your faves written by my faves
I believe all anime men can be categorized by if they were written by Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, or Ethel Cain.
Characters: jujutsu kaisen, haikyuu, chainsaw man, tokyo revengers, demon slayer, attack on titan, hunter x hunter, buddy daddies, MHA, hell’s paradise
CW for suggestive content, toxic relationship for Ethel Cain category. All characters are time skip as applies (ex Tokyo rev/haikyuu). MDNI
Written by Taylor Swift
Sweet & Romantic. The boy next-door type. Friends to lovers vibe. The type to throw rocks at your window and get you to sneak out just to watch the stars. Writes you letters. So many of each other’s firsts. Feels like a fairytale. Can range from a soft and gentle love to one that's fast and exciting, depending on person/situation. Always holds your hand when walking. A strong, healthy relationship. Would literally rather die than upset you. Buys you flowers. Sends you songs he thinks you’ll love. Calls you sweetheart, baby, my love. Loved by your friends and family. Makes you believe in love.
Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Denji (I swear once he calms down a lil he’d be a great partner), Takemichi, Mitsuya, Hakkai, Chifuyu, Kazutora, Shinichiro, Hinata Shoyo, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Akaashi, Bokuto, Kageyama, Osamu, Iwaizumi, Oikawa, Kenma, 99% of the haikuu cast unless listed elsewhere, Giyu, Rengoku, Jean, Connie, Armin, Kurapika, Leorio, Kazuki, Hawks
“Can I tell you a secret?” your best friend asks. You’re laying out on a blanket, watching the stars. You look at him, admiring how they twinkle in his eyes.
“Of course.”
“I think I love you.” He looks at you then, filling your chest with warmth. You’ve waited for him to say those words for so long, to name what has always existed between you.
“Can I show you what I think?” He nods eagerly. You lean in, pressing your lips to his. It is everything you always hoped it would be. He smiles into your kiss. “I think I love you, too.”
Written by Lana Del Rey
Sensual & Intense. Bad boy or hard exterior, but soft on the inside. Likes showing you off, but hates when other men look at you. Always has a hand on your lower back. Possessive, but in a controlling way. Dress slutty I can fight type. And he means it he will fuck anyone up for you. Makes you feel safe. Most likely to have a scandalous type of relationship (like an age gap, he has a bad reputation, etc). Probably has some sorta vice (smoking/drinking/fighting). High sex drive, he just can’t resist you :(. Probably has a daddy kink or is a dom (mostly soft/pleasure). Calls you princess, angel, pretty girl. Sometimes the relationship can be toxic, but you know the foundation is built on love.
Draken, Mikey, Ran, Rindou, Wakasa, Baji, Taiju, Inui, Koko, Sanzu, Izana, Kakucho, basically all of tokyo rev unless listed elsewhere, Rei, Toji, Geto, Gojo, Nanami, Suna, Terushima, Atsumu, Ushijima, Coach Ukai, Aki, Kishibe, Tengen, Obanai, Sanemi, Akaza, Levi, Eren, Reiner, Zeke, Aizawa, Gabimaru, Yamada Asaemon Shion, Tenza
“Come ‘ere baby,” he calls to you. He’s been eyeing you in that little sundress all night and his will power has run thin. You stand between his legs, looking down at him with a soft smile. The setting sun twinkles against the chain around his neck, making him look extra handsome. His large hand is on the back of your thigh, sliding up higher and higher and- you gasp his name and he squeezes your ass under your dress.
“People are gonna see!” you whisper yell, gesturing to all your friends mingling in your backyard. He has a lazy smile on his face as he rubs circles on your inner thigh.
“Don’t care,” he says, “Can’t resist my pretty girl anymore.”
Written by Ethel Cain
Toxic & Addictive. A waling red flag, but baby you are color blind. You know you shouldn’t, but there’s just something about him. He’s addictive. Super possessive and controlling. Always has his hands on you. Leaves bruises. Most likely to be a criminal or something darker. Would kill for you. Swears he loves you and that's why he acts so crazy. Honestly brings out the crazy in you too. Super high sex drive, wants you all the time. Hard dom. Calls you my girl when feeling nice, slut when he isn’t. Says my slut when he’s somewhere in between. Codependent. Fuck everyone but us type.
Sukuna, Douma, Hantengu clones, Muzan, Gyutaro, Hanma, Aza Chobe, Chrollo, Feitan, hisoka, illumi
He has your jaw in his hands, squeezing. Hard. There’s a twisted smile on his face, one that makes your heart race and your thighs rub together.
“You know you can never leave me, right?” he questions you. Though you know it is no question right. “You’re mine. Forever.” His hips have you pinned to the bed as he licks up your neck.
“All yours,” you reply. And you mean it. You were two halves of a fucked up whole. You loved him even if it drove you crazy.
His hand goes down your pants. “Good girl.”

Ethel “Sunny” Lowry was born in Longsight in 1911. Her dad was a fish wholesaler and she was a 2nd cousin of the artist, LS Lowry.
From an early age, she loved swimming. She would swim regularly at Victoria Baths and Levenshulme Baths. She went to Manchester High School for Girls. The school thought that Sunny was rather too much focused on swimming. Sunny later said: "The headmistress was a rather stern woman and she looked at me from over her half-moon glasses and said 'Lowry, what is your ambition?' I replied immediately, 'To swim the Channel' and she said, without another word, 'Dismissed!'."
By her late teens, Sunny had developed into a strong distance swimmer. She took advantage of family holidays to swim the length of Windermere and along stretches of the North Wales coast. She often liked to wear a two-piece costume, which was very daring for those days.  On more than one occasion she said she was "branded a harlot for daring to bare her knees".
She entered an X-Factor style competition in which the winner got to be trained by a top team for a cross-Channel swim. Out of 300 applicants, Sunny was chosen. So, in 1933, at the age of 22, she caught a train from Manchester down to the south coast to begin rigorous training. Her trainer was tough - the first thing he said to her was "'If you say the water's cold, you may as well get off home".
On her first attempt to swim the Channel, she was defeated by strong currents. She tried again the next day, and got to within sight of the French coast. But then a storm blew up. It grew so wild and dark, the team boat completely lost sight of her. She was only spotted when one of the crew caught a glimpse of her swimming cap during a flash of lightning.  So that attempt was abandoned as well. After two failed attempts, the team considered giving up, but Sunny said she really wanted to give it one last go.
She set off again, this time from the French side. It was in the small hours of the morning and was still dark. As usual, she had to be covered in grease to protect from the cold. In preparation, she'd been eating up to 40 eggs a week (mostly in omelettes) and pushed up her weight to 14st 7lb, because it was predicted that she would lose a pound for every hour in the sea.
During the swim, she ate nothing, but paused now and again to drink coffee, cocoa and beef tea,  which she swigged from a medicine bottle dangled over the side of the escort boat.
After swimming for 15 hours 41 minutes, she finally emerged from a rough sea, and crawled up the beach at St Margaret's Bay, near Dover.  Her face and neck were swollen with jellyfish bites, and her lips were cracked and blue. She was exhausted. But she'd made it.
She thus became the 6th woman to swim the Channel and the 3rd British woman ever to do so.
After her successful swim, Sunny returned to Manchester and was she greeted by cheering crowds at Central Station. She accepted that her moment in the limelight would not last and she dedicated her life to teaching swimming. She later married and her husband, Bill, was also a swimming teacher.
She was later awarded an MBE. Sunny was described as a wonderful, gentle, kind lady. Her great niece said: "She was as fit as a fiddle, as sharp as ninepence, and she kept on swimming well into her 90s".
Sunny died, aged 97, in 2008.

Where the World Was Empty Save You And I
by hrhprinceclaremontdiaz At the end of 2020, Queen Mary announced the death of Henry, Prince of Wales. An event that would catalyze the destruction of countless relationships in and around Alex Claremont-Diaz. He's forced to reconcile with the fact that he'll never see Henry again, and try to rebuild a life without him. Midway through 2030, he comes to know that Henry is alive, hidden away to live a life under a new identity. And now Bea and everyone else are asking him to go with them to find Henry, to bring him home. Is it possible for them to reconcile a decade apart? Is it possible for them to rebuild what was lost, and find new happiness in the ashes of what once was? Or will they just fall apart in the end? Okay, I need to talk about my DR so here we go
I want to shift to a Marauders DR, and I want to shift there a few days before going to Hogwarts for the firsr time.
My name is Naos Hollcomb, I'm a boy born the 21 of December 1959, born the day of the Solstice!
I'm blond and I have odd eyes (one dark blue and the other is purple). I am tall, and I'm pretty, because, I'm the main character
I have three older sisters, Andromeda, Cassiopeia, Ethel, who are, in order, 17, 15, and 13. Andy and Ethel are in Ravenclaw and Cassy is a Hufflepuff.
I also have a little sister whose name is Artemis. She's nine and we're all sure she'll end up in Slytherin, like my mom.
My mom, Alehna, is a pure-blood who became a blood-traitor when she married my dad, whose a muggle-born. She is a famous lawyer and the best, everyone wants her as a lawyer. She's very cool.
My dad is the most important man in the Ministry, just behind the Minister of Magic herself. His name is Alberich.
I speak English and Welsh, as I live in Aberaeron, in Wales. And I speak French, without anyone understanding how (I'm French in my OR).
Now, more of what happens when I'll finally be at Hogwarts. I'm a Gryffindor, and I share a dorm with the four Marauders.
Voldemort just won't be a thing. There is still going to be prejudices and things to get over with but I don't want a war. Peter is no traitor either.
In ly DR having odd eyes is said to be a proof of having a great magical potential. and when I first meet Sirius, he's intrigued because he never met me with the sacred 28 and all, but I have odd eyes, and when I tell him my dad's a muggle-born, he doesn't believe me.
I'm really gifted at magic, I can perform a lot lf charms and spells without my wand and without talking (I can do whatever I want so I do just that).
And, oh, I think my S/O is gonna be James ✨✨✨✨ my looove
I mean, I'll see when I will knew them better, but just. James. I love him.
And everything is going to be amazing
I'm so happy to know I'll be there soon 🥰🥰

I sort of understand where people are coming from when they complain about things people are naming their kids these days, mostly because I don't personally like the names either, but I have a few criticisms.
Aside from the usual (and true) criticism of "judging people because they have a name you haven't heard before indirectly promotes sentiments like xenophobia", my main issue is the simple fact that naming conventions change over time, even within the same culture. You might not know anybody over age 5 with the name "Laikynn", but do you know anyone under age 65 with the name "Ethel"? Probably not, and you might even find it as "cruel" to name a child something overly "old-fashioned" as you think it would be to give them a newfangled, experimental, or "foreign" name.
The name I was given when I was born in the late 80s would have probably sounded a little strange to people who were born and raised in the early 20th century (unless they were from Wales, perhaps - this is not a dig at the Welsh, either, that is legitimately the origin of my legal name). I distinctly remember fearing, as an elementary schooler, that I would never be taken seriously and that I'd always be looked at as a child because I didn't know any adults with my name. It was one of the most popular girls' names in the US during my birth year, though, so by the time I reached adulthood, that was a complete non-issue! (I've still informally changed it, though, just because I don't like how it sounds on me personally. Nothing against all the ladies out there who share my legal name.)
