The two halves of my updated ceiling display, currently at 600/1010 Pokemon
The first half goes from #001 Bulbasaur to #505 Watchog
The second half goes from #506 Lillipup to #1010 Iron Leaves
Currently I have crocheted way more Pokemon in the first half, so that side looks much fuller. I'm not sure when I'll be up to crocheting anything more, probably not anytime soon, I'm still considering this on hiatus, but I thought it would be nice to share the updated display.
I recently started learning how to crochet, and I came up with a little chant to repeat to work in some knot magic. This one is for a scarf I’m making as a gift for my friend:
I love talking to strangers!!! Talking to strangers rules!!! Today I stood in line for a bakery for 30 minutes and I made friends with (and got some sunscreen from) a 5yo and his mom, and heard all about the 3 stuffies he had with him! I gave tattooer recommendations to a woman who went to the same college as my husband! We talked about pastries and gardening and the weather and the neighborhood! Everything is beautiful and joy is everywhere!!!!!!
Since forcing myself to only knit/crochet every other day I haven't had any pain in my arms or hands and no longer feel the urge to keep working past the point of it hurting
I've gotten more or less the same amount of work done in my projects cause I can work on them longer on the days I do knit/crochet and ive gotten more art done on the off days then before 👍
Whodve thought being in constant unnecessary pain was so bad for you 😐
Technically this is me backtracking to practice project #1 from Everyday Crochet, but mostly I just wanted to try out a new stitch (moss stitch) and use up more of the extra cotton yarn I have.
(I still have more of both yarn skeins, so debatable success on that front.)
Also, cotton is really soft and what I'd been using up to now was a cheap, half-decade-old washcloth that was quite past its retirement date...
I have been trying to reorganise the storage in my craft room to make it more functional, but the problem here is that my craft room is full of very exciting distractions
as I find unfinished projects or supplies I had a specific plan for I am trying to pull them out and get them ready to go, because one of my goals this year is to work through as many UFOs as possible, but its extremely hard to get them all prepped and not go straight into working on them 🙊
after quite a few days of work I am starting to feel like I am making progress and some storage areas are beginning to come together, which is great! but the room still looks like a small tornado has occurred.
and I accidentally started a new crochet project when I have multiple Much More Important projects I should be finishing
Gonna watch Violent Night as I panic crochet my gradpa a scarf for Christmas. It was originally going to be a hat in a totally different yarn. I've never seen this man wear a winter hat or a scarf but by god is he going to have a handmade gift by me.
I am currently, quite inexpertly, crocheting eyeball granny squares to make a desperately desired cardigan. I have plans to knit a cauldron shaped bag to go with it.
