We're back! Had to take some time to rest and plan out my art for the year, but finally this series is back in full swing. First design of the year is Jimmy as a canary! I mean, that was pretty obvious, yeah? Of course he would and could only be a canary. Also tried some different things in the art department and honestly? I think it turned out pretty great! Made me much more excited to keep working on these silly creatures. As always, my ramblings are below.

So yeah, pretty sure this one surprised no one. Obviously Jimmy was going to be a canary, I had that figured out day one. Genuinely one of the first things that inspired this whole series. The hard part was getting the design to feel like Jimmy. I kept going back and forth on the "hairstyle" (featherstyle?), the markings, the colours… But eventually I settled on this design and I think it does the job just fine! Maybe I would make the colours a bit brighter? Or change the brown markings a little? But I'm pretty happy with the way it looks right now, so I'm posting it as is. As for the art changes… I was getting bored of the way I was doing the pages beforehand. I think they still look good enough, but I wanted to experiment with the layout and see where it would end up. And I think it looks much better! The shading looks much prettier and, without the text to distract from the design itself, it all looks much cleaner. So I'm going forward with these changes from now on! With this in mind, look forward for the last of the Bamboozlers!
