I feel like Sollux would be more of a league player. Karkat would try to play it but give up like a week later

HHGGH my sis frequently infodumps league to me bc she tracks the esports matches so my impression of that game is like. heavily skewed towards the glamorized big-scale competitions with dramatic live broadcasting

idk much abt the game so i tried describing the hs peeps and asked her what champions they'd play. here's what she said (my description was likely very insufficient lmaoo pls take with grain of salt) -

sollux jungler. been playing since early league days, shaco to troll, otherwise kindred (i think he'd enjoy collecting fem skins and playing girls/girl mages too. cue vc constantly trying to bait him into pronouncing 2haco LOL)

karkat would start off playing garen in top lane, then eat shit and give up. months later revisits and plays more comfortably after switching to nautilus support tank in botlane (nautilus design is so freaking cute im alr attached AAA the most perfect champ for karkat 🥺🤲!!)

terezi replaces toplane with mordekaiser, dave botlane on aphelios. not sure abt midlaner, maybe vriska as yasuo to be silly bonus :ayaya: (she's a rosemary enjoyer) - midlaner rose as orianna, jungler kanaya as evelynn

i also like sollux dota 2- not just bc there's two in the name but also because dota and league have history as genre rivals so its funny thinking of sollux being a dota og elitist that way hajaha

however in my heart the best slkt gaming headcanon wld always be mmorpgs heh. i dont play so idk how it works but i did have some old scribbs w the concept, testing dynamic

PERCEPTION  OF  LOVE         :       this  is  something  I’ve  been  thinking  a  lot  about  lately  because  there’s  definitely  a  pattern  when  interacting  with  muses  for  the  first  time  .  everyone  loves  to  hate  evelynn  .  and  she  loves  it  too  !  she  thoroughly  enjoys  getting  underneath  people’s  skin  and  seeing  them  bloom  into  whatever  mess  she’s  trying  to  push  them  towards  .  the  thing  is  though  ,  this  is  all  evelynn  knows  really  .  has  she  ever  experienced  any  genuine  form  of  love  ?  no  .  evelynn  isn’t  really  the  type  of  person  that  allows  people  close  enough  to  the  point  where  she  might  have  feelings  for  them  .  she’s�� definitely  got  her  crushes  I’d  say  that  she’d  prefer  to  keep  on  a  friends  with  benefit  level  but  otherwise  it’s  super  hard  for  her  to  kindle  some  kind  of  flame  for  someone  . 

whilst  evelynn  finds  it  fun  that  everyone  hates  her  ,  it  can  also  become  very  tiring  .  she’s  unable  to  really  forge  any  kind  of  genuine  bond  with  people  because  they  despise  her  so  .  it’s  within  good  reason  of  course  ,  she’s  not  a  good  person  ,  but  it’s  kind  of  like  one  vicious  cycle  that  ultimately  makes  her  more  angry  at  the  world  as  time  goes  on  . 

but  to  be  honest  i  think  that  after  a  literal  eternity  of  being  despised  by  everyone  ,  even  her  own  kind  ,  evelynn  is  eventually  becoming  bored  .  the  only  kind  of  ‘real’  love  she  feels  is  when  she  uses  her  charm  ,  but  in  the  end  even  that  is  still  fake  &  it’s  not  enough  to  scratch  this  itch  she  has  to  experience  something  more  genuine  . 

now  ,  you  might  argue  that  evelynn  is  entirely  incapable  of  understanding  the  concept  of  love  and  i  think  that  partly  you’re  right  ,  because  at  the  end  of  the  day  she  is  a  demon  &  her  existence  revolves  around  her  every  whim  and  this  insatiable  hunger  for  agony  .  however  ,  after  spending  so  long  around  humanity  &  getting  to  see  their  perception  of  romance  develop  into  what  it  is  now  ,  i  think  that  it’s  something  evelynn  could  begin  to  understand  . 

it’s  difficult  for  her  because  who  could  love  a  monster  ?  who  could  love  her  ,  while  still  allowing  her  to  be  free  &  do  what  she  needs  to  do  to  keep  her  demon  form  at  bay  ?  it’s  like  loving  her  will  always  come  with  catastrophic  consequences  and  that’s  scary  for  a  lot  of  people  . 

so  the  point  of  all  this  is  …  yes  evelynn  is  beginning  to  understand  love  &  is  curious  enough  to  want  a  taste  of  it  .  will  she  change  herself  for  someone  though  ?  no  .  she  will  always  be  apologetically  herself  &  whoever  she’s  with  has  to  be  able  to  stand  that  .

Concept:

If you're counting Prestige K/DA, Ahri actually has four skins in this skinline with Popstar Ahri being the first and essentially the start of K/DA. Establishing Ahri as a K-pop princess, Popstar Ahri later (I believe it was with its Wild Rift release) added more depth to her character by giving her motivations and later (I'm not exactly sure when her bio changed again but I'm assuming it was with her ASU), doubts.

Design:

I really don’t have much to say about Ahri’s design. I find Evelynn’s and Kai’Sa’s outfits to be more interesting but the All Out skins are overall very coherent.

Splash Art:

Her splash art does a good job of highlighting certain aspects of her design like her dyed hair or gorgeous tails. I find it most excels at communicating her character as a pop princess turned queen using its perspective of being from below and looking up at her as well as her posing with her hand on her waist.

Model:

I think the model does a really great job of staying true to the concept and splash art. I especially love her hair and the textures are beautiful.

Chromas:

I love any skin whose chromas feature slight outfit changes and I appreciate how this extends to her dyed hair in this skin. Chromas for Ahri skins in particular are especially beautiful because of her tails.

Animations:

The recall animation is a highlight of this skin, even more so before her ASU. It must be mentioned that Ahri overall hugely benefitted from her ASU, making her animations—including in this skin—smoother, cleaner, and just better. Fittingly, Langfjord and Cheng also worked on Ahri’s ASU animations and rigging.

VFX:

One of my favorite parts of this skin is its visual effects. Speaking as someone who has no idea what kind of work goes into making skin effects, I find that Ahri has several opportunities to incorporate new visual effects, especially with her Orb of Deception (Q). I enjoy the crystal effects and I find that both the VFX and SFX work well together and elevates the other.

SFX:

My other favorite part of the skin is its sound effects. It's probably my most favorite out of all her skins (aside from, of course, Spirit Blossom). The K/DA skins in general all have very satisfying SFX with Evelynn’s Allure (W), Akali’s Shroud (W), and Kai’Sa’s Icathian Rain (Q) being some of my personal favorites.

Voice Over:

No new voice overs or voice filters.

Value:

I got this skin from a Hextech Chest, but if I’d had 1350 RP, I’d probably buy Elderwood Ahri or perhaps Coven Ahri (both from a skinline where Ahri, again, has multiple skins—Eclipse!). But I still love this skin's sound effects the most.

concept K/DA except ahri is actually a gumiho and eve is actually a succubus, and they made the group to give them a way to "feed" off of the crowds' energy rather than having to kill individuals and get hunted down. also kai'sa is a void symbiote still and akali is half doekkaebi or horang-i.

Read a snippet below:

Eve leaned in and kissed Akali, open mouthed and heated, raw and uninhibited. Completely uninhibited.

She shouldn’t have. She shouldn’t have let her own guard on her powers down so easily, but excitement and desire alike clouded judgement, and she unleashed the full force of her nature in a single kiss that could and had drained the very life force from countless humans before.

Akali gasped into her mouth, shock and desire and the first tease at pleasurable pain that was more intoxicating to Eve than any drug.

Where her human soul should have gotten pulled into the flame, consumed and digested by Evelynn’s insatiable and uncontrollable appetite, instead, something flared into life in the space that was not truly space between them. Like an invisible and impenetrable wall, shielding Akali’s very essence from the threat to her spirit that a succubus posed.

Something about it was familiar, like shadow and smoke and dark fire in the void. 

Eve pulled back from the kiss, and stared down; heavy-lidded where Akali was wide-eyed, but both of them breathing heavily through parted lips.

The room seemed to have grown darker, shadowed. Not an unusual side-effect of Eve releasing the hold on her own nature, yet the effect on Akali was anything but the usual she had come to expect from humans.

What bare skin was exposed had tinted away from normal human tones, adopting an ominous and shadowy hue even as her tattoos shone with persistent and phosphorescent light. And beneath Eve, Akali stared back up her, her eyes unblinking with the burning and liquid gold of hell’s own false promises.

She's a singer so go rock, punk rock, metal (maybe not add her to Pentakill cuz she'll get a LOT of hate. why not put her in her own band in the Pentakill universe). How about an emo or goth skin? She'd look great in all black.

For some Halloween scares, make her a banshee. (They gonna give her a Bewitching skin tho in the future, I can feel it.) Or like a siren skin and by 'siren', I don't rly mean 'mermaid' (tho they can give her an aquatic creature look if they want). I meant like the bird woman one. But if that's too unappealing for Riot, just do the concept of luring people with your singing. (Or give that to Evelynn if they think that's too out there for Sera.)

She hasn't had a drink in like a month and it's starting to weigh on her.

It was something of a ritual; repress all the fucked up shit that happened on a day-to-day basis, all of the angst and bullshit that lay in the back of her mind just waiting to tear at her when she's down, and then just let it all out in a (semi-controlled) way every once in a while. She'd drink until her memory was fading and she'd cry and usually the Widow was there, or Angela, one time it was Lena (and that was so embarrassing) but at least she didn't remember it.

It's been a month, though, and Sombra's getting antsy and Evelynn is not helping. The woman (demon apparently, as Lena had shared and Sombra thought the concept of demons being real was fucking stupid but Lena was like a shitty Time Lord and she herself was a cyborg so) was immensely irritating right now. Usually she enjoyed their little exchanges, the way she could get under her skin and make equally pink eyes flash with something dangerous.

Right now, it's making her want to tear her hair out and jump off a bridge.

"Callate, por Dios," the hacker groaned, leaning her head back against a wall to squeeze her eyes shut. "What sin did I commit to deserve this, I haven't even done anything that bad. Ugh." Her eyes open again and her head drops from the wall to fix her cybernetic gaze on the demon across from her and something comes over her that she doesn't really get but - whatever. She crosses the distance between them with cojones she didn't really know she possessed and takes the demon's chin with her circuit hand (her claws are sharp and there's an implied violence in the way they dig into sensitive skin) and she kisses her and it's bruising. That's what Evelynn wants, right? So she gives it but she makes sure it hurts too, that it's ferocious and just this side of uncomfortable.

Then she lets go and pulls away and the expression on her face is that of a capricious and self-serving fey; smirking, catlike, self-satisfied. Then a snap of the same circuit hand and she's gone, translocating elsewhere as a conclusion to this exchange.
