(sad & happy at the same time.. I wrote this today)

I had a superhero in my house.

All this time.

Wondering how folks could lack imagination and let him

slip through their fingers

When this is the guy you always keep around.

Dont you remember his helping

you. Such that 'thank you'

seemed unimportant,

So you let him fly away?

When shit hits the fan the walking talking insurance plan

Who can diagnose the solution

before you explain the problem

Ive watched that man help people and care more about keeping them comfortable than claiming any credit

I was never bothered by the brigade of the bonkers who lost him and then belated were bilwidered because they blocked a blessing

That wasn't my problem. I knew if I had to I'd always

find an excuse

to live next door to

wherever he'd be.

But I didn't have to..

I had a superhero in my house.

We shared the same body.

Where could he go?

So I just took him for granted.

Only talked about his weaknesses

And stayed his kryptonite

for years

So now as we move

to brand new lands in

brand new times

I will spend the rest

of my life telling him I'm sorry

And letting HIM lead the way.
