My opinions on the Star vs. the Forces of Evil's Series Finale over 6 months later is this... was it the worst Series Finale ever? No. Could have been better? Definitely. This is no way, an attack on the Writing Staff, and all the Cast and Crew members who worked on the show over the duration of the show, it's that their efforts (in terms of writing) weren't exactly the best.

Not that I'm saying that Star and Marco the two main characters shouldn't be together, but it wasn't the main reason I watched the show, but mainly for it's characters and the characters have definitely evolved, for better or worse as the series progressed. I'm neutral when it comes to romantic relationships in animated series, though some people thought it was fan service at time, and a bit wishy-washy.

I've also heard from some that the show in general tried to hard to be something that it's not, like Gravity Falls or Steven Universe for example, which was one of the reasons the show was popular, which I find to be somewhat ridiculous, though some may agree to disagree. I think it was planned to different story arcs much early on, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that execution could have been better, though, I could say the same thing for the two shows I mentioned earlier.

Season 4 (and to a lesser extent Season 3) as a whole, wasn't exactly my favortie seasons due to questionable writing, forced shipping, and the finale involving Star getting rid of Magic, and Star and Marco's love that cause Earth and Mewni to merge as one, could be considered "controversial", but the creators wanted to give a show an open-ended freedom to let the fans decide what happens next in their own way, in fanfiction, fanart, etc.

Overall, I can understand if fans felt disappointed on how the series concluded as a whole, and as a fan myself, it hurts seeing that some thought that this show's popularity was comparable to Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Adventure Time to name a few.

A shows' finale is really important to fans who watch it, and that applies to any series in general, because it can dictate show you look back at the series as a whole as either something memorable, or not so much.

Would I like to see more content with Star Vs? Yeah, I would. Maybe not a in the form of an additional season on like, Disney+ for example, maybe a TV or Disney+ Original Movie, or comic books, etc. I believe that they are fans like myself who still want more, It's just not plausible at the moment, maybe in a few years from now, but that is just wishful thinking.

With the 2010s decade coming to , I'll always appreciate Star Vs. for attempting to tell a story the best way that it could, even it fell a little flat or executed to it's fullest potential at times. I would be lying if I said that the show was a masterpiece, It's still one of my favorite animated series of this decade, and I'm certain that there are fans that still love the show.
