taking a big risk  ,  nix released a single and moved out to la and exploded with fame.  got picked up by a company  &  immediately fell into a certain image. portrayed as very innocent  &  kind since he was 18.  immediately clung to the idea of being clean  & pure.  however as he got older  &  more  &  more famous  ,  temptations became harder to avoid.  so he balanced a party lifestyle privately while upholding his good boy imagine privately.  continued to tell fans he would never touch drugs or alcohol but continued to go out  &  get fucked up  &  avoid the cameras.

management has had to buy off tons of images on his leaving a club or party drunk or high or both. struggles a lot with losing his sister  &  turns to things that he shouldn’t to enjoy himself. however  ,  got caught up in the lie he was telling  &  didn’t have a choice at some point.

ok so first things first,,, youngjae was born in south korea to a single mother. at first he knew nothing about his father and his support system was really just his mom, it had been the two of them together since he could remember it. they were super super close and it was no surprise that jae was just the biggest mama’s kid. things weren’t easy, he remembers his mom working a lot and not seeing her much, of learning how to take care of himself in an early age ,, but the concepts of hardship and money (or the lack of it) are quite hard to grasp as a seven year old.

growing up,, jae realized that his mother ended up taking his father back looking for a financial support. he learned how money was the one thing that opened the door for all of that crap. at age twelve, jae got his first job and there wasn’t one day that would go by without him trying to convince his mother to leave the house with him, he wanted things to be just like it was-- just the two of them. his father didn’t just yell at him anymore. jae couldn’t let him keep hurting his mother. theather was what held him together,,, it was the only thing at school that made him feel something. he liked to pretend to be somebody else,,, with a different life. acting made him forget about the fear that he felt all the time. it was how he dreamed of changing his own life.,,, and he maDE it after graduation, managing an audition to a famous korean company.

first paycheck was when he and his mother moved out,, and hoped to never see that man again. jae is known for being lead actor in famous doramas and back in south korea, he was beginning to be cherished as the nation’s sweetheart. a few years into his career, his father managed to find him again and that was when the threats began. that was when he began giving him money. at first it wasn’t a big amount. all jae wanted was for him to leave again and never show up. but he kept on coming back and that was when he decided to move to the us, with the reason of focusing on his international career. his company stil had no interest in letting the public know his sexuality, since his public was made largely of females, but he was glad that his mother at least was far away from that monster.

you’re born in 1997, in the north west of england. wilmslow, to be exact. a quaint and affluent town, just south of manchester. the family you’re born into is a comfortable one. not quite living lavishly, but not at all struggling, either. your parents both work in business out in the city. you go to a good school. but... all is not how you exactly want it to be.

see, your parents are quite pushy. they expect you to live how they want, rather than how you do. at the all boy’s academy they enroll you in as a teenager, they expect you to pick what they deem as intellectual subjects, such as foreign languages, further mathematics and computer science. there’s a focus on you becoming someone that makes a lot of money, rather than someone who is happy.

but you’re... not the kind of person that can be molded so easily. you’re a fairly happy-go-lucky kid, but also a rebellious one. your parents’ strict ways of trying to force you down their chosen path, only encourages you more heavily to choose your own. 

at fourteen, you meet the guys. lennox, jovi & jasper. they’re some of the only kids at school who can be bothered to be around you, with your high energy and bolshy attitude. really, they’re the only people who embrace you for who you are. they encourage your weirdness and outspokenness. it’s not long before you find yourself wanting to do everything together. it’s not long before the four of you are inseparable.

from there, you fully detach from everything your parents want you to be. you embrace your individuality. you also find the courage and bravery to come out to your parents as non-binary at the age of sixteen. there’s not a single person’s opinion that you’re afraid of, or even care about. 

it’s not all rainbows & sunshine, though. you struggle somewhat with anger issues, and a bit of depression. you’re also practically addicted to getting into trouble: picking fights with bullies at school, selling weed & pills to your friends around town, underaged drinking... you get the gist. though you keep your fears internal, you sometimes worry you’ll get nowhere in life.

so of course, the second the boys are talking about starting a band, you’re all in. imagine if you made it big someday? wouldn’t that be sick? you’re immediately drawn to bass guitar, and use a month’s worth of saved up pocket money to pick one up from the big music store in the city. thankfully, you pick it up quite quickly, because before you can even realize it, things are getting so... real. by sixteen, you don’t feel you have the option to stick around at school for sixth form, because drive like i do is already playing local venues and working on its first album.

you’re just seventeen when the album is released. somehow, the climb to fame is faster than you could have ever imagined. it seems like yesterday you were still watching bass tutorials on youtube in your bedroom and practicing in your friend’s garage after school. first is some notoriety across the uk, but before you know it — boom! global stardom. the fame is a heavy weight for someone so young to carry... but fuck it, it’s gonna be fun, and you know it.

you’re twenty-three now, and days are gone of pipedreams formed in your parent’s shoebox room. you split your time between manchester, london, and LA — and that’s just during rare moments of downtime from your world tours. your band is 4 albums in, and whoever hasn’t heard of you might as well have been living under a rock. is it narcissistic to think like that? maybe, but you don’t care. this is rock n’ roll, baby. this is the life.

you never really coped as well as you acted like you did, did you? while you were grateful for the fame, everything was... a lot, and it was all at once. you didn’t even get the chance to process it. 

take four twenty-somethings and add constant prying journalists, paparazzi, and constantly full schedules into the mix. and why not pepper in some typical rockstar vices, too? alcohol, drugs, parties, throwaway sex. things are destined to get a little rocky. though you tried at first not to show it to your fans, your destructive behavior soon got the better of you, and you became known to drunkenly lash out at paps, smash cameras and storm out of interviews when the questions got too personal. 

this all came to a head when you were caught on camera several times distributing acid tabs, cocaine and mdma at events, music festivals & awards shows. the press gave the band a pretty bad time over this, and given the other members’ controversies and lennon’s similar link to drugs, it wasn’t a good look for any of you. 

it didn’t matter that you had a side to you that was good, pure. that you were always kind and loving and down-to-earth towards your fans and friends. you were a bad seed, and you wound up on exposed with the rest of your bandmates. hopefully you can prove there’s more to you than what the media shows...

fast forward to sami in high school  ,  doing anything he could to convince his parents to let him get into acting.  they weren’t really buying it.  weren’t super into the idea.

- ezra was born into money and the entertainment industry, being the only child of two entertainment lawyers in the heart of new york city.

- despite his parents professions and the fact that he was raised mostly by a revolving door of nannies the first 12 years of his life, he had a relatively normal upbringing ( something that his parents wanted the most for him ). 

- at the age of 5 was when he was enrolled in his first dance class ( after months of begging to the nannies and his parents ) and he immediately fell in love with it. quickly becoming the most skilled dancer in his year.

- the rest of his childhood was spent mostly the same way - dance class every day, new nanny every year or so, his parents trying to convince him to try another sport on a weekly basis and him downright refusing. eventually they gave up trying to sway him and a wall began forming between them. one that even now, is still up and sturdy. 

- because of his inconstant upbringing, never really having an authority figure in his life for longer than a year or so and his parents essentially forgetting about his existence until they needed him for some sort of photo op his teenage years found ezra really testing his limits. seeing just how far he could go before someone stepped in and tried to ‘parent’ him. this is really where his disdain for authority and his general recklessness came from.

- it wasn’t until after ezra had graduated high school and came to the conclusion that college probably wasn’t for him that he realized he wanted to own his own dance studio and become a choreographer full time, not doing it as just a hobby anymore. 

- so with that ezra spent the next few years working his ass off, making a name for himself around the dance world before his big break finally came. an up and coming artist had seen one of his dances he uploaded on youtube and wanted to hire him to choreograph her new music video which was set to drop later that year. from that point on ezra had become the most sought after young choreographer in the industry with a hefty resume to back him up. his dream of owning his own dance studio becoming a reality only a year later.

- despite how much he had going on in his life and how busy he was practically everyday any downtime ezra found himself with was never spent like true ‘downtime’. never being the type to hang out in his apartment alone watching tv. no, ezra was always out. getting into some sort of mischief with his friends who only enabled his behavior. any indiscretions being nicely swept under the rug by his father.

- that fall at a charity gala for his dads company was where he met greg, his dads business partner of the last few years. in the beginning ezra didn’t really think much of their ‘friendship’ if you could even call it that, the occasional conversation here and there left much to be desired and the boy found himself quickly becoming bored. it wasn’t until after a late night face-time with the man himself that he realized that he could have some fun.

- the next few months found ezra and greg exchanging hundreds of texts, photos and even the occasional video, not one of them being something he could show his mother (if you know what i mean...). there was no romantic feelings (on his end at least) the boy honestly just loved all the attention he was getting. but just as quickly as it started it fizzled out, ezra quickly becoming bored once again and moving on. the whole situation being pushed to the back of his mind despite how often greg would still text him at 3am asking if he was up. 

- about a year went by before he was approached to be on a reality show, something that he wanted to turn down despite signing the contract only a couple weeks prior ( he was just too busy, had too much going on in his life to just drop it and be on a reality show for the next couple months). but when his secret was made public to the world he knew that he was stuck and honestly has no idea what he has gotten himself into.

- ezra can be kind of... a lot to people who don’t know him that well. he always needs to be constantly moving, busy doing something to keep his mind and body occupied because when the boredom hits that’s where the reckless side of his personality comes out. ( something he has been slowly realizing over the past year and been trying to get better about. ) while he does his best to try and curb it that doesn’t always work out in his favor.

- despite all of that ezra is genuinely a good person, maybe a sassy little shit when he wants to be but he is typically always in a good mood. the type of person who can light up a room just by walking into it. 

- because of his loud nature he tends to rub some people the wrong way sometimes (he likes to call those people wet blankets.)

christian  kwon  grew  up  in  laguna  beach  ,  california  to  a  pediatrician  and  an  optometrist  ,  so  his  life  was  pretty  comfortable  from  the  start  .  he  grew  up  near  the  beach  and  in  a  home  that  was  bigger  than  what  was  needed  for  the  three  of  them  ,  but  that  was  his  parents  making  life  comfortable  for  him  .  

growing  up  ,  christian  was  the  kid  who  had  everything  ,  but  never  treated  people  as  less  than  .  granted  ,  he  went  to  school  with  the  kids  who  had  larger  than  life  homes  of  dreamed  of  getting  a  mercedes  for  their  sixteenth  ,  but  he  had  friends  who  didn’t  have  that  kind  of  lifestyle  ,  and  never  treated  anyone  other  than  the  way  he  wanted  to  be  . 

his  parents  were  constantly  putting  christian  into  various  after  school  clubs  to  keep  him  busy  ,  and  this  was  where  he  discovered  his  love  for  music  .  he  started  out  with  learning  how  to  play  the  guitar  ,  but  then  he  eventually  found  himself  being  pulled  towards  the  drums  .  christian  wasn’t  a  prodigy  by  any  means  ,  but  he  took  the  instrument  quite  easily  .  

it  was  no  surprise  that  during  high  school  ,  christian  decided  to  start  a  band  .  it  took  a  lot  of  trial  and  error  ,  and  for  about  six  months  the  band  didn’t  even  have  a  name  .  during  those  six  months  ,  the  band  worked  together  to  find  their  sound  and  constantly  wrote  music  together  until  they  eventually  found  themselves  with  a  small  gig  where  they  debuted  as  after  laughter  .

the  band  continued  to  work  towards  their  dreams  ,  eventually  recording  their  first  album  (  all  we  know  is  falling  )  and  being  a  part  of  the  lineup  for  the  warped  tour  following  their  graduation  from  high  school  in  2011  .  following  the  tour  ,  the  band  began  working  on  their  second  album  in  2013  (  riot!  )  and  this  was  the  album  that  catapulted  them  into  mainstream  success  due  to  the  singles  crushcrushcrush  ,  misery  business  ,  and  that’s  what  you  get  .  the  album  went  platinum  ,  and  they  were  nominated  for  their  first  grammy  .

the  group  went  on  their  second  tour  ,  and  took  a  short  break  before  diving  into  their  third  album  .  they  were  soon  releasing  brand  new  eyes  in  2016  ,  and  they  were  off  on  their  first  world  tour  .  during  the  tour  ,  the  band  released  their  ep  singles  club  ,  and  finished  their  tour  a  few  months  later  .  deserving  a  bit  of  rest  ,  the  band  took  a  year’s  hiatus  before  returning  to  the  music  scene in  2018  with  their  album  paramore  .  the  album  spawned  four  singles  ,  and  one  of  them  ,  ain’t  it  fun  ,  went  on  to  win  the  band  their  first  grammy  .

during  his  time  in  the  band  ,  christian  found  himself  a  committed  relationship  .  the  couple  were  together  for  about  two  and  a  half  years  before  christian  finally  proposed  ,  and  they  were  both  excited  to  be  getting  married  .  their  engagement  had  been  a  blissful  one  ,  and  within  two  years  they  were  ready  to  get  married  .  the  day  came  ,  and  christian  found  himself  with  cold  feet  ,  thus  deciding  to  leave  his  fiancé  without  so  much  of  a  goodbye  before  heading  out  of  the  country  .

christian’s  name  had  been  slandered  due  to  his  decision  ,  and  his  management  team  wasn’t  sure  of  how  to  fix  the  error  of  his  ways  .  therefore  ,  when  the  opportunity  rose  ,  his  team  had  him  cast  on  the  show  in  a  way  to  help  clear  up  speculations  about  him  and  as  a  way  to  fix  the  tarnished  image  he  obtained  following  the  end  of  his  engagement  .

he’s  a  bit  of  an  asshole  .  not  a  bit  ,  he  is  .  christian  is  very  much  a  smooth  talker  and  knows  how  to  get  what  he  wants  due  to  his  charisma  .  definitely  the  ‘  mr  steal  your  girl  (  or  boy  !  )  ’  type  of  smooth  talker  because  that’s  what  he  does  best  .  he’s  wildly  charismatic  and  has  a  very  strong  habit  of  saying  things  he  doesn’t  mean  in  order  to  get  what  he  wants  .

can  be  quite  the  meme  sometimes  .  never  truly  knows  what’s  going  on  ,  but  somehow  manages  to  put  two  and  two  together  .  has  a  really  loud  laugh  when  he  truly  finds  something  funny  ,  and  probably  radiates  himbo  energy  like  there’s  nothing  to  it  .  not  really  a  point  of  his  personality  ,  but  he’s  always finding  a  way  to  make  something  musical  ?  whether  it  be  drumming  his  fingers  ,  constantly  humming  a  tune  he  can’t  get  out  his  head  ,  or  randomly  singing  a  song  when  he  hears  a  word  from  the  lyrics  .

christian  identifies  as  cis  male  and  as  non binary  .  this  is  mostly  due  to  the  fact  that  he  that  he  doesn’t  identify  to  any  gender  ,  but  he  acknowledges  that  he  has  been  socialized  as  a  man  .  he  is  fine  with  someone  using  he  /  him  /  his  and  they  /  them  /  theirs  pronouns  when  speaking  to  or  referring  to  him  .

his  stage  fashion  and  off - stage  fashion  styles  tend  to  differ  greatly  .  when  on  state  ,  christian  can  often  be  seen  sporting  the  typical  drummer  attire  :  half - opened  button  downs  ,  form  fitting  jeans  ,  vans  ,  and  looser  tees  .  in  short  ,  he  likes  for  his  shirts  to  be  loose  as  he  really  gets  into  playing  .  as  for  off - stage  ,  it  ends  to  be  a  little  more  refined  .  he  can  be  seen  wearing  a  touch  more  designer  and  he  likes  layers  even  when  it’s hotter  outside  .  still  an  avid  fan  of  half - opened  button  downs  ,  but  instead  of  jeans  ,  he’ll  replace  them  with  shorts  depending  on  the  weather  .

his  signature  within  the  band  is  often  dying  his  fair  various  colors  ,  with  the  most  common  being  pink  and  blonde  .  he  tends  to  get  a  perm  because  he  likes  his  hair  to  be  curly  /  fluffy  ,  but  a  slick  back  with  an  undercut  hairstyle  ?  chef’s  kiss  .
