Speaking in turn for my accoutn @shinigami-of-excellence since tumblr’s shadow-banned me I think.

Firstly, I want to thank all of you for your patients over the past five years or so. You helped me out when I was legally homeless and when Covid wrecked our shit. I'm still working on comms. I intend to still work on them. I will say I'm sorry for taking so long. In my desparation over the last few years, I took on more than I could feezibly accomplish. And having all this hanging over my head is... killing me. All joy I feel for my creativity is slowly being sapped form me and I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm going to attempt to finish what I can. For what I can't, I will try to offer refunds when I am able. But I need to get these done this year. I can't take it anymore. There's a reason I barely post anything anymore. And I'm so, so sorry. Everyone who has commed me over the past few years, please respond if I've not finished what you asked for. I will attempt to make things right where I can. I've gone through several changes of computer due to technical issues and I fear I've lost some notes. This is a horrid reflection on me. And I know that. And I accept what that will do to my reputation. I don't expect anyone to come to me for things anymore, honestly. Again, I'm still going to try and finish what I can. And what I can't, I'll try to slowly pay people back for, be it in part for partially completed pieces or in full for ones I haven't started. I'm so sorry.

im just sitting here rebuilding the power structure of rome for no reason. like the ancient rome pre-empire. the original republic.

so essentially you would have each region; africa, rome, greece, britania, hispania, gaul, germania ect... be ruled over by an individual roman consul. and each of these consuls have a consul-represent who is a son or heir who stays in rome to sit on the council of consuls. the consul of rome essentially is the head of these consuls and is in charge of keeping the consuls via their representatives under the power and influence of the people and senate of rome. these arnt governors theyre given the same title and rights as the consul of rome and even get to have their own senate seats from their regions to sit on the roman senate. by this practice the consul of rome cannot declare himself dictator, emperor or even consul for life because he would not have the power of the rest of the empire to back him up. and if any consul tried to declare themselves the consul of rome or independence ect. the rest of the empire is still poised to strike them down.

whether or not it would work is irrelevant since rome hasnt existed since the 15th century and even then that was what ever was left after it properly fell in the 5th century. but i think its still an interesting system to try and simulate somewhere just to see if it could feezibly work.
