It has been a while, but this year I am planning submit remastered pieces of my original works to commemorate ten years of my experience with animation. These are concept art and designs for my original short, “You Missed a Spot”, a short involving a window cleaner trying to clean a one spot from one window with extreme measures.  The top picture is the character design of the office boss which he is one of those characters whose face we never see. His model is based on George Wilson from the Dennis the Menace comics. The middle is the cleaner’svan. The last is a background for an establishing shot where the building is sandwiched between two building to represent irony.

Karbala 097. This image is a homage and almost a total recreation of a watercolor painting by an inspiring and masterful artist named Augustus Osborne lamplough. He was known for his landscape paintings of Egypt and his work provided me with a good deal of reference in terms of color schemes and scenery, given that landscapes is not my strong suit and something I’m developing, I took refuge in studying his artwork and used my story as an excuse to practice painting from older masters. This painting, which I’ve recreated digitally here with slight tweaks served very well from my purposes as an establishing shot.
