Rambling for each choices under the cut + alternate Charley The Plant banner:

GNB Phoenix: I had thought PLD would work for the whole 'truth and justice' schtick, but I don't want him to have the same class as Edgeworth (also a PLD in my mind) so I went for something 'out there'. Reckon GNB's good cuz, imagine those evidences and frequent "Objection!" are his literal bullets while he goes up close to the opponents.

MNK Mia: Case 1-2 aside, I always headcanon Mia have at least some form of self-defense via hand-to-hand combat given that her concept arts revolve around making her a biker attorney.

MCH Apollo: Perceiving + won't you believe it, Chord of Steel. I always imagine Apollo would be the MCH to Klavier's BRD and (maybe) DNC Nahyuta.

DRK Athena: Unironically couldn't think of a better job for Athena other than DRK. Just imagine a Dark Knight that, not only listen to their own heart, but also listen to other people's heart.

SMN Maya and Pearl: Spirit channeling. Full stop.

AST Trucy: Troupe Gramarye has card motif, so it's only logical that Trucy would get the card-themed job (her astroglobe is her magic panties lmao). There's also another reason but that'd be going into spoiler territory...

WHM Charley: LET THE DAMN PLANT HEAL! Also because WHM is the most connected to nature compared to other healer jobs. Cordyline Stricta is his species name but I figured it'd be a cool sounding job name lol. I made two banners for Charley, actually. The other is this one:

SMUT: it depends???? i require comfort and familiarity to even consider writing it let alone i just feel a bit iffy about it in general. it can be fun when in a safe environment, but i've had awful experiences and that's why i require very specific environments. just all depends on comfort & muse tbh

i. this blog is private, selective, and mutuals only. i curate a safe space for myself to relax and write - and that includes keeping my dash clean. if i follow you - please be aware it's because i want to write and enjoy seeing you on my dash! additionally, i am multiverse, multiship, crossover, oc (especially given the nature of ffxiv), au, and duplicate friendly. i do not do exclusives.

ii. my activity can be a bit sporadic. i have a number of other blogs in a different fandom and also enjoy... playing the game so, at times i may simply not want to write. if it's been longer than two weeks since you've received a reply for me, or i have not liked/acknowledged something you tagged me in - feel free to poke me about it.

vi. i love shipping. i am weak for it. it's an excellent character development tool and lends itself to some great interactions. i am a huge shipper at heart and am happy to ship. toxic, romantic, platonic? as long as there is chemistry and it's not gross, i'm usually down. that being said - i do like to develop a repetoire with muns beforehand, and shipping IS NOT THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THIS BLOG. also, i feel like i shouldn't have to type this out - but i do not, under any circumstances, romantically ship estinien with minor muses/minor coded muses (lalafell), and this INCLUDES the twins.

hello, lucian. 😏 first off, i want to say that i admire your absolute tenacity because it seems like everyone is always clamoring to rp with you! and understandably so, because your Leon/Squall is an absolute delight. having only a loose understanding of ffviii (and a brief addiction to triple triad thanks to ffxiv lol), most of my familiarity with the character comes from kh.

that being said, i think you’ve done such an excellent job capturing “a man now wiser” vibes that leon gives off and his outlook of the world after suffering through so much loss and hardship. your leon/squall gets back up again. and like i mentioned before, your writing has continued to age like a fine wine since we’ve met! i love the methodical approach you take in leon/squall’s thought process and how he interacts with the world because it’s very much in line with how i imagine him to be as a person.  

i would love to write more with you in the future. random memes, short threads, long threads, stupid banter, the works. i’ll never get tired of the boys. i do, however, worry about sending you way too much stuff with everything you’ve already got on your plate so i’m always trying to hold back on that submit button 😅

So the Translators for FFXIV were interviewed and I'm dying. They sit in on those recordings. So the English translators very well know about the meme recording/delivery of certain scenes and just have accepted the English cast being the English cast I'm dying 😂

Dude basically has lived 99% of his life in some sort of war and its been that way since he was born.
