Proud

We grew up surrounded in expectations, people shaping our beliefs, and moving us in the direction they deem correct, to make “them” proud. We take on some of their beliefs, molding them into ours with a combination of both, coming up with “who we are”. We want to make the people we love proud of us to receive respect and love, feeling supported and not alone.

There are real problems when our beliefs, who we choose to love, decisions we make, don't match those of others. We need to be proud of ourselves to be happy and sometimes this separates us from family and friends. When we feel alone, this is very problematic, creating chaos for our lives, but we cannot change who we are, or don’t want the things they see for us.

Be proud of who we are, 

We never want to be anyone different,

Separation builds character.

We can not hold up to someones expectations they have for our lives. We “feel” better about who we are, when we are true to ourselves. What makes us “proud” about who we are, and what we are doing, is moving in the that direction bringing peace and joy.
