New Magic

Hey guys! I know it’s been a really long time since I wrote a fanfic. I’m really sorry. I had a lot of stuff going on in my life but I’m back baby! 

Also it’s sucks what happened with Final Space. But don’t worry if you sign this https://www.change.org/p/adult-swim-hulu-netflix-hbo-max-warner-bros-and-tbs-renew-final-space it can give us a chance to save it. It didn’t deserve being canceled. 

I know I already wrote a fanfic about the Team Squad meeting my OC Trina Starlight, but the last one was more of a prototype. This one is gonna be the real one. It’s also a bit of an AU where Avocato never died in episode 6, and it would take place after The Set Up because I never liked Clarence. Some of them would take places in episodes but in my own version. 

So relax and enjoy the story! 

It’s been a few days ever since Clarence was expelled from The Team Squad for his betrayal. Ash and Fox was still hurt that their adopted father would hurt them like that. But they were slowly recovering thanks to Gary and the others. Right now in the Crimson Light ship, everybody was just relaxing and trying to find another dimensional key. Then Gary noticed a ship that was coming toward them yet breaking apart.

Gary - "What's going on?"

AVA - "There appears to be a small ship coming toward us."

Gary - "An enemy ship?"

Nightfall - "No...*zooming in closer* The ship looks like it's falling apart and something is coming out of it."

Avocato - “Tried to contact them.”

Gary - *was pushing buttons* “Alright. Hello? Hello? Can you hear me whoever is there?”

There was nothing. Just static noises and crashing. Nightfall tried to get the person on screen but it was static as well. 

KVN - “Ooh! Are we watching a movie?”

Gary - *annoyed* “Get out of here KVN!”

Just then, a comet came and smashed the small ship. The smash caused the ship to be destroyed into pieces and it spat out a small vessel who was injured. The small injured vessel was just floating and appeared to be unconscious but holding tightly to a gray bag.

Gary - *squinting*  "What is that? Is it an alien?"

Avocato - “Or a monster?”

Nightfall - "Well whatever it is, we need to bring it in! It looks badly hurt.”

KVN - "Yay! We got a new friend coming in!"

Gary - *annoyed* "Nobody wants to be your friend KVN."

Avocato - "Come on Gary. We need to get that thing now."

Little Cato - "Be careful guys!"

Gary - "I will, you're not getting rid of me this easy."

They went out in their space suits and flew to save the mysterious stranger. Gary and Avocato saw that the mysterious stranger looked injured and the suit was a little ripped and it was bleeding a little. It still had the gray bag held tightly in its hand. Gary grabbed the mysterious stranger in his hands.

Avocato - "We need to take it back to the ship. If it is evil, we get to kill it."

Gary - *freaked out* "...Ok then. That’s  kind of creepy Avocato."

Gary and Avocato flew back to the ship with the unconscious stranger. After getting back in the Crimson Light, they took the stranger to the infirmary and gently placed it on a bed and hung their bag on the shelves. Avocato took off the space helmet revealing an unconscious young girl around Little Cato's age. She has shaggy brown hair in a messy ponytail, a star tattoo on her right cheek, pointy elf-like ears, blue goggles with yellow rings on her head, and wearing a red bandana. Everybody was surprised and intrigued that the mysterious stranger Gary and Avocato rescued was a young girl.

Gary - "Whoa...It's a little elf like a kid."

Avocato - "She's not an elf Gary."

Gary - "Then how do you explain the ears?"

KVN - *close in* "Ooh! She got a tattoo on her face! It's a pretty star!"

Gary - "Don't get too close KVN! You shouldn't be close at all, period."

Avocato - *rolled his eyes* Anyway, her ears are like that because she's a Wizardian."

Gary - *confused* "Uh what now?"

Hue - "There are these humanoid aliens Gary. They have the power to do alchemy and shapeshift."

Gary - *amazed* "That sounds freakin epic."

HUE - "And it appears that she's around Little Cato's age."

Nightfall - *concerned* "But is she okay?"

Ash - "Yeah she looks dead. Dead things always look gross and creepy and not the good kind."

AVA - "Don't worry. According to my infirmary status, she has some minor cuts and a small concussion. She will be fine soon."

HUE - “You really are an expert on health aren’t you?

AVA - “You know I can always check you out anytime.”

HUE - “That sounds hot.”

Avocato - "Good. It's a good thing that she's still alive. But we still might have to kill her if she's hostile or evil. Or even both at the same time and they both be difficult to be dealt with. Let's not do anything to her until she wakes up."

Everybody agreed and left the medbay to let the Wizardian girl rest off her injuries.

Then a little while later, the girl woke up in the infirmary and looked around. She was scared and confused at the same time because she was in a strange ship. However, her injuries were patched up and her head didn't hurt as much.

Girl - *moans and looks around* "Huh? Where am I?"

Then KVN popped out which frightened the girl.

KVN - "Hey you're awake! Hey everybody *singsongy* she's AWAKE!"

Hearing KVN's annoying voice but the important information, the others came and saw the girl awake. The girl stood up and pressed a button on her goggles and her space suit came off revealing her clothing style. She was wearing a blue crop top with a yellow spot on it, medium black tights, a blue skirt and black boots with black fingerless gloves along with a black hooded cape.

The girl - *nervous* "Uh hi?"

KVN - "Hello! I'm KVN! Nice to- *gets shoved away*

Gary - "Yeah ignore him, I'm Gary, the captain of this ship. And who are you?"

The girl - "My name is Trina Starlight."

Gary - *smiles* "Nice to meet you Trina."

Avocato - "My name is Avocato."

Little Cato - "And I'm his son, Little Cato."

Fox - "Hi I’m Fox.*points to Ash* This is my precious sister Ash."

Ash - "Sup! I’m Ash! Just trying to be normal out there *laughs* don’t look at me.”

Hue - "I'm Hue."

AVA - “I’m AVA. The ship’s AI.”

HUE - “And a damn good one she is.”

Nightfall - "And I'm Nightfall."

Mooncake - "Chookity pa!"

Gary - "And this little guy is Mooncake."

Mooncake - "Chookity!"

Trina - "It's really nice to meet you guys. So uh-"

Fox - *yelling* "Are you a bad guy!? Huh?! Are you!?"

Trina - *scared and confused* "Uhh no?"

Ash - *threateningly* "Are you here to steal Little Cato? Cause he's mine!"

Little Cato - *confused* "Wait I'm what?"

Nightfall - "Okay, okay let's just calm down and just ask her what she is really here for."

Trina - "I was traveling to find some dimensional keys."

Avocato - *suspicious* "Wait, why are you looking for them?"

Trina - “Do I need a reason?”

Gary - “Well actually yes. I mean you can’t just look around for keys without a reason. 

Trina - “Look I just need them. Will you guys help me or not?”

Feeling uncertain about the girl they just met. Gary whispered to the others:

Gary - *whispers* “Guys? Conference”

They all nodded and they went to the other room. Then Gary took a deep breath and said: 

Gary - “Okay let here some thoughts.”

Mooncake - “Chookity pok!”

Gary - “Okay that’s one. Anybody else?”

Little Cato - “I don't think she's dangerous. Maybe she is afraid to tell us.”

KVN - “She could be a new friend for us!”

Ash - “I don't know. She seem suspicious.”

Fox - “With a capital S!”

Avocato - “Yeah I mean she won't tell us on why she wants the keys. Who knows, she could be a spy or something.”

Fox - “Like an evil spy.”

Gary - “Guys, Guys, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We don't even know her yet. We can’t make these assumptions.”

Little Cato - “Yeah I mean maybe she has a good reason. Plus she just met us. I’m pretty sure we had trust issues when we first met.”

Ash - “Well I did like you when I saw you.” 

Gary - “But Spider Cat got a good point. Even though she was rescued by us, we are strangers to her.”

Avocato - “I guess that's true. Still we should keep an eye on her just in case.”

Nightfall - “Right cause we still need to be careful.”

Gary - “Okay then.”

They go back to Trina who was sitting in one of the chairs. She turned and saw the others.

Gary - “Okay we can let you help us find the key.”

Trina - *happy* “Really? Thanks!”

HUE scanned Trina's face tattoo with his eyes and said:

HUE - "Interesting. Trina's face tattoo represents The Star Fighters."

Gary - *confused* "The who?"

Little Cato - “Who are they?”

Fox - “That sounds like a band name.”

Ash - “Like a rock band.”

Avocato - "Wait...I remember that name! They were a rebel team that would battle against the Lord Commander and his army. I heard of them and their leader was named Edward. Can’t believe I nearly forgot about them.”

Ash - “Were you part of the StarFighters Trina?”

Trina gave her a suspicious look and got up from her seat.

Trina - *confused* “How did you know that?”

KVN - “Cause your cool tattoo!”

Trina - “It’s not a tattoo! It’s a scar that I got is all.”

KVN - “Ooh! I even like your bandana and goggles!”

KVN was about to touch them, but then Trina swat him away. KVN landed on the other side of the room and just when he was about to get up, Gary kicked him just for the run of it. 

Trina - *angry* “Don't touch them! Don’t you ever touch them!”

Little Cato - *a bit freaked out*  “Whoa easy there!”

Trina - *calmed down* “Sorry. I’m just very protective of them.”

Avocato - “That’s alright. We will take notes.”

Trina - “So any word on those keys?”

AVA - “Actually yes. I found a dimensional key."

Gary - *excited* "Really?!"

AVA - "Yes it is on the planet Zidel."

Gary - "Take it there right now AVA!"

AVA - "Affirmative."

KVN - "Ooh a new trip! Can't wait to see the planet!"

Gary - "Can we just drop him out in space to die?"

Avocato - "We will do that later. We need to get that key first."

Gary - "True, true."

They landed on the planet and they saw how city like it is but also abandoned. So far it was actually peaceful for an abandoned planet and they were walking. All of them also have weapons just to make sure if somebody or something would come after them.

Gary - "Wow...This place looks like New York only without people."

Avocato - "It looks like it hasn't been populated in years."

HUE - "According to my data the key should be here somewhere."

Little Cato - *to Trina* "Are you the only half Wizardian?"

Trina - "Oh no. On my home planet, there are a lot of different half Wizardian. They can breed with any type of species."

Little Cato - "That's pretty cool!"

Ash - "Can they shapeshift into anything?"

Trina - "Yes. But I haven't mastered that part yet. It's harder for half Wizardian to mess with their powers."

Ash - "Makes sense."

Then they heard strange noises.

Mooncake - *started to get scared* "Mmmm…"

Gary - "What is it buddy?"

Fox - "I got a good feeling somebody else is on this planet."

Gary - "Any ideas who?"

They heard noises and hid behind two large stones. They saw a gang of vicious alien looking bikers. Some of them had more arms, eyes, legs and they were different colors. The biggest one was the leader who was blue skin, four arms, and was wearing a black leather jacket, yellow and green striped shirt that was long, and brown boots. He had sunglasses on and a toothpick in his mouth. 

Biker - *smug* “Well well, look what we got here.”

Biker 2 - “What is it boss?” 

The team squad got scared thinking they got caught but instead it was some other alien who was dressed in rag and had purple skin. They look like a mix of gremlins and dogs. The rag alien looked scared as the biker gang approached close to them. 

Biker Boss - “Ya got your taxes?”

Alien - *scared* “P-Please! I'm all out and- 

Biker Boss - *annoyed* Excuses! Excuses! *he took out a weapon shoot them in the leg * can't follow simple rules. Come on gang. Let's see if there are any more people who didn't pay.” 

They drove away in their bikes and the Team Squad were horrified by what they witnessed. They quickly ran to the injured alien and he got scared and flinched. 

Nightfall - *comforting* “Its okay. We aren’t gonna hurt you.”

Nightfall took out her first aid kit and treated the alien’s injuries. Then after she finished, the alien smiled and said:

Alien - “Thank you kind stranger.”

Fox - “Are you feeling okay?”

Alien - “Yes. But I’m just worried about the others.”

Little Cato - *confused* “Others? What others?”

Then all of a sudden, more aliens came out dressed in rags. Some of them looked tired, hungry, cold and miserable. Some of the aliens even had kids and they look the same as their parents. 

Ash - *concerned* “What happened to you guys?”

Alien woman - “The Big Bang.”

Gary - “Wait you guys had another Big Bang? But didn’t the Big Bang theory happen like a million years ago?”

HUE - “Gary. I think she meant those biker gangs we saw.”

Alien Woman - “You see many years ago, We use to be a peaceful colony. Those bikers were simply called The Big Bang. They were just regular annoying bikers causing minor damage like kicking trash cans and graffiti. One day, they found this box and they got really powerful. Now they called themselves The Terror Marauders because to them, it sounds cool. They had this powerful weapon that caused destruction. They use it to control our planet. Now we have to pay for things and if we don't they use their box weapon to destroy our life and do what they want. 

Avocato - “Box? What box?”

Alien Woman - “It looks like some glowing box. Like if there was like a tiny meteor in it.”

Trina - “Wait, you mean this?”

Trina took out a sketchbook from her bag and flipped a few pages. Then she showed them the picture of the dimensional key. One of the aliens look scared and backed away. 

Alien - *afraid* “That the cursed box! It will destroy us all!”

Gary and the others look at these aliens sympathetically. They don’t really blame them for being scared. Especially how they are getting terrorize by gangs. Trina turn to the gang and said:

Trina - “Maybe we can get it from them. These people don't deserve to get bullied.”

Gary - “How though? Those guys look pretty tough.”

Little Cato - *cocky* “Come on Thunder Bandit, we dealt with tougher people before.”

Gary - “Very very true.”

KVN - “Let KVN find the people! I'm good at finding things.”

Gary - *annoyed* “No you're not!! push KVN away* First we gotta find those biker bandits and get that key.”

Avocato - “I got a plan that just might work.”

Little Cato - “What is it Dad?”

Avocato - “Follow my lead.”

Avocato took out a machine and it began to make a beeping sound. 

Fox - “What is it?”

Avocato - “It a tracking device. It able to help us lead where those bastards are.”

They began to walk up north and then they turned west. It gone for almost half an hour and Gary was starting to look a bit restless. Then all of sudden, KVN said:

KVN - “Ugh this is boring! Hey, we can play a spying game! I love spying game.”

Gary - *annoyed* “How about you shut the hell up?!”

HUE - “I never realized how walking is a blessing and a curse at the same time.”

Avocato - “Don’t worry guys, we are almost there.”

Fox - “I sure hope so. I don’t know how much walking I can take.”

Avocato - “We are here.”

They pointed to the biker gang place. It look big like a mansion but also runs down. There were even scary looking dog-like creatures outside. Some of them was either pacing or even sleeping.

Fox - “I think this is their hideout.”

Gary: *sighs* “Typical. Why is it that every bad guy hideout is at a shady bar? Or some run down dump.”

Trina - “Probably cause they wanna show they are tough.”

Gary - “True. *to Avocato* So what's the plan Avocato?”

Avocato - “The plan is that we quietly sneak inside and then Trina can use her powers to get the keys.”

Trina - *nervously* “Ohhh uhh… I actually have an idea to get the keys without umm my powers.”

Ash - “Really? How?”

Trina - “Hey I’m a master of stealing. I can take it quietly even without my powers.”

Fox - “It actually would make things a lot easier.”

Little Cato - “And even faster.”

Gary - *concerned* “I hope you're right.”

Little Cato - “Relax, we got this.”

Trina - “Yeah we can handle this no problem!”

Gary then walk to Avocato and out of earshot he said:

Gary - “So what you think of Trina?”

Avocato - shrugs “She’s alright. But something about her is off. Yet I get this familiar feeling in my gut that sometimes it won’t shut up.”

Gary -“Did you visit her planet at some point?”

Avocato - “I'm not sure I mean I did visit a lot of planets I probably came to her planet when I was...you know.”

Gary - *nodded* “Right. The only thing is she won't tell us why she want the keys or even not using her powers.”

Avocato - “She must have an important reason. I just wish she would tell us.”

KVN - “Hey! Maybe we can ask her. Oh! I can get it out of her by playing 20 questions! Gary and I played it a lot when we were in prison.”

Gary - *annoyed* “More like he wouldn't leave me alone for hours!”

Little Cato - “Hey guys! Sorry to interrupt your meeting but we talk about the plan: Trina and I can sneak in the roof. You guys go inside in case something happens.”

Avocato - “Absolutely not. It's too dangerous.”

Little Cato - “No dad, listen. She and I are agile enough to get inside undetected. Just trust me please.”

Trina - Yeah we can do this together *serioisly* Sir, I can protect your son. I promise. Please trust me.”

Avocato - *doubtful* “Well....alright. But just be so careful

Little Cato - *nodding* “I promise.” 

As both Little Cato and Trina went to the back of the house, Gary turned to the others. 

Gary - “Okay while they do that, we should check inside but quietly. And I mean quiet.”

Fox - *loudly* You got it! 

Ash - *freaked out* “Maybe a little less loud Fox.”

Fox - *embarrassed* “Oops.”

Little Cato and Trina quietly ran to the back of the house. They managed to avoid getting caught and now at the back of the house. They saw that the back wall was old, moldy and had some broken parts. 

Little Cato - “Okay we need to get up on the roof.” 

Trina - *nodded* “Okay let's climb.” 

Little Cato - “Aren't you gonna use your powers?” 

Trina - *nervously* “Ummm…I prefer climbing. It's more fun.”

Little Cato - “That’s a good point. I am an expert climber after all.”

They began to clip up the wall. They managed to dodge some broken wood and holes. Little Cato kept staring at Trina and didn’t want it to be awkward between the two of them. He never liked it when things are too quiet between him and another person. Then again, sometimes his social skills weren’t that great. He cleared his throat and said:

Little Cato - “So…You have family?”

Trina - “Huh? Oh! Yeah I have a mom.I lost my father when I was real little.”

Little Cato - *sympathetically* “Oh…I'm sorry about that.”

Trina - “Don't worry it happen a long time ago.”

Little Cato - “I kinda understand how you feel. I grew up without a mom.

Trina - *sympathetically* “Oh I'm sorry about that.”

Little Cato - It's okay. *nervously* Y-You know what, to keep this from getting too weird, I got a dad and Gary and they are cool. It's like I have two dads now.”

Trina - “Nice!”

They made it to the roof and noticed there was a big hole in it. They looked down and saw the biker gang asleep and one was holding a key in a cage. There were also a lot of glass bottles on the floor, money; and other things thrown around. They also saw the dog-like creatures there walking around and sleeping. 

Little Cato - “I see it!”

Trina - “Alright lower me down so I can open it.”

Little Cato - *confused* “Wait, lower you down?”

Trina - Yeah. I know how to open it. Besides, I'm wearing tights under my skirt. So it's not like you're gonna see my underwear.”

Little Cato: *blushing* “I'd never do that!!”

Trina - *chuckled* I know that. Now hold on to my ankles and don't let go.”

Little Cato - *nodded* “Got it.”

Little Cato grabbed Trina's ankles and began to lower her down. However the board Little Cato was kneeling started to break but thinking quickly, he used his tail to grab another hanging piece of wood. Little Cato began to lower Trina down further. He also almost dropped Trina but tightened his grip.

Little Cato - *whispers* “You okay?”

Trina - *whisper* “Yeah I'm fine.”

Little Cato - “Let's just hurry. Those dog things are creeping me out. I think I saw one that ate a mouse.”

Trina - “Right.” 

Trina saw the cage. She opened a pocket knife and began to pick at it. Little Cato was confused. He kept on wondering why Trina isn’t using her powers since she’s a Wizardian.

Little Cato - “Why aren't you using your powers to open the cage?”

Trina - *annoyed* “Will you shut up!? I got this.” 

Little Cato - “Just use your powers!”

Trina - “Be quiet!”

Little Cato - “Your powers!”

Trina - *snapped* “I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE MY POWERS ALRIGHT?!”

Little Cato looked at her in shock. But the shouting caused one of the dog-like creatures. It looked up and saw Little Cato and Trina. It began to bark loudly at them and it even one of the bikers woke up.

Biker - *waking up* “Huh? What?”

Little Cato - *dismayed* “Oh great.”

Trina - “Quick! We need to get out of here!”

Little Cato began to swing Trina and threw her out the door. Trina tumbled into a ball so she would have a soft landing. Little Cato began to swing himself and threw himself out the door and actually landed on his feet. Both Trina and Little Cato began to run as the creatures began to chase them. As Little Cato began to shoot them, he glared at Trina and said:

Little Cato - “You lied to me, you know that?”

Trina - *shocked* “What?! No I didn't.”

Little Cato - *pissed* “You didn't tell me about not knowing your friggin powers!”

Trina - *pissed and defensive* “Why is it your business?”

Little Cato - *sarcastic tone* “Gee maybe it’s because I don't like it when my new teammate is not honest with me!

Trina - *surprised* “You actually thought of me as a new member?”

Little Cato - “Kind of! I don’t know! I thought of you as a friend!”

Trina - *annoyed* “Can't we argue about this later?! We need help!”

Little Cato - “Alright fine but until you can be honest with me, you're not coming with me next time!”

Trina - “Hey!”

Little Cato - “Well that's what you get!”

Trina - *mad* “You jerk!”

Little Cato - *mad* “You're the one to talk!”

Then they saw Gary, Nightfall and Avocato a few feet away from them. They were shooting some of the dog creatures. One almost tried to bite Gary, but Avocato shot it. Mooncake blast some away when he saw more of them coming. Then they turned around and saw Little Cato and Trina coming toward them also running and shooting the dog creatures. 

Little Cato - “Dad!”

Avocato - *concerned* “You kids okay?”

Gary: “Wheres the key?”

Trina - “We didn't get it.”

Little Cato - *annoyed* “Cause somebody doesn't know their powers.”

Gary - *shocked* “Wait What?”

Trina - *defensive* “That wasn't my fault!”

Little Cato - “Was too!”

Nightfall - “Stop it! We can talk about that later! Let's get the key and get out of here!”

Little Cato & Trina -  “Fine!”

“Bad doggies! Bad!”

They turned around and saw Ash and Fox fighting the dog like creatures. Fox was shooting them, and Ash was blasting them away with her powers. Also for some strange reason, they had a bag full of coins and stuff. 

Ash - “And this is why dogs sometimes creep me out.”

Fox - “And they are usually playful and nice. But these are playfully deadly!”

They began to shoot them until they were all gone. Then the others ran toward them.

Avocato - “You guys okay?”

Gary - “Wait, where HUE?”

“Over here Gary.”

They turned around and saw the dog-like creatures biting into HUE. But it was actually difficult due to HUE being metal. Then KVN popped out with a dog like creature biting his antenna.”

KVN - “Ooh I think it’s like me! Can we keep it?”

Nightfall shot the one that was chewing KVN and HUE. 

HUE - “Thank you Nightfall. I frankly didn’t have to worry since I’m made a metal. While you guys would of most likely look like chewed up bacon if it ever bite you.”

Gary - “Wow. Thank you for that HUE. Now that we are all here, we need to find the key and fast!”

“You mean this key?”

They turned around and saw the smug bike leader holding the key in his hand. His gang came out and they were holding weapons like guns and chains. They were ready for a fight. The Team Squad had a determined look on their faces not going to give up so easily.

Nightfall - “Those keys don't belong to you. Surrender the key now and leave this planet.”

Biker - *smugs* Oh we will leave…After we turn you into dust!”

The biker leader began to laugh as he activated the key. It let out a powerful beam laser power and the Team Squad dodge it. The other biker gang began to shoot and throw things at them. Trina was about to come out to fight but Gary said:

Gary - “No. Trina, you need to stay here.”

Trina - “But you guys need to get the key.”

Nightfall - “It’s too dangerous for you. Since you don’t know how to use your powers, it's better to stay put and not get hurt.”

The Team Squad got out of hiding and began to fight back. 

Gary - “We need to get that key!”

Mooncake - “Chookity pok!”

Mooncake blasted some away, killing then. Fox and Ash fighting other bikers. Some tried to jump Ash, but she blasted them away. However, she was starting to get tired as more was coming toward her.

Ash - “There are too many of them!”

Fox - “Leave them to me baby sis!”

 Fox fired up his gun and began to shoot. Meanwhile while hiding, Trina hates to admit that Little Cato was right: it wasn’t cool of her to lie about her powers since she saw how her new friends are in a dangerous fight. She hated sitting on the sideline and doing nothing. Trying to figure out what to do, she saw the biker leader with the key and two taser rods on the floor. Then Trina came up with an idea and ran out of her hiding spot. 

Trina - “One of you guys! Throw me over there!”

All - “What?!”

Gary - *shocked* “Did you hit your head or went insane?!”

Little Cato - “That is the craziest idea I ever heard!”

Trina - *annoyed* “Do you wanna get that dumb key or not?!”

Avocato - “Let just do it!”

Trina - “Now throw me!”

Fox picked her up and threw her in the air. Trina took out two taser rods from her back and turned them on. She landed on the ground, quickly took out the rods and placed them on the leader’s chest. The taser rods began shocking him with powerful lighting. He screamed in pain as his gang backed away not wanting to get shock as well. The shock from the rods caused him to let go of the key and drop it in the air.

Trina - “Grab it!”

KVN tried to get the key but he missed. HUE even tried to get the key but he also missed because he didn’t stretch his arms long enough to grab it. Then Ash flew up and quickly grabbed the key. 

Ash - “I got it!” 

Trina stops the shocking and quickly starts to run back to the Team Squad. As she was running back to them, one of the biker gang shot her in the leg with a laser gun. It caused her to fall on the ground.

Trina - “Crap!!”

Nightfall - *concerned* “Oh no!”

Trina tried to stand up but the pain was too much. She saw that her leg had a nasty burn mark on her leg. It was difficult for her to get back up. 

Avocato - “I got her!”

Little Cato - “Be careful!”

Trina still was having trouble standing up thanks to her injured leg. But then she felt Avocato picking up Trina and gave her a piggyback ride.  

Avocato - “Got you baby!”

Trina - “Whoa! Uh thanks.”

Avocato - “Let get out of here!”

They all make a run for it. They kept on running as more of the biker gang kept on shooting at them. 

Gary - “At least we got the key!”

Ash - “And some new cool stuff Fox and I took!”

KVN -”Yay! Souvenirs!”

Gary - *annoyed* “Why won't you die!?”

Trina - “How close are we?”

Nightfall - “We are almost there!”

Gary - “Keep going! Don't stop now!”

Mooncake noticed how the biker gang wouldn't give up. He realize that they will always terrorize the people on the planet as well. So did a big laser beam power and shoot it at the biker gang. The biker gang was now nothing but dust and there was nothing left of them. The Team Squad was shocked and amazed at the same time.  

Gary - “Whoo! Nice shot Mooncake!”

Trina - *amazed* “Whoa!”

The alien citizen came out of hiding and began to cheer. They can now be safe and have to worry about mass destruction. Gary couldn’t help but smile and wave at them. It was one of the few times he truly felt like a hero and this would make his father so proud of him. Then they made it to the Crimson Light and flew away. Gary put the key in a safe place, while Avocato took Trina to the medbay. He helped fix up her leg and bandage it up. 

Trina - “Umm…Thanks for the help.”

Little Cato - “Yeah...no prob.”

Gary - *sternly* “Little Cato told us something interesting about you.” 

KVN - “Oooh I love interesting facts! I know a lot of them!”

Trina - *annoyed* “Let me guess, my powers?”

Nightfall - “Why did you lie about that?” 

Trina - “Because…It's not easy to talk about.”

Little Cato - “How can we trust you if you're not honest?”

Trina - “Oh like you guys are always honest to each other?”

Fox - *beat* “She got us there.”

Gary - “And why did you want the keys? Is there like another door to the universe or something? Or just wanted to do some weird collection?” 

Trina - “Because.”

Little Cato - “See? I told you she wouldn't talk. Let's keep the key and she can leave.”

Trina - *scared* “No! Those keys are evil!”

Gary - “Evil? What do you mean, evil?”

Trina - *sighs* The leader of the StarFighters was my Dad Edward. He had one of the keys. He married my mother Donna and she was human. Making me half human. Half Wizardians have more difficulty learning their powers. My dad would help me train and I love him a lot. Then 3 years ago, the Lord Commander came and attacked my home and my family. He blew up my house with me and my Mom inside. I was dying and badly hurt. That when my Dad decide to do the Wizardian Exchange 

Gary - “Wizardian Exchange?”

HUE - “It's where a Wizardian can bring the dead back to life.”

Gary - “Oh so it's like playing God.”

Trina - *sadly* “More like a fatherly sacrifice. He gave up his physical form to bring me back to life. The brown hair, my ears, the star on my face…They belong to my Dad….Even the goggles and bandana is all I have left of him. Ever since then, I wanted to not only to fulfill my dad's dreams of helping people, but finding the keys to destroy them so they won't hurt people ever again. Like they hurt me and my family…”

Avocato - *sympathetic* “Oh man...I'm so sorry.”

Trina - “And I didn't use my powers cause I'm still in training on how to use them. I was also too embarrassed to admit it.”

Little Cato: *guilty* “Oh...I see.”

Trina - “And that's why I wanted those keys: I wanted to destroy them so they won't hurt anybody.”

Gary - *serious* “Well I'm sorry but we can't let you do that. We need these keys.”

Trina - “But why?”

Gary - “We have our reasons.”

Trina - “Hey I told you my reasons. Tell me yours.”

Little Cato - “I guess she has a point.”

Trina - “So spill it.”

Gary - “Oh fine. We need to get to Final Space to save Quinn.”

Trina - “Who's Quinn?”

Gary - *dramatically* My Soulmate! The missing piece of the puzzle of my heart. *normally* she is trapped in Final Space and the only way to save her is those keys.”

Avocato: “That's why we can't give them up. They're for our friend.”

Trina - *guilty* “I didn't know that…I just thought they hurt people.”

Ash - “No. it's more than you think.”

Fox - “They can be used to free people as well!”

Trina *guilty* I see. I guess I was wrong. I'm sorry…I just…Didn't want anybody to get hurt like I was.”

Little Cato - *apologetic* “Hey it's okay. I'm sorry I acted like a jerk to you. One person deceived me and my Dad before and I haven't really gotten over it. It is hard trusting some people you know.”

Trina - “It's okay. You had your reasons as I had mine. So…When do you guys want me to leave?”

Gary - *surprised* “Wait, you want to leave?” 

Trina - “I thought you guys would want me too.”

Little Cato - “Wait! Look, I was being too harsh. If I'm being honest, I don't want you to leave.”

Ash - “Yeah! I mean you were awesome back there with those fights.”

Avocato - “And you are pretty resourceful.”

Trina - “But what about my powers?”

Nightfall - “Maybe we can help you. I can help train you on how to use them.”

Trina - *hopeful* “You can? Really?”

Nightfall - “Of course.” 

Gary - “So What do you say, Trina? Wanna be part of our Team Squad?”

Trina - “Do Ii want to be part of the Team Squad? Does a bear crap in the woods?’

Gary - *confused* “Yes they do but that doesn’t answer my- *realize* Oh! I did what you did there. That’s really clever.”

KVN - “Yay! New member! *hugs Trina* “We are gonna be besties!”

Trina - “Get off!”

She swat KVN away and he was swatted to the wall. Gary said:

Gary - “I like this kid! She’s gonna be perfect!”

Avocato - “So Gary, where did you hide the key?”

Gary - *put his finger on Avocato’s lip* shh shh shh. It’s a secret that nobody and I mean NOBODY must ever find out. All I will say is that it is hidden somewhere that is so secret it will give it a new definition of a perfect hiding place!”

HUE - “Is it under your bed Gary?”

Gary - *defeated* “Damn it.”

Wasted Potential: Todd H. Watson/Hushfluffles (Final Space)

(Idk if this is going to be a series or not, but I wanted to talk more in-depth on Todd since not a lot of people talk about him much. Also, heavy spoilers for Final Space.)

Ah, Final Space, a great animated show for adults with a compelling story, fun characters and moments that just pull at your heartstrings. At least until it got cancelled and left us on a big cliffhanger. Thanks Warner/Discovery.

Although, while a great show, it has it's fair share of bumps in the road. Fox's death when we barely knew him, some of the jokes and Biskit? Well... Let's not talk about Biskit. I'm here to talk about one of the show's villains that isn't the Lord Commander. No, I'm talking about Todd H. Watson, better known by his fursona, Hushfluffles.

Todd was introduced in the second episode of the second season, being in his fursuit until revealing himself to Gary and the Team Squad near the end. When we first meet him as Hushfluffles he appears as friendly and cuddly, putting on a deceiving facade in order to trap Gary and kill him slowly in his dreams. But thanks to Mooncake, they escape with Gary. What I find funny is that despite how determined he seems to want to kill Gary, he seems pretty lazy at it, since we don’t see him again until “The Lost Spy”, where he kidnaps Gary’s mother, Sheryl. 

Sheryl manages to free herself pretty easily and tells Todd that she doesn’t care about Gary. However, she’s caught off-guard by a syringe in her neck, which knocks her out, allowing Todd to try and find info on Gary in her head. But what he finds is that Sheryl wasn’t lying, she really hates Gary and decides to form an alliance with her. She gets the Dimensional Keys and he gets Gary.

Though, in the episode “The Descent into Darkness”, Todd easily gets wrecked by Tribore and is sent flying away from the Happy Place ship in a one of his own bubbles. And we never see him again... Until later into Season 3, in “Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge Rising”.

He’s one of the Team Squad’s enemies who saw their transmission to Clarence, and heads to where Clarence is going to turn on the portal to Final Space. He has Clarence at gunpoint, but the Dewinters, Mega-KVN, the Queen of Galang-22 and Time Swap Sammy. As they either kill each other or leave to form a new relationship, Todd manages to fatally shoot Clarence, but gets impaled by one of the Evil KVNs, where he dies, believing his mission is done. But Clarence manages to open the portal before he dies.

So, yeah, that was Todd basically. A mass murdering furry hellbent on revenge over the death of his family. I feel like the writers had two different ideas for characters and just decided to meld them together into one. A dreamscaping furry alien and a human who wants personal revenge on Gary. Both are great ideas on their own, but you can’t have the character be both, especially since Todd was supposed to be sympathetic.

But I mean, look at this shit! We're supposed to feel sorry for a guy who's been killing people for who knows how long?! And he wants us to feel sorry for him because his family died and he blames Gary for something he had no control of?

Todd could’ve been much better than what we got, especially since the crew behind the show think they can’t live up to the Lord Commander. But they don’t have to. Batman and Spider-Man have their rogues galleries and each villain is unique and great their own.

I'm thinking about watching Final Space. Do you have any words to sway me into starting that first episode? (based on the infodump post you reblogged; if you'd rather not, just ignore this ask!)

huge apologies for being a couple days late for this ask!! i just sorta randomly pop in here occasionally whoops. bUT i am more than glad to tell u abt final space lmao

so here’s a very basic, fairly spoiler-free (as in it spoils nothing other than the first ep) summary; final space is about this dude named gary goodspeed, & gary met this girl named quinn ergon (there’s multiple spellings of her last name, this is the one i go with) at this bar & he mightve screwed up rlly badly while tryna impress her (i.e. he accidentally blew some stuff up whoops) & got sentenced to 5 years of solitary prison on this ship called the galaxy 1. galaxy 1′s got an AI named H.U.E. who keeps gary in check & also an ‘insanity avoidance companion’ named KVN whom gary rlly hates. & while serving his time, he ends up encountering a squishy green lil alien orb dude whom he names mooncake!!! mooncake’s apparently wanted by this evil dude called lord commander who’s just a Nasty Tyrant Guy & he sends bounty hunters directly to the galaxy 1 to retrieve him - one of which is a cat person (’’ventrexian’’ is what they’re called) named avocato who gary quickly decides to befriend bc he’s so dang lonely - & shenanigans ensue

it’s a serialized show, it has a plot, & very stunning visuals & really well-written characters. it currently has 2 seasons, its 2nd just finishing sometime in september, so there’s plenty of time to binge before the 3rd one comes along!! i would highly recommend it if ur into sci-fi & story driven plots (& also a lot of potential heartbreak bc tht’s there too) uwu

FINAL SPACE 3.09 - Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge Rising

The red guy and the little purple guy are in the background of the “sliding across the car” scene, (I uh, think the implication is that Red Guy just shot Purple Guy? If that’s the case, is Red Guy a bad guy killing an innocent Purple Guy, or was Purple Guy somehow threatening Gary until Red Guy swooped in and saved the day?)

(Anyways, the white shape on Red Guy’s chest looks a lot like the Infinity Guard uniforms, and the red is almost the same color as Gary’s prison uniform. Coincidence?)

Obviously the weird buff Gary dancing with the cookies is the same weird buff Gary sliding across the car, and I’d hope that there’s not more than one episode this season featuring weird anthropomorphic cookies, so yeah, gonna go out on a limb and say the scene with Gary getting waay up in that cookie jar is from the same episode. Plus like, his other arm’s still kinda buff. So. Yeah.

Anyways, I’m sure this is all happening here:

The snowy mountains on the left side, combined with the purple lights, and clouds, looks a lot like where Red Guy is, and the impossible architecture and whimsical layout of this place make a lot more sense if this is some sort of “dream world.”

And when I say “dream,” here I don’t mean, “he’s gonna wake up and realize it was just a dream,” ‘cause like, that’d be lame as hell. I mean more like, maybe somehow, something is turning his dreams into reality?

Maybe it’s similar to the Lazarus Trap, but it’s more of someone trying to keep Gary stuck in a lotus-eating machine, a “trap” that he won’t want to leave?

And if this is in fact some sort of “Gary’s dream world,” then what if perhaps his “dream” starts to turn into a nightmare?

And here, every crew member except Gary is fighting against the evil KVNs, ‘cause I’m sure he’s still far too busy going to town on that cookie.

(Okay not Nightfall or KVN or HUE but Gary’s absence still seems pretty noteworthy)

Admittedly these last two are a bit of a stretch, but all the rest I’m almost certain are from the same episode.

Team Squad Fun Day

Gary was just looking at some news stuff on the computer. It was one of those rare times nothing in space is trying to kill them. He was actually graceful that for once him and his crew got a day off. Gary kept on looking on the computer until he saw a planet called Donetua and saw that the planet is opening  fair and it caused Gary to basically yell in excitement.”

 Gary - “Oh my god!! No way!!”

 All of that yelling causes everybody to come to the room where Gary is at. They saw him basically jumping up and down excited like a little kid. 

 Little Cato - “What is it, Thunder Bandit?”

 Gary - *excited* “There's a fair on this planet!”

 Trina - *confused*  “A fair?”

 Jemima - *confused* “What's that?”

 Gary - *surprised* “You don't know what a fair is?”

 Jemima - “Uncle Gary, up until I escaped, I never left the orphanage.”

 Trina - “I never to been to one either.”

 Little Cato - “Me neither.”

 Avocato - “Same.”

 Ash - “Well me and Fox did once. At least I think it was a fair.”

 Fox - “Yeah. We only were there to help Da-Clarence steal stuff. Do fairs involve rocket ships and death lasers?”

 Gary - “Uhh no.”

 Ash - “Then no. We have never been to a fair.”

 Gary “What?! You guys gotta be kidding me!”

 Jemima - “What do you mean, Uncle Gary?”

 Gary - “The fair is like one of the best places to be! It's like if a piece of heaven fell on earth and grew to show people its super awesome goodness.”

 Little Cato - “What do you usually do there?”

 Gary: *chuckles* “Oh where do I begin, Spider Cat? There is fun stuff like the athlete’s games, the Ferris wheel, roller coaster, bumper cars, prizes.”

 KVN - “Oh!! We can ride them together! Because Gary and I are best friends!”

 Gary - *push KVN away* “Get away from me you robotic demon devil!”

 Trina - “What about the food?”

 Gary - “The food is amazing there!”

 Jemima - “What do they have?”

 Gary - “Oh tons of great stuff! They got cotton candy, pizza, French fries, and many other stuffs!”

 Trina - “Sound good!”

 Little Cato - “Yeah. Makes me kind of hungry.”

 Jemima - *excited* “I wanna see it!”

 Fox - *excited* “Me too!!”

 Trina - “Why don’t  we go now? I mean there aren’t any evil guys to try and destroy us all.”

 Avocato - “That’s true. Who knows this could be a good day off?”

 Gary - “Exactly! This is like the golden ticket! A once in a lifetime trip to happy memory land!”

 Mooncake - “Chookity pok!”

 HUE - “I agree with Mooncake and Gary. This could sound fun. And with this new god like body, I can probably win lots of prizes.”

 Gary - “Then it’s settled. AVA, take us to Donetua!”

 AVA - “You got it Gary.”

 The Crimson Light speed up and make it to the fair. Gary is the first one to step out. His eyes widen in amazement: 

 Gary - *excited* “Come on, guys! Let's go!”

 Avocato - *chuckles* “ Slow down bud! Wait for us!”

 Jemima holds her father's hand. While she was amaze on the things the fair has, she couldn’t help but feel nervous. She has never seen so many people since her old home at the orphanage. 

 Jemima - *nervous* “You think it would be safe Daddy?”

 Avocato - *comforting* “I'm sure it is, baby. Gary wouldn't suggest it if it weren’t.”

 Trina - *look around* “It does look colorful.”

 Jemima - “And bright.”

 Little Cato - “There is a lot of people.”

 Avocato - “A ton of people so you guys better stay close to me, okay?”

 Jemima - “Okay Daddy.”

 Trina - “Sure thing.” 

 Little Cato - “You got it!”

 The Team Squad was walking around the fair. While they were close together, they saw Gary basically looking around and running. It was like watching a little kid who is excited to see Santa at the Mall. 

 Jemima - “Have you been to a fair before, Uncle Gary?”

 Gary - *nodding* “Yep. I loved them as a kid. My dad would take me here.”

 Avocato - “So what are we doing first?”

 Gary - “We can take baby steps. Since it all yours for the first time while I’m the ride master.”

 Jemima was looking around the fair. She keeps seeing rides like roller coasters, catapults, spinning rides and they all look too scary for her. Then Jemima sees a ride that looks interesting and not scary. 

 Jemima - “What's that, Uncle Gary?”

 Gary - Oh that's the merry go round!

 Jemima: There's horses on it! Can we go on its Daddy?

 Avocato - *smiles* “Sure honey!”

 Little Cato - “I'll ride with you, sis.”

 Trina - “Me too! It looks fun.”

 Ash & Fox - “Wait for us!”

 Fox - “I love horsy!”

 They head to the ride and Jemima & her brother pick out a beautiful horse. The horse was white with a gold mane design. Trina was on a black and white horse; Ash was on a pink and purple horse. Fox was on a brown horse with white spots on it. Fox got it and was able to sit on it despite his size and he was really excited. Jemima had a little trouble getting on her horse, but Little Cato lift her up to help her. 

 Little Cato: *holds his sister up* “Up you go.”

 Jemima - Thank you big bro!

 Little Cato smiles and climbs up to sit with his sister. At first the ride was doing anything, and they were confused. Fox was slightly bouncing in excitement and wanted the ride to go now.

 Trina - *confused* “So what does this thing do?”

 Gary - “It just goes around as the horses go up and down. It takes a few second to work.”

 Jemima - “Are you guys coming too?”

 Avocato - *shook his head no* “It's okay. We will watch.”

 Gary - “Besides, we need to take pictures of you kids!”

 Jemima and Little Cato smile as the ride begins to move. It surprised them at first, but then seconds later they began to enjoy it. 

 Jemima - “Whoa it's moving!”

 Little Cato - “Here we go!!”

 The ride began to move, and Jemima began to enjoy it. She never had fun like this in a long time. 

 Jemima - “Weee!!”

 Little Cato - “This is fun!”

 Fox - “This is the ride of my life!”

 They ride as the adult’s wave to the kids and take pictures. Gary smiled because he remembered the times, he would ride the Merry Go around with his Dad. It was one of his happiest memories. Even after his Dad died and burnt down his house, Gary would often sneak into the fair and go on the merry go around to relive those memories.

 Avocato: “I love seeing my baby girl and son so happy.”

 Gary - “Yeah it's so sweet.”

 Avocato - “This is the first time I've done anything like this. I mean the closest thing Little Cato and I did together was training. Sometimes I wish I can go back in time and act like a real father to him.”

 Gary - “Hey you are a real father to him. You took care of him and love him. Even died for him. That’s like ultimate dad love. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t do these kinds of things with him.”

 Avocato - *smiles* “Thanks man.”

 The kids have fun until the ride stops and they get off.

 Avocato - “Did you like that ride, sweetie?”

 Jemima - *happy* “Yeah! I like it a lot!”

 Little Cato - “It was pretty cool!! What other rides can we do next?”

 Trina - “Yeah! I got this awesome rush in my veins! It’s hard to ignore awesome rushes in veins.”

 Gary - “Well there are roller coasters.”

 Ash - “What are those?”

 Gary - A ride that goes up, down, and all around. It’s like a loop de loop of extreme movement.”

 Jemima - *scared* “Sounds scary.”

 Gary - “It's actually fun!”

 Avocato - *concerned* “Uh Gary? I think she might be too young for that kind of ride.”

 Gary - “Oh yeah good point. There's the Ferris wheel and that’s also one of my favorite rides.”

 Jemima - “What’s that?

 Gary - “It's like a big wheel that take you up and down.”

 Jemima - *nervously* “Is it safe?”

 Gary - “Oh totally. I rode on it all the time.”

 Avocato - “How about I go with you and Uncle Gary on the Ferris wheel while your brother goes with the others on the roller coaster?”

 Jemima - *happy* “Okay!”

 Little Cato - “Have fun Jemmy!!”

 Jemima - “Thanks! You are too.”

 The kids head to the roller coaster while Avocato and Gary  take Jemima to the Ferris wheel.

 Avocato - You ready baby?

 Jemima: *nods* Uh-huh!

 Gary - “Trust me you will love it. It’s also one of my favorite rides.”

 Avocato - “Is every ride your favorite ride?”

 Gary - “Not all of them. The catapult tends me freak me out sometimes.”

 They walk up to the Ferris wheel. It was big with beautiful light colors. Some people where on them and there were a few empty ones. Gary, Avocato and Jemima got on a red one and sat down waiting for the ride to be ready. 

 Avocato - “If you get scared you can hold my hand.”

 Jemima - “Okay Daddy.”

 Gary - “Don't worry. You got this Jemima, you’re a Team Squad: they can always face new challenges.”

 Jemima - *smiles* “Okay I'm ready!”

 The Ferris wheel moved a little meaning it was starting to get ready. Then the Ferris wheel slowly began to go up.

 Avocato - “Here we go!”

 Jemima feels excited at first but as the ride went higher, she started to feel nervous. She never was this high up since she was escaping the orphanage with Emma and the others. 

 Jemima - *nervous* “Oh we are really high…”

 Avocato - “It's okay, sweetie. You can hold my hand.”

 Jemima holds her daddy's hand tight as the go up to the top and it stops.

 Jemima - “Hey it stops!”

 Gary - “It's okay sweetie. It's normal for this ride.”

 Jemima - *scared* “Oh...okay that fine.”

 Gary - “Are you okay, honey?”

 Jemima - “I never been up this high...Expect the day I escape *start to get scared* It feels....so scary! *tears up* What if I fall off?!”

 Avocato - *held her hands tightly* Now don't worry baby you won't fall off. I'll always protect you.”

 Gary - “‘Me too. Whenever you fall down, we will always be there to help you get back up.

 Jemima hugged her dad tight and buried her face at his side. 

 Avocato - “We promise.”

 Jemima - “Thank you Daddy.”

 Avocato - “Aww you're welcome princess.”

 Jemima smiles at her father and Uncle Gary who smiled back at her. Gary then looked up in the sky. Sometimes whenever he sneaks here, he would go on the Ferris wheel just for a ride. When it stops at the top, he would always look up at the sky. When he looks up at the sky, Gary would always think of his Dad. He would remember the space stories his father would tell him and how they would pretend to have space adventures. Even though John died, Gary sometimes like to imagine that instead of John dying, he simply out there in space having lots of space adventures to protect the Earth. But he knows that this is reality and reality can sometimes be a real tearjerker. Then the Ferris wheel began to move again.

 Jemima - “It's moving!”

 Avocato - “Yep. We'll be down soon, Jemima.”

 Jemima - “Okay this isn't so bad!”

 Gary - “Almost there.”

 Then the ride stopped, and everybody got off. Jemima actually felt happy because despite being scared for a little bit, she actually had fun on the Ferris wheel. 

 Jemima - That was actually fun!

 Avocato: *picks her up* “You see? I told you it was safe.”

 Jemima - “Thanks Daddy! Thanks Uncle Gary!”

 Gary - “Anytime cupcake.”

 Avocato - “I wonder how the others ride were.” 

 Then they saw Little Cato and the others looked dazed. Their hair looked a bit messy, and they were wearing t-shirts. At first, they were quiet which slightly worried Avocato, Gary and Jemima. But then Ash began to shout:

 Ash - “That was the best ride ever!!!! The loops, the speed, it was amazing!!”

 Fox - “I feel like a part of me died, and another part of me have just been born!”

 Little Cato - “I didn't even care that I puke!”

 Trina - “Neither did it!”

 Jemima - *a bit concerned* “Are you guys okay?”

 Little Cato - *excited* “Are you kidding? We had a blast! Dad the ride was so awesome!!

 Avocato - “I'm glad son!”

 Trina - “And how was y’all ride?”

 Jemima - *happy*  “It was fun actually! Daddy, Uncle Gary, and I went really high and then really low and high again. It was so fun!”

 Little Cato - “That’s great!”

 Gary - *stomach growls* “Anyone hungry! 

 Jemima - “I am!”

 Trina - “Yeah I can grab something to eat.”

 Fox - “Yeah I'm starved!”

 Gary - “Well we can fix that! Come I'll take you to the snack place.”

 Little Cato - “What do they usually serve here, Gary?”

 Gary - “Stuff like cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, French friends, big pretzel, etc.”

 Jemima - “I want some cotton candy!”

 Ash - “Me too!”

 Gary - “Okay! After snacks we get to win prizes!”

 Jemima - “Oh yay!!”

 Avocato - “This is actually a good plan Gary.”

 Gary - “Thanks buddy.”

 Then they made it to the snack bar. Luckily for them it wasn’t full since there weren’t many people. Jemima’s eyes widen in amazement. She never seen so many snacks that look really tasty. Jemima couldn’t wait to taste them. 

 Jemima - *amazed* “Wow! Look at all the snacks!”

 Gary - “Yep! Get whatever you want, kiddos! The treats on me!”

 Trina - “Oh that's awesome!”

 Jemima: Thanks uncle Gary!

 They went to the stand. The others began to look around on what snacks they wanted. Jemima had a little trouble seeing, but Avocato picks her up so she can see better. 

 Jemima - *smiles* “Thanks daddy.”

 Avocato - “No problem baby. What snack do you want Jemima?”

 Jemima - *thinking* “Hmmm...I wanna try cotton candy!”

 Avocato: *chuckles* “You got it, baby.”

 Little Cato - “I think I'll try a corn dog.”

 Trina - “I'll get some popcorn.”

 Fox - “There's some cheese fries with my name on it!”

 Ash - “Ooh I wanna try the hot dogs!”

 Avocato: *smiles* “Alright kids, one at a time.”

 They all order the snacks. Then they went to a table to relax and enjoy eating their snacks. Jemima was amaze on how soft and pink her cotton candy food was. It even smelled really good and sweet. After a minute admiring her food, Jemima began to take a bite out of her snack.

 Jemima - *delightful* “Wow! This is super yummy!”

 Little Cato - *eating his food* “Yeah and this is good too! Hey sis, wanna trade bites?”

 Jemima - “Okay!”

 Jemima takes a bite of Little Cato’s corndog while he takes a bite of her cotton candy. Jemima eyes widen on the taste of the corn dog. Even Little Cato’s eyes widen on the sweet taste of the cotton candy: 

 Jemima - “Wow this is tasty!” 

 Little Cato - “So is this cotton candy!”

 Trina - “I wonder what snack Gary got?”

 Gary comes back with another dish in his hand. He sat down in his seat and when he opened the over, it was some funnel cake. 

 Gary - “Thought I'd get some funnel cake for you guys to share. It been one of my favorite cakes.”

 Trina - “Ooh it looks good!”

 They all take some bites. Jemima’s eyes widen like if she tasted the most wonderful food in the world. 

 Jemima - *amazed* “This is so good!”

 Fox - *amazed* “This is like heaven inside of my mouth!”

 Little Cato - “Yeah! I never tasted anything like it!”

 Gary - “You never had sweets?”

 Little Cato - “Oh I have. Just not funnel cake. Actually...I rarely had any sweets.”

 Avocato - “Yeah I guess I wasn't much of a cake person. Anything sweet in general.”

 Jemima - *confused* “Why not Daddy?”

 Avocato - “I don't know. Maybe I never ate a lot of sweets. I don’t really have a huge, sweet tooth.”

 Jemima - “To be honest, me neither.”

 Gary - “They never gave you candy?”

 Jemima - “Actually no. "Mom" didn't want us to spoil our meals and never gave us any.”

 Trina - *sympathy* “Aw man that's tough.”

 Jemima - “Actually not really. They had home cook  food meals at the orphanage. They were tasty though!”

 Gary -  “Well at least they fed you kids.”

 Jemima - “Yeah and we did have lots of  fun. I played with my friends all the time. *sighs* I just hope they're okay.”

 Little Cato - *concerned* “Aw don't worry I'm sure they are okay. I mean at least you guys escape.”

 Jemima - “Yeah. But I still miss them. In fact, you guys kinda remind me of my friends.”

 Gary - “We do?”

 Jemima - Yeah. Gary remind me of my big sister Emma.”

 Ash - “You have a sister?”

 Jemima - “Well back at the orphanage, we may not be related but we were all siblings to each other. Emma was like a big sister to me...Little Cato and Daddy remind me of Ray.

 Avocato -*touched* “Aww really?”

 Jemima - “Yes. You both care about me and help me when I'm scared. He the one who helped me escape.

 Avocato - *smiles* “Sound like a good brother.”

 Jemima - “He was…*smiles* But I still have a great brother.”

 Little Cato - *smiles* “And who's that?”

 Jemima - “You silly!” *hugs him*

 Little Cato - “Well I am an awesome brother. Before I met you, I never had any brothers or sisters.”

 Jemima - “Really?”

 Little Cato - “Yeah I was an only child.”

 Ash- “I didn't know that.”

 Trina - “So was I.”

 Gary - “Yeah me too.”

 Fox - “Same.”

 Ash - “I did have a sister once.”

 Jemima - “What happened to her?”

 Ash looks down in sadness. Jemima knows that when somebody look down in sadness and have a sad face, that means they lost them. She knows because she saw Emma and Ray had that look before when Norman was shipped away. 

 Jemima - *feeling bad* “Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say anything!”

 Ash - *comforting* “It's okay you didn't know.”

 Gary noticed how everybody looked a bit sad when Ash mentioned her sister. Not wanting this to be the depressing fun fair, Gary stood up and said: 

 Gary - “Hey I know what would cheer us up.”

 He pointed to games where you can win prizes. It was a few feet away from them. The first game was a laser gun game where you have to shoot the moving target. 

 Jemima - “How do we play, Uncle Gary?”

 Gary - “Simple, you need to shoot the target to get a prize.”

 Jemima - *sad* “But I can't shoot.”

 Little Cato: *cracks his knuckles* “You let your big brother take care of that, Jemmy.”

 Jemima - “You can do it?”

 Little Cato - *cocky* “Hey, I've had years of practice.

 Avocato - *encouraging* “You can do it son!”

 Little Cato plays the game, and it was a bit difficult as first. But he didn’t give up because he wanted to win for his sister. Little Cato remembers the lessons his father taught him about focusing on the target and not let the frustration get the better of him. Then in no time, he wins. 

 Jemima - *happy* “Yay!!! He did it!!

 Gary - *cheering* “Way to go, Spider Cat!”

 Little Cato - “Thank you!”

 Alien - *bored* “Okay pick a prize you want.”

 Jemima looks over the prizes. They had some prizes like basketballs, laser guns, but some really weird ones like eyeball in jars, and weird screaming small aliens in cages. These prizes aren’t very fitting for Jemima. But she did a cute pink teddy bear with a pink bow. 

 Jemima - *happy* “That pink teddy!”

 Gary - “Okay! Can we have that pink teddy please?”

 Alien - *bored* “You got it.”

 He hands the teddy to Jemima. Jemima looked so happy and gave it a big hug.  

 Jemima - *ecstatic* “Thanks! *hugs Little Cato* Oh thank your big brother!”

 Little Cato - “No problem Jemima!”

 Ash - “My turn next!”

 Trina -  “Let’s do a contest!”

 Ash - “What kind of contest?”

 Trina - “We both play this game at the same time and see who wins first!”

 Ash - *smug* “Oh you're on! And this is for Little Cato too!”

 Trina - *confused* “Why?

 Little Cato - *confused* “Yeah why?”

 Ash - “Because I like you remember?”

 Little Cato - “Oh right.”

 Jemima: Good luck!

 Trina - *smug*  “Don't worry I got this!”

 They both play the game. They began to shoot the targets. Deep down Trina wanted to use her magic because she loves to win games. However, she remembers how her parents will tell to play fair and using magic in games is cheating. 

 Gary - “Go girls go!”

 Fox - “You can do it Ash!”

 Then the game is over. It shows that Trina beat Ash by one point. 

 Trina - *cheering* “I won!! Yes!!!”

 Ash - *dismayed* “Aw come on! You have magic!”

 Trina - *defended* “Well so do you!”

 Alien - “Actually all game booths have a non-magic barrier to prevent cheating.”

 Trina - “Oh well...I still won!”

 Alien - Alright, what will it be young lady? 

 Trina looked around the prizes. She didn’t really want a pink teddy bear because she not a fan of the color pink. Then she saw a snow globe that had a plant design in it.

 Trina - *impressed* “Ooh I want that one!”

 Then the alien gave her the snow globe. Trina smiled because she loves snow globes as long as she can remember. 

 Gary - “Good choice, Lady Magic!”

 Little Cato - “Let us see!”

 Trina show her friends her new snow globe. Everybody was amaze on how it looked.

 Jemima - “Ohh it's pretty!

 Ash - “It does look pretty cool.”

 Trina - “I always love snow globes. I love these things.”

 Little Cato - “Are they your hobby?”

 Trina - “Yep!”

 Jemima - “So cool!!”

 Avocato - “Anything else we should do Gary?”

 Gary - “How about we play some more?”

 Little Cato - “Is there anything else besides this one? It can get boring after a while.”

 Gary - “Well There's skeeball, basketball, and shooting galleries.”

 Little Cato - *amazed* “Ooh Let's do a shooting gallery!”

 Jemima - “Maybe you and Daddy should have a contest too!!”

 Little Cato - *smug* “Hmmm...Maybe I can take down Dad.”

 Avocato -  *smirks and chuckles* “Okay yeah? I could whup you with my eyes closed!”

 Little Cato - “So can I!”

 Avocato - “Alright you're on!”

 Little Cato - “Ooh I'm gonna beat you so bad!”

 “Avocato: In your dreams, kiddo!”

 The Team Squad was now at the shooting gallery place. Luckily, it wasn’t crowded and not many people were in it. But they do practice shooting and see how many holes they can shoot in the target board. Avocato and Little Cato was getting ready.

 Jemima - “Good luck!”

 Then the game started and both Avocato and Little Cato began to shoot their board target. 

 Trina - “You can do it Little Cato!”

 Gary -  “Come on buddy!!”

 Little Cato - “Heh. Don't choke now, Dad!”

 Avocato - In your dreams!

 Jemima - “Who do you think will win?”

 Gary - “I say Avocato he got more experience.”

 Fox - *offensive*  “Hey, younger generations always win!”

 Ash - “Yeah it's true!”

 Jemima - “Do your best!”

 Then the timer beep and the game were over. Then the scoreboard shows that Little Cato and Avocato ended in a tie. 

 Alien - “It's a tie!!”

 Trina - *amazed* “Wow! You guys were awesome!”

 Little Cato -  “Thanks! It was fun!”

 Alien - “You both can pick out a prize.”

 Avocato and Little Cato began to look around. They saw how the prizes had some guns. While it looked cool, they already had lots of guns. Then Little Cato spotted a music player and takes it. 

 Little Cato - “I really like this one.”

 Avocato - “Nice. I think I'll take...That acoustic guitar.”

 Gary - “You play guitar?”

 Avocato - “I used to back when I was a teen.”

 Jemima - *amazed* “That's so co daddy!

 Little Cato: You never told me that?

 Avocato - *shrugs* “Eh. I kinda gave up on it after I grew up.”

 Gary - “Really how come?”

 Avocato - “Had too many things to focus on to do my hobby.”

 Gary - “Well now you get to focus on it again.”

 Jemima - “I'd love to hear you play, daddy!”

 Little Cato - “Me too!”

 Avocato - *surprised* “Oh really?”

 Gary - Yeah! It would be cool.”

 Avocato - *smiles* “Well okay.”

 Jemima - “Yay! It will be so cool!”

 Little Cato - “Yeah!!”

 Fox - “Come on, guys! I'm gonna try the strength game!”

 Ash - “Oh I know you will win that easily!”

 Fox - “Heck yeah!”

 He goes to play, and he was so strong he knocked the bell off the game. His prize was a big stuffed dog.

 Fox - *ecstatic* “Check it out y'all!”

 Jemima - *surprised* “That's a big doggy!”

 Ash -  “Nice job bro!”

 Fox - *hugging the dog* “I love this doggy!!”

 Ash - Now I need to find a game so I can get something too.”

 Jemima - *How about that one?”

 She points to the skeeball booth. She saw some people playing the game. They were winning tickets and getting prizes.

 Ash - *amazed* “Ooh that looks fun!”

 Little Cato - “Go try it!”

 Ash pick up the ball and threw it and it made in the hole and a ticket came out. Then she kept playing and more tickets came out. Ash kept on playing until the timer beep and she got lost of tickets. 

 Ash - “Hey look! Some paper came out.”

 Gary - “Those are tickets. You win more of those; you can exchange them for prizes. Now you get to pick a prize with them.”

 The alien took and counted the tickets. Then he said 

 Alien - “Actually she has enough for 2 prizes.”

 Ash - *cheering* “Yes! Yes!”

 Gary - “Alright! Okay pick your prize.”

 Ash picks out an action figure for her prize. Then she saw Jemima and got an idea. 

 Ash - “I have one more to pick so it's your turn, Jemmy.

 Jemima - “Really? I get to pick another prize?”

 Ash - “Sure! Go ahead. You deserve it.”

 Jemima looked around and had a little trouble deciding. She knows that she WAY too young to have a gun. Then she saw  a Pokémon plush  which was a teddiursa. 

 Jemima - “I like this one!”

 Ash - “Nice!”

 Jemima - “Thanks Ash”!

 Ash - “No problem. I felt like you needed a prize.”

 Jemima hugs Ash. Ash was a little surprised because nobody ever hugged her accept her brother and sister. But somehow, Jemima reminds her of a younger Harp and Ash hugged her back. 

 Jemima - “What do we do now?”

 Gary - “Have more fun if y'all want! We have lots of time.”

 Jemima - “Yeah! We can win more stuff!”

 Fox - “And eat more snacks!”

 Little Cato - “And more rides!”

 Gary - “Alright! Let's do this!”

 They all go have more fun and it was a blast.

Jemima got a couple more dolls, Avocato & Gary did some karaoke, & Little Cato and his friends rode more rides. For once in their life, they were having fun and not have to worry about no bad guys or anything. Then they were starting to get exhausted. 

 Gary - *exhausted* “Okay...How about We head home huh?”

 Everyone agreed at once. Jemima had her head on her Dad’s shirt but was starting to get sleepy.

 Jemima - *sleepily* “Mmmm…”

 Avocato - “I think this little one is tired the most.”

 Avocato picks her up and carries her as Jemima rests her head on his shoulder. Avocato smiles because it reminds him the time Little Cato was younger and whenever he gets tired, his father would carry him. 

 Avocato: *pats het back* “Poor thing is all tuckered out.”

 Ash - “Who can blame her after all the fun we had.”

 Little Cato “I don't. I had a blast!”

 Trina - “Yeah it was really fun!”

 Fox & Ash - “It was so awesome!!”

 Avocato - *smiles* “It was actually.”

 Trina -  “Thanks so much, Gary!

 Little Cato - “Yeah! We needed this.”

 Gary - *smiles* “Anytime Guys. I wanted you all to have some good memories like I did.”

 Avocato - “Well you defiantly gave us a lot of good ones. I've never seen my kids so happy.”

 Trina - “And I never had this much fun.”

 Fox - *smiles* “Neither have we.”

 Ash - “Like I'm gonna remember this moment forever!”

 Little Cato - “Me too and I know Jemmy will too.”

 Gary - “I think she had a great time out of all of us.”

 Avocato - “Her face was lit up the whole time. She loved every minute of it.”

 Gary - “Well I did want her to give a fun memory.”

 Avocato - “Well you did, buddy. And I can't thank you enough for that.”

 Gary - “No problem Avocato. After all we been through, I felt like we needed it.”

 They  smiled at each other as they went back to the ship. Once they entered the ship, everybody went to their rooms and Avocato tucked his daughter into bed and set her new toys next to her.

 Jemima: *sleepy* “Daddy?”

 Avocato - “Yes Baby?”

 Jemima - “Thanks for a great time. And tell Uncle Gary I said thanks too.”

 Avocato - *smiled* “No problem.”

 Jemima smiled and did a cute yawn. Avocato gave his daughter a kiss good night and left the room.

 Avocato - “Good night princess. I'm glad you had a fun time.”

 Jemima smiles and fell asleep as Avocato close the door. Then before he went back to his room, he saw Gary again and said:

 Avocato - “Hey man. I just wanted to thank you again. For the trip. We needed it.”

 Gary - *smiles* “No problem. After we all been through with Invictus and the Lord Commander, we deserve it.”

 Avocato - “Yeah we did. I just wish I did this stuff with Little Cato when he was younger...I felt like I wasted his childhood.”

 Gary - “Hey don’t say that. I mean I know it wasn’t perfect but at least he still has you. I still carry that happy moments I have with my Dad to keep going. Sure, the life burrito had some burnt parts...REALLY burnt parts, there was some good stuff too. It not too late with Little Cato and it’s definitely not too late for Jemima.”

 Avocato - *smiles* “Thanks man. I just want to be a good father to them. I don’t want go to back to where I didn’t spend much time with Little Cato and have him taken away from me for 3 years.”

 Gary - “Hey, those 3 years are really major bumps. But you managed to past them. You still can make these memories for both him and Jemima. They love you and you love them. And I know with me and the others, we can make these memories action pack and even heartwarming combine like a sandwich.”

 Avocato - “Thanks man. I know I can’t make that without you.”

 Gary - “Hey man. We are back to back for life.”

 They did the clasps of friendship. They vow they will always be in Little Cato and Jemima and the rest of their friend’s life and make amazing memories. Even if it really bumpy, they will get past it because they are a Team Squad.

Escape

A short story for my Final Space Rogue Soldier AU. This part shows how Gary breaks out Mooncake and flee from the Infinity Guard. Enjoy!

Gary calmly walked past two Infinity Guard soldiers, neither of them suspecting a thing with his helmet on. He walked down the long hallway and turned two corners. Once the coast seemed clear, he aimed his blaster at the door lock and shot it. The panel exploded and the door opened by malfunction default.

At the center of the lab was his little green ball friend, miserably trapped inside a small force field cage.

“Mooncake,” Gary said. If he had known what sort of cruel plans they had for such an innocent creature, he would have never said anything about Mooncake. Gary regretted letting Mooncake go. As he approached his friend, the small alien became hostile on site and whimpered. “It’s okay, little buddy,” Gary reassured, taking off his helmet. “Look, it’s me.”

“Chewp chewp?” Mooncake immediately recognized him.

Gary pulled the switch, lowering the shields. “I’m so sorry, Mooncake. Could you ever forgive me?” The first thing Mooncake did with his newfound freedom was hug Gary warmly in the face. Gary graciously accepted it. “Okay, bud. Let’s go.”

“Not so fast.” Gary turned around to see General Stone blocking their only exit, pointing the gun at Gary.

“Stone… you no good sphincter sack!” Gary yelled, outraged at the man he once trusted.

“Now that’s no way to address your superior,” he retorted. “Put E-351 back in his cell like a good soldier and maybe we can sort things.”

“I am done taking orders from you or anyone else.” Gary raised his gun at the general. Frightened, Mooncake stayed close to Gary’s side. They glowered silently into each other’s glares until Stone broke the silence.

“It’s a real shame, Gary, how you’re going to give up your life-long dream for that thing.”

“Hey, Mooncake has feelings! You don’t get to talk to him like that while I have a gun pointing at your face.”

“Right back at you,” Stone replied, reminding Gary that he also has a gun aimed at his face.

“What does the Lord Commander want with Mooncake anyways?”

“You have no idea, do you? That small alien whom you perceive as helpless is a planet-destroying super weapon. It has wiped worlds out of our star maps.”

Gary chuckled, thinking that Stone must have truly lost his marbles? There was no way a plushy, huggable green ball could be dangerous. He waited for Stone to say psych, but when he turned to look at Mooncake, he saw his friend looking down in remorse. “Little buddy?” Mooncake frowned, quaking even more.

“With a weapon like that, the Lord Commander can rule the Galaxy.” Stone took a couple of steps forward. “I’m going to give you one last chance, Goodspeed. Hand over E-351 now and we can forget this whole thing happened. You can either live as a proclaimed hero, or die in disgrace. Your choice.”

Gary looked back at Mooncake. All of this started when Gary met Mooncake. Mooncake was nothing but good to him. He just knew that Mooncake would never hurt anybody. People who would want to use his powers for evil are the real monsters. Gary’s only mistake was delivering his friend to the clutches of evil. With the world against him, all he knew was that Mooncake was his only friend right now.

Gary glared back at General Stone. “His name... is Mooncake.” Gary shot Stone in the forearm, disabling him of his weapon. Stone cried out in agony as he dropped to his knees, cradling his bleeding arm inside his chest. Gary walked over and picked up his gun. “The Infinity Guard is the last message of hope in the universe? What a load of crap. If this is the government that’s supposed to hold order and protect the universe, then I’d rather be an outlaw than serve sphincter sacs like you.”

“You will pay for this!” Stone groaned. Gary shot him in the leg, causing Stone to let out another blood-curdling scream of pain.

“Chookity...” Mooncake looked at Gary with concern. Gary proceeded to the door with a straight-laced expression.

“Let’s go, Mooncake.”

As soon as the two entered an elevator, the alarm in the entire headquarters set off.

“Attention all Infinity Guard personal. Rogue soldier Gary Goodspeed is at large. Code indigo. Repeat. Code indigo.”

“Really? What correlation does indigo have to do with that specific situation? I would’ve gone with red!” Gary complained. 

The elevator stopped and opened the door to three Infinity Guards approaching. As soon as Gary was spotted, he repeatedly smashed the button fast as they ran toward him. Of course, the doors closed as soon as they entered. Gary fought them off, punching the first one square in the head. The guard behind him tried to hit Gary with the bunt of his gun. Gary grabbed the weapon and jabbed it in the abdomen, then upper swung it under the soldier’s jaw.

The third guard managed to graze Gary on the arm with his blaster. With adrenaline kicking in, Gary immediately pinned his attacker against the wall and grabbed his gun. They both fought for control of the weapon, but Gary was winning the battle, slowly aiming the barrel at the guard’s face. Before Gary could pull the trigger, he looked at his enemy so that the last thing he would see was Gary’s face. Instead, Gary caught a glimpse of fear and desperation in the man’s eyes. No signs of ill-intent. Just a lost soul ignorantly following orders. Not all Infinity Guards are traitors, like himself, but who else can he trust?

The guard was beginning to gain the upper hand, shifting the gun to point at Gary. Focusing back on the struggle, Gary head-butted the man hard. The guard fell unconscious as Gary pressed his hand on his forehead, feeling that hard onset of pain and dizziness. He leaned against the glass wall of the elevator for support. He looked down at his hand to see splotches of blood.

“Chookity pa,” Mooncake said, growing more concerned for his friend.

“I’m all right, buddy,” Gary reassured, closing his eyes.

Mooncake noticed that one of the guards laying on the floor reached for his gun and aimed at Gary. Immediately, Mooncake swooped down and bit the man on the arm. “Ack!” The man raised his hand, trying to shake off Mooncake and impulsively shot through the ceiling in the process. One of the shots hit the cable line, snapping the wire and dropping the elevator down the shaft.

Gary felt his stomach jump as his feet were lifted off the ground. The elevator was only thirty flights away until would they splat. Gary shot at the glass window, shattering an escape hole. “Mooncake!” Gary scooped Mooncake in his arms and leaped out of the elevator.

The elevator box smashed upon impact into a bellow of glass and smoke while Gary had a softer landing thanks to his levitating friend. However, they weren’t quite out of the woods yet.

Upon their arrival in the HQ’s transport center, Gary and Mooncake were greeted by an entourage of Infinity Guard troops. They lined up, the front row aiming their weapons at Gary.

“Gary Goodspeed, by order of the law, you are under arrest,” said one of the guards. “If you do not surrender now, we will shoot.”

Still holding Mooncake in his arms, Gary hugged his friend closer. “Don’t worry, buddy,” he whispered. “I’m not letting you go. Not this time.” He then felt this weird, warm vibration against his chest as Mooncake wiggles out of Gary’s arms. “Mooncake?” Confused, Gary watched as Mooncake’s body charge while his eyes glow a bright green. The guards took aim, but before they could do anything, Mooncake shot a large energy beam out of his mouth, drawing an explosive line between them and the enemy. 

“Oh, my gosh…” Gary said, astonished. He couldn’t believe his eyes.The guards panicked and ran away in fear. Mooncake charged again and shot the ceiling above them, causing chunks of debris to tumble down.

“You really are a super planet-destroying weapon.” Mooncake turned to Gary, expecting him to be frightened too, but instead had his cheeks smooshed together as Gary cheered. “That’s so freakin’ tight!

While the sector was falling apart, Gary and Mooncake took advantage of the mayhem to look for a ship for their getaway.

“We’re almost home free, Mooncake!”

Gary scanned around the area. So far the only ships that he could find were ones needing legal access and others that were crushed under the rubble.

“Hey, Gary!”

Gary screamed when the annoying robot KVN came out of nowhere, now suddenly at his face. “What the heck, KVN?!” Out of all the familiar faces he could’ve ran into, his was the least.

“Where you heading off to? You look like you’re in a rush.”

“You don’t say? Well, if you haven’t even noticed, I’m a wanted criminal now! Get out of my way while I look for a ship!” Gary started running again with Mooncake falling behind. 

“Welp, if you need anything, the Galaxy 01 is always open. I’ll be hanging around with H.U.E.”

Gary stopped at his track, Mooncake slamming against his back. “Wait, the Galaxy 01? She’s still here?”

“Yeah, I’ve been saving your parking spot this whole time.”

Gary shook KVN back and forth. “Take me to the ship!”

KVN’s eyes swirled around, feeling a bit dizzy. He soon shook it off as he leads the way. “Everybody follow KVN!”

KVN sang as they approached the Galaxy 01 at the hangar. “Yes! KVN, you’ve actually made yourself useful!”

“Last one in is a rotten egg!” KVN teased as he flew inside through the hatch. Just as Gary began stepping on the boardwalk, he heard a gun cock behind him.

“Freeze!”

He raised both hands up and slowly turned around. It was Quinn, the last person he wanted to confront. She looked pissed.

“Quinn... listen. I am not the enemy.”

“You escaped from your cell, stole a classified life form, assaulted your commanding general, and destroyed Infinity Guard property.”

“Yeeaahhh… I can see that this all seems bad.

“I’d say that’s more than enough to sign your death warrant.”

Gary sighed, trying to weigh out his options. He could shoot her, but he had to make sure first. “Do you know about the Lord Commander?”

“Our sworn enemy and tyrant of the universe? What does he have to do with this? Are you a spy?”

Quinn didn’t seem like she was in on the coot. Otherwise, she would have no reason to hide it at this point. “What a relief. At least there’s one good person I can count on.”

“What are you saying?”

“Listen, Quinn. You can’t trust anyone here.”

Quinn’s eyebrows furrowed as she got closer. “I don’t trust you.” Gary looked down, disappointed. Of course she wouldn’t listen to him. She was too stubborn, hot, and loyal to the Infinity Guard. What did he expect?

“Heyyyy, Gary!” KVN popped out of nowhere, startling Gary in a jump. “So when do we-”

“Shwah!” Without hesitation, Gary kicked KVN at Quinn, knocking her down. Quinn faltered, dropping her gun.

Gary acted immediately, picking up the gun and aiming it at her. Quinn looked up and gasped. Gary saw those same eyes as the man in the elevator. To her, he’s the bad guy. But if he lets her go, she might follow. The choice was obvious. He’ll take the risk. Gary pulled back the gun and turned running toward the ship while Quinn sat there dumbfounded. Why didn’t he take the shot, she wondered.

“Gary, wait for me!” KVN hollered as he followed him inside before the hatch closed.

“H.U.E.! Get us out of here ASAPPP!” Garry commanded as he raced to the bridge.

“Gary, I am not authorized to take orders from you,” H.U.E. responded.

Gary stopped into the bridge from the elevator where Mooncake was already waiting for him. Gary hopped into the captain seat and took the control handles. “Fine, then I’ll do it myself.” He switched from autopilot to manual. “Hang on, Mooncake. We’re going for a ride.”

He pulled back the controls to lift the ship. He carefully guided the ship through the terminal, scratching a few cruisers and hawks. Just as he saw daylight at the end of the tunnel, it became narrower as the doors began to slowly close.

“Hang on!” Gary speed up, sweat trickling down his forehead. The opening became tighter, but Gary didn’t hold back. In the last second, The Galaxy 01 flew through the doors with its wings scratching sparks on the sides.

“Hell, yes! Hah!” Gary cheered.

“Yay! Road trip!” KVN cheered, hugging Gary’s head from behind. “Where to next, Gary?”

As soon as they have left the earth’s atmosphere, Gary pushed the controls forward, activating Lightfold. He watched as the light pattern of the stars stretch past them as they move full speed to who knows where. “Anywhere but here.”

S2 speculation, part 2

EVIL KVNs Ugh, KVN. I don’t know where all these evil KVNs came from and frankly I’m not sure I want to. It looks like the team squad (sans Gary) is fighting them off inside the new ship, or some other aesthetically similar metallic container.

Just going off the backgrounds, these two scenes might be a part of the same sequence:

But then again, maybe not. There’s probably room for more than one action sequence on the new ship.

FOSTER’S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS I don’t know if this is a dream or a hallucination or what, but it is super uncomfortable. Put on some real clothes, Gary!

As others have already pointed out, this might be happening at the same time as the evil KVNs stuff, since Gary was absent from those scenes. Alternately it could happen early on in the season, before Gary reunites with Little Cato et al.

LOOKING FOR THIS? I’ve got no theories about the magic glowing cube. But it looks like Gary and Ash are exploring some kind of spacewreck.

PEW PEW The trailers contain two different shots of the crew being attacked by... uhh... whatever those are.

Yeah, I have no idea what’s going on here. But here’s a closer look at those little ET dudes from the second image, cause I think they look neat:

THE TITANS The titans are escaping, and ejecting giant pink cornflakes into space as they do so. Bigger Cato looks like he’s connected to this somehow, though it’s unclear what exactly he’s doing.
