This golden tiara was first worn by Princess Farya Bethlen in the seventh episode of the second season of Magnificent Century: Kösem.

Turned upside down and with some additional gold chains attached, it was worn again by Mara Branković in the sixth episode of the first season of Rise of Empires: Ottoman.

Since we had a fandom villain pool recently, it had me thinking about how, from what I've seen, a substantial part of the vitriol Farya seems to stem from the fact people just don't find her "pretty enough". I saw many comments about how she's just not pretty enough to be with Murad, or how Murad can leave Ayse for her when Ayse is so much more beautiful. It's so childish and stupid honestly, like 1/ looks aren't all that matter in love 2/attractiveness is subjective anyway.

Unpopular opinion but..

Sultan Murad and farya sultan were the WORST couple/ship whatever you call it 😭

Farya was annoying af,always nagging about murad not loving her (HE LEGIT WAS THE WHOLE REASON+WHY AYSE DIED ALSOOOO HE SAVED HER LIKE 90% PERCENT THE TIMES SHE WAS GONNA DIE)

I cannot tell you how HAPPY I was when they got rid of her character omfg

Characters that should have been included in the TV Shows:

In all the series about Fatih Sultan Mehmed, mostly only Gülbahar was shown. Gülşah and Çiçek appeared only once, and his wife Mükrime Hatun wasn’t shown at all. While I understand that the series portrayed different periods of his reign and that Çiçek was a later concubine, after the conquest, so she wasn't present during the time shown in the newest Fatih Series, it still lacked representation of important figures.

earlier consorts of Suleyman, especially the mother of Şehzade Mahmud (his actual eldest son).

Gevherhan Sultan, the daughter of Nurbanu and Selim II, was also missing from Magnificent Century: Kösem while at that time she was very important figure

Handan Sultan's daughters should also have been inciuded.

instead of including Murad IV’s second Haseki, the series created a fictional character, Farya, as his love interest

This brown fur cape was first worn by Hürrem Sultan in the tenth episode of the second season of Magnificent Century. It appeared twice more in the same season, first on Hafsa Sultan in the twelth episode and then briefly on Gülfem Hatun in the twenty-second episode. The cape can be seen again on Nurbanu Sultan in the twenty-third episode of the fourth season.

Magnificent Century: Kösem used the cape on Princess Farya Bethlen in the second episode of the second season.

It's actually insane how much screentime the Farya plot occupies, screentime that could have been focused on important things like properly developping Turhan or Kosem's second regency. And all for what? For her to die in the most anticlimatic way possible and be essentially forgotten the next episode.

And its just hilarious how Murad doesn't spare a single thought about her as he's about to die. All he thinks about are his mother and Musa.

And while some people think it came out of the blue, I was actually impressed by how seamless the Musa flash-back scene was in the narrative, it was placed perfectly and made perfect sense, and revealed a part of Murad that worked perfectly with his character. And it's also perfect because I didn't feel it was trying to make me think "oh poor Murad he's just misunderstood or whatever" because actually pretty much everything that was "revealed" were actually things that we got to understood about him in other places of the story, it just gives another layer to it.

Honestly so much of the writing for the build up to Murad's death was just excellent, if only the quality was consistent

I'm currently skimming through season 2 of Kösem to check for outfit repeats and the most surprising one so far was when Farya wears a pink cape that was formerly used as a cloak for kids except they removed or lost the brooch that hid the weird closure and so it looks a bit unfinished on her.
