     even with wally trying to give him the courage to go up against cyborg, gar didn’t like his odds. this was a new game to the shapeshifter, one that his friend had MONTHS IF NOT YEARS to master.

     an older game yes, but beast boy never played it so it was new to him.

          “why would you put money on me? you’re just going to loose it!” not to mention the weight that was now put on his shoulders to win, great job there speedster.

     “Youresoyoung--” It had almost seemed like someone had said something. Have you ever gotten that feeling? Like you were being watched? The air around Central City had been somewhat stiff, a light drizzle turning into a progressively harder and harder downpour. Grey clouds lit up with flashes of white as lightning bolts tore into the sky in quick flashes.      A storm is coming.

     “--Wallyyyyyyyyyy--” There it was again, a figure standing in the doorway of his bedroom. Constantly flickering in and out of existence but it could be seen as yellow in color. With a pair of glimmering red hues staring unblinkingly at the young speedster like a set of headlights.      Then it was gone.

The building was supposed to be empty - supposedly abandoned, but it would be the perfect hiding spot for not only the villain of the week, but any thrill-seeking teenager that was just stupid enough to go exploring at this time of night. The half demon carried a flashlight, just enough to light the path ahead of them; but she too could sense that something wasn’t quite right.

Raven was just glad she hadn’t been watching a horror movie before they came here. 

If she really concentrated, she could hear the faint sound of footsteps somewhere above them; but whether or not it was the one they were looking for she couldn’t say.

Thad is standing nearby eyeing the other speedster with crossed arms, a mixed expression, and slow shaking his head back and forth. He hadn't been standing there long, but he had caught most if not all of Wally's description, "Genuinely, I don't know whether to be sorta flattered or sorta offended. I'll say I'm mixed for your sake, but let's get one thing clear. My goggles aren't tacky. At least I've actually got some practical eye wear. Someone's going to throw sand in your eyes one day, and where will you be? On the floor with grit in your eyes."

     breath, all gar had to do was breath and he would start to come back to reality. the movies he had been watching lately have been keeping him on edge, so when wally jumped at him like that--he reacted a little too frightened for his own good.

     now he was going to be made fun of for being so scared. he had to think on his feet.

          “scared? i---i wasn’t scared! i....i forgot that i left the oven on at the tower!” yeah! that was it, a perfect lie! “that’s why i screamed like that!”

That said, the pillow comes crashing down against his pretty, freckle-faced mug in a ruthless plow of cotton and cushion. She eventually discards what remained of the tattered pillow and opts to pin him down by the wrists, her face inches from his.

Sirens blared and smoke poured out of the burning tower block, a beacon just crying out for some fool to come rushing in to save the day. Which fool? This one wore red and yellow and had an attitude that she would enjoy beating out of him. 

Once the lure was set it was simply a matter of stretching herself out, sending a series of thin wire-strong finger tentacles, each one stretching out at ankle height across the neighbouring side-streets. Once they were in place and altered to be entirely transparent so the speedster wouldn’t see them, she settled down to wait. It didn’t take long, a superfast tug on a tendril alerting her and sending her stretching straight to the scene, a full elastic arm shooting forward to try and grab Kid Flash before he recovered.

“Did you trip Kid Flash? How unfortunate.” She crowed mockingly, her other arm curling into a net to try and cover him while he was down. “Did you t’ink I vould be frozen forever?”

positivity for fastestboyalive : I want to give a shoutout to @fastestboyalive. They are just a wonderful presence on the dash with how well they write Wally and I followed them ever since I laid my eyes on their portrayal. We might not be mutuals but the fact that they interact with me even if we don't speak OOC, just shows what a kind and generous soul this rper is and this is something I don't see often. I am really glad for every little interaction I get with this nice person and they deserve all positivity in the world!

     ❛ The thought that people could, potentially, fall in love with me is frightening. ❜  She was not meant for those emotions, no matter how good it felt.  ❛ I worry that I will not be able to compensate for their emotions. I am not allowed to do so, to feel things. ❜  Nor would she even know how to express it or let it surface, it was rooted deeply within her to keep her emotions in check. It was something that would always be there, no matter what happened. ❛ And even worse, what if I wind up feeling the same? It would be torturous. I cannot risk that. ❜
