Oney Tapia: Un Campione Paralimpico dell’Atletica Italiana

Oney Tapia è uno degli atleti paralimpici più rappresentativi dell’atletica italiana. Nato a L’Avana, Cuba, il 27 febbraio 1976, Tapia ha trovato nell’Italia la sua seconda casa e il luogo in cui ha costruito la sua straordinaria carriera sportiva. Specializzato nel lancio del disco e nel getto del peso, l’atleta ha raggiunto traguardi prestigiosi a livello internazionale, diventando un simbolo di determinazione e successo nell’atletica paralimpica.

Dalla Passione per il Baseball all’Atletica Paralimpica

Prima di emergere nell’atletica, Oney Tapia era un promettente giocatore di baseball. Trasferitosi in Italia nel 2002, ha militato come lanciatore in squadre come l’Old Rags Lodi e il Montorio Veronese. La sua carriera sportiva, tuttavia, ha subito una svolta drastica nel 2011, quando un grave incidente sul lavoro gli ha causato la perdita della vista. Questo evento avrebbe potuto segnare la fine della sua attività sportiva, ma Tapia ha trovato la forza di reinventarsi, avvicinandosi prima a discipline come il goalball e il torball e poi all’atletica leggera paralimpica.

I Primi Successi nell’Atletica

Nel 2013, Tapia si è affacciato per la prima volta al mondo dell’atletica, dimostrando subito un talento straordinario nel lancio del disco e nel getto del peso. Lo stesso anno ha stabilito il record nazionale italiano nel lancio del disco nella categoria F11 con 30,99 metri. Solo due anni dopo, nel 2015, ha raggiunto il vertice del ranking mondiale con un lancio di 40,26 metri durante i campionati italiani di Cernusco sul Naviglio.

Grazie a questi risultati, Tapia è entrato a far parte della nazionale italiana di atletica, partecipando ai Mondiali paralimpici di Doha nel 2015, dove si è classificato tredicesimo. Il vero exploit è arrivato nel 2016, con la vittoria della medaglia d’oro nel lancio del disco agli Europei paralimpici di Grosseto e la conquista della medaglia d’argento ai Giochi Paralimpici di Rio de Janeiro.

Il Consolidamento nel Mondo dell’Atletica

Nel 2018, Tapia ha confermato il suo dominio nell’atletica paralimpica vincendo due medaglie d’oro agli Europei di Berlino, una nel getto del peso e una nel lancio del disco, stabilendo anche un nuovo record mondiale con la misura di 46,07 metri. Questo successo lo ha consacrato come uno dei migliori atleti paralimpici al mondo.

L’anno successivo, ai Mondiali paralimpici di Dubai, ha ottenuto un’altra prestigiosa medaglia d’argento nel lancio del disco F11. Il percorso di crescita dell’atleta è proseguito con le Paralimpiadi di Tokyo 2021, dove ha conquistato due medaglie di bronzo: una nel getto del peso (con il suo miglior risultato personale di 13,60 metri) e una nel lancio del disco.

L’Apice della Carriera: Il Trionfo ai Mondiali e alle Paralimpiadi di Parigi 2024

Nel 2024, Tapia ha raggiunto l’apice della sua carriera sportiva nell’atletica paralimpica. Ai Mondiali di Kobe ha vinto il suo primo oro iridato nel lancio del disco F11 con la misura di 42,72 metri, guadagnandosi la qualificazione per i Giochi Paralimpici di Parigi. Qui, ha coronato il sogno di una vita, vincendo la sua prima medaglia d’oro paralimpica nel lancio del disco, con una prestazione di 41,92 metri.

Un Atleta Esemplare per il Mondo dell’Atletica

Oney Tapia non è solo un campione dell’atletica, ma anche un esempio di resilienza e determinazione. La sua storia ha ispirato molti, dimostrando come la forza di volontà possa superare ogni ostacolo. Il suo talento e la sua dedizione gli sono valsi non solo numerosi titoli sportivi, ma anche il riconoscimento ufficiale dello Stato Italiano: nel 2016, Tapia è stato insignito dell’onorificenza di Ufficiale dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.

Il campione paralimpico Alessandro Cannata al 34° Meeting Arcobaleno AtleticaEuropa.

Lo stadio Olmo/Ferro di Celle Ligure, il 19 luglio, ha ospitato la 34 ° edizione del Meeting Arcobaleno EAP AtleticaEuropa, con la partecipazione delle stelle dell’atletica nazionale ed internazionale in rappresentanza di 45 nazioni (Australia, Austria, Benin, Botswana, Canada, Cile, Congo, Croazia, Cuba, Danimarca, Eswatini, Etiopia, Francia, Germania, Giamaica, Grecia, Gran Bretagna, Kenya, Irlanda, Italia, Kuwait, Lettonia, Lituania, Malesia, Malta, Marocco, Olanda, Principato di Monaco, Namibia, Nigeria, Nuova Zelanda, Portogallo, Repubblica Ceca, Serbia, Slovacchia, Slovenia, Spagna, Sudafrica, Svezia, Svizzera, Tunisia, Turchia, Ungheria, Ucraina e Zimbabwe).

Ben nove le delegazioni Europe Athletisme Promotion: Kuldiga (Lettonia), Amsterdam (Olanda), Budapest (Ungheria), Malta, Palafrugell (Spagna), Loughborough (Gran Bretagna), Ginevra (Svizzera) e le italiane Codroipo e Biella.

“Il Meeting Arcobaleno ormai è una tradizione sportiva consolidata della nostra regione che ogni volta riesce a rappresentare un’eccellenza sportiva non solo per l’alto livello qualitativo dei partecipanti, ma anche per l’accoglienza che gli organizzatori riescono a manifestare nei confronti di atleti che arrivano anche da molto lontano e da altre culture – ha affermato l’assessore regionale allo Sport Simona Ferro – Lo sport di alto livello in combinazione con l’ospitalità della nostra regione è un binomio vincente che rappresenta anche le vocazioni della nostra terra”.

La manifestazione è inserita nel calendario World Athletics (Challenger Continental Tour) nell’ambito dei “WORLD ATHLETICS CONTINENTAL TOUR CHALLENGE”, della European Athletics Association (), nell’Area Permit Meetings, ed è una delle tappe significative del Circuito Internazionale European Athletics Promotion. Da quest’anno il Meeting Arcobaleno fa anche parte del prestigioso Circuito Euromeetings. Promosso dai Comuni di Celle Ligure e Varazze, ASD Centro Atletica Celle Ligure e ADS Atletica Arcobaleno Savona, con il supporto della Fondazione Agostino De Mari, il patrocinio/ contributo della Regione Liguria e il patrocinio della Provincia di Savona, Coni, CIP, INAIL e Fispes, il meeting è supportato da un corollario di attività ideate e realizzate durante l’intero anno (stages nel comprensorio di numerosi Team stranieri, Eurospring, l’attività comunale, distrettuale e provinciale delle gare scolastiche di Atletica ed il “Meeting Arcobaleno Scuola-con i Lions oltre le barriere”). Presenti molte autorità, tra cui l’Assessore regionale allo Sport Simona Ferro, il Sindaco Caterina Mordeglia, l’Assessore comunale allo Sport e Turismo di Celle Ligure Stefania Sebberu, il Sindaco di Varazze Luigi Pierfederici, il Direttore organizzativo Giorgio Ferrando, il Presidente del Centro Atletica Celle Ligure Marco Calcagno, Pino Corso, rappresentante della delegazione Sport Paralimpici Sperimentali (nella foto sottostante insieme ai campioni paralimpici) e i rappresentanti di Fidal, Coni e CIP.

"La particolarità della nostra manifestazione è il grande coinvolgimento del territorio, delle scuole e del mondo della disabilità per l’intero l’anno – ha affermato il direttore organizzativo Giorgio Ferrando -. Questo ci differenzia da altri eventi internazionali. Mai come quest’anno il meeting è stato contraddistinto dalla qualità di tanti atleti top senza però tagliare fuori la base, anzi valorizzandola con la partecipazione sia in ambito giovanile che assoluto. Il mio principale ringraziamento va ai volontari per aver supportato l’organizzazione in una giornata molto impegnativa sul fronte logistico con oltre 150 presenze straniere. I risultati, con 5 record del Meeting, significano una qualità media elevata: c’è piena soddisfazione, perché 45 nazioni vuol dire credibilità conquistata nel corso degli anni grazie anche e soprattutto ai rapporti umani. Il nostro è un progetto che dura un anno intero”.

L’integrazione, come sottolineato da Ferrando, è da sempre uno dei punti di forza del Meeting Arcobaleno e grazie alla condivisione del progetto meeting con Fispes il programma ha previsto due gare paralimpiche: i 400 metri in carrozzina e i 100 metri per non vedenti e amputati a cui ha partecipato lo straordinario Alessandro Cannata, atleta ipovedente detentore di due record nazionali sui 200 e 400 metri indoor (categoria T11), conquistati nel 2022, in un solo giorno.

Siciliano di nascita ma milanese d'adozione, Cannata ha praticato la marcia fino ai 20 anni, vestendo per quattro anni i colori della nazionale italiana juniores. A causa del peggioramento della sua condizione visiva, é stato costretto ad interrompere questo percorso, impossibilitato, per quei tempi, ad entrare in un gruppo sportivo militare per poter diventare un atleta professionista. Si laurea poi in Giurisprudenza e diviene legale d'impresa.

Da due anni, accanto a lui come guida, c'é Samir Ahmaed, 21enne egiziano, arrivato in Italia a quattordici anni. Samir tenta di percorrere la carriera calcistica ma poi viene a contatto con RunChallenge, un run club che raggruppa persone con e senza disabilità per farle correre insieme. Dopo un anno gli viene proposto di diventare la guida per Alessandro, un ragazzo non vedente con il sogno di vincere il titolo italiano. Il loro è davvero un incontro voluto dal destino.

Nonostante quest'anno non sia riuscito a mantenere il titolo di Campione italiano sui 400m e i 200m (riconfermando i risultati che gli sarebbero valsi come accesso ai mondiali) per non aver potuto gareggiare causa mancanza guida, Cannata é il primo italiano nel ranking europeo e mondiale (13° prestazione mondiale).

Old/Lost God

Disclaimer to would be students 

Before we get started, I would like to introduce myself. I’m Richard of the house of red servant, and follower of the New God Kedione. In my role as a servant of them, I have become a historian, and I have grown a fascination with the old gods who will be intermediately throughout this text referred to as the lost gods as well. I will try my best to unbiased my recordkeeping but is we know that is impossible so take my works with a grain of salt. also this is an unedited manuscript. Please ignore any notes to editor or any crossed out language.

Start of the Old Gods

The old Gods age cannot like the new gods be pinpointed. We know they are at least a few eons old seeing as they are younger than the spirits of Arora, but older were here before the new gods (note to editor how would you phrase the arrival  of the new gods? From all written records, we don’t know if they’re older or younger than the lost gods, but the old gods were certainly here before them)

Although the old gods are old enough that time means meant very little to them. We do know who the first old God was Ovyiells , pronounced Oevyless. He was the ruling God of the pantheon ,although it should be noted as opposed to Fidall who rules the new gods like a king, he ruled like a father or a friend because of this the world had very little order. He was the god of the harvest ,seasons, his favorite being spring, and dreams. When he slept, his dreams became reality and it’s believed that many of the races that now inhabit this world come from his first dreams, but because Ovyiells could not manage his dreams, his nightmares also became reality and his nightmares fashioned many of the monsters we see to this day. Alongside this, despite his domain of the seasons, he proved himself to be a quite inept steward of the land. ( note to editor you recommended this language I find it’s too harsh but if you insist I keep it I will)

So unconsciously or consciously Ovyiells fashioned himself a wife, Zoahnk, who was the god of Nature, Life, and would help him manage the seasons, her favorite being winter. He also made a servant ,Jhinn, who was the god of Interpretation, Messages, Prophecy, and Language. Jhinn would sleep with Ovyiells ( note to editor. This sounds dirty better phrasing recommendation.) and would see his dreams and also his nightmares and using her power of interpretation would pick the ones most beneficial for the world . It also ended the monsters being created by Ovyiells .

Zoahnk and Ovyiells were in love with each other and although they were both good friends with Jhinn She felt lonely, so one night she stole the dreams of Ovyiells to make her perpetually young daughter Erida the goddess of Miracles, Hope, Wishes, youth, and innocence. most historians agree that Ovyiells have no ill will to either Jhinn and Erida treating her like a much beloved niece . Erida was made to be the perfect idea of a young daughter perpetually innocent and perpetually hopeful because of this she was unable to recognize evil in the world and granted the wishes of many evil people.

Dorhaii was made to rectify this time Jhinn, with the consent knowledge of Ovyiells, made him to be the perfect older brother .despite being younger than Erida. But alas, something was wrong about his creation. Historians disagree on what happened most say it was just a random fluke not even a God can be truly perfect . others ,who this writer personally disagrees with ,say that the new god Kedione used their powers to weave nightmares into Dorhaii. nothing seems drawn at first Dorhaii was honorable and just kind, but he did not stay that way for long in the presence of other gods he would slowly go insane and become cruel and callous. So with a heavy heart Ovyiells banished him from the presence of any other gods and so Dorhaii walk the realms of man doing many grade and Noble deeds and many terrible ones as well, such as his creation of the barbaric Doroha Tribes.



 But did the old gods know that they’re dysfunctional reign of the world was soon about to end for coming from the sky we’re five great lights here to reshape the world and they were the new gods .
