Hey so this is a snippet from one of the projects I was involved in late this year - a massive collection of fanworks featuring the one and only Vincent Valentine, the Chaos Theory Zine which is out for preorders now. No ships, a collection of gorgeous fanart and fantastic writing with additional tiers of merch... it’s so good guys, we did so good, I’m so proud of my fellow contributors and myself. The mods were awesome. Kat’s First Zine was an excellent experience - AND! Proceeds go to charity.

Excerpt:

Crimson eyes closed and the internal static shut out the chaos around him - the smoke, the fire, the screaming - until there was nothing. He fell back into the abyss that had been his miserable existence for decades that felt like an eternity, grief and madness haunting him from the voices clamoring in his head, urging him to stay in a sort of stasis until a need managed to outweigh the pain. He had been roused once, and he knew in his heart that it was nothing but cowardice - fear of facing the world, of facing consequences and the reality of his new existence - that had kept him from getting up and staying up, joining Veld in his quest. He had wondered if Veld had found his daughter, had been able to save her.

Wondered if it would have made a difference if he had made an attempt to save Sephiroth. Lucrecia’s baby, all grown up with a vendetta no doubt borne in part by being raised by Hojo.

He opened his eyes, lips pursed. Now was not the time to reminisce and blame himself for opportunities long past. Maybe he would have made a difference, maybe he wouldn’t have.

The Lovers

My piece for the @sefikurafanzine! I really wanted to explore patterns this time last year and took a lot of inspiration from Klimt and Anna Sui's pattern designs in Gankutsuou. It's not perfect, but I learned a lot and had a great time making it!

I'm really glad that I got to work with and learn from so many talented creators on this zine, and would do it again in a heartbeat! 

 If you haven't purchased a copy already, there will be some leftover copies for sale starting March 10!
