His successful career as a musician was coming to an end, David Bowie is now 76 years old and decides to move to Palermo to spend his last years. When he arrives, he feels like a stranger. He does not understand the codes of the city and its inhabitants. He sits down on a bench near the harbour and decides to create a tiktok account. David must first sign up. That's it, he's in. 

He comes upon a dance video. He is not getting it.

There's a brand new dance

But I don't know its name

That people from bad homes

Do again and again

It's not his usual style. He's not into it. 

It's big and it's bland

Full of tension and fear

They do it over there

But we don't do it here

But the music and the movements are spellbinding. He tries a few moves. 

Fashion, turn to the left

Fashion, turn to the right

Ooh fashion

The dance becomes more transparent and perceivable to him. He feels part of the group and even make new sounds.

We are the goon squad and we're coming to town

Beep-beep, beep-beep

He can not stop dancing and does not care if others do not want to dance with him. He keeps making weird noises.

Listen to me, don't listen to me

Talk to me, don't talk to me

Dance with me, don't dance with me

Beep-beep

He scrolls and comes accross a video of someone talking to their phone. A new language, which he never heard before.

There's a brand new talk

But it's not very clear, oohbop

That people from good homes

Are talking this year, ooh bop, fashion

He is not into it. He prefers it lower and with more taste.

It's loud and it's tasteless

I've not heard it before, oohbop

You shout it while you're dancing

On the dance floor, ooh bop, fashion

You probably noticed how David already integrated the new in vogue words and once again follows the trend.
