There’s a vulnerability to it that makes Alex do a double take, even before he hears the words. It kinda kills him to make a big deal out of this – he could carry on justifying the extravagant purchases by giving better blowjobs – but that’s not what this is. What he wants is a summer romance steeped in mutual attraction. He didn’t ask for a very young, very hot, sugar daddy.

“You are looking after me,” he argues, flailing one arm in a way that is supposed to be expressive but probably looks a little unhinged. “Finding activities I can do on crutches? “Is that even possible?” Alex cries. “I just— Fuck. You don’t have to go all Fast and Furious, okay? I like you just as much in this extremely fuel inefficient car as I like you squeezing into a hostel bed that probably has bed bugs.”
