Tumblr media
Been working on a basic height chart for all my TES characters, so here are my dysfunctional babies (and here’s to hoping tumblr doesn’t kill the image quality, but if it does, just click on it to see it better.)
From left to right, we have Ilyavanthra, Evelynn, Morganne, Delilah, Taka-Xil and Jacken.
More info on these guys under the cut!
Ilyavanthra Atyreni is my resident villain, a Thalmor superior who thinks she’s god and refuses to acknowledge the Divines out of spite— which won’t go down well with the rest of the Thalmor, but that’s fine, she’s got big plans for them along with the rest of the world. The pivotal point for her was when she went missing, lost her legs under mysterious circumstances, came back wrong, refused to elaborate. After that she began frantically planning some kind of ultimate design and built new legs as proof of her efficiency. She’s positively obsessed with the Dwemer, their ideologies and methods and studied them for a large part of her life. At some point she was married to Evelynn, but their relationship is… difficult. All in all, giant scary lesbian Altmer with religious trauma and one hell of a god complex about to make it everyone else’s problem.
Evelynn is my favourite child, she’s my Bosmer Vestige and has lived for a very long time after the events of ESO, in which she has spent the years going from outright saving the day to falling into the background and preferring to work on the preservation of Tamriel from behind the scenes, as she knows no other purpose. Super complicated bisexual disaster love life, let me tell you about it, sheesh. She’s been around to help put down Mannimarco whenever he pops up, but has been running from Molag Bal and the looming feeling of impending doom he carries— little does she know she’s in a rat trap. Because of her extended life, her mind has far outgrown her body and by the time the fourth era rolls around, she’s less than all there, susceptible to any forced that would wish to control her (she’s also the character I put through the Vicn Trilogy, because putting her back in Coldharbour sounded like the worlds sickest joke.) I love female characters who have been put through extreme tribulations and come out of it little bit off the rails RAHHH!!
Morganne is my Imperial Dragonborn who remembers absolutely nothing prior to the carriage ride except her name. She fulfils her destiny in not only slaying Alduin but also taking up the role of Konahrik, which only strengthens her power as Dovahkiin. But what does it mean about you if you managed to destroy the destroyer of worlds? Does that not make you just as, if not more, dangerous? Perhaps. She’s still young and pretty naive but by god, is she as stubborn as a dragon should be, and keeps doing impulsive dumb shit she gets in trouble with everyone for. She refuses to kill Paarthurnax, who she ends up considering her father figure, refuses to kill any more dragons considering it ‘kinslaying’, as well as arguing that she believes Odahviing and Durnehviir to be her most loyal brothers, and instead of killing him at the summit of Apocrypha, releases Miraak and keeps him on a leash. They hate each other’s guts (code for they are deeply in love and cannot resist one another but both won’t make the first move out of pride)
That tiny lass is Delilah, a Breton with big dreams of being a sorceress but unfortunately also sucks at magic. See that staff she’s holding? She doesn’t know how to use it aside from thwacking people. She does however have a mass aptitude for Restoration locked away, she just has to figure out how to harness it, because without control, her emotions dictate her powers in miraculous ways, even resulting in resurrecting the dead. See that big fella beside her? He’s proof of that. Also, don’t let her baby face fool you. She’ll bite your ankles and she has a thing for monster boys.
The big fella in question is named Taka-Xil, and oh boy, does he run on pure spite. He’s not had a very good start to life, despite being born under the Hist, he seemingly had no connection to it whatsoever and couldn’t properly read the social cues of his kin or fully understand them. For that reason, he was deemed soulless, and no matter how much sap he consumed he couldn’t connect to the Hist— the amount he drank only made his scales much tougher, his tongue golden and his height drastically taller than by Argonian standards. So he runs off to join the Dark Brotherhood and developed a great deal of reverence for Sithis. He becomes Listener and lets out all that steam on contracts, until he meets Delilah, who teaches him that being soft is just as important as being strong. She’s the only one he sees any light in and he adores her. Big gruff guy soft for sunshine girl plus dramatic height difference trope here.
Lastly, we have my most experimental OC, the wonderfully unhinged Jacken Archanymia, the very last Cyrodiilic bird person. He’s been alive all these years due to a curse bestowed upon him by Peryite, and has since dedicated his life to creating the cure to everything. Yes, everything. Beginning with his own terrible affliction. He’s a brilliant alchemist and doctor, and regardless of how spooky his attire is and how… rotten he is beneath it, he’s very charming and animated, and does his very best to act gentlemanly. Just don’t get too close or you might get sick. That mask is more for your protection than his.

Title: The Endless War 1/?
Pairing: Female Altmer Vestige & Estre
Rating: 16+ please, minor depictions of violence, implied/referenced assault. there is talk of death, murder and minor depictions of gore.
Summary: Estre meets the Vestige, again, on the Cliffs of Failure.
After the first dozen rounds, Estre gave up counting. There was no real purpose to it, other than the vague hope that Naemon might have, slightly, cared about her enough to find and save her. Maybe, if she had been more affectionate, or humble, or attentive, or less prickly on her bad days. She catches herself wondering what day it must be. Fredas, she hopes, because Naemon allows loved their afternoon walks on Fredas. Or Morndas, because she loved waking up with him and gossiping about the who’s and whys while they held hands; she hopes he remembers them like that too.
But she is glad he’s not here. It means she can pretend he’s alright and that he wasn’t implicated in anything she did.
“When I am victorious,” She repeats at Thallik, mind wondering back now that they’re in the most exciting part of the conversation, “and you grovel before me, I will remind you of this moment and how wrong you were.”
Thallik is a simple creature. He is, like all men, consumed by want and violence. That which Ayrenn thought to bring to the Isles has manifested in Thallik like it has in every fictional horror she’s ever read. He lunges when he thinks she isn’t expecting it; brutish hands seeking her neck like a clairvoyance spell poorly cast. She yelps, reservedly she assures herself, bringing her palms up. Still, she’s knocked back.
Her shock spell makes it worth the small indignation, even if the front of her dress has dirt stains on it now. Estre wipes her nose and hates herself for jumping at the sparks that tickle her nose.
Because its her, golden and stout and wearing a bright, burning blue. She hates being seen with such an unseemly stain on the front of her dress.
“Isn’t my court jester just dashing?”
Valinnaire’s gaze never wonders from the battlefield. Her hairs cropped enough to brush against her chin, and it drags out the harsh, hawkish features of her face. Despite the starved, withered look she’s gained, humour dances along her expression, plain as ever, “I’ve no interest in shadow puppets any longer.”
“Well, Auri-El strike me blind, I didn’t realise you were ancient,” Estre scoffs, “Aren't you going to ask me why I’ve graced you with my presence?”
“I thought you’d monologue long enough to get to that.”
“Honestly! I come here to thank you and you insult me. What have I ever done—”
“—Stop stalling, kinlady.”
She freezes mid gesture. She never thought she would miss those old toady Firsthold bureaucrats but at least they appreciated her performance. Her killer didn’t even try; no sly leaning in, or tilt of the head, nor even a hand clasped around another! Valinnaire stands stiff as a statue, shoulders even, hands loose and stance ready to jump into action.
“You know, monologuing is one of my best features,” She pouts, crossing her arms, “The Observer thought you’d be dead by now, not running around saving everyone.”
“What does that matter?” Valinnaire asks in breezy altmeris, hand resting casually on the hilt of her scabbard.
“Because this is a team game,” Estre enunciates each word clearly, “and he won’t let you run around like a headless imp for much longer. Outside of your spy games, organisation has proper structure.”
Valinnaire gives her an amused, scolding look and she can’t help the upwards quirk her lips give. “Let me guess, ‘we are not so different you and I?’”
She gestured vaguely, “If you want to put it that way. But I really must attend to poor, dear Relmus. Think about an alliance between us two tall powerful creatures.”
“So,” She throws in her most polite smile, flipping her little flame ball between her hands, “you return unscathed. The hero of the cliffs, one might say.”
Valinnaire raised a hand, “A moment before you start, thank you.”
Her armour looks as beaten as the sad fabric Estre still calls a dress is, three deep gouges slashing the links of her chainmail through her cuirass. Gore coats one of her legs like paint, reeking of half eaten meat and open innards, dragging down onto the floor like blood. Maybe it is blood rather than stomach acid, and maybe it isn’t reeking of open stomach but instead of iron and maybe they aren’t out in the open. Maybe it’s a cave and its her feet bleeding and the Seducers are getting closer, more eager, more—
“Why a sailor’s braid?” Valinnaire asks. She doesn’t even notice that her flame is now in Valinnaire’s hands.
“I— what?”
“Your hair is done in a Direnni style braid and fastened into a bun, which is a style that was first brought to the Isles by Balfieran sailors. Its not typical among the nobility, why do you wear it?”
“It’s not like I have much of a choice.” She snaps.
And hates the patient smile she’s given, “It’s crooked, is all.” Valinnaire tilts her head. Estre squints in return, one hand flying to her hair in a moment of pure, unadulterated vanity. its fine, a little too messy but perfectly aligned.
Valinnaire offers the flame, glowing green and blue and purple, the colours reflected in the clear shining amber of her eyes. “I would pledge myself to help you leave this place alongside the mages, Estre.”
What irony. The one mer she wanted, more than anything, to swap places with in this bleak place is now her one chance of escape. It seems good, too good, and too good is always impossible. Yet…
She takes the flame.

Explaining the Iceberg #6
Tumblr media
*Some things aren’t covered, namely things i’ve already discussed or content that I don’t feel is appropriate. And not everything is covered in depth
Tatterdemalion Moon Colonies: A since deleted forum post from MK, discussing the moon colonies of Reman that would later appear in c0da
Tamriel is the Far Shores: Orgnum is the immortal King of the Maormer, also said to be the Serpent God of the Sakatal’ indicating some connection to the Yokudan God of everything, Sakatal. Orgnum’s goal is to conquer Tamriel, this theory states that he may have mantled the Yokudan God and is confusing Tamriel for the Far Shores.
Water is Memory: One of the more difficult concepts to really pin down in these kind of theories, so bear with me. This topic has been brought up a few times in older lore discussions, and once again in ESO quite recently. First there should be clarification that I mean water both metaphorically and literally, just like the towers, there is no distinction between real and fake because this is a video game world. Second thing to note: There’s a lot of conflicting theories and ideas on this, i’m only providing the way I can conceptualize this all. If I provided every theory i’d surely hit some sort of character limit. Do you remember the metaphor about every soul in existence being a singular drop in an ocean? This is looking at the ocean itself, it’s the collective consciousness and memories of everyone out there, past, present and future. But this isn’t a synonym for souls and energy, this is a whole separate process. Sometimes souls are shown to be able to live without their memories (the soul carin), sometimes reflections of people's memories get stuck to places like ghosts (memory stones) When someone dies, their soul/energy and their memories may stick together and go to an Aedra or Daedra, or they might get split apart (like a Vestige) and end up in the Dreamsleeve to get recycled and in the Drowned Lamp which is a name for where all knowledge lost to history goes. This concept can be seen with the Daedra too, when discussing the ‘waters of oblivion’ when they get banished their essence heads back to this beginning place to spring back up. Water is memory also gets brought up quite often talking about Sotha Sil, who Vivec says is the selfishness of the sea, and whose ‘daughter’ is Mnemoli/Memory.
Crassius Curio, Time traveller: Another variant on the Crassius Curio plagiarism theory, accounting for why the lusty argonian maid is in ESO.
The Republic of Hahd: Mentioned in the Pocket Guide to the Empire, a group of people who claimed they lived off the coast of summerset, in an underwater civilization called Hahd. The only point in history that they became relevant was when they received tariffs for the transport of ‘mnemolite’ from the people of Hahd to the people of Nahd, and nearly sparked war between the Empire and the Altmer as they tried to figure out what was going on. Hahd and Nahd were both made up, thought to be by a group of psjjic students, as the island of Artaeum disappeared in that same year again.
Leaper Demons: Another name for Mehrunes Dagon, before he was cursed to become Dagon. Named this because of his ability to jump from Kalpa to Kalpa
Zero Stone: This is related to the towers, it’s the ‘heart’ of the tower, the piece that keeps it stable and functioning, essentially like a cornerstone. For the Red Tower and Walk-Brass this was a literal heart (the Heart of Lorkhan), but sometimes it’s other things like a fruit, or a person.
Tiber Septim Awoke Dagoth Ur: In the same short time as the Tiber Wars, where Tiber Septim was attempting to conquer all of Tamriel, Dagoth Ur awoken in Morrowind, which eventually forced ALMSIVI’s hand in signing the Armistice that would make Morrowind a part of the empire, hand over the Numidium, but allow Morrowind to largely keep it’s sovereignty. This theory suggests that Tiber Septim purposefully awoke Dagoth Ur as a long-term strategy, rather than trying to defeat ALMSIVI in wars. If not done purposefully, Dagoth ur may have been awakened by the presence of Tiber Septim (whose thu’um seemed to have came from Wulfharth, a survivor of the battle of Red Mountain and associate of Dagoth Ur)
Akatosh’s Shadow: MK mentioned Peryite as Akatosh’s shadow. Akatosh/Auriel largely introduced stability into the chaos of the Dawn Era as the God of time. Peryite has a similar function, that being natural order, where he micromanages Oblivion and Nirn. There’s more to this theory that i haven’t included due to sake of brevity  https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/4zct3i/the_shadow_of_aka_peryite/
The people of Et’Ada: Mentioned in the books The Light and Dark and Sithis, the people of et’ada are the descendants of the clash between Anu and Padomay, the original spirits that would give up their forms to become mortal
The Dwemer became their creations: A thought that instead of the commonly accepted Numidium Skin Theory, the Dwemer souls are the ones powering their automatons.
Lefthanded Maomer: An in-universe theory that the Lefthanded elves and the Maomer are related. Evidence for this may exist in Orgunm being ‘Sakatal’
Skyrim getting Colder: A theory that says Skyrim is entering the ice age because of the recent snowfalls and the presence of Sabertooth cats and mammoths.
Anti-Magik Zones: Probably taken from D&D, areas where magic doesn’t work for some reason or other.
The Greedy Man: Another name for Lorkhan due to him ‘stealing’ the divinity of his fellow Et’Ada
Vvardenfell Lesbian Anomaly: The prescence of a large amount of wlw npcs in ESO and the presence of Tel Mora, an island full of women and Mistress Dratha who says she hates men. While the ESO one i’d argue that there’s a fairly equal spread of same sex couples, and Tel Mora is certainly the original developers adding in something ‘strange’ by having an entirely female island, various Lgbt fans of the games have made their own theories on this. @boethiah has proposed that Tel Mora was established as a safe place for lesbians, and Telmoran is the in-universe equivalent to ‘lesbian’
Prism Textract: A reference to a book from the mod Legacy of the Dragonborn
Ruptga: The chief god of the Yokudan Pantheon, people debate on whether he’s equivalent to Akatosh or Magnus, if he’s even equivalent to any god. He was the first god to figure out the Walkabout, and taught the other gods how to survive Sakatal (God of everything) shedding its skin.
The Elder Council world control:  References a theory that the Elder Council is an incredibly powerful political entity that controls the entire world. (looking at how things were handled in Oblivion, doubtful.)
Tumblr media
Tiber Septim Shapeshifting dragon: Ingame theories that Tiber Septim was a shapeshifting dragon based on the empire’s affiliation with them. (source seems to originate from GT Noonan, pre-Oblivion and Skyrim) Could be an early idea for Dragonborns, or perhaps just a wild conspiracy theory.
Insane Time-God: Another MK text, et’Ada Eight Aedra, Eat the Dreamer. States Aka has gone insane due to how many names he has
The Staff of Unity and Chaos: The object you need to assemble in tes Arena. Is able to open gateways to other realms, near instantly kill people. In some of the early drafts of the main quest of ESO, a similar relic was proposed called the Staff of Towers, and would have been similar to the main quest of Arena.
Dracocrysalis: Mentioned in the Nu-Mantia, it’s largely unknown what this means apart from ‘it keeps elder magic bound so it can’t change into something lesser’ based off wording it probably means something akin to changing into a dragon.
Telescopic Aurbis: Refers to a quote from MK A single Wheel? More like a Telescope that stretches all the way back to the Eye of the Anui-El, with Padomaics innumerable along its infinite walls. Essentially this refers to the cycle of Kalpas, all wheels lined up with one another would make a telescope-like shape. The focal point of the telescope would be Mundus, ascending upwards you hit oblivion, then Aetherius surrounding that, and then lesser, more chaotic realms beyond that. This is also mentioned in the Murkmire book ‘Lost tales of the Famed Explorer.’
Gaenor is Sai: Gaenor is said to be one of the hardest bosses of Morrowind, in the Tribunal expansion you can give him gold and allow him to become an incredibly strong warrior. He has incredibly high luck (770 points) making him difficult to hit. This theory states that he is either Sai, the god of luck himself, or a champion of his.
Haskill is the Actual Mad God: This might be a couple different theories. 1st: The events of the Shivering Isles is a trick played on the player character by Haskill/Sheogorath, and the Sheo you see and interact with is just a projection. 2nd: From a loremaster interview from ESO, Haskill states he’s the ‘vestige’ of Sheogorath, the mortal remnants of the person who mantled the mad god in the last greymarch.
Moraelyn=Nerevar: Moraelyn of the King Edward books was likely an early draft for Nerevar. Both have association with roses, both are from House Mora and are considered a champion of the Dunmer. He probably participated in the War with the Nords, being described in the 36 Lessons.
Tsaesci Vampire Language eaters: From MK’s And we ate it to become it and another interview. https://www.imperial-library.info/content/fireside-chats Tsaesci feed on language, he doesn’t state if this is metaphorical, or literal (if that even matters in these games)
Scarab’s transformation: Refers to Scarab that Transforms into the New Man, or Amaranth. The Scarab is a metaphor for godhood. (Scarabs are symbols of divinity in Ancient Egypt) and the New Man is a person achieving Amaranth and creating a new dream/universe.
Trinimalarky: A fun name for Malarky.
King Dead Wolf-Deer: A Bosmer transformed by the Wild Hunt. Lived from the first era until the beginning of the third.
Multiple Underkings: Another statement by MK, general consensus seems to be this refers to the existence of the Underking as two people, Wulfharth a nordic general from the 1st era who held the title. Zurin Arctus, who may have taken up the title after the 2nd Era, when Tiber Septim turned him into an undead being. Or both of them sharing the same body known as the ‘Underking’
Thot-Box: https://www.c0da.es/thotbox/7b10359a40bba7d2e654bc10226f694a68009f15 the worlds worst choose your own adventure. From what I understand of KIMMUNE, a thot-box is some sort of AI
Baar Dau is Shit: Pretty well known at this point. One myth states that Malacath got into a disagreement with Vivec and pooped on Vivec City..
Nu-Hatta: In reference to the person, they’re an ancestor cult member. Otherwise this is used to refer to the Nu-Hatta Intercept written by MK. The text in question seems to be a list of the various ways mortals have achieved divinity.
Talos brought back dragons: Not sure about this one, there’s too many results to filter through to find what this is specifically about
Lyg’s Numidium: The thought here is that if Lyg is the parallel to Tamriel, then it should also have a Numidium that reinforces time and makes events a reality.
Dawn Era Ideological warfare: From UESP, Quote: The Dawn Era was a period during which time followed an incomprehensible nonlinear path and the very laws of nature remained unset, making a timeline an artificial fabrication. A conflict was simultaneously a mere ideological difference of opinion and a manifest war. What this means in simple terms, all possible outcomes in the Dawn era were simultaneous. This might also refer to the Ehlnofey wars where the wandering ehlnofey (ancestor of men) and the old ehlnofey (ancestor of mer) differed in opinion about the existence of Mundus and went to war.
Vivec destroyed Yokuda: A reference to the 17th lesson of Vivec, where Vivec states For a year they studied under their sword saints and then for another Vivec taught them the virtue of the little reward. Vivec chose a king for a wife and made another race of monsters which ended up destroying the west completely. In a literal sense (not that this means much in context of the lessons), this seems to indicate that Vivec created the sword saints, who ultimately ended up sinking Yokuda with the Pankratosword technique. Vivec also said malewife rights.
Ayrenn KIMMUNE: Another MK text. This one states Queen Ayrenn is actually a 9th era cyborg from the future. This was written after MK read an early draft for the Dominion quests and wanted to make it cooler. The writers of ESO have stated they don’t consider this canon.
Tiger Guars: A bit of old morrowind lore, Imperials would mistakenly call Guars, ‘tigers’
Hermaeus Mora is a failed Elder Scroll: Two theories here: 1st: The Black Books are Mora’s failed attempts to create Elder Scrolls (The first pages reference concepts such as the Dreamer and CHIM, Elder scrolls are fragments of creation) 2nd: Hermaeus Mora himself is a failed Elder Scroll. The Census of Daedric Princes describes him as ‘born of thrown-away ideas used during the creation of Mundus’
SITHISIT: the Ehlnofex word for Sithis
Khajiit Tattoo theft: Rajhin the thief god was said to steal a tattoo off Empress Kintyra’s neck as she slept.
Mythopoeia: irl, it’s essentially a term for ‘world-building’ In the context of the elder scrolls, it means the ability to affect reality using belief or the will to change (similar to CHIM) In morrowind Yagrum uses it to describe the enchantments Kagrenac placed upon the tools.
Dragons Biological Time-Machines: In the early drafts for dragons, MK described them as Biological Time-Machines. While this isn’t entirely reflective of what they are now, some truth holds. Being shards of Aka, dragons inherently have some ability to alter time itself.
Argonian Tits: I can’t keep doing this.
The Elven Lie: From what I gather, it seems to relate to the idea that the gods are infallible, when in fact they have weaknesses and flaws.

BEHOLD AS I WRITE FANFIC
Okay this got a little long and I am on mobile so I can't add a read more I am very sorry. Razum-dar x female Kajiit vestige.
Everyone else says that falling in love is slow. That it's hard to see. That a lot of the time you don't realise that you're in love until the chance is gone.
Not this time.
They didn't exactly "meet cute." She fell out of the sky into the ocean in the middle of a hurricane. He found her washed up on the shore, the only one not wearing a uniform.
He was the first face she saw when she emerged from the small tower into the world of the waking and living.
"This one is Razum-dar. He fished you out of the water last night." He said, leaning casually on the crumbled stone wall. "So who are you? And where did you come from?"
She eyed him. And trusted him. "This one is Ra'jaheeri. She was in Coldharbor. Ra'jaheeri escaped."
Razum-dar tilted his head. "And what will you tell the others?"
Ra'jaheeri paused. Looked around. She didn't see any other Kajiit. Only the furless skins of Altmer and Bosmer. Her green eyes met his green eyes. "That this one was a soldier on the ships. A marine. She got knocked off in one of the waves and separated from her command."
Razum-dar nodded approvingly. "Good. You catch on quick."
And that was the beginning.
They worked together on that island against the Maormer. He was smart. And he trusted her. Ra'jaheeri wasn't expecting that.
And then there was the fiasco at Vulkel Guard. Razum-dar had to break her out of prison. And he teased her about it. But she didn't seem to mind. She should have. But it seemed less like making fun of her and more like flirting.
Ra'jaheeri met Queen Ayrenn. A good woman, a good queen. One who believes in her vision, who wants to do good. Who is determined to lead her people well, all of her people, the High Elves, the Wood Elves, and the Kajiit.
The two women quickly became friends. Ayrenn was already very close friends with Raz.
Ra'jaheeri didn't want to say, even silently to herself, that she was falling for her handsome counterpart. The other Eye of The Queen. Confident, suave, intelligent, quick, and charismatic. But she had to admit it. But only to herself, she swore.
Guess how long that lasted?
It was after yet another disaster than Ra'jaheeri had to fix that Ayrenn figured it out. They both stood there, amongst the embers of walls and wooden pillars. Ayrenn was congratulating her, and telling her Eye where next she was needed. Ra'jaheeri never minded Ayrenn sending her off like this, she liked staying busy and helpful. But she made a mistake.
"Raz will be meeting you there-" Ayrenn stopped. Ra'jaheeri's ears had flicked upwards, the points standing at attention. A sly grin not unlike Raz's crept over the Altmer's face. "What is it about Raz that excites you so, my friend?"
Ra'jaheeri's ears flicked back down. "What do you mean, my queen? This one has only the same interest as meeting any other Eye."
Ayrenn's golden eyebrows jumped up. "Well in that case then there should be no issue with another Eye being your contact."
This time is was her tail that have her away. The queen led her to the side with a hand on her armored arm, waving her guards away.
"You like Raz."
"This one likes lots of people-"
Ayrenn held up a finger. "Not like this, I don't think."
Ra'jaheeri sighed, and let her head and shoulders droop. "This one..... Ra'jaheeri thinks she loves him. She shouldn't. He probably flirts with everyone like that. There's no reason she should be the special one and actually win his heart. Ra'jaheeri is sure many Eyes have fallen in love with Raz. Or marines. Or advisors. Or dignitaries. And probably every woman that has ever seen him. And lots of men too."
The kajiit woman was startled out of her moping by Ayrenn grabbing her by the shoulders. "It is up to Raz. You're right, many many people have fallen in love with him. But if you never ask, you will never know. Do not make the decisions for the both of you out of fear."
Ra'jaheeri's brows furrowed in thought, and she nodded. "This one will think on it."
The catalyst came when Ra'jaheeri was chosen as the Moon Hallowed, to chose the next Mane to be leader of the Khajiit.
She accompanied the twins that she had to choose between as they went through the trials facing their past, their insecurities, and their strengths. Ra'jaheeri grew prouder of the girls every second she knew them. She would have had it that they led the people together, as the two moons floated in the sky. But it was not to be. One of the Lunar Champions had to be left behind to fight the shadow, the Dark Mane. Ra'jaheeri chose Khali, the brash twin, the angry one whose trust was in her strength and her swords to hold back the Dark Mane. Shazah, the studious twin, the one whose trust was in her skill at magic and the knowledge of ancient texts, became the Mane. But their troubles were far from over.
They were sent through visions of the future, of what would happen without them. Greenshade and the rest of Valenwood burned as it was corrupted and overrun by werewolves. Auridon and Summerset fell.
As the two kajiit women whipped around a corner in an aylied ruin, Ra'jaheeri was frozen in place by the sound of a weak cough. Razum-dar was curled on the ground, struggling to breathe as he lay in an ever-growing pool of blood. Ra'jaheeri dropped her swords and fell to her knees next to him, the metal of her greaves painted red.
"Where were you?" He hissed.
"What? This one does not understand, she was there, it should not have taken long-"
"Why didn't you help?"
"R-Ra'jaheeri does not know! She is sorry! Oh Moons, please be okay."
Her hands couldn't do anything to stop the blood, the red darker than his hair, from spilling everywhere. She pressed down hard on his hands on top of his wound but it wouldn't stop.
"Please, Raz, you can't die now! This one is in love with you! Please don't leave her!" Ra'jaheeri was crying now, tears soaking into the fur on her face and dripping down to land on her armor with a *plink*.
Razum-dar's lips curled into a snarl. "Where was your love when this one couldn't defend our Queen? Where was your love for our friend?"
Her mouth dropped open in shock as he growled and shoved her away. "Go save her. Maybe she can forgive you. But this ome never can."
"Moon Hallowed, we have to move!" Shazah said, sending a spell flying towards faceless soldiers running towards them. She yanked at Ra'jaheeri's arm, who managed to pick up her swords and run into the ruin.
Ra'jaheeri was still crying when they emerged in the temple once again. She nearly screamed when she saw Raz standing there in his leather armor, whole and unharmed, a confused look on his face. She left her swords where they fell and ran to Raz, her head thumping into his chest and her arms wrapping around him. There was no blood on her armor, but she could almost feel it.
Raz took her aside in an empty hall of the temple after the ceremony was completed and Shazah was the Mane.
"What is wrong?" He asked, face more serious than she had ever seen him.
Ra'jaheeri whimpered. "This one is in love with you. And it took watching you die to give her the courage to tell you."
Razum-dar gently let her down to sit on the floor, his arm on her shoudlers as he sat too.
"Raz never knew you to be afraid of something so small as that."
Ra'jaheeri barked a short laugh through the sniffles. "Nothing relating to you is ever small."
Raz grinned. "Oh? Is knowing that what made you fall in love with this one?"
Ra'jaheeri slapped him on the shoulder, making him laugh.
He quieted after a moment. "This one is also in love with you."
She stared at him. "What?"
"Ever since you knew to tell that lie when we met. This one had fished a beautiful woman out of the sea and when she wakes up, she knows who to trust and how to blend in to a strange place? And then it just got worse after that."
He looked down at the ground, tracing the intricate tiles with a claw.
"But..... you could have any woman you wanted. Or man. Or anyone. You could charm the moons to come down and dance for you and then rob them blind as they spun. Why Ra'jaheeri?" She wiped away the water on her fur.
Raz smiled. "Were you not just listening? You are right, Raz could have anyone in Tamriel, but he wants the woman who is strong enough to survive Coldharbor, dying countless times, the subterfuge of Altmer court, and still be gentle enough to cry." He lifted a paw to her face and stroked her cheek with a thumb.
"This one........ Ra'jaheeri does not have her soul. It is still in Coldharbor. That is why she can die and come back. She is sorry for not telling you earlier."
Razum-dar shrugged. "That is not exactly something one tells people. You do not seem the soulless type, though."
She have a short chuckle. "This one was worried you would hate her once you found out."
Raz shook his head. "Raz is hard-pressed to think of something you could do to make him hate you. And this one has to think of lots of very odd situations, being a spy and all."
Ra'jaheeri shifted closer, resting her head on his shoulder, and Raz wrapped his other arm around her to match the first. They sat in silence for a time.
Until Ayrenn found them. "Well! It certainly took the two of you long enough!" She said, her hands on her hips as she looked down at them.
Ra'jaheeri frowned back up. "So you knew this whole time?"
Ayrenn laughed. "How could my Eyes be so blind?"
They quieted again as Ayrenn walked away, shaking her head.
"So what now?" Ra'jaheeri asked.
"Well. We are in a temple."

I did an OC bio for Nirinwe (from this post).
Okay Nirinwe is still in (re-)development, so some of this might change with time. I'm mostly doing this to challenge myself and because i'm bored.
Name: Nirinwe
Any Nicknames?: Nir
Age: I'm going to say she was born in 1E 302, making her 3,200 in ESO
Gender: female
Race: Altmer
Place of Birth: Lillandril
Sexual Orientation: Honestly idk yet? I can't imagine she's straight but otherwise I'm not sure
Current relationship status: Maybe she's married to an equally old Psijic lady who...works with/under Celarus in lorekeeping and is a professor as needed, and they have a chill life when Artaeum isn't on Nirn. Her name is Relarya.
Criminal Record: I don't think they have crime on Artaeum. But in the field, clean.
Political Views: Promoting good change, avoiding bad change. She's not really allowed to have outward political views outside of the Old Ways.
Places of Residence: Artaeum, generally. When she's ambassading, she might have quarters or like an apartment in the city/palace/whatever where she's doing the advising.
Occupation: Psijic ambassador, Vestige
Titles: Ambassador
Hobbies: Raising pigs, reading, going for walks around Artaeum, listening to her wife talk about her studies.
Interested in Magic? Which schools?: Mostly Psijic magic that can't really be categorized into schools, but that which can is mostly restoration and alteration with a smattering of others.
Interested in weapon or hand to hand combat?: Not really.
Interested in robbing Tamriel blind?: No, that would probably reflect poorly on the Psijic Order.
Most positive memories in their life?: Mmmmmm I really don't think I know her well enough yet to come up with something good for these.
Most negative memories in their life?:
Do they idolize anyone?: Nah
Go ahead and ramble off about anything in particular about them you want to share!: Okay so I originally created Nirinwe in ESO because I wanted a Psijic kid, and I stuck with the in-game canon that she joined the Psijic Order during the Summerset questline. She was young and scholarly and super excited to be part of the Psijics. But becoming a full-blown Psijic while you're also an adventurer is kind of unlikely to happen and work, so it felt weird.
So instead I decided to totally revamp her. Now she's been a Psijic for a long time, and has historically served as an ambassador and advisor to the First Council and subsequently to the Tribunal. When the Order detected the threat to Vvardenfell and Vivec's weakening, they sent her back in—despite the halt on Psijic advisors to rulers—due to her past experience and rapport with the Tribunal.

Some simple notes on a few of my OCs...
Tumblr media
Raveoov Thramfaere
Altmer noble on the mainland of the Summerset Isle
High ranking Mephala cultist, Deathweaver
Actually the son of Mannimarco by blood
Necromancer by choice, but not a lich by choice
By the late 3rd Era, has dyed hair dark purple
Was Trechire's first boyfriend, for a very long period of time
Didn't mention to her in all that time who he was and what he practiced- the necromancy, not the sexy murder times. That she knew.
That led to the break up, which kindles the fire for Raveoov to promise his father an easy way to bag and drag her for sacrifice.
By the late 3rd Era, their feud isn't even over the break up anymore, but over the various horrible shit they did to each other in the aftermath.
Eventually settled down with a nice Bosmer girl, and is a content lich demigod father to five.
Tumblr media
Trechire Galerion
Is a devoted lycan and worshiper of Hircine.
That of course is a secret, especially from her father and mother, Vanus Galerion and Caafire Salaelinwatch.
Champion of Vivec, Savior of the Clockwork City, Savior of Summerset, the Vestige- if it went whack in the 2and Era, she was the one that fixed it.
Was with Raveoov, then Tanval Indoril, was with Laloriaran and would have married had he lived, later married Abnur Tharn but then island went boom, didn't take any more romantic relationships after that until the late 3rd Era.
Then she met Eliindil, and they married- he later became Sheogorath, and she refused to loose another husband or to abandon him, so they remain married.
So yes, she is currently married to Sheogorath.
Has four sons: Sunnabela from Laloriaran, Rinyu from Abnur, Hirchire from Barbas, and Kirr from Sheogorath.
For over 1000 years, waited patiently to be able to be reunited with her first born, who was swiped away by the Order of the Worm through time via manipulation of an Elder Scroll.
She is cursed, made immortal by Clavicus Vile who found her misery at Laloriaran's death extremely funny, and told her she'd never be reunited with anyone she had ever loved who had passed and would forever watch loved ones come and go.
Assisted the Hero of Kvatch in stopping the Oblivon Crisis.
Tumblr media
Setheso Raamando
Nerevarine, who has the voice of Nerevar within their head acting as a second opinion and voice of reason.
Goes by "they/them", though if asked what gender they will initially say female.
To the point, a brick wall, and intimidating as all hell.
Daughter of Aithilo Raamando, who was the son of Sotha Sil and basically Lorkhan by default.
He wasn't a good dad, with Lorkhan slowly overtaking his mind and trying to posses a new vessel to take back his heart, so Setheso and him dont have a good relationship.
They are trying to figure each other out tho in the 4th Era, as Aithilo is much better after finally kicking Lorkhan's ass with much needed help.
In their younger years, they used bound battle axe and various destruction spells to defeat Dagoth Ur and travel Vvardenfell. But eventually they preferred a real daedric battleaxe and modified it to also act as a staff.
Was in a happy relationship with Jiub before the Oblivion Crisis.
Assisted the Hero of Kvatch in stopping the Oblivion Crisis.
Tumblr media
Codek Rinyu Galerion Tharn
During the Septim Dynasty, only went by "Codek Tharn"
After Jagar Tharn's shame, goes by "Rinyu"
Never really used "Galerion" unless he was back in Artaeum
Is actually an altmer-imperial mix, but is a highly skilled illusion and alteration sorcerer, and so can change his race if desired.
Of course that has its limitations and side effects, but he's pretty comfy with it.
During his time as High Chancellor under Tiber Septim, he was Imperial.
After Jagar, he reverted back to his altmer self for a while to drink away his depression.
He was a vampire by that point, so "drink" means something entirely different from being a drunk at the local pub.
In the late 3rd Era, was approached by Lucien Lachance and found purpose in the Dark Brotherhood.
He took on a khajiit form, and has remained in such to this day.
Is an ace- he still craves a romantic connection and likes cuddles, but everything else is just an activity to him that could be replaced with playing cards or chess. He'll only engage to make his partner happy.
Was married to a lovely Imperial battlemage during the Tiber years, later was romantically involved with Lucien, and currently is married to a brilliant dunmer alteration mage.
Of course he had children with his first wife, and from their descendants came Jagar.
Jagar is a very personal and touchy subject. It's highly advised to never mention him around Rinyu.
Was heavily conditioned into the typical Tharn personality during the Tiber years, but underneath that tough skin is the sweet and sunshine core of a Galerion.
Currently is the Listener for the Dark Brotherhood and Lord of Castle Volkihar.
Of course keeps in touch with his mother and brothers, always offering aid if need be.

Random TES OC Headcanons that I made up
Olavo has really tiny horns but he hides them under his hair. He’s very insecure about them.
Unbeknownst to him, Olavo’s siblings secretly dislike being involved with the family business. However, they don’t have the courage to stand up for themselves and choose their own career like Olavo did. This has caused a lot of resentment between him and his siblings.
Honoré is distantly related to my Vestige, Apolline I. Honoré’s elder sister was named in her honor. Apolline was a member of the first Aldmeri Dominion and served Queen Ayrenn. She died defending her home from Tiber Septim’s forces, hence why Honoré’s family hates him so much.
Andromeda’s people worship the same gods as the Altmer. However there are some notable differences. They worship Meridia and call her Meri-Nunda. They also recognize Jephre and Triminac as female. The biggest difference is that they still believe Triminac is still alive, but Boethiah just took her legs and made them into Malacath. Auri-El responded by making her a pair out of starlight. Triminac then became the patron goddess of amputees.
When Llarvura (my dunmer thief OC) and Karliah needed to translate Gallus’ journal, they went to Andromeda for assistance since she could read Falmeris. Andromeda refused at first then relented. As a token of thanks, Llarvura gave her the Eyes of The Falmer, and Andromeda sent them to Aldmeris for safe keeping.
The country of Aldmeris is split up into 9 regions each ruled by a noble house similar to the Counts of Cyrodiil and the Jarls of Skyrim. Andromeda’s family rules Agora alongside the royal family and takes care of the day to day business in Agora while the royal family handles matters all over Aldmeris
Each member of these noble families has the title of Duke or Duchess. However the most senior member of a noble family is called an Archduke or Archduchess. Andromeda’s grandmother, Despoina recently became Archduchess when her father passed away.
After the Great War the current Altmeri prince married the Falmeri princess of Aldmeris, this uniting Aldmeris and the Dominion under one monarchy. The princesses younger brother rules Aldmeris in her stead.
Once Sa’mira and her siblings join the Thalmor, they all send money home to the point where their mother and their two youngest siblings can finally live comfortably.

TES OC Sheet -- Rowand’we Roseheart
Tumblr media
(Pls ignore the bad photoshop, & thank you to @nightingaletrash for the template!)
Character’s full name: Rowand’we Roseheart Nickname(s): Ravenhead (Wormcultists), Rowan (everyone else) Birth date and place: 30th Eveningstar, 2E 536 (6th century) Age: 46-49 (ESO) 52 (Orsinium) 53-56 (Morrowind, Clockwork City, Summerset) 60-61(Dragon War Arc) Sex/Gender: Cis female Sexuality: Demi Race: Altmer Height: 6′8″ Eye color: Gold Skin tone: Gold Hair color/Hairstyle: Black, grown out to waist. Worn down indoors; braid wrapped around head when out of doors; bun when working with hands/corpses Physical/Mental Disabilities/Disorders/Neurodivergences: Blind (severely short sighted). Personality traits: Loyal Academic Calm Independent Curious
Past and Current Life
Place of Residence: Imperial City (previous) Coldharbour (previous) Roseheart Hospital, Summerset (previous) Occupation: Doctor Religion/Beliefs: Believes in the Eight, but not at all religious in practice. Pets/Mounts: None Political Affiliations: Wormcult Psijics (non-member) Mages Guild (non-member) Education: Homeschooled/self-educated Apprenticed as a doctor in Roseheart Hospital Wormcult (necromancy) Backstory/Childhood: Rowan's mother was born and raised on Artaeum to a pair of Psijics. Long before Rowan was born, she left Artaeum to become a doctor and eventually founded a hospital on Summerset, where she raised her only child.
Rowan grew up among the sick and disabled at Roseheart Hospital, receiving an education only when her mother had time for it. Once Rowan could read, write and do basic mathematics, she was expected to largely educate herself and the time spent with her mother was only for her work to be corrected. Because of this, Rowan developed a strong sense of self discipline, curiosity and independent work ethic. Rowan never had to be told or taught to do things, as she taught herself anything she needed to know as it came up and was unafraid to make mistakes in the process.
When Rowan was a young teenager, Eilonwy began to groom her daughter to become a doctor in her own right, encouraging her to help out in the hospital and learn about herbs and medicine. Rowan became an apprentice for twenty years, thoroughly learning and memorising all she could, before she officially became a doctor and surgeon in her own right in her late thirties. However, her thirst for knowledge couldn’t be quenched and she yearned to learn more about medicine, eventually leaving the hospital to join the Wormcult in the Imperial City. She did this not to learn necromancy, but to more thoroughly understand the human/mer body, such as stages of composition, how various conditions impacted the organs, etc. Her knowledge, provided to the guard in Summerset later, would prove invaluable in evaluating when a body was killed.
Rowan would end up “caught up” in Wormcult events and ended up stranded in Coldharbour for a time. When Mannimarco eventually escaped his imprisonment at the hands of Molag Bal -- or was released by the Vestige, as nobody’s quite sure what happened -- Rowan attempted to treat him within the Wormcult, but they were in denial as to the extent of his internal wounds. Surely ~*~the Great Mannimarco~*~ couldn’t be so badly injured?
With her mother’s help, Rowan was able to smuggle Mannimarco out of Coldharbour and into Roseheart, where he stayed under the alias “Mathrien”. Rowan spent the next few months nursing the very traumatised-but-pretending-not-to-be necromancer back to health, and when he left to resume his research, she went with him to continue hers.
Although she would eventually become widely known to be associated with Mannimarco, Rowan’s disarming and rather innocent demeanor caused her to be welcome even among his enemies. Much to Vanus’s and Mannimarco’s mutual bafflement, she considered Vanus Galerion a good friend and was generally open about her position in the Wormcult if she was asked about the source of her knowledge. Although she never spied on Mannimarco or betrayed him, many people used this in an effort to “keep an eye” on him, as it was fairly easy to deduce whether or not he was “up to something” based on Rowan’s moods.
Skills
Weapons/Magic Abilities: Necromancy Special Role: Student necromancer Mannimarco’s personal doctor (post-Coldharbour) Pacifist
Lycanthropy/Vampirism: N/A

Title: To Hold Her Hand
Pairing: Female Altmer Vestige/Female Altmer Vestige
Rating: General.
Summary:  Valinnaire revealed revealed the ring, chest too tight, “Marry me?”
If there was one thing Valinnaire loved more than the sunlight dancing across her skin, it was the warmth of Venus’ hand in hers, the softness of her lips as they met in the early morning, the smell of an incoming storm with every hug.
It was especially welcome in Grahtwood, where they often found themselves in the cool shade. They strolled through the lush jungle, careful to avoid the carnivorous plants that lurked between the bushes. Valinnaire made a show of swinging a laughing Vineyra over her shoulder, before hiking up the sloping vista that was the Reliquary of Stars.
“Magnus is beautiful this time of evening.” Vineyra mused, eyes on the setting sun, cheekily patting Valinnaire’s backside.
“Oh, you’re talking about the sun now?” Valinnaire replied, swinging Vineyra up onto an alcove in the Ayleid structure.
“We are.” She smiled, brushing dust off her dress. It was the one Valinnaire had gifted her while they were on holiday in Vvardenfell, a guar leather corset sewed in with spider daedra silk dyed Hlaalu gold and Welkynd blue. She’d tripled checked.
She hopped up after a minute, then set about threading another ribbon into Vineyra’s hair. She smiled, flashing two dimples that Valinnaire thought were adorable, “It’s beautiful up here.”
Valinnaire watched the orange sunlight accentuate the gold of Vineyra’s eyes, suffuse her skin with an orange hue, “Most definitely.”
Valinnaire threaded their fingers together, checking over the contents of the plain box in her pocket. It was a simple affair, a small pearl flanked by pin prick sapphires, set into a thick band of solid gold. It was completely improper to even think of proposing to someone above her class, let alone have the ring made and actually attempt it.
Valinnaire bit her lip, waiting breathlessly for Vineyra to turn her gold eyes from the sinking sun. She smiled, and it must of seemed coy for the blush that spread across Vineyra’s face, upturning her palm to place a chaste kiss to each finger.
Valinnaire revealed revealed the ring, chest too tight, “Marry me?”
