This is never going to happen ever in a thousand years, but-

The sheer idea of Ishgardians meeting the Fire Emblem universe's manaketes tantalizes me.

Mind you it'd have to be post-Dragonsong War, otherwise those same Ishgardians would become my sworn enemies for attempting to murder any of these dragons (Save Loptyr and several other exceptions: fuck Loptyr and Grima with a hot silver rod for checking off some of my worst fears.).

Worst-case scenario is interacting with Duma, Mila, or any of the other dragons within Naga's direct counsel, including Naga.

Thabes' existence fueling his paranoia about humanity would cause Duma to ruin everything verbally on contact, especially if he found out about the Allagan empire. He would, however, approve of Ishgard's idealism in strength.

Then again he is [redacted] in FE: Echoes of Valentia.

Mila would be disappointed in them on contact the moment she sees the Brume. Then again, since the restoration efforts, conditions are slowly improving.

And like Duma, she is slowly becoming [removed] in the same game.

Both for the same reason.

Maybe Naga's sheer power scale might scare everyone despite her non-intervention policy among the manaketes...

She is able to pull off [spoilers] for multiple people, that's why.

But I digress-

I'm thinking more on the lines of manaketes such as Xane and Tiki - two dragons of which only one has retained the ability to shapeshift into one. Xane instead gained the ability to take on the shape of anyone he runs across.

Yes, they're both long-lived, but neither deign to rule over man at all. They're both just experienced travelers with a fancy stone on them (minus Xane since he threw his away) to anyone who meets them on the road and doesn't get to know them.

Now why the Ishgardians over everyone else? :)

Fire Emblem's manaketes, save for a few exceptions, have humanoid forms with pointed ears.

I can't help myself in making Ishgardians sweat over information. But then again, given the origin of the dragonstones, maybe something could be gleaned from them in hopes of giving the transformed Dravanian elezen who came back to Ishgard their previous forms.

...Nah, that'll never happen.

Do I want Estinien playing dragon counselor again whilst internally cursing his luck?

For a while now I've been looking for a setting in FFXIV and I've finally found it. It's not NEW, but I don't think it's commonly known either.

I wanted the setting that changes the player's name color in chat, according to their role. For example, if they are tank, their name would be blue, if they are healer, their name would be green, and if they are DPS, their name would be red.

At first I thought it was this ⤵️

The "Apply colors according to role." check mark option. But what that does, is this;

It may be a bit difficult to tell here because I tried to edit names in the screenshot (attempting to be considerate of people). It's really hard to see the ONE tank in my Alliance (B). But that option color codes the names of players above their head, in your party. And It doesn't effect other players in your alliance. (I have my alliance name plates set to a color very similar to that green apparently... I might change it.)

After learning this (literally today), I went searching again and found the real thing. It's this ⤵️

Found in Character Configuration > Log Window Settings > Button at the top right that says "Name Display Settings"

It'll open a new window called "Chat Log Name Display Settings".

I feel like this is rather hidden tbh 😅. But I was going over this topic with a couple friends in Discord and honestly this find is nice. We're all going to be using it 👌🏻

You can mess with the settings and apply them, and view how they'll look real time at the bottom with the small chat 'example' they provide.

It's just one of those small quality of life things, y'know? It's not game breaking, but it's nice to have 😊

the realization that rielle is like probably 17-19 (per her comment about being due for the elezen growth spurt) puts an entirely new spin on that line of quests lmao particularly every time she's like sidurgu dude i am not your surrogate daughter. imagine constantly being treated like an orphaned waif child by a 26 year old man with depression and it's literally just because you're a short teenager and he met your mom one time. remarkable stuff.

During NOAH's excursions into the Crystal Tower two bodies were discovered in a control chamber on one of the upper floors. The Sons of Saint Coinach recorded the find and removed the remains for further study. Though their identities are a mystery, they are thought to have died before or perhaps during the Fourth Umbral Calamity.

The exact cause of death too is unknown. Although a peculiar red crystal recovered with the bones may contain clues- if any can decipher them. The only person to handle it closely nearly collapsed, later reporting being overcome by a sense of terrible anguish.
