Hi don't mind me just once again thinking about Rose and how seemingly no one other than Sparrow ad those closest to them know shes dead. Like Lucien mudered her, and clearly had it covered up because theres not even a mention of how someone was murdered in the castle that same night he disappeared?? Not even in fairfax where I woul argue that it definitely should because you're telling me all of Luciens staff were just chill with covering up a little girls death? That they didn't spread it like wildfire amoung the nobility?? Like he killed her and she doesn't even have a grave, theres literally no place for Sparrow to visit other than the bee hives that used to be their shack. Rose is just dead, erased, and theres never really any closure about it for Sparrow, they're just forced to live with the fact that they saw their only family shot in front of them.

Okay, a little ramble. Well, not so much ramble as me talking about my feelings. OMG, I’m really sad right now and… ugh, I hate the fact that Fable’s such a small fandom! Cus right now I just want comfort content for Rose, my older sister figure, but again, Fable fanfiction involving her is practically nonexistent, never mind fanfiction that’s reader insert comfort!

I just want my sister… sucks to get so attached to the one character who dies in the intro to the game.

-🍄If you are a huge fan of Over the Garden wall, the idea of unknown woods, strange creatures, cute mushroom farmer friends, peculiar libraries filled with goats, and the mixture of nostalgia, whimsy, and the feeling that something isn’t quite right, you need to pick up Snow and Rose by Emily Winfield Martin. Not only is her storytelling so magical, but all the beautiful illustrations are her own. I just finished this last night and I can’t believe such a magical little tale exists!! Sparrow sighed, and moved to the window, growing older with each step. It was an adult that looked out at the pathway. “It really does all point to the music box doesn’t it. I suppose I should continue with the set path. Will you try and stop me, Rose? Rose?” He turned around, and was surprised to see her gone.

I want you all to know I'm having big feelings about Rose today for seemingly no reason.

She just hurts to think about because its like,,, she has all this potential to be this amazing person as an adult. She writes, she takes care of her little sibling, shes funny, friendly and smart, and able to handle herself well while talking to creeps like Arfur, and she has all these big dreams, and then shes just....dead.

And I think the worst part is before she dies, befoe Lucian pulls his pistol and she spends the last moments of her life very outwardly terrified, shes so clearly excited, and happy to be there. Because it feels like for once everything is going right in her life, and things clearly don't normally go right in her life, and then shes dying. All her potential, all her dreams, all the things she has to offer the world snuffed out in a single moment, and it hurts way more than I think most people expect going into the game the first time.

The ground creaked, a horrible, grating noise rattling through the air as something pulled its way out of the water, something massive, nearly half a dozen times her size. It smelled like a corpse – a bug’s corpse that had been left to decay for days, or weeks, where spores had settled deep enough that fungi were starting to sprout from their shell, ant and beetle and a horrible mishmash of species she didn’t know. It wasn’t shaped like any kind of macrovolute she knew, and it definitely didn’t move like one, slowly and steadily pulling itself along with four limbs and dragging a massive abdomen that bent like it lacked a shell entirely. It spread wings soddened with water that clung to its body like a slow-flowing solid and looked down on her, nearly five times her size, something oozing from its abdomen as it spoke, a horrific tangle of moth and ant and beetle and something else, twisted and distorted as if mimicked by a fungal console. <query><id>
