Kay's comments: I love stories where Wen Qing time-travels, because she's one of the few characters I love to see time-travelling! And she makes good use of her second chance as well, making sure her two younger brothers live their best lifes. I really love Wen Qing's characterization in this story and loved how the canon divergence played out. Excerpt: She jerks awake to the feeling of a solid wooden chair under her, to the stuttering of a candle. For a second, she thinks that this must still be Koi Tower, that Jin Guangshan has lied yet again. But— —the desk under her folded arms is familiar lacquered wood, as familiar as the white and red robes she’s wearing and the scattered scrolls and books she’d been sleeping on. Her office, in Yiling. In Yiling. “Fuck,” she says, and in the same breath pushes herself up, not caring that the chair clatters to the floor, that her robes aren’t in order. If this is—if she isn’t hallucinating all of this with the last sane figments of her dying brain, this is after the burning of Lotus Pier, the fall of Yunmeng-Jiang by just days. And that means Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin, the core transfer—her brother. Wen Ning is alive! He has to be, even if this isn’t real. Wei Wuxian always joked about her having an iron bear trap for a mind and he isn’t really wrong; even if this is a dying hallucination, she’d have Wen Ning alive.

Headcanon that I've been playing around with in my head but Leon refuses to play any strategic game outside those he fully trusts because he loves being underestimated and also, it makes it easier to manipulate people for fun (there's a 50% chance it will go very wrong but he's getting Better the more he does it to strangers!).

If he either proposes or accepts a game of chess or checkers or go from anyone, it means that they have his trust.

There can be exceptions, like, say, playing a game for information but chances are he will play the 'beginners luck' excuse as far as he can.

living in peru/mex for the past two months has really made me realize how much white americans+europeans actually stick out. like yes i hope you’re embarrassed ashamed and uncomfortable existing here.

i had a good dream!

#well maybe it was meant to be a scary dream but it turned into fun #i was trapped in an irl like. game where you had to bypass various horrors in order to get to the next level #like one level you had to fight horrid beasts with whatever you could find and somehow it had an angelic vibe. like i think there where two #kind of angel-like people who you had to follow for protection but they were also kind of scary #and there was rotting wood and plants everywhere in that level and some kind of lore about a wedding party dying because their bones #were everywhere #and i picked up some kind of bone whip i found but the less friendly of the angels yelled at me because apparently it was his #sacred relic or something #and one was a hospital corridor full of blood and twisted bloody creatures and you couldn't look at them or aknowledge anything #you just had to keep your head down and walk no matter what (i ACED that every time. im so good at not responding and not meeting eyes)#and the other one i remember (i think there were 7 levels? maybe) was like the floor was kind of a mosiac that kept changing #and if you didnt step on the center of a 'tile' you would die (again; an easy and fun one)#*clarification the floor didn't shift or anything although that would have been cool. the pattern evolved into different materials and shape #s as you went on #anyway i dreamed it once and was scared but then i dreamed it again and wasnt so scared and beat everything fast and then dreamed it again #and brought my whole family and we had a fun time and i woke up because i cleared the mosaic level fast and sat down in between to look at #my phone #our post comrade.

I know there is so much wrong with me physically and I need to see so many doctors about it but I have literally no way to do that rn. And so of course my brain has started supplying some Very Questionable things to do in order to create an immediate health crisis for me so I can go to the ER and then use that as a way to start seeing actual doctors again. And it's like. Dude. What the actual fuck is wrong with you.

#the problem is that I don't manage my one money (against my will) so I have no idea-#-how to pay for things what my insurance is if we can afford it etc #and on top of that I don't have access to a family doctor/GP atm and can't find out if the school has any bcuz u need to go in for #an appointment without choosing the doctor and they won't take emails or calls first so I'd have to just blindly walk into a random office #which physically is extremely taxing on me atm and hope it goes well. which it won't bcuz there r no specialists and again. I can't pay.#and don't even get me started on whether or not they'd b trans and disability friendly. like that's a whole other can of worms.#idk man there's so much fucking bullshit in my way it feels like the only option is drastic immediate crisis #which is. unhealthy dangerous stupid etc. like I seriously should not under any circumstances do that.#and it's not even like going to the ER would help. last time I actually had to bcuz paramedics thought I was having a heart attack the #ER doctors just said take more anxiety meds and sent me home #but it's all my brain will consider.#eugh. alas, there are no forests near me! i could walk in the park, but i much prefer being by the sea… but i will see if i can find a nice park (a lot of the ones near me are what i would call “grotty”) to help me try and change my mind!!
