GERBITS TOWNIE OVERHAUL: A SAVE FILE

This thing was due for a major update- and I've finally mustered up the inspiration to get it done 💪

What is this? This is a save file where all (yes, ALL) of the EA townies have been given makeovers- hair, faces, clothing...no eyeball rings here, folks. And the best part? They are all CC-FREE!

You won't find any updated builds or anything, because I'm not a builder. What you will find on top of makeovers, however, is that this save file is also mostly lore-friendly.

Neat! So, what changes have been made? Sims have been removed and/or added (goodbye Katrina Caliente, hello Kaylynn Langerak!), relationships have been fixed (depending on your definition of 'fixed', heh), and concept sims are now a part of the game! (ever wonder what happened to those awesome sages of magic? wonder no more!)

Okay, but what if I only want a couple of these households? Fret not, because they are available on the gallery! And before you ask, no, I won't be uploading tray files. You can find them by searching for my username in the gallery (unsurprisingly, it is gerbits), and you will need to have "includes CC" ticked! While they are, indeed, CC-free, I made them with my defaults installed and apparently that isn't good enough for EA.

I changed my mind, I want the whole save! How do I install it? Place the file in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves folder. Easy peasy!

Hey y'all! So, for just under a year, I've had a review for the Season 6 finale of The Good Doctor sitting in my drafts. There's barely anything, and I've never had the motivation to get around to it, so I'm going to do a really quick one here. I'll try and do a more in depth one with that draft in the future, but the finale season (😭😭💔) premieres in a couple of days, and I want it out before then. I'm super busy and tired so I don't have the energy for the full thing lol, so here's just something to ease my mind.

I'm sad to see Danny go :(. I'm glad he's doing what's best for him and that he's not mad at Jordan (because yeesh I understood him but that hurt me, hurt on all sides lol), but I'll miss him </3. Maybe one day he'll come back :') (although in current context I doubt it buuut you never know). And poor Jordan too 😭.

Also thank goodness Jerome and Jared are okay xD. I mean okay is a relative term here but yk. Anyway, I'm so glad they're okay we went through enough this episode 😭❤️ xD.

AAAHHHHH PARK AND MORGAN ARE BACK TOGETHER!!! WHOOO YAYYY FINALLYYYY!!! They took their sweet time huh xD. Like, the show lol. Still, they're gonna be a family together :'DD I'm so happy. They're adorable, I love them <33.

:OO Andrews is quitting! That's wild tbh. I mean good for him, and Dalisay too, but dang xD. Brave move man, lol. You better hope it works out xD, with her I mean. But nah, I'm happy for them :DD.

Iirc Lim and Glassman were with the patient who couldn't move or was almost brain dead or something like that, and I'm so glad they found a way to help her improve :'). I'm proud of them <3.

I don't remember who was on the case with him but I remember Asher's patient's father (I believe) died and I felt so bad for him 😭. Poor Asher :(. And poor the guy's family! They just kept doing heartbreaking things this episode xdd. Also the little Asher and Jerome moment at the beginning of the episode <33 my lovelies.

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHAUN AND LEA HAD THEIR BABY :'DDDDD!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR THEM HOLY CRAP 😭😭❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰😭❤️😍🤩🥳🥳🥳🥳❤️. AND THEY NAMED HIM STEVE AARON AAAAAHHHHHHHH 😭😭😭😭😭💔❤️❤️❤️❤️!!! I'm not okay thank you very much <333. I love them all so much :'))).

Also VOEIAMPFWNIAH GLASSMAN WHY. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME. I MEAN I KNOW WHY BUT SIRRR 😭😭😭💔💔💔 I DON'T DESERVE THIS!!

Anyway but him sending the gift was so cute 😭😭😭💔💔❤️❤️❤️. But just aUOAGH he was SO CLOSE TO GOING INNNN-

xD But seriously, even if the hat part made me SAD, I loved the whole storyline <33. And I am so glad Glassman sent a gift xd. They'll make up eventually :')). It would be absolutely WILD if they didn't, and it will be pain until they do, but I'm sure they will lol.

Anyway!! There was a lot of drama between people this season (though there always has to be), and sometimes it was stressful, but I really enjoyed this season. There were so many great moments and I just love all these characters so much <333. And let's not forget the new characters!! Danny and Dani (I still find it absolutely wild that they never addressed that btw lol) were icons, and I was sad to see both of them go but they were really good for their time on <3. They were both super unique and I also loved seeing a disabled character in Dani :D. Her journey helping Lim with her own journey was amazing, and I kind of relate as a disabled person <3. And Danny was also super great, it was nice to see him stick to his reasons and decisions a lot. For a one season character he was really complex and I like that :)). Also his relationship with Jordan was great <333. It was also wild to see Kalu return this season lol!! It took some adjusting (though I enjoyed that time too) but I love having him back :DD. I love all of these guys so much and I can't wait for next season <333.

Sooo yeah!! I absolutely loved this episode, it was so dramatic and so good. I'm so excited for the next season!

Parent Problems #3

Y’all, I finallyyyy get to smoke cannabis with my dad, which seems great and all at first, because yay cool, I finally have a parent to get high with, so things seem fun at first.

And when I say “at first,” I mean at first.

Since my dad injured his hand badly over the weekend, he’s been sharing his “pain relief” seshes with me, and we use his makeshift water pipe, made out of an actual underground pipe and an metal bong pipe. 

Problem is though, it’s hard to smoke out of, because of how easily tippable it is to spill the water out. And there’s something unfortunate I’ve discovered about enjoying cannabis with my dad.

The man does not have the patience of a real stoner.

What’s worse is, he absolutely refuses to smoke out of my pipe because he doesn’t want to bUrN hIs ThRoAt, so if I wanna get high with him, it has to be on his terms; aka smoking his stupid, annoying makeshift pipe.

Idk about y’all who have stoner parents out there, but mine’s a fucking bitch, okay? Like not only does his patience run as thin as a wire, but he easily judges me while we’re getting high, with no problem almost. 

For example: 

“You smoke too much.”

“You’re wasting so much cannabis with all that smoke.”

“You just need only half a nug, not a whole bowl.”

“Your throat must have scar tissue and that’s not good.”

*groans whenever I accidentally spill the water out of a small makeshift pipe, not understanding I have better control of myself when I smoke indica and not sativa, so he makes fun of me for it.*

“You and Moses (my brother) like to waste your cannabis with those big rips you take.”

I honestly don’t know why I keep smoking with him, honestly. Despite his verbal abuse, I guess I keep silent about it because I want to have a parent to smoke with, and if I speak up about it, he’ll either deny it or get offended or both.

But like come tf on dude, I’ve been a stoner since I was 15, and most of the time that I’ve gotten high throughout the years, I was pretty much by myself. Sooo it’s kinda difficult to, I don’t know, smoke a whole different way than the way I’ve been smoking for five whole years? 

For all of you out there with stoner parents who let you smoke with them, I sincerely hope you guys have healthier parents to smoke with than I do, cuz shit is a real struggle. 

P.S.: I’m 19, soon to be 20, and this bitch really wouldn’t let me take the car to a nearby dispensary at the beginning of the week, because I wanted two pre-rolls, since he believes joints and blunts are a waste of cannabis consumption. 

But then claims he may just take me himself, when he’s recovered, possibly at the end of the week?

Make it make sense.

it was 40 minutes before 6pm.

HALO was going to perform first for around 5 minutes before y/n's turn.

after a few minutes of discussing, Mark decided to replace Seungmin's role as the guitarist while he chose Haechan to cover the vocals part.

he thought that Haechan's voice was similar to Seungmin's and was suitable to be his stand in.

y/n was still in a daze but she forced herself to put the confusion about Seungmin aside and try to do her best for the Dance Club's event.

she didn't want to ruin someone else's day too.

although the practice was short and last minute, it went quite well. Haechan was indeed a very excellent singer.

2 more minutes .

y/n held her guitar tightly and she tried to calm herself down by breathing in and out slowly. deep in her mind, she was still thinking about Seungmin.

but her train of thoughts quickly disappear when a warm hand held her shoulder.

y/n turned around and was greeted by the boy who makes her heart skip a beat.

"no matter what, you'll do great. Jeno and I are supporting you from the audience.". Jaemin comforted her with a squeeze on her shoulder.

y/n only managed to give a small smile and a nod before her name was announced, which was her cue to be on stage with Haechan.

y/n tried to perform her best. she didn't want to spoil the stage for Haechan and Mark who sincerely learned the song just to save her performance .

she also didn't want to disappoint Jaemin and Jeno who supported her till the end.

after the performance, y/n quickly put her guitar aside and reached for her phone . she really needed the full explanation from Seungmin.

y/n wasn't just worried. she was annoyed and frustrated. she didn't understand why Seungmin was doing this.

just as y/n was about to call Seungmin, she received a whole thread of messages from the boy.

~ hey y/n , i'm sorry i had to do this through a text message. but i think it's best for us to break up. i mean, it's not like our relationship was real real in the first place, right? ~

she felt a pang in her heart. true, she didn't have feelings for Seungmin. but she held him dear to her heart as a friend.

~ anyways,, i've officially moved here and transferred to another school. i was scouted last month and had an audition at an agency here. i was accepted so i had to quickly arrange things with my family so i was able to continue my studies and be a trainee at the same time. ~

y/n frowned. she was happy for him. but she was still frustrated. really? he just had to move on the supposedly important day for him and make trouble for other people? that was... selfish of him.

~ since i've started being a trainee, i think it's best for us to cut contact for now. you know, i don't want scandals or bad rumours about me going around, especially about relationships. let's not hurt each other anymore and end it here. goodbye y/n.~

y/n blinked at the last message. she had mixed feelings. without her realising, tears started flowing down her cheeks.

y/n squatted at a corner outside the hall in which the event was held at.

she started sobbing as she thought of all the things that had happened. the things that happened because of her own actions.

y/n felt an arm wrapping itself around her shoulders and her head was pushed gently towards the person's chest.

y/n relaxed in his arms as she recognised the person's scent as Jaemin's.

"Jaemin... this is all my fault. i made our toxic friendship worst. i should have just kept quiet... i shouldn't have been jealous..". y/n sobbed into Jaemin chest.

Jaemin only comforted her by patting her back gently.

Jeno got some messages from Seungmin too and was about to ask y/n about him but stopped in his tracks when he saw his cousin and his bestfriend together in the corner.

Jeno smirked and walked away slowly to not interrupt the other two.

"do you feel better now?". Jaemin asked softly as he passed y/n her iced peach tea.

y/n sniffed and nodded as she took a sip of her cold beverage.

after having a breakdown for a few minutes, Jaemin suggested to leave the event early and go to their usual cafe to soothe y/n down.

y/n agreed as she thought that it was a good idea to calm her mind down.

"yeah,, a bit. i still have to process everything. i feel guilty. i feel like this happened as the consequences of my wrong doings. i'm sorry it affected others too.....". y/n said sadly.

she looked up when she felt a warm hand grabbing hers gently.

"everyone makes mistakes. but your mistakes do not justify others' selfish acts. don't overthink things by yourself. i'm always here to support you,". Jaemin comforted.

y/n felt her shoulders relaxed as she heard his kind words.

"i really like you Jaemin,".

the words smoothly rolled out of her tongue without her realising it.

a few silent moments later, Jaemin gave a small smile as he interwined their fingers together.

"if you think i'm gonna reject your feelings , then that is never going to happen.". Jaemin replied teasingly.

y/n chuckled and rolled her eyes at his response.

"i've been trying to tell you about my feelings towards you but the timing was never right. i know the timing now may not be perfect too because, well, you practically just broke up with someone. although you don't have feelings for him, i know it hurt you.". Jaemin started his long speech.

y/n nodded slightly, encouraging Jaemin to continue.

"i don't know when it started but i felt the need to protect you. not because you're weak, no, you're indeed very strong. it's just that sometimes you carry problems by yourself and overthink alone...".

y/n almost got teary-eyed at how accurate Jaemin was describing her.

it was true that she had always been trying to keep her problems to herself. she didn't like to bother others.

"so i just want you to know that from now on, don't hesitate to come to me. to rely on me. to share your worries with me. you're never alone. like i said, i'm always here to support you.". Jaemin ended his concern about y/n with a peck on her knuckle.

y/n smiled sweetly at Jaemin and nodded her head before looking at him with admiring eyes.

"thank you Jaemin. really, thank you very much.". her feelings were too overwhlemed by his words that she only managed to thank him over and over again.

*this really is the guy who makes my heart beat thrice as fast. the guy who i can lean on..*
