Behold: This spoiled-ass bird

He naps in the birdseed until I start to refill the pan he's sleeping in. I was worried when I first noticed him, so I've already had a specialist come out to look - she's a neighbor and could easily walk over and see him herself, so I never had to stress him by trying to trap him. All she had to say was that he's very young lesser goldfinch (he's still shedding his baby nestling down in some spots) and probably has spent his entire short life watching me refill the feeders, while using the path from the thicket to the seed pans as practice as he continues to get better at flying longer distances. The gunk in his mouth in the picture is literally just millet he'd been snacking on in the middle of getting this picture. His beak is otherwise always very healthy-looking with no strange buildup or signs of damage.

Since he's always skrunkly and has the brass balls of an ancient fey, I have dubbed him... Skrunklestiltskin.

attempting going to bed at 9pm (or earlier! technically. for falling asleep time) feels so ridiculous. like some sort of joke. and yet. purportedly this is what getting up at 5am would demand. is this really something people do wtf

#m #people commonly do get up at like 5 or 6 to go to work and shit right #hell if I were going to the office I would have to as well #do they actually really truly go to bed at fucking 8:30. surely that is insane #kids don't even do that I don't think #also even if I only directly require this twice a week #I probably gotta do it every day because there's no way in hell I am successfully sleeping at 9pm if I woke up at 9am lmao #well I can get away with 5:30ish but I usually snooze for at least half an hour lol so...#my first alarm for when I get up at 9am (aiming for 8:30) is 7:48 #my first alarm for probably 5:30 is 4:48 #so my alarm clock tells me it's time to go to bed at 20:30 and I am like bruhhh #today I probably could and should since last night bedtime was 4am #but it still feels weird as hell like it's unreasonably early #I'm still buying dinners so it is theoretically possible. it would not otherwise be #and yet idk man #just a few weeks ago at 20:30 THE SUN WOULD'VE STILL BEEN UP #even now sunset is like 8pm. you want me to sleep an hour after sunset. this is silly! it's barely dusk!

tumblr live can only be snoozed to get rid of the dashboard stuff and not the stupid button on the bottom??? i genuinely hate this

being a tenant is so awesome bc if i had dogs that barked and ran around 24/7 and did nothing ab it i would be evicted posthaste but if your landlords dogs are doing that you just have to live with it AND give them all your income. i am going to kill someone

seriously a huge fan of tumblr making the app more and more unusable

#having to change the text color back and forth just to see what i’m typing 😭#also the snooze live feature suddenly being as inconvenient as possible to turn off. ok #<- i have to go in over and over & keep turning the (expired) snooze off until it kicks me out of settings and i can go back and turn it on #every week🔥#also the way tumblr skips around the feed on mobile and on the website. that one is my favorite personally #love to be guided through posts by god rather than my own hand. really good feature guys
