HAPPY ONE YEAR AND THANKS FOR 800 FOLLOWERS

Thank yall, truly this has been probably the most fun I've had just being able to draw these silly cats.

I did want to just share my thoughts and feelings about doing this for a whole year, especially as one of my longest running projects so far.

I've had a really hard time in the past with continuing projects, or honestly even starting them at all. This was all done on a whim last December, and I did start with a completely different idea that never made it to being a comic. These are actually the two cats from the original clan I did

Maybe one day these two will make an appearance, but probably not.

I decided to go with Featherclan because I just didn't like how these two started out, and I just went for it. I have some regrets with Featherclan as a whole, I wish I had done a little more planning on the story part, as things are getting a little more slow before we get to the exciting stuff in the next couple of moons. The original designs of Sparrowtuft and Ravenstar were done in an effort to make it easy to draw them so I didn't get discouraged, but now I think they might stick out as newer members join the clan. Though I think I have done pretty well in changing them subtly enough to have them be more distinct while also being simple. I also originally made them too dark, especially Ravenstar's markings. I've actually gone through a few subtle iterations to try and make that less of a problem. I've also been a bit stuck for a while since Featherclan starts off so slowly- It did take like 20+ moons for another cat to join lol.

Some goals I have as the comic goes forward is that I really want to make the story more enticing and give myself more time to work on the updates. I want to make the characters personalities very distinct and have their actions really affect things. I want to world build more. I have a lot of goals and honestly, they might not all happen, but I'm hoping y'all will enjoy what's to come.

I really am so grateful for the support I've gotten from everyone here, it does help keep me motivated to continue.

I am also preemptively sorry for the drama that will happen in the next few moons, you have been warned.

The featherclan lesbians are both slaying and suffering....

I would love to say that I'm trying to have that specific update in June because of pride month but it's actually kind of because of artfight lol! The only problem right now is that I decided for the next moon to be something centered around Dusk and I'm trying to figure out how to make it more concise right now while still including important bits. I'm really excited to draw moon 29!

I also am doing another project that has a due date so! we'll see what happens.

I won't be able to post an update anytime soon because I'm literally swamped with final projects- which is mostly comic work! But unfortunately not comics relating to Featherclan or cats at all- but I did decide to check out the new update today and I took some screenshots of interesting stuff. Can't show too much because I have no self control and have played up to moon 100. Maybe one day I'll catch up to where I'm at in the game. Also I don't know how much I'm going to go off of the little adjectives for the other clans since I already had some ideas for them, but they're there I guess.

After this moon I might be changing stuff around just a little bit as far as how the actual art/panels/etc look. I actually started this moon way back at the beginning of the year and am just now working on it from various stages it had been at, so its a little hard to change as I go. For a while I was considering just trying to start another blog where I take what I learned from this one and improve upon it, but I think I would feel too bad because I can only focus on one blog at a time. Besides, I can just try and implement a few changes to this blog and work as I go. And I'm pretty excited about the next few moons.

Hey y'all! As a thank you for five hundred followers I wanted to do something. So I decided that next moon is going to be about a gathering, which means a lot of cats are going to be there. There are a few important canon cats that need to show up but I also need some background cats! Some of them might have very short speaking lines, still working out specifics.

However they will be honorary members of some of the canon clans I have, so I'd prefer if the submitted characters aren't part of a clangen comic. (It's fine if there are, just be aware they will technically be a part of one of the clans for this update)

With all that out of the way, I need about 6 ish (give or take) warrior cat ocs for the next update! Just reblog with a ref and any info you think I should I know about them. One cat per person pls! I might need more or less than 6 so if there are already 6 characters don't be shy to reblog yours as well.

I was thinking about hosting a clangen blog oriented MAP/pmv project to the song Finale/Children Will Listen (pt2) from Into the Woods. I think it would be really fun but I also have like no experience hosting MAPs or anything like that so if anyone has advice I'd love to hear it ^^"

Also this is lowkey an interest check to see if its actually worth it. It would not be required to animate, pmv style works too. It would also be clangen comic blog specific as kind of a way to celebrate having been running one for almost a year myself. What do yall think?

Help Me Design A Cat

Sooo im nearly done with finals and able to draw these silly cats again!!

There's a cat that becomes a little relevant in a bunch of moons thats a Dartclan warrior. I do have seperate files for the different clans but I thought it might be fun if I let y'all help me come up with a design from scratch for this one!! (While the moon with this cat wont happen for a while I will share their final design once the polling is done)

The different things I'll be asking for help on are the gender, pelt color, and main personality trait of the cat. If you have any specific characteristics you think might be fun, you can also leave them in the comments and I might choose some from there to use! I'll be posting each poll today and set it for a week and then I'll share the design when I'm done. This is also my thank you for 800 followers post, though I also plan on doing a little drawing with the current cats for that.
