Gus and Lilith the shaft in season 2. The only time they ever wanted to give Willow and Gus attention was when they were used to develop Hunter and while that is still the case in this episode, Willow's trauma just being used as a way to give Hunter a moment to save the day and show off his powers, at least Willow finally got something meaningful. Being the mum friend of the group, she's always been there for everyone else to come to in times of need but has never really had the opportunity to really express herself and I thought that the way they got into that was really well done. It's nice to see her being able to open up like that and cry because she misses her dads instead of having to keep her feelings inside. I also like fitting callback to Understanding Willow, one of the few Willow focused episodes back in season 1 when she's pulling out Luz's memory photos and quotes herself from back then. "No scheming, no plots, no ruses... and definitely no shenanigans!"
Was also pretty cool finally getting to see Eda and King again, even if the Owl family hasn't reunited yet at least King and Eda are together and are developing a plan to stop the Collector. Also Lilith and Hooty! Lulu wanted to see her best friend Hootsifer so badly that her tears gave him sentience again which was just really cute. Odalia's fate of having to answer to the very whim of an obnoxious child is just the most ironically perfect punishment for her after how horribly she treated her own kids. And Emira and Ederic reunite with their sister was so sweet as well! Of course Ederic kept getting into trouble and Emira had to look after him. Something that does just upset me so much is seeing Raine not only being taken over by the Collector but also Belos on top of that. It's so tragically ironic given how they were able to nullify Terra's control and pretend to be brainwashed by her, but now that are actually being controlled for real.
All the pieces are in place for the big finale. Luz and Hexsqaud have made it to the archives, Eda and King are making a plan, Belos has possessed Raine and the Collector is ready to throw hands. This episode perfectly wraps up a lot of the remaining character arcs and sets up the big final conflict for the epic finale of the Owl House. Watching and Dreaming.

“I’m sensing a very Santi sort of loyalty to the Black Swan. Except the Black Swan are better than the Library. (Mostly.)”
Yeah I was very much thinking of that line where Santi is like “it doesn’t matter if the library falls, the only thing i care about is christopher’s safety. if that is heresy than i will happily die a heretic” because that line is >>>
Wolfe and Santi, peak romance once again.
And here's yet another one of the strangely large number of parallels between Tiertice and Wolfe/Santi.
