Miracle of a Chance (Alcina Dimitrescu fanfic)
Characters: Alcina Dimtrescu, Bela Dimitrescu, Cassandra Dimitrescu, Daniela Dimitrescu, and Ezekiel Dimitrescu (oc)
Relationship(s): Alcina Dimitrescu and Ezekiel Dimitrescu, Alcina/reader,
Summary: Lady Dimitrescu has a passionate hatred for men, until a baby boy has been introduced in the family. Does she reject him completely to Mother Miranda, or does a maid have a few tricks up her sleeve to keep the child for herself?
The wind had rushed faster and colder, making the baby that was bundled up in stiff arms cry harder for someone to take him somewhere warmer than this, begging for his mother to calm him down, but the blood trickling down his face was not sufficed. His stressed cries continued until a wooden door opened and a hesitant maiden walked out as you were confused.
"A baby?...Ingrid, come here please, there's a baby." You whispered.
~
Two intruders had breached on the Castle of Dimitrescu and all maidens were ordered to stay in the kitchenette or else they would die (either by the intruders or herself, but it was both bad). That was an hour ago, and it was dead silent for a couple of minutes. Many of the maids were terrified to make a single sound, waiting for the lady herself to make an announcement to get back to work, but nothing occurred yet. No one made the comment if something had occurred to her, no one would ever make that assumption.
That was until a faint cried was heard and many stiffened. Did the lady capture the intruders, was she in the process of finishing them off?
One brave maiden stepped forward, getting closer to the door until another grabbed your hand to avoid a potential incident, "(Y/N) what are you doing?" a harsh whisper came from Breve, a maiden that was too terrified to get in contact with the lady, much less with the intruders, "You'll get us killed- can't you see that it's a scheme to get you out to attack us?"
You didn't say anything because you were trying to decipher the sound, "No, that's not a human adult, Breve...That doesn't sound like them at all..." You opened the door and pushed it.
You were right, as you stepped closer to the lump of bloodied bodies on the snow, almost covered by it until she gasped, "Breve, bring some towels and blankets, hurry!" You exclaimed and rushed to the crying baby, trying not to slip.
You were confused, horrified by the grotesque view of a baby being wrapped by a body, but not knowing who it was who held them. Your best guess was the mother, but now you took the bundle into your hands and placed your hand on their cheek, noticing the freezing temperature they were at. You rushed back inside, and you huddled the maidens together, to their surprise it was a baby.
"Why would the intruders have a baby?"
"Did Lady Dimitrescu secretly have a baby the intruders stole?"
"How careless of them to bring this child."
"Everyone be quiet and help me warm this child!" You nearly shouted at them as you and Breve changed the towels to notice the child's external area, "It's a boy..." You whispered, sadness and pity laced in there. They knew what was to come for any male who set foot in the castle, and they lamented the boy who hadn't had the chance to live his own life.
"The baby was doomed from the start when his parents brought him here.."
"What if...what if we dressed him up as a girl?" one of them suggested, "And convince Lady Dimitrescu that he is one of our children?"
One of them scoffed, "You want to deceive THE lady of the castle? That's a sure way to the cellar." She argued.
As the maidens talked among themselves, the maiden that held the baby walked closer to the stove that would surely make him warm up, "Whatever the case may be, child, right now you deserve some warmth." You lightly brushed the small amounts of dark hair to the side, caressing his brown skin, "If you are indeed....taken far too early, at least right now you are living to the fullest." You pulled him to you chest, one hand placed on the side of his face, hugging him.
In the next hour, the lady opened the door to the kitchen unannounced, and bent at her waist slightly to enter the room, "Maidens, the castle is now safe. Return to your duties." Her eyes emotionlessly scanned as the maidens returned, most walking out of the kitchen to their previous task. When she bent and stepped out to head over to her chambers, she was called out, "Lady Dimitrescu..."
She turned halfway, glancing down to see one of her dedicated maids holding...
"...a baby?" She asked, waiting for the information she was going to receive.
"In the duration of the intrusion, there was a baby crying and I found them cradled in their parent's cold embrace...it would be immoral of me to attempt raising a child without your acknowledgment, so I would like to give you the child myself."
Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as she glanced at the sleeping baby, their lips moving slightly, the baby was still alive to her surprise, "Were these the intruders I killed earlier?" She questioned, "After I have informed every maiden to stay in the kitchen?" Her eyes rose over to see the anxiety that appeared on the maiden's expression.
"I'm sorry my lady, but as...as a mother of a child myself...I couldn't ignore a baby needing their mother."
Lady Dimitrescu was quiet for a bit as that silently hit a chord with her, and her attention went back to the child, "What's it's sex?" She questioned.
The maiden gulped softly, hesitantly responding before Lady Dimitrescu spoke again with a heavier tone, "What is it's gender?"
"Male...my lady."
Her eyebrows furrowed as her expression switched into an angered one, "Male?! You dare bring a male inside MY castle?!" She raised her voice at the maiden, scolding at you, ready to attack if even more provoked.
"He is a child, my lady...abandoned by his parents-" you tried to explained.
"It still doesn't excuse that he is a male!"
"Give him a chance, please my lady, I would give my life to give him a chance." You pleaded, your voice trembling with fear.
"My dear..." She leaned slightly forward, her hand on her hip, "He was given three chances to live already, why should he get another when I prefer my maidens over this male child?" She lowly snarled at you, warning you for the next words that would come out of your mouth.
The maiden's eyes widen slightly in shock at how correct she was, "And it's because of these chances he keeps getting that...he deserves to live...in the castle, taught by the lady herself...avoiding...the terrible things savage men do."
The sound that erupted from the lady made the maiden flinch as she watched laugh in a mocking way, "Avoiding terrible things savage men do under my care? My dear, you've been here long enough to know that all men are the same. That man-thing you have in your arms will be a 'savage man'." She explained as she pointed at the child for a bit.
The maiden was silent for a bit, and you looked down at the baby, "I'm sorry I couldn't succeed." She whispered at him, "But I gave you everything you needed in these moments." She looked back at the lady, holding back her tears, "Should I place him on his parents outside, my lady?"
She reached her hand out, pursing her lips, opening her palm, "Just hand him to me, I'll hand him over to Mother Miranda as I have no use for him."
Being a believer in Mother Miranda and her set beliefs, you believed he would be in good hands. You placed the baby in her hand and she carried him not too close to her, "Now, get to work."
"Thank you, Lady Dimitrescu." The maiden bowed slightly and went to her tasks.
Lady Dimitrescu walked up the stairs and took her path to her chambers. She didn't once look at the child.

Miracle of a Chance Ch. 9 (Part 1 of 2)
Taglist: @ultimatebottom69 @bitxhinthecomments @natiebug1
This is the longest chapter of yet, so there will be two parts. One posted today, the other tomorrow!
Enjoy!
There's a little extra in there, I didn't write alcina x reader for nothing.
Tumblr media
Giggles erupted into the hallway in a teasing manner, and it came from none other of the three witches themselves: Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. It would stop for a couple minutes and resume once again. Inside a room, the library, was 7-year-old Ezekiel with his mother, Lady Dimitrescu.
Currently in his home studies, Ezekiel's cheeks were puffed as he pouts at his mother's direction, clearly showing his frustration.
"Once you finish with your assignment you can play with your sisters." She stated calmly, reading over his answers. She skimmed through the answers with her glasses on.
"But I did do my work." He raised his papers, "See?" The page was filled of his handwriting. For the past hour, he had been practicing his handwriting, his natural writing and his calligraphy; it needed work, and that is why he was practicing.
Alcina wanted all her children educated, but it was unnecessary for her girls to study what he was because of his human stance. She wanted him prepared for the world, for he would represent what men should be: courteous, respectful, self-worthy, yet still carrying the assertiveness and confidence without humiliating anybody.
She looked up to admit he did finished, "What about the rest?" She asked, opening her palm, only to receive the paper.
"Mom...you said if I had finished my assignment, and I did." Ezekiel confidently spoke, smiling small as he made a point. She was surprised that he listened so well, but she was also slightly upset that now she had to let him go, "Well, Mr. Dimitrescu, You are correct-"
Ezekiel beamed at her reaction, "So I can go?" He asked, almost bouncing in his chair, beginning to pack up.
"Wait a minute, your homework."
Ezekiel slumped in his chair, and Alcina raised an eyebrow which caused him to straighten up in his chair.
Then she placed her hand over the other, "You'll read 5 paragraphs of your favorite book and recite it to me in French, in addition, you'll also practice more of some cursive words to get better at it. That's it for today, you've done well." She praised which lit up his facial features with pride.
"Thank you, Mom!" He cleaned up his desk before running out to the hallway to meet with his sisters.
Alcina smirked softly as she continued grading his papers, distracting her for awhile before going to her bedroom today.
~
Each of the girls' plan was to scare Ezekiel as he searched for them, already deciding to play hide-and-seek. They were ruthless when hiding from Ezekiel, but he would always scream then laugh at their attempt, it was music to their ears when not dealing with actual men, or maidens.
As Cassandra listened to his footsteps, she noticed the pattern of walking and searching, and running with confident of their whereabouts.
When laughter erupted and bounced on the walls, the footsteps stopped only for there to be a scrape.
"Cassandra!" He shouted with confidence laced with his voice, giggling afterwards, "I know that's you."
"It only counts when you find me, little brother!~" She replied arrogantly.
Ezekiel placed his finger on his chin as he glanced around the main living room. He scanned the area before noticing a shadow cast on the ceiling, "There you are! On the ceiling!" He called out. The mass of flies buzzed off from the ceiling and reached to the floor, nearing him only transformed to her human form, giggling, "So you found me first?" She grins, ruffling his hair only for Ezekiel to giggle and fixing it. His hair was in a ponytail with a bow on the back.
"Now you must help me find Bela!" He pointed at nothing in particular as he took charge in the moment.
"Lead the way, brethren." She picked him up and settled him on over her shoulders. Together they searched and searched, and he even looked on the ceiling. That was until they entered a room. Like every room, it was elegantly designed with the golden details, white walls. There were two wardrobes on each side, and both Cassandra and Ezekiel checked twice because "checking twice removes...it's just better to check twice." he would come up with, and the anti-climatic quote would make Daniela burst out laughing only for him to laugh with her.
Once they check the wardrobes, Ezekiel hummed in dissapointment, "They're not here..." he commented, crossing his arms and resting his finger on his chin before he raised an eyebrow at a brick on the floor. He pulled his hand away from his face slightly before making his way to the brick only to notice a broken side of the wall, "Hey, Cassie....what is...this?" His voice faltered as he felt an ominous vibe from inside. It was horribly lit with the terrible rotting wood compared to the golden accents in the castle. The oil lamp was still lit, and he even stepped back.
"OOh~ Bela and Daniela could be down there, mother is going to be very mad." She inspected the broken wall, "Hm..." She turned around to look at Ezekiel with a grin, "Shall we go?"
"Uhm...I don't....I don't want to..." Ezekiel wrapped his own arms around his shoulders as he stared at the room with a uncertain look.
"Oh come on, baby brother, you're going to let them win? We spent an hour looking for them and they could be here." Cassandra pitched in, "Come on, it'll be quick. We'll hop in, and out in no time-"
"You promise?" He asked, his hands trembling softly against his arms as he made eye contact with her piercing yellow eyes.
"Yes, yes, I do promise. Now shall we? Do you want to be behind me?" She started walking inside, "There's a ladder." she revelled, "Bela and Daniela made so much effort for you to look for them."
Hesitantly, Ezekiel followed. He watched and observed everything around him as he became more sensitive, getting goosebumps at any point. He watched Cassandra just become her swarm as she went to the bottom of the ladders and he turned around to get down. He was cautious about his movements as he tried not to get his clothes dirtied from the dust.
When he reached to the bottom, he followed Cassandra as he passed a pile of loose papers by the table and just watched her become the swarm again and into the cracks of the wall. He was confused as to how she knew her way, but he was disappointed that the wall was not a signal of dead end, a signal for him to turn back.
In the process of Ezekiel and Cassandra making their way to the cellar, Alcina was enjoying her meal from her favorite maid, the nanny that was taking care of her son when not playing with his sisters, and someone she secretly considered someone closer than a personal maid.
Her red, semi-glossy lips were pressed against your flesh as she sucked on the blood, making you grunt as you bit your thumb.
"You make a wonderful noise, dear, I made no mistake in trusting you." She complimented as she pulled way, her lips removing from you sounded that of a separated kiss, a kiss you desired for so long.
"Thank you, my lady." You sighed softly as you lay on the bed, sheets covering your torso and below.
She smirked and caressed your cheek, confidence surging as you leaned closer to her, "Who would have thought that because of your persistence, you would be here?"
You turn your face slightly to face her, to see her smile lines, to see her this close to notice the brush strokes, the eye shadow, and the beautiful pair of eyes you laid upon, "I had no participation other than following you, my lady."
She pressed her smile, and even then she got closer ever so slowly, "Well, my dear, I made a good choice. And, draga, it's Alcina to you only." before pulling you in a soft kiss. That moment, you felt light-headed, you felt your heart rate go up by the second and hoping never to forget what happened before you felt her whip away. The rush of air hitting your body like whiplash as you heard it. A scream, and not just any scream you became accustomed. Your eyes widen in fear and concern as you sat up.
Alcina was already up and getting her robe on, helping you with the gown. She wasn't worried about you two anymore, but Ezekiel and it showed.
You felt her hands shiver as you looked up at her, "Go, I'll follow you."
And she didn't hesitate to go.
~~~~
Oh no a cliffhanger?! Oh but you knew already, welp, until tomorrow! Ta-ta!~
Miracle of a Chance: Chapter 2 (Alcina fanfiction)
Summary: Lady Dimitrescu is in a dilemma of giving away the child.
Tumblr media
As she sat at the vanity, she finally took a glance at the baby, now unwrapped in a crib next to her. She had waited a few minutes to call Mother Miranda, thinking on her own as she simply followed her blindly at the moment. Watching the peaceful baby sleep, she got closer to him and she watched him carefully, "You unworthy little thing, your parents ruined my beautiful vases and (Y/N) has the audacity to say you deserve to live?" She raised her hand, opening her palm as she neared at the child. When her finger passed over his raised arms, he reflexively gripped the enormous digit, feeling it nonetheless. Her expression angered, "You wretched-" she started before she noticed the baby yawning before his small mouth opening and closing slightly before remaining agape. Lady Dimitrescu watched intently before she reached her other hand as a way to test out a quick theory, her pinky touching the baby's free open palm only for him to do the same. Reflexively, he closed his hand, only this time holding the tip of her pinky.
Now she was stuck, and she didn't do anything to remove herself from the baby. She pouted at the situation as she didn't want to risk making the baby cry, but seeing the baby so closed reminded her of something she has wanted for a long time, even before the transformation. The hand held at the pinky, but her thumb was close to his face and she caressed his chin softly. Feeling the sensation, he reacted with a smile which undeniably had an affect on her.
"Oh no..." She sighed with defeat.
~
A maiden rushed to each room and asked others for the locations of a certain maiden. It took a couple minutes before finding the specific maiden.
"(Y/N), Lady Dimitrescu requests your presence and to bring food for the baby!" She shouted with urgency as she rested a bit.
The maiden nearly forgot the fact that the castle was not equipped for the baby and she had to improvised quickly.
When she had the milk boiled at a warm temperature, she poured it in a cup and held a spoon, rushing as she could without dropping any milk. With the speed she was going at, she was sure to receive another scolding.
She knocked with her free hand and opened it when Lady Dimitrescu responded.
Lady Dimitrescu carried the crying child in both of her arms despite her only needing one, adding extra support, "Did you get the food?"
"Yes, did you check if he pooped?"
"Yes, I did, he is hungry." She snapped before sitting down at the chair before spotting the cup and spoon, "...Remind me to get supplies for the baby." she spoke after a quiet session.
The maiden smiled shortly at her comment before getting close to the baby, "May I?" She raised the cup. Lady Dimitrescu leaned forward slightly and the maiden dipped a finger into the milk before letting the drop of milk touch his lip, and it reached to his tongue. When his crying toned down to sobs, attempting to suckle on the tip thinking it was a nipple, it took awhile to accommodate to drinking from the spoon. After eating, the maiden instructed for the lady to pat his back. She raised the baby, placing him on his stomach onto her open palm and sat him up, letting him rest on her wrist as she patted his back with three of her fingers and alternated with rubbing his back. After a few minutes, he let out a burp before both the maiden and Lady Dimitrescu let out a happy sound at relief (though the lady's was much more quiet). He let out a gurgle as he felt comfortable with the back rubbing, ending up falling asleep.
"My lady, I believe he loves it when you rub his back."
"Hm..." she responded mindlessly, her rubbing reducing to just having it placed on his back. She was smiling a bit.
The maiden glanced at the lady, admiring the calming look she had. She was not going to jeopardize that by commenting on it. "My lady, is there anything else you need before I return to my tasks?" She whispered.
"Yes, actually, I need you to tell my tailor to make baby clothes...I've decided to...keep the child."
"Those are excellent news my lady...what name will you give him?"
Lady Dimitrescu raised her gaze to a confusion one, "He doesn't have a name?"
"Well, we don't know what his name is, so you have the freedom of choosing." The maiden responded.
Lady Dimitrescu took a deep breath before looking at the baby. She caressed his dark-skinned cheek, a short smile appearing before disappearing. She smiled instinctively with him, "...Ezekiel. Ezekiel Dimitrescu."
The maiden nodded at her as she turned to Ezekiel, "Welcome to your new home, Lord Dimitrescu."
Lady Dimitrescu view the child cuddling against her hand, a few thoughts entering her mind. Her lips made a small, subtle smile. She was going to raise a fine man.
A/N: Thank you for reading once again, it means a lot that this is getting loved, and I cannot wait to show you the development between these two characters.
Chapter 8- Dancing Lectures
Ezekiel's home studies had increased from academic to societal performances, one of them being dancing. Alcina prided herself in her reputation, and she was not going to let it end in Ezekiel as he had the opportunity to be much more than in danger. While Alcina was playing the piano, she was so mastered on it that she did not have to look at the keys. Instead she glanced at her son who was stepping in the right dance with his arms appropriately positioned. You were assigned to be his partner, and you gladly accepted to help out. While Alcina was strict on her teachings, you were secretly praising his efforts as he had gotten better. Surprisingly, both sides helped Ezekiel maintain the motivation as he didn't have to try too hard to be exhausted, but it would take some time to make his mother proud of him.
As Alcina watched the pair, Ezekiel and (Y/N) 's hands held together as he tried so hard not to step on your feet from the height difference, she couldn't help but let out a smile. The scenery reminded her of the days you two danced in order to help him walk. Her mind traveled back to those days.
~
Alcina was trying to find a way to get Ezekiel to learn efficiently how to walk and no matter how much you and her would try with prompting him on his feet, he just wouldn't want to step forward, getting too excited to be held and refused to stand.
So Alcina had an idea, everyday he would join the lady in a dancing lecture with you being her dancing partner.
Though it was difficult due to the height difference, you both managed well. The music played from the gramophone and the beautiful instrumentals accompanied your smooth turns. Occasionally, you both would chuckle or laugh, losing trance in the dance when you hear a frustrated sound coming from behind you.
Alcina spotted him first, and you turned your head over your shoulder, straining your neck.
Ezekiel crawled to you both until he got to your dress, grabbing at it and using it as leverage so he could get up. The whole time he was grumbling.
"Awe, the young lord is jealous of our dancing, my lady." You smile small.
"Perhaps now he'll learn how to walk." Alcina smiled softly.
You both stopped moving as you watched Ezekiel stomp his foot twice as he now gripped tightly at both of your dresses, wanting to raise his arms to signal to be picked.
Alcina swayed her hips very slowly, prompting Ezekiel to balance and making him move his legs along, walking nonetheless to help him balance.
"You're doing very well, dear." She praised and you added, "You can do it, sweetheart." You were able to hold his hand as he was getting comfortable using his legs, trying once more to be picked up.
Alcina made the dancing lecture a scheduled event until Ezekiel was able to walk by himself, but she would enjoy it far more being able to dance with you.
A/N: I fucked up, but I managed to safe it.
Miracle of a Chance Chapter 3 (Alcina Dimitrescu fanfic)
Author's note: I'm constantly writing and having stimulants (e.g. characters, music, tiktoks, headcanons, etc.) to inspire me to write more than upload (and not having enough to upload later on lol). So, to avoid an easy burn-out from me, there will be no more daily uploads, but weekly uploads after this chapter. If you want to be updated on the story, feel free to leave a comment so I can add you on a taglist! Thank you for your interest!
Chapter 3
In the span of a few days, the baby was given a full wardrobe of multiple clothing, blankets to replace the once he wore. He even had toys, from toddler to "whatever boys like to be distracted with", Lady Dimitrescu would wave her hand smoothly as she didn't want to waste time on the simple decision, as long as he had things for him to be distracted with if needed. Of course, she wasn't equipped with the knowledge of what a boy would like, but she had her maid to help her out.
By the time Lady Dimitrescu had bathe him personally, she fell in love with him once again.
She had prepped the bathtub herself and undressed herself.
The baby was awake, and when she neared the crib to pick him up, he stretched his little hands, opening and closing.
Green-hazel eyes met the lady's yellow-amber ones. His reaction? He smiled, kicking his feet slightly. She smiled softly back at him before picking him up, "It's time for a bath, dear." She had him propped on her arm, the other hand unbuttoning his onesie.
Completely taking it off, she got in the bathtub and sat down with her knees propped up slightly to lay Ezekiel on her lap. She dipped her hand in the water slightly before grabbing his hand, his arm, letting the water touch his skin.
Ezekiel just stared before he cooed, his lips forming a small "o" as he moved his limbs, and he smiled once again. When he smiled, Lady Dimitrescu would smile, and he would try to cover his face with a giggle, trying to put his fist between his lips.
"No~." She cooed, moving his arm away with a finger, holding a small smile.
Washing him was the easiest thing, and why wouldn't? She would massage his head, and his head would go back to the sensation only to giggle. More giggles erupted when she would tickle underneath his chin and his head would lean forward.
When she would make bubbles from the lather of her shampoo, she would blow at them lightly as they fell slowly in front of Ezekiel. His interest peaked, eyes widened as he stood still, mesmerized. The bubbles would pop and more giggles would occur, getting louder. It was a contagious laughter, Lady Dimitrescu chuckling at his reaction as she combed his dark hair back.
By the time they were out, Ezekiel was wrapped with enough tightness that he was comfortable, but he would still coo. His reactions to things would cause a stifle from the lady. She put her silky robe on, carried the boy in her arms as she walked to the wardrobe to decide what to put him in.
It was a pastel green bloomer set that she put him in and she placed him on the bed. He played with his feet as he stared at his mother, and he attempted to roll over, his back turned to her. He moved his head side to side before he moved his body to the other side where he saw her once more and smiled.
Lady Dimitrescu smiled at the view, "You're such a cutie, you could get away with anything." She lightly pressed on his nose with a miraculous accuracy, and he dropped onto the sheets to hide his face before raising it once more for her. She chuckled at him and picked him up, "Come now, Ezekiel, we have a busy day." She said before putting him in the crib.
She would take him to her work study, and he would rest on her non-dominant arm. There was a crib nearby if he wanted to be away for a while, but he would never leave her side.
The times he would cry while Lady Dimitrescu would be nearby was because he was either hungry, needing to see and feel her, and even the necessities for his body, and she would attend to them with the same grace she always possessed. She didn't need to sleep like human parents did, so if he cried in the night, she didn't waste time in comforting her baby.
The only maid trustworthy enough to take care of him while she was gone, or if she needed extra hands would be (Y/N). When spending the time together, there was a level of comfort between the two. They didn't have to talk, look at each other, the simple act of being together in the same room was equivalent to affection display. Little did the maid realize that the lady was far more lenient on her when private. In public, it was subtle. If the maid argued with the lady, she wouldn't lose her temper like she had with other maids. You were different, special for her, and Ezekiel had given her a chance for them to be together within reason.
Chapter 9: Mama
During Ezekiel's study times, he asked you to help him on the homework he received from her only teacher. While you were reluctant, you accepted either way.
He was very receptive to being taught in a different way. It was new, it was challenging, and it was just right for him. The way you explained the material was easy for him to comprehend, and if it was French, he understood that too.
The more time you spent him, the more you realized how close you were, yes he called you his mother too, but it hurt placing a boundary between the two of you: Ezekiel was Lady Dimitrescu's son, all you did was give her the opportunity to be a mother or not, you had no choice.
Ezekiel was relieved to finish his homework so early, he turned to you and beamed, "Thank you for helping me, mama. Mother's homework is so difficult sometimes." He sighs as he leans back into the chair, closing his eyes.
You smiled lightly, "Yeah, she's been schooling you a lot more in different areas. How do you feel about it?"
You wrapped your arms around him and he got closer into the hug, sighing softly, "I love learning new things, but I want to go outside and play..."
You removed the ribbon from his ponytail and gently combed through his hair, or well, tried to. His hair was curling, and it was getting more difficult to detangle his hair. Being in the position you two were where you had the time to spend together, you had the time now to care for his hair properly. Moments like these were rare for the two of you. Because Ezekiel was more independent, Alcina needed you to help the newer maids, sharing the personal and housekeeper role. The hours you spent now between Ezekiel and Alcina decreased detrimentally as he grew up, so the moments you did end up together would be the most meaningful of the day.
You were so stressed out of pulling his hair that you focused instead on creating braids only to hear a soft sound. You glanced over at his face to see him fall asleep. When you held him close to you, you grunted as he had gained so much weight since the last time you held him in your arms, but you positioned him comfortably. The act alone flooded memories, and one of them was as vivid like it had occurred yesterday.
~
You were carrying Ezekiel to the kitchen, reintroducing the infamous baby to the maids.
You felt bitter-sweet coming back, carrying Ezekiel with your left arm as he sucked on his pacifier. His arm was resting on the back of your neck as he glanced the way to the kitchen.
It was sad to think that Ezekiel would not be here in a moment as your lady despised the men. To think she took a moment with him, and that moment alone was the determining factor of her decision. It sadden you greatly as you placed a hand on his cheek. How much you miss him.
You entered the kitchen, the maids were surprisingly welcome to the young lord, and he was getting excited with the attention he got that he forgot he dropped his pacifier, resting against the maids when being held.
When he got overwhelmed from the touch and hugs, he fuzzed over it and you immediately went to his side, sitting down on the chair and bouncing him lightly. You would smile as he was feeling better, but immediately shy away as the maid would awe at him, trying to hide in your arms.
You hugged him close to "hide" him, and you chuckled as he would peek at the maids.
It was a lovely day for the maids, a nice change to their schedule as the dread of Lady Dimitrescu and disappearance was swept away for just a moment.
Each maid got a chance to feed Ezekiel, even preparing a small feast with desserts that he could enjoy, it was to no surprise that later on he would develop cravings and his favorite foods included things that Alcina would have never known to eat in the castle.
As the maids would try to make him talk by baby-talking, he would just babble the words only to wave his arms in excitement.
By nighttime, when most were asleep and the lady was in the hallways, you were cradling Ezekiel in your arms in the rocking chair. He would suck on the pacifier as he would either stare at you with a tired look, or glance around. It was near condition when the door opened and he instantly opened his eyes in interest: his mom was here and he wanted a chance to be with her.
Alcina walked over to them as she smiled at him, "Hello, dear." She greeted as she rubbed his cheek.
He dropped his pacifier as he raised his arms to be picked up by her, babbling softly, "A....mmma, moma!" He excitedly shouted out and you both stiffened.
As excited as they were, you were both confused as to who he actually referred to that to.
Alcina picked up Ezekiel and carried him close, "It's maamaa...maa..." She would teach him, enunciation the syllable as he would mimic her while you watched them. It filled your heart with content. As you both were wondering who he meant the word for, naturally the name was aimed for Lady Dimitrescu, but you started to doubt it when he would repeat the word towards you without her presence.
At night, you couldn't help but cry silently as you held him close to your chest, asleep in your arms, biting the inside of your lips.
~
You had tucked in Ezekiel after removing his sweater vest and shoes before tying the braided hair in the ribbon. You smiled and leaned down to his cheek, kissing it before putting down the curtains to make his nap more peaceful.
Miracle of a Chance Chapter 4 (Alcina Fanfic)
You were watching over Ezekiel in your lady's room as she was out. It wasn't unusual that she was out, but it was when she would come in late. You didn't know of her plans yet, but Ezekiel was a perfect distraction from your overthinking process. He was sitting on the softest carpet as he held a block in his hands before putting it into his mouth and salivating on it as he gnawed on it. You chuckled as you gently took the block from his mouth. He fussed over it before he started to cry.
"Ezekiel, look.~" You try to calm him down by using the blocks to stack him up, but he continued to cry.
Lady Dimitrescu had finished taken notes about the three girls possessed by the cadou parasite, granted by Mother Miranda. She hummed softly in thought as she view the corpses on the tables. She would have to study them for more time, but in the meantime, she would check up on her son.
When her focus on the three girls diminished for the moment, she heard the distressing cries from her son. She placed the book down and hurried to check on him and (Y/N).
She opened the door, bent over to enter and looked around with an anxious and a desperation gaze until she spotted them on the carpet. He was in distress, but he was crying for something else, "What is the meaning of this?" She asked in a warning tone. You were trying so hard to calm him down, but he was not stopping. Startled, you jump slightly before looking at her, "Lady Dimitrescu, you're here." She stood up, picking up Ezekiel as she neared closer to Lady Dimitrescu, "I'm sorry, he had a block in his mouth, I tried to calm him down, but I wasn't enough."
She narrowed her eyes at you before she reached out to your outreached arms, carrying Ezekiel in her hands. She raised him to eye level, "Ooh, is my Ezekiel having a little tantrum?" She pulled him closer to her chest as she rubbed his back softly. With his continued crying, she hushed at him a bit before speaking at a softer tone, "Now, now, honey, you're crying when you're with me." She pulled him away a bit to still hear his cries. She sighs softly before leaning him to her for a kiss on his cheek, on the other, and finally on his forehead, "There is no need to cry." She used the back of her finger to wipe off his tears, only to tap underneath his chin. It worked. His cries turned to sobs before hiccups started. They were small, but frequent. He seemed scared and confused and was about to cry once more until she began to tickle him on his belly. It was unexpected and certainly a surprise for Ezekiel that a burst of laughter appeared.
The laughter was music in the lady's ears, and she continued for a bit before abruptly stopping. She stared at him for a bit before she tilted her head to the side. Ezekiel copied her moves before giggling a bit. He kicked at his feet, and bringing his hands to his mouth as he released an entertained sound. She smiled in content, carrying him close to her, "You're forgiven, (Y/N), I thought he got hurt." She slowly waved her finger in front of him as he held onto her digit with a squeal.
You watched Ezekiel laughing as you smiled softly at him, "Thank you, my lady." You bowed lightly, "I would have sent a maid for you if that were the case, but I took the block so he wouldn't have a cut on his palate." You explained.
She nodded, understanding your reasoning, "There's no need to explain for something that is best for him."
"How was your day?" You asked as you started cleaning up the toys Ezekiel was finished playing.
She sighed as she walked to her chair, sitting and resting Ezekiel on her arm, "Exhausting, the three girls have morphed into... blowflies." She furrowed her eyebrows as mindlessly played with Ezekiel, her hand waving each finger making him gurgle as he attempted to grab at each one.
"Blowflies? Does that mean they won't come back, my lady?"
"That's the situation I'm uncertain, I'm going to check on them tomorrow..."
"If they do come to live, my lady, how will they react to Ezekiel?"
"For now they will not see him. I cannot trust them at the moment, I need to see how they are and I'll decide then." She replied. She looks down at Ezekiel, smiling lightly at the gleaming baby, his bright green eyes filled with so much life. She pressed a finger against the side of his face and he held onto it as if hugging her. "You just know what to do, don't you?" She asked rhetorically and he attempted to respond with a series of mouth sounds, trying to gnaw at her gloved finger. She chuckles as she held him close.
Daniela entered Ezekiel's room, hoping to be able to join a quick game when she saw him holding his milk bottle with both of his hands, sitting in his crib. He turned over to see who it was that entered his room, and upon seeing Daniela he tilted his head with his hand to balance his bottle and use the other to open and close his hand in a hello gesture.
Daniela walked closer to him and she just watched him drink his milk, "What are you doing?"
Ezekiel responded with a string of gurgles and muffled mouth sounds which only made her giggle. She wanted an excuse to hear him "talk" in his own language as a baby. She didn't view him as you and Alcina would see him, a son and a baby, Daniela saw him as a weird little man, which only intrigued the immortal young adult.
"What does mother see in you, little one?" She waved a toy in front of him which only prompted him to try to get it in a lazy manner, too focused on eating.
Seeing how lazy he was to get the plush toy, she was now curious what would get his attention more than the bottle. She investigated with each toy, but to no avail. When she tried to take the bottle, he would suck faster as he wave his hand towards her to leave him alone. That startled Daniela, but it also made her giggle as she was not expecting that reaction from him.
Ezekiel laid down on the crib, getting tired and readying his nap, he took notice of Daniela still watching him with curiosity and he used his free hand to pat the space next to him, inviting Daniela to a nap as well.
It was unnecessary for Daniela to sleep, but the request had piqued her interest as to what he would do.
Little did she know, however, that when she transformed to her swarm to enter the crib and turn back human, Ezekiel had slowed down completely that he closed his eyes only to fall asleep. Daniela was now in a weird situation that if she moved, she feared her mother coming to the room and assume wrongly of attempting to scared him, but she simply wrapped her arms around the small body and simply rested until he woke.
It was unfortunate for her as you and Alcina were to check on Ezekiel together only to find the youngest of the three hugging the young lord as he slept.
"Daniela? What are you doing here?" Alcina asked with suspicion until Daniela revealed to them that Ezekiel was peacefully sleeping. Alcina got closer to the two of them and noticed Ezekiel was sleeping, and she became confused, "Daniela, I find it hard to believe that you would help Ezekiel sleep."
"Mother, he wanted to me to sleep-"
"Out. Now."
Daniela flinched at the harsh tone before swarming away with a "yes, mother" as you checked on Ezekiel. He was without harm, he drank his milk which only made you believe in Daniela's account.
A few days would pass and Alcina was in her study room filing some paperwork before glancing at Ezekiel that was waving his hand in the sky as he drank his milk again.
He was sitting against his mother's pillows as he opened and closed his hand at nothing. He removed the silicone from his lips before placing down his bottle next to him and laying down. Alcina was now watching for a while, resting her chin on top of her interlaced fingers.
Ezekiel found his mother and he smiled shyly before squealing lightly as to say "Stop looking at me" before he randomly lifted his head, his hair getting in the way and he put his head down again. He moved his hair partially enough to see her before Alcina would smile small and wave at him with her fingers, making him giggle shyly again.
~
Ezekiel has yawn a couple times while Alcina was working and she glanced up, "Take a nap, darling. I don't want you to be cranky on me." She told him as she organized the files. When she glanced up at him, she watched him get under the sheets before spotting him pat the space next to him.
Ezekiel pat the space again once again before closing his eyes and she was intrigued that he was inviting her to take a nap with him. Seeing as all she had to do was organize some files, it wasn't a priority.
She took her time to set up in her gown at an early day before laying down in the bed, getting comfortable next to Ezekiel. He felt the weight shifting and he let himself roll towards her and cuddled up against her before sleeping. It was only now that she believed Daniela about the nap, but who can resist such a tempting invitation of a shut eye?
Bonus:
You entered the lady's bedroom and to your surprise, the lady was asleep in her bed, but when you walked around, you saw her arm around the little body as he snored lightly near his mother's head. You smiled softly as you enjoyed the view before walking out, spotting Daniela. When you closed the door behind you, you greeted her, "Good afternoon, Lady Daniela."
Daniela crossed her arms as she pouted at you, "He invited her, didn't he?"
You tried to hide your smile as you nod, "He did, they're sleeping very soundly, especially the little lord."
Daniela scoffed, "But why didn't she believe me?"
"I wouldn't take it very personally, Lady Daniela, your mother is very protective, since Lord Ezekiel doesn't have the same capabilities as you." You explained to her.
She sighed heavily, "If that is the case, fine...thank you...for...checking on him."
And before you had the chance to welcome her, she vanished with her swarm to find her sisters.
You were just happy to hear that the youngest, yet the wildest had grown to be attached to the young lord.
Miracle of a Chance Ch. 5 (Alcina Fanfic)
I cannot believe I missed the time ;(, I slept in at 10am because I came back from Mexico, enjoy this chapter. I've got to Chapter 10, and about 5 filler chapters :))))) So this is what happens when I do not overwork myself huh :))))))))
Tumblr media
Once again you were babysitting Ezekiel, but this time he was out in the main area where the entrance was. His blanket was out, he was playing with his toys mindlessly while attempting to hold his bottle of milk. With such a slow day, even Ezekiel felt the slowness as he took his time to drink his milk.
Lady Dimitrescu felt like a long time had pass by as she was occupying herself with the mold, investigating the process and how the flies ate the corpses on the tables, but to her surprise the flies had been part of a molding process, being able to disappear the body and reappear in the next week. She wrote notes, even sketched out some transformation processes. Given she has to take care of Ezekiel and report back to Mother Miranda (the stress of withholding that information from her) about the mold's reaction to the corpses, it was the most she had to do, only it was Ezekiel's development and growing up that was the most difficult because of how slow it was. It felt nice though, a grounding effect that she felt as days pass by slowly and she would see him smile and laugh, with the occasional crying, but he was easy to handle when he was crying.
She remembered laying on the bed with him cradled in her arms, bottle in both his hands as he suckled peacefully, occasionally slowly as he was drifting to sleep. What made her chuckle was every attempt to remove the bottle he would immediately suckle fast to drink more, and he would repeatedly drift off until he finished the bottle. His half-lid eyes would sometimes watch her face as he suckled on the tip until he slowed down. Even funnier part was the noises he would make when drinking like he was arguing against his own mother who was trying to steal his bottle.
See mom, I'm still drinking. His sounds would practically say, and she would stifle a laugh as she tapped onto his chin to drink slowly, but he would continue with his argument.
"You are such a man, no one is going to take your bottle." She reassured, but she saw him become an aggressive feeder, causing her to release a high-pitch laugh for a millisecond from the unexpected act.
She would provoke him again the next time he would feed from the bottle.
Alcina smiled in thought as she mindlessly sketch out Ezekiel's innocent eyes, but her thoughts were quickly interrupted as the bodies on the table were completely formed. She got closer to the corpses until she noticed them twitch, watching them move their heads slightly until each of them opened her eyes. The blonde one was first, the brunette next, and the red-head was the last one. When they notice Alcina, she didn't know if it was because of Ezekiel, or if it was something else, but she felt a huge sense of maternal instinct. And unlike Ezekiel, it was an instantaneous experience, having selected their names for them: Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela.
The Dimitrescu Family had increased indefinitely. She would proudly say she was a happy mother.
But how the girls would react to her son, it would soon be known.
The sisters and Ezekiel were inseparable after the day they met. Ezekiel would be disoriented between the girls, and having to relax and go back to routine with his mothers was even more refreshing than prior to meeting the girls.
It was one of those days that Bela got to hang out with Ezekiel, excited to take up the role of feeding him while you helped out in the kitchen.
Bela would subconsciously mimic the same sounds as Ezekiel as the spoon of paste would reached to his lips and together "munched" the food. She wouldn't be so excited if it weren't for the fact that Ezekiel easily became messy with the food in front of him. One time during dinner in the private room, it was Alcina's turn to feed Ezekiel and rather than feed him, she trusted him to eat his food by himself. Ezekiel was excited in his chair that in the process, he accidentally smashed his plate. The spoon catapulted and landed on Alcina's chest, and silence became apparent with the sisters covering their mouths while Ezekiel watched it occur. He laughed at the entertainment that occurred as he was covered in his own food and Daniela busted out laughing along with Cassandra. Bela didn't know what to do, whether to laugh or clean his mom, or even clean his little brother. She stood up to help her clean up her mother when she took the napkin herself.
"Help your brother, he didn't stain me too much now." Alcina commented, "What a messy boy we have." She smirked softly as she glanced at the laughing boy with purée on his face.
"Yes, Mother." Bela took a new napkin and proceeded to wipe off the purée from Ezekiel, his hands trying to push off Bela's hands. She took his hands and wipe them clean, "You're so messy with your food, how can you eat like this?" She teased.
~
Now Ezekiel learned to trust being fed by Bela, surprisingly calm when he was with her. Was it her calming attitude that motivated him to copy her, or was it how he reacts to the others? She noticed that when he was with his nanny, he was so easy to handle it was like you were his natural mother whom he loved like the girls loved their mother.
"How weird... Mother would have slaughtered you if you were older no doubt, yet you had the fortunate luck to survive with us no less, outliving multiple maids."
Ezekiel cooed at her and began to refuse the food he was given. Bela was instructed a few hours ago about the burping, and she got him out of the chair and hugging him closer to allow her hands to rest on his back, "You're such a social baby." Bela commented as she patted his back.
Ezekiel giggled for a bit before releasing a long sound, and he would laugh when his sounds would be distorted by the back pats and then he would burp. He hated the burps, he hated how it started, how it was just existing. He would burp again, but this time he stopped completely and softly cry.
Bela was confused. Did she do something wrong, what did she do? Bela stopped the patting and held him close to her, "Little Brother don't cry, it's okay."
Ezekiel rested his head on her shoulder and cried, it was such a soft cry, but the sister was distressed. All she could do was awkwardly rub his back since patting would provoke his burping. Ezekiel burped softly again and his cries got louder. What human didn't like how he burped, what in the Mother Miranda was happening?
Bela got up from the chair and swayed her walking in attempt to calm down the human baby. She held him securely against her as she bounced him lightly as she walked slowly.
It seemed to do the trick as the walking distracted the young boy, and he sniffled a couple times.
"Shh shh little brother, you're okay. Not even your mean sisters will get you while I'm in charge." She whispered, scratching his scalp lightly while in the process of her nails combing through his soft hair. Ezekiel leaned against her hand, evident of his enjoyment and she smiled, "There there now." She reassured as she continued with the massage, now holding him outward with his feet placed on her abdomen. She rocked him slowly and going just a tad faster for a playtime, she went, "Wee!" and Ezekiel giggled a couple times.
Bela responded with a chuckle as she did it again, only this time she dipped him for a second before raising him without a struggle to her eye-level. Ezekiel began to show his happy colors as he bursted out laughing, being able to see Bela clearly under the candlelight, her blonde hair and face showing, her teeth and lips turned into a grin.
From afar, you and Alcina stood quietly behind the door. Alcina couldn't help but smile while you admired the scenery, "She's a natural with him, wouldn't you agree, darling?" Alcina asked. You nodded in agreement as you watched with a soft smile, "Yes, my lady. She clearly shows how much she wants to see Ezekiel happy."
You glanced over at Alcina who's gaze was covered by her hat, "It's no doubt that Ezekiel will be one fine man under the care of the Dimitrescu."
You can see her ego rise once again, her confidence becoming much more clear as she rolled her shoulders back, "And never let that doubt go."
Miracle of Chance Ch. 6 (Alcina Fanfic)
A/N: I'm sorry for the late upload, I completely forgot about it being Monday, for that I'll upload two chapters!
You were having an easy day with Ezekiel as he apparently found anything he saw funny. Laughing and laughing, it was contagious. If you dropped a block and it was quiet, the room would fill with a laughter. If you said a word, he would laugh with an attempt to repeating it. It went on for a couple hours before he took a nap, sleeping peacefully in Alcina's bed with his personal blanket and pillows surrounding his body for his safety.
To make it easier for you to take care of him, you were promoted to Ezekiel's nanny, and it gave you more reason to hang out with the lady. There was no doubt that there was something between the two of you, but nothing could be settled as she was busy with her daughters, teaching them about the castle, themselves, and about Ezekiel. She trusted them, but even if she did she would still have to be close when the four of them would get together.
And it took her by surprise just how close they become in such little time.
After Ezekiel had woken up, he cried for bit until you changed him into a new diaper and new clothes with pacifier. You were instructed to take him to the main area while Lady Dimitrescu was to take watch.
Ezekiel was sat down until he decided to lay down for a moment and sit back up to grab a shaker.
A series of buzzing noises appeared and Ezekiel looked around as the sounds got louder. He wanted to find the source of the sound that he turned around to see where you were, noticing you standing a few feet away. He tilted his head in confusion as you were not the one doing the noises, so he faced forward to grab his bottle only to face three tall ladies. He squeaked, startled by the sudden appearance of the three sisters and he stared at them in awe. One of them stepped forward, the red-head, and she bent at her hips to take a closer look for the human boy. She sniffed at him and smirked dangerously, "Man-blood.~" She noticed, and you instinctively stepped forward to protect Ezekiel at all costs, even if you knew you weren't going to survive, nor him.
"Daniela, you remembered what mother said..." Bela stepped forward, gazing down at the human below, "He is our brother, and as our brother we will protect him."
High on top of the staircase was Alcina, one hand on her hip as the other held her cigarette holder ever so elegantly in her palm. She smirked softly at Bela's protective stance. Perhaps Daniela wanted to intimidate Ezekiel because all he did was stare at them with his mouth agape, not recognizing the threat.
Lastly, the brunette stepped forward, but only to answer at the eldest, "It's alright, Bela, Dani was just playing around. We got it." She also gazed down at the boy only to give him a puzzled with an undertone embarrassed expression. Ezekiel laughed, and not just a simple laugh, he was having his giggling fit, and you gasped audibly as you thought he was trouble for "mocking" the ladies of the castle.
The three sisters watched with confusion as he settled for a moment before he said it.
He took a deep, satisfied, breath before he repeated it, "Gottik." and he giggled again. He grabbed his feet with his head lolling back. The momentum almost threw him over until he managed to catch himself, once again settling down. It was silent for a few seconds before Daniela bent her knees and lowered, staring at him with a smile, "Gottik." She repeated with sharper enunciation before Ezekiel erupted into another laughing fit, only when he tipped himself back he rolled onto his back. Daniela giggled with him, and the two older sisters chuckled along. You sighed in relief in their responses, and Alcina had a blooming pride, evident by the roses she had pinned on her dress above her chest. She knew she wasn't going to be let down, but she had to be cautious. Now there were more reasons to look forward to, and one she was willing to see the next sunrise.
She watched as Daniela picked up Ezekiel, not as tiny as he is when he was in her arms, but still small as Daniela raised him in the air only for Cassandra to catch him in mid-transformation, flexing her ability to her other sisters as she landed on her feet. The three sisters enjoyed taking turns in playing with him, but when he was exhausted, you went up to the three as Bela held his sleeping form.
"Lady Bela, may I have lord Ezekiel for his nap time?"
Surprisingly, Bela gave him to you without a word, nodding in the process, "I didn't know a child would be so entertaining." She noted, "I thought he would just cry."
Lady Dimitrescu was now walking down the stairs towards her daughters, "You should wait when he's a bit older when he can talk and walk, I'm sure he would be happy to play with his sisters." She smiled softly, bending just enough to move his bangs to the side to be able to see his sleeping face, "You certainly knocked him out to sleep, daughters. Well done." She praised, glancing at the three who were excited to be praised upon, "You may take your reward."
"Thank you, Mother." One right after the other said as they waved their cloak in front of you two, transforming into their insect form and disappearing to the darkness for their snack.
You were nervous as you knew what she meant, but you were just glad you were with Ezekiel. It was certainly him that gave you another opportunity to see another day.
The winds weren't as aggressive as the previous seasons, but it was still a chilly weather for the young lord.
You accompanied him to the factory of Lord Karl Heisenberg, nervous for the impression between them.
You watched as Ezekiel looked around with fascination as this was the first time to ever go outside, "How come we don't go out often?" He asked with excitement, wearing a black overcoat and gloves that fit him perfectly.
"Well, Ezekiel, that is because it's incredibly cold. When it gets warmer outside, we will all be able to go out."
"Everyone? Does that mean I get to play with my sisters outside too?" His eyes beamed with excitement.
There were different tones in his question, one part of it was excitement and the other was hesitancy.
"Well, that depends on you. You can help us plant seeds for the grapes." You suggested with a smile.
"We're planting GRAPES?!" He asked with shock, "...So I can help you?" He stopped walking to look at you, "How long does it take for grapes to grow?"
"It takes a few months, and we have to water them, tend to them, make sure there is no sunshine that disturbs them." You explained.
"That sounds like a lot.."
"It is..." You admitted, lolling your head to the side for the moment, "But the more people that helps us, the easier it gets. And who knows, your mother would be proud to make one of her wines with you."
Ezekiel smiled big at the thought of making her mother happy, "Okay, I want to help out!"
You grinned, "It's settled then, the young lord will help us with the most important part of the production."
"Yeah!" He agreed, raising his arms.
"Now then, let's visit your Uncle Heisenberg real quick and we'll come back."
"Okay, oh mama?" They continued walking to the factory in the village outskirts, "Who is he?"
"He's a man like you, but much older. Lord Heisenberg is brother of your mother."
"Brother?! Like I'm brother to Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela?" He asked for confirmation.
You nodded, "Exactly right, Ezekiel."
"Mama, when I grow up, am I going to be a Lord like my mother?"
"Mm, yes?...You would be known as Lord Dimitrescu, but your sisters will be known as they wish to be known." You explained in a way that helped him.
"Ooh, I can't wait to grow up and become Lord Dimitrescu." He dramatize the last name in a raspier tone, making it sound more ominous than it would be.
You chuckle, "Silly boy." You commented, getting a giggle from Ezekiel, "You don't have to grow up, honey. You're already a lord."
Ezekiel beamed, "I'm a lord?!"
You nod, "You being the son of the Lady automatically turns you into a lord."
"Wooow, and I'm going to meet Lord Heisenberg?"
"Yes, so when you meet him be sure to be on your best behavior, okay?"
"Okay!" He grinned.
~
Heisenberg stood looming over you and Ezekiel. He was quiet as he stared at the young lord. The silence made Ezekiel more nervous as the second pass by, "...I am Ezekiel Dimitrescu, it's an honor to meet you Lord Karl H-Heisenberg." Ezekiel introduced himself, and the stuttering was obvious as he averted his eye contact.
"...Hi, kid."
The informality threw both you and Ezekiel off guard.
"...H-hi." Ezekiel repeated, "You're my uncle." He confessed and that threw him off.
He removed his glasses with a shocked expression, "What did you say?"
"Uhm....You're my uncle?" He shrugged his shoulders lightly as he smiled nervously.
"No fucking way....sorry, only adults can say that," He awkwardly apologized for the foul language, "How did..."
"It is complicated, my lord." You stated, "But he is in fact her son."
Heisenberg couldn't help but stare at the kid for a while, looking at his clothes, his face, and his eyes most importantly. For a moment he was frozen in the spot, but he put out his hand for a handshake, "It's nice to meet you, Ezekiel. Say... you creative?"
~
Ezekiel sat on the table next to Heisenberg as he tinkered on a machine, "So tell me, how's your mom?" He asked to create some conversation and avoid the awkward silence.
"She's good, she's preparing her...." he looks over at you, which you were sitting on the chair behind them, "What's it called?"
"Vineyard." You helped out and he smiled while nodding, "Vineyard." He repeated.
"Oh well isn't that nice...can I ask you a question?" He stopped at his tinkering and even placed the tool to the side, "How old are you, Ezekiel?"
"7, 8 in 5 months!" He grinned proudly.
Heisenberg couldn't help but place his hand on Ezekiel's head, "7-years-old, a complete man eh?"
He had a bunch of questions for Alcina, the anger brewing more towards her. Seeing Ezekiel made Heisenberg think of his childhood, and how Mother Miranda simply took his livelihood to leave him plotting for her end. Seeing Ezekiel brought back the scared boy, but seeing his smile -so genuine too- at that age gave him hope, so minimal that hope lingered to know if he was safe with Alcina.
"Yep, I'm going to help mama with the vineyard." He was so confident and proud saying it that it brought a small smile on the man's face, "Well ain't that a sweet thing...you're going up to be a fine man, Ezekiel. If you're going to help her, would you be willing to help your dear, old, uncle?" He asked, wanting to know so badly that he needed to distract the boy. There may be a chance that the boy didn't know of Mother Miranda, but he wanted to know indefinitely.
He brighten up, "I get to help?!" He asked, bouncing lightly, "In what?"
"You see this machine here? My arm has gotten tired from turning and screwing, could you help me tighten them?"
Ezekiel looked at the machinery next to him, inspecting it, "Yes!....But....how do you do it?" He asked with a nervous smile, guilty that he didn't know how to do it.
Heisenberg taught him a couple tricks to learning the screwdriver, and he even changed his coat for an apron so he wouldn't stain himself from any possible stains.
"I don't want your mother bit-...." he bit his tongue, catching himself mid-word, "scolding....at me for staining your clothes, tight enough?" He asked, Ezekiel nodding in confirmation as he tied the leather strings around his body twice before making a knot, "Okay, so remember, tight and nice, got it?"
Ezekiel hummed as he understood, and grabbed the screwdriver.
Heisenberg stepped back, lips pursed as he turned around to face you.
His face was anything like he was with Ezekiel, and you would be lying if it didn't scare you.
You watched him lift his hand and point to the next room and he followed you inside, closing the door.
He was quiet as he crossed his arms, one hand holding his glasses and the other pinching his nose-bridge, "I'm going to assume that my super-size bitch of a sister trusted you with him, so with that she trusts some crucial information about him."
When he lowered his hand from his face and raised his eyes to look at you, you could sense the anger and rage that was revealing through his words, "What do you know about the kid?"
You took a deep breath and explained how Ezekiel managed to be the only male to reside in the castle. You explained how Alcina did planned to give Ezekiel to Mother Miranda, which only prompted Heisenberg to be visibly fuse until you told him about her deciding against it.
"Why?" He asked, teeth clenching.
"I'm not...exactly sure, but the way she was holding him, playing with him that night..." You say in an almost dreamily tone, "You could say she ended up having maternal instincts for him."
He scoffed, "She wouldn't know a single thing about parenting even if she put her back into it." He insulted her.
"I would have to say you are incorrect, my lord. Mother Miranda has ordered her to help her with an experiment one day, three girls that ended up being resuscitated by flies have been adopted by her as well. My lady hid Ezekiel with me in the cellar so she wouldn't be able to spot him when she personally visited the lady unannounced. It was true when she said that she did not want to give him up. She has shown repeatedly that she loves him just as much as her new daughters..."
"If that is...true, what you said to me, tell me then, maiden, why is this child in my factory: the most dangerous site for a child?"
You were quiet for a second before responding, "That's easy to answer...my lady wanted to help Ezekiel get acquainted with the other lords as he went through...something traumatic, and wishes to help him cope with what he encountered yesterday."
"And what could have happened to the little prince?" He pointed at him through the window with his thumb as he took a long drag from his cigar.
"...The sisters lured Ezekiel to the cellar in a game of hide-and-seek. My lady had ensured that all entrances were locked, but he managed to go through. When he was in the cellar, he...well, the sisters scared him using a cadaver that was in there already...an older woman from the village."
Heisenberg clenched his jaw, "So you let a human child interact with cadou-infected monsters and expect for everything to be filled with flowers and festivity?"
"No, no no no..." You sigh softly, "Lady Dimitrescu has yet to make a decision, but seeing how Ezekiel has a healthy development so far...when the time comes, she'll send him to the north, away from the village. When he reaches the age of maturity, she'll send us both to the city."
Heisenberg narrowed his eyes at you, searching for any deceit. It was tough to know for sure: Were you telling the truth, or is she just waiting for a time to kill them both? He would need to speak with her personally on the matter, he didn't need his stupid sister adding more fuel to the fire. He was already busy coming up with plans and lycans to form an army against Mother Miranda, he didn't ―
He still has a chance to save the child. He was not going to waste time debating whether Alcina will kill him or not, he has 11 more years to go before his fate was sealed, before he was doom to be alone again.
Though he had one more question, "You mentioned he was currently having a healthy development, I need to hear it from you now: what would have happened if that weren't the case?"
Confirm his fears, confirm his anxieties, and confirm the purgatory.
"I would...I suppose if that were the case...he would go through the same thing as his sisters..." You say hesitantly, hoping it was not real. Imagining Ezekiel anything other than healthy breaks your heart, for you and Alcina. You wouldn't be able to bear the pain.
He released a heavy sigh, "Leave the kid to me for a couple days ―we'll have a little fun- teach him a few things about mechanics, make his own device― fun with Uncle Karl...but I want you to send a message to your lady: I'm coming over to have a talk." His tone was impressive to changing from resisted anger to a lighter one when speaking about with Ezekiel, only to end it with an ominous tone.
It was silent for a couple minutes, and it was you uncomfortably shifting your weight from one foot to the other.
Heisenberg was still in the same position. He was leaning against the table with his butt, his back hunched over slightly as his right hand was gripping on his left bicep while the left hand was covering his face as he pinched his nose bridge. His breathing was loud in the beginning of the conversation, but now it was calming down. He looked like he was napping in the position until he took a deep breath and he stood up -a few bones cracking and popping as he groaned- and he shook his head to wake up.
"Sorry about that, we should check up on the kid." His voice even sounded heavier as he opened the door for you. When you walked out, you saw Ezekiel still tightening screws, but Heisenberg was the one that tensed up at the sight, struggling to even get his attention. He walked by his side to view his progress.
Ezekiel looked up at Heisenberg, "Is this how you do it?"
"Well let's see now..." He inspected the machine and hummed softly, "Kid, you got talent!"
Ezekiel grinned at the praise as he held the screwdriver.
"Say kid, I gotta lot of scrap in my place, do you want to help me make something so cool?"
"Yeah! What are we making?" He asked, hyped from the project he was going to participate.
"Well I don't know, what does that smart brain have, hm? Got any ideas you want to tell me?"
Ezekiel thought for a moment as he glanced at the ceiling, "Hmmm....what about a horse?"
Heisenberg laughed, "A horse?! You're bringing a big challenge to your very first project, but I have to show you how things first."
"Well, when can I start?" Ezekiel asked, bouncing in the stool from excitement.
"You need to ask your mom for permission."
Ezekiel turned over to you with his big green, puppy eyes, "Mama?..."
You smiled softly, "Let's ask mother first, it's a yes from me."
If you would have looked at Heisenberg, he would smile a bit. He hugged Ezekiel from the side as they rocked side to side to balance their weight, "Now we just need the super si-....your mother to say and we will be unstoppable!" He announced.
Ezekiel raised his arms, "Yeah!!" He beamed.
~
Ezekiel lifted his arms as he shouted. Heisenberg had offered you and Ezekiel a ride from his fixed vehicle. You wanted to politely refuse his offer when Ezekiel asked what a car was. Heisenberg stood silent at the question for a moment before he looked at you, "We're going on a ride." He simply said before taking you two to his garage, being careful without activating any of his creations.
The car was fixed up, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. He didn't take away excitement from Ezekiel as he allowed him to take the steering wheel in the open field before he took charge for the rest of the way. It was certainly difficult as he didn't go out much (and not knowing the way to his dumb sister, he had little reason to memorize until it). You two helped him with the directions before dropping you two off to his dead end.
"Remember kid, just go over to my place if your mom says yes, and we'll get started on your training." He reminded the young boy and he nodded, "Yes, thank you so much Uncle Karl!" Ezekiel grinned as he waved at him, watching him drive back to his factory.
It took an hour before reaching to the castle, and Ezekiel was just expressing his excitement with possible scenarios, how cool his uncle was to letting him tight the screws.
"What's the commotion? Ezekiel!" Alcina greeted as she stepped down the stairs, "I'm so happy to see you back, did you have fun?" She asked as she bent enough to pick him up and place a kiss on his cheek.
Ezekiel explained what he did with his uncle, and Alcina was just forcing a smile as he tried hard not to scoff at the thought of his uncle. Watching him ramble and motioning the twisting he did to tighten the screws brought relief into her.
"I'm so happy to hear that, sweetheart." She replied.
"So I can go?" He asked again, gasping.
"Pardon, what did you say?" She asked, confused.
"Learn from Uncle Karl. We're going to make a horse together, but I have to learn how." He explained.
Alcina furrowed his eyebrows a bit, "Hm, I will think about it, sweetheart, but do not be discourage." She raised a finger to boop his nose softly only to elicit a giggle from him, "Okay!" He smiled before being set down and the lady rising. As Ezekiel ran off to his bedroom, you stepped forward, "I do have one message from Lord Heisenberg, my lady." Your serious tone kept Lady Dimitrescu in alert. She guided you to the private room before letting you speak. In front of the maids you were still her maiden, but in private your relationship was apparent with no suspicions.
By the end of the message, discussion, and near arguments, Lady Dimitrescu was upset and mad, mad at her brother to suspect such foolish ideas.
"What makes him think I would put Ezekiel through th-" then she remembered.
She remembered what Heisenberg had to endure, how Mother Miranda would humiliate him the most of the four. While she despised all three lords and resented Mother Miranda for not constantly proving that she was the best out of the four, there was an ounce of toleration for them. She didn't need to admit or say she tolerated them, but to be seen as equals with them angered her to say the least. Secretly, Ezekiel is living prove that he sees her mother above all, but allowing him to be with Heisenberg threatened her belief that he would see her as almighty. It honestly scared her that she regretted privately announcing her human baby. Donna no longer wanted to see Ezekiel when he became a toddler, but Heisenberg was a dangerous one, an unhind one. She was not going to let him ruin the relationship she had with her son. Then remembers what he went through: the screaming, the crying, the trembles and the insomnia. She sighed softly as she was in a dilemma.
Alcina was startled when she felt your hand on hers, bringing her bright eyes towards your soft ones. You smiled softly as you struggled to place a hand on her cheek, "You're overthinking, my lady. If it's Lord Heisenberg you're having trouble with, fear not, for Ezekiel has a strong loyalty for you, and only you. Allow him to be with them, as forbidding it can disturb the relationship and loyalty. You're doing great in raising him." You ended with a single caress.
Lady Dimitrescu had a number of emotions running through her: embarrassment, confusion, disgust, annoyance, and contempt.
She sighed as she leaned closer to your hand, "...I agree...Thank you..." She glanced ahead of her before glancing at you. The position was a comfortable state and she closed her eyes for the moment to destress.
"You sing beautifully." You complimented.
Her eyes opened in a subtle confusion, "Pardon?"
"When you sang to Ezekiel that night, it is stunning, and effective towards your child." You grin lightly.
She would blush if she was capable, but she smirked subtly, "I could say the same thing about you."
"Oh please, I'll break a glass if I attempt, you should sing to us every night." You teased her as she responded with a chuckle, "Perform for you every night? Who would you to suggest such an idea?"
"The second mother of your son." You smirked which only stopped her. Just hearing you say that was very close to breaking her outer shell. She raised her massive hand towards you and caressed your cheek with a finger. It surprised you to feel her thumb hooked in your bottom lip as she pulled you close to her, "I suggest you be careful with your words, maiden." She teased you with a smirk before letting go.
You respond with a light chuckle, "My apologizes, my lady."
"Good, now let's check on Ezekiel."
While you were the one in charge to keep up with Ezekiel's hygiene and wardrobe decisions, today was not a day. You were needed at the cleaning site as the maids were polishing the castle for a very special guest, wondering who it was.
Alcina was currently in her robe while cradling Ezekiel in her arms. He was calm in the morning, just waking up as he yawned. While the maids were preparing the table, food, and preparation for the main rooms, Alcina was in a calming state as she prepped herself. She took a bath, gave one to Ezekiel, dressed him up in some trousers and a shirt that was puffing on the chest, distracting him from the hair brushing. It was growing out, and she wasn't going to cut it anytime sooner as she placed it in a bow so he was more comfortable. It was unusual, and near unnerving to have a visitor, but her little sister who was obsessed with dolls and the interaction between her and the dolls was part of her, Alcina had finally decided to introduce her son to her sister.
As she raised Ezekiel from his underarms, he groaned softly as he shivered slightly. The cold air was getting to him and she held him closer, "Ooh, my little boy is cold." She cooed at him as he leaned closer to her.
A good couple hours passed by before she walked to the dining room. The sisters each wanted a moment to carry Ezekiel in their arms, and it seemed like he had a preference for Daniela, nearly sleeping in her arms before being woken up by her chin-tapping. He was a little fuzzy with Bela, and with Cassandra he was uncomfortable. She didn't know why, but it would take a while before he can sit on her lap with comfort, resting the back of his head onto her chest as she sat down.
Lord Beneviento had arrived on time to the Castle of Dimitrescu, carrying Angie on her forearm as the maidens open the double doors.
Lady Dimitrescu greeted her at the door as well having a small talk before being guiding her to the dining room. That was when she heard them, a human baby and her three daughters laughing.
Lord Beneviento stood still for a moment as Daniela tickled Ezekiel who laughed in reaction.
When Daniela spotted Lord Beneviento, she stood up with him and approached to her.
Alcina watched for awhile as Lord Beneviento had asked a few questions.
Who is she?
Does Mother Miranda know?
You have a son?
The distance between Ezekiel and Lord Beneviento closed up, and she hesitantly placed Angie down on the floor as her hands shook nervously. She reached out her hands and Daniela handed her Ezekiel.
The black veil confused Ezekiel as he didn't know what he was looking at. His curiosity peaked as he reached out with his hand, clutching and unclutching his hand at the veil.
Donna was rather awkward with the baby, still holding him in the same way he was given to her, and it was hurting her hands and arms. The awkward stance of her gave Daniela a chuckle as Bela smiled small, prompting her to help Donna get used to the carrying Ezekiel in a comfortable position.
It took nearly half an hour to the same motion of removing Ezekiel's hands from the veil which caused him to become frustrated, wanting to see what is behind the veil. Was it his mom? No, his mom was behind his sister. So then who is this?
Her voice definitely startled him, "He's...rather persistent." She commented about him.
Alcina chuckled at the reaction, "A trait I hope with training can be easily removable."
"Why mother, I think it's quite hilarious. It surely made you laugh." Daniela pointed out.
"Besides, Ezekiel is just curious to know how beautiful our Aunt Donna is, isn't that right little brother?" Bela asked as she waved her finger in front of Ezekiel which prompted him to try to get it. Donna was quiet for a moment before she shook her head lightly, "That won't...be necessary." She denied hesitantly, a nervous undertone she had, "I wouldn't want to scare him."
"We will respect your wishes, my dear sister, but I doubt you will scare him. With what he will live in, he won't be scared at all."
Donna looked down at the human boy, curious, fascinated even, as she could use him to sketch new ideas for dolls.
"How will you...?"
"I will have to teach him that myself, Donna. Mother Miranda will not know of his existence until he is of age."
"And what about our brothers?"
"..." She almost pondered about it. As much as she hated the lords, she knew them well. How would they react to Ezekiel, would they attempt to turn him in to Mother Miranda to end her daughters and her, or would they react positively like Donna?
"I'm not certain, but my daughters will serve to prepare their reactions no matter how much time it takes."
Neither of the daughters knew them personally, but they do know from the information Alcina have given them.
"Sister, I do have one question." Donna bent at her knees slightly as Angie wanted to see Ezekiel as well and he was cooing at her, attempting to grab at her, which she made comments about his appearance being ugly.
"Did you first consider to give him to Mother Miranda?"
She took a drag from her cigarette holder as she replied, "Yes, at first, but I felt he had potential. For what, I'm not exactly sure. Think of it as a... change of heart or something... his good-for-nothing parents brought him here with them in an attempt to rob me." She scoffed. "That's enough explanation, let's have a sit and enjoy dinner."
And despite such a dark revelation, they did, as it didn't faze them at all. Donna was given the opportunity to feed Ezekiel mashed potatoes, and they all enjoyed the way he smacked his lips to eat it.
Certainly they had a lovely night with the unexpectedly human guest.
Another couple weeks would pass by as Donna would return to visit Ezekiel, joining you and Alcina to hang out with him. Alcina permitted Donna to measure him to the exact decimal to produce a doll of him. She would smile dreamily as he would giggle at Donna's poking and small cold metal tips of the measuring tape. It was obvious Ezekiel took a liking for Donna as he would coo at her and was calm when held by her, even falling asleep in her arms was easy. He would grunt when you took him from Donna's hot arms, and the interactions between Angie and him would compensate from the attempts that he tried to remove Donna's veil. When he began to learn how to walk, and Alcina would put on the music, Ezekiel would not only hold onto Alcina's dress and your legs, but he would have one hand on Donna's knee only to bounce what he could to the beat of the instrumentals. As he was cheered on by either the claps and comments to "keep doing it", Ezekiel would continue to dance and attempt to walk. Nonetheless, Donna took a liking to Ezekiel...as a baby/toddler. Once he passed 2 years, her great discomfort had forbidden her to continue seeing the young lord.
