The first and second trial autopsy is conducted by Blake and Oscar. Because Blake is trying to use her assassin skills for good and Oscar because he’s generally smart and well trusted by everybody.

Whitley is actually able to convict Oscar because Blake notices he does a particularly poor autopsy on Weiss.

For trial three Blake recruits Whittley to find a person to help her with the autopsies for the murders and any future ones . He tries winter first, but considering her infection with despair disease and the death of Weiss , he ops against it. He convinces Qrow to do it because his rugged survivalist lifestyle helps him analyze what may have gone wrong.

Qrow both out of a desire to analyze Whitley and deal with feelings of helplessness that he felt since the killing game began agrees . Alongside this, it’ll allow him to get close to Blake and comfort her, and he can find that asshole who killed his firecracker.

When Qrow dies, Blake never attempts to get another assistant believing they will just died before they be any help.

And I have this really sad vision of Blake conducting the fifth trial audit by herself lonely, scared, but determined to find out what happened to her friend and protect the other from the murderer on the loose until she realizes who killed Ren.

Weiss ultimate heir (a title Weiss resents feeling that she did not earn that title on her own only inheriting it after her sister winter became the ultimate specialist. Weiss prefers the title, ultimate fencer, although she can be cold and snappy she deeply cares for her teammates and family. She works to end into the killing game claiming that she will kill the mastermind whoever they are).

Whitley ultimate spare/ultimate despair (Whitley earned this title from being spare heir to schnee dust company years of resentment, boil up, giving him a nihilistic world view that nothing matters when a shady group approaches him with the idea of running the killing game Whitley shrugs and accept he’s been following people’s orders for years. What’s so different about this one )

Winter ultimate specialist (escaping her toxic home life at 17 Winter quickly rose through the ranks of the Atlas military because of her impressive skill, claiming to have even captured Raven and beat Adam in a duel, a claim neither refute, but neither confirm, becoming the right hand woman of General ironwood she is demanding precise, but with a secret Tenderness. Penny ultimate robot ( made by her father Pietro the ultimate engineer penny is the first fully sentient robot capable of learning and feeling emotions although Pietro was a great father. Penny feels emotionally isolated, and is has deep desire to make friends and help others secretly hoping one day to become the ultimate friend.)

Oscar ultimate Hope ( Oscar claims to have survived multiple killing games. A claim that both Raven and Qrow back up . he works in the first chapter to prevent murders which he does preventing Adam for murdering Whitley and in the first class trial, points out pitfalls in everyone’s argument but never letting them succumb to despair . although he grows increasingly suspicious of Whitley throughout it. Also claims to remember things that definitely happened before he was born)

Ren ultimate therapist ( Ren’s life on the run with Nora let him see all kinds of people and how they live. Giving him a keen eye for other people’s emotions desiring to help people, he became a therapist to help them with their problems .introverted but with a burning sense of justice, he sure to sniff out with Whitley scheme)

Jaune ultimate lucky student ( Jaune is attending be out of pure luck being there once a year lucky student he feels a deep seeded inadequacy about this, but his kind and friendly and with the help of good friends like Nora, Ren and Pyrrha he sure to come out of his shell )

Nora ultimate personal trainer ( Nora’s years on the street with Ren ment she had to get strong this also left her with a burning sense of justice because of her own mistreatment. She strives to protect others by giving them the power to protect themselves, which is why she takes the small unimposing Whitley under her wing, claiming that she’ll give him some rocking abs and thunder thighs, no matter the cost)

Pyrrha ultimate spear woman (Pyrrha skill with the spear and physical strength is so impressive. interest in sports with spear where she appeared get more views than the Super Bowl or the World Series ,Inspiring a whole new generation of athletes, although she feels deeply insecure about this feeling that other athletes are being over shadowed by her and she’s tried very hard to correct this)

Raven ultimate bandit ( The Branwen tribe  raided companies and governments. In every major kingdom. She is a fierce imposing, bandit queen beneath this brash exterior, is a deeply insecure person afraid of commitment and love and above all else afraid of her own death)

Adam ultimate rebel (leader of the white fang Adams rebels have brought chaos in their wake, crippling major parts of the Schnee dust company, and the Atlas government he is mean and cruel after years of abuse from human slave drivers, but this is also given him the drive to survive and see his goals to the bitter end)

Ironwood ultimate general ( Ironwood has led the armies of Atlas into countless successful battles. He is common friendly on the surface, but with a deep hardness inside, that will allow him to do anything to achieve victory. He is great friends with winter and strive to see her succeed in life, hoping that one day she will become the next ultimate general.)

Qrow ultimate survivalist ( Qrow’s life has been fraught with despair brought upon by his terrible luck since he was born. Him and his sister Raven were cast out of the tribe because of his unlucky red eyes close friends have died around him, but he survived, he survived being abandon the wilderness he survived wars he survived a previous monstrous killing game, and all of this has left him with a terrible drinking problem and a deep love of his close friends and family, which is part of the reason he becomes suspicious of Whitley and his non-closeness with his family.

I think, considering our protagonist Whitley is the mastermind. The antagonist might be the person who’s closest to figuring out the truth. Oscar sniffs him out first then Yang and then Qrow. Which would explain why they all die directly after becoming suspicious of him.

Although I can’t think of a reason for him to be mastermind maybe years of Willow’s and Jacques’ parental neglect cause him to go into despair and become the mastermind. But then again, I’m not entirely satisfied with that .
