Five days ago, it was World Dream Day, and it's International Coffee tomorrow, so here we have Rouge serving everyone coffee at my favourite kind of coffee joint: Traditional Ethiopian (and Eritrean) coffee ceremonies, which are always held by women and are a traditional way of getting everyone together to hang out.
And it's in the sky... And it's dream material. No, I don't the kind of dream one strives for, I mean the kind of dream one has at night.
The title is 'Coffee O'Clock in the Sky', hence the Amharic and Tigrinya texts at the top.

[Image ID: a black-and-white sketch of four Sonic the Hedgehog characters standing in a line.
On the far left stands Tails, wearing a t-shirt that reads "Sonic's favorite brother". He is looking skeptically at Marine, who is standing next to him.
Marine has a cocky grin and is pointing at herself proudly. Text on her t-shirt reads, "Blaze is my sidekick".
Next in line is Cream, who stands with her hands clasped behind her. She looks doubtfully at Marine. Her t-shirt says, "Amy Rose is my hero" with a little heart drawn next to "hero".
The final character is Tooth, a wolf girl who is far taller than the others. She stands awkwardly, expression on her face like she's questioning her life choices. Her shirt proclaims "Silver pays my medical bills".
Above the characters heads are written their ages. Tails is 8; Marine is 7; Cream is 6; and Tooth is 14. /end ID]
no one told Tooth there was an age limit for sidekickery, though to be fair...

[Image ID: a black-and-white digital sketch of two Sonic the Hedgehog characters. On the left is Tooth, the wolf girl from before, wheezing with laughter. On the right stands Shadow, looking extremely annoyed. He wears a t-shirt that says "Rouge had to drive me here", with a small cartoon of Rouge winking next to "here". Over his head is written his age: 65. /end ID]
...no one told Shadow either.

I would like to offer this resource for therians, an extensive list of all of Sir David Attenborough’s nature documentaries that are available on soap2day, and a full list of what species* they each (notably, prominently) feature the natural behaviors of, separated by episode, and omitting species that were only shown dead, juvenile or being predated on. This took me a while (I have been working on it since Prehistoric Planet’s release) because I did in fact have to watch every single series in full in order to list all the species and the episodes are around 50 minutes long, but enjoy.
Long post ahead:
Most of these shows have closed captioning, which is why I’ve picked soap2day. Planet Earth is the only one that doesn’t. I did not include Dynasties and Dynasties II because each episode only features one species.
Thank you to Birch (@ambiguousmutt) for his help (he watched about half of the episodes) so I didn’t have to do it individually. Credit goes to him as well.
*Sometimes Attenborough doesn’t say the specific species and I was too busy trying to get through the episodes to identify it. In those cases I just put the most specific name I could.

What canine are the new wolf variants based of?
I am possibly wrong at points and also do not know every canine ever. Also an argument can be made that all of them bar Spotted and Stripped are based of natural variation of Grey wolves (or Coyotes). (But that makes a very dull post so where possible I will be avoiding them.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stripped wolf: Wooded Badlands, Striped Hyena (Hyaena hyaena)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spotted Wolf: Savanna Plateau, African Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Woods Wolf: Snowy Taiga, Culpeo (Lycalopex culpaeus) Arguably too pale a brown.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rusty Wolf: Sparse Jungle, Dhole (Cuon alpinus) (or Ethiopian Wolf (Canis simensis) which looks closer but the habitat is wrong)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chestnut Wolf: Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Side Stripped Jackel (Lupulella adustus) (or Bat Eared Fox (Otocyon megalotis))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Black Wolf, Old Growth Pine Taiga, Grey Wolf (Canis lupus)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ashen Wolf: Snowy Taiga, Grey Wolf (Canis lupus)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Snowy Wolf: Grove, Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos) [Technically a subspecies of the grey wolf]

Another art dump, this time it's all the alterhuman profile pictures I've made for people. In order, we have a German Shepherd, a husky, a golden jackal, an arctic wolf, an Ethiopian wolf, three varieties of Canis lupus (black, brownish, and gray), a red wolf, a sea wolf, a painted dog (AKA African wild dog), an arctic fox (winter coat), a corsac fox, a fennec fox, three variations of a rex fox (typical coloration, partial melanism, silver), a Canadian lynx, an orange tabby cat, a serval, two raccoons, a spotted hyena (self-portrait lol), and a blonde black bear
If you want to use these for a profile picture, go right ahead! Some are better quality than others due to the photographs I took from Google being different-sized images. Just make sure to credit me and don't remove my signature if you plan on using any of these. If you've got any animal requests, let me know. I do this for free because I like drawing and supporting my fellow critters!

i was born in a small village by the coast. i've spent my whole life in forests and wandering by the sea, knowing that i'm a canine though i didn't have a word for how i felt until I discovered the community in 2019. years have gone by since, and i'm more connected to my therianthropy than ever before.
My identity is entirely psychological. i'm comfortable with it, and for the most part i openly express my canine identity in my day to day life.

Hi hi moot! Idk if you’re back from your break or not buttttt.. I was wondering what your thoughts are on Ethiopian wolves!! They look kinda like red foxes or dholes :3 I don’t know much about them but I find them really cool as they look pretty different from most wolves!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
picture sources: x x
Hey hey!! Just got back!! && I find them really cool!! They’re so pretty:33!! Here’s some fun facts I know about them btw !! :3 they’re also known as the red jackal, the Simien jackal or Simien fox! Unlike other wolf species, they’re solitary hunters! Their diet consists mainly of the giant mole rats and common grass rats,, but on a (very) rare occasion, they will hunt cooperatively to bring down young antelopes, lambs, and hares :D!!

So uhh,,, many people from here saw art work made by @mohich of Stav as vampires
many people from discord know that I have been hyperfixated on the idea of demons!vampire au
So I made some art 😎
Tumblr media
I will make more, soon Pyotr
But I’ll explain the more or less changes in characters made for the au
Shatov is a werewolf based on Ethiopian wolf, mostly because of the fur colour
Kirillov a vampire based on flying fox/Pteropus
Dasha is an alchemist
And Liza is a monster hunter BUT - she is more keen on trying to be civil and resolves to killing only in most dangerous situations
