neurotypicals being all "omgee this is so my hyperfixation" and then shaming someone who enjoys something like an actual hyperfixation
#not to me and not sure if the person they talked about was nd but they did have traits that were very nd and relatable#and when I call them out for shaming that person for having a legit hyperfixation everyone acted like I was the bad guy#no but even of you're upset at that person you don't get to shame them for that esp when it's unrelated#and then in the same breath they act all accepting of me because i made it clear i was nd and if it's me it's totes not the same thing#no it is. it absolutely is. just because you KNOW i'm nd and it's obvious in my case does not change it#ffs tho bring back shaming nt for taking nd terms esp when they shame someone for matching that term#jfc too like just say obsession instead#tempted to vent on twitter and say smth like hyperfixation is the same as special interest if you aren't nd don't say it or recognize what#it actually IS#vent#text#ondina's text posts!#would appreciate feedback on that yk i like hearing others' thoughts
