Series Summary: The hunting life is never easy, especially for a kid. For someone who lives in a group home with a ton of siblings, hunting seems like a better alternative than being stuck in a prison for your entire childhood. Sam and Dean are good teachers and allow you to help when you can, but there is something about Dean that awakens something in you later in life… something you didn’t know you craved. the fact that irving canonically survives through the end of asunder to be at wynne's funeral is so fucking funny to me. nothing but love and respect for MY unstoppable cockroach morally grey machiavellian mage dad!!! he's survived in his position through multiple attempted rites of annulment and blood mage plots popping up left right and center around him. the chantry keeps trying to stamp him out but his dodge game is simply out of this world, divine. civil wars, political machinations and minefields, chantry atrocities, this wily old motherfucker is dodging and weaving his way through it all, not-quite-no-hits-taken-running-it-but-honestly-close-enough-under-the-circumstances style. if solas does succeed in tearing down the veil I would fully believe that one of the like three people still alive at the end of it all would be a very weary 90 year old first enchanter irving going 'oh this shit again huh'. the maker has cursed him for his hubris and his paperwork is never finished (affectionate, it's fine he canonically loves paperwork)

au in which touya ends up having to watch natsuo put his hands all over you because you took something offered to you at a sketchy warehouse party that has you panting and whimpering and burning up and his own hot hands can't provide you any comfort but his little brother's cool-quirked touch can

it's kinda fascinating to me how welt has been "at the end of his life" for like. several decades by now. he goes on and on about how old and weary he is and how "his job is done" and his story is over but- oh wait i just realized i can phrase this in a very funny way- he's kind of sorta immortal now because he got the herrscher core back, so he's really just stuck in the epilogue for all eternity

sleep deprived dust can't recognize what's dream and what's real when he goes in and out of consciousness so i think dust is allowed to be incredibly reckless when he's awake but thinks he's in a dream. he will kill whoever passes by him (or attempt to. for him it's an instict to shoot bones anyways.) he will drink 4 bottles of alcohol just because he thinks its just a lucid dream. have incredibly loud conversations with phantom paps because he's asleep so nobody will hear him talk. or just have loud ass breakdowns because again he thinks he's asleep!!! nobody's gonna know what he gets up to in his dreams. and until someone (probably phantom paps) tells him that he's not asleep and this is reality he won't realize until he's done something really reckless

horror is seconds away from exploding dust's skull open with his magic while dust is trying to strangle him and FINALLY phantom paps tells him he's awake and dust snaps out of it. killer is walking around the house with bones sticking out of him like pins on a sewing pattern (casually too. another day in the life for him) and he just asks dust what that was about. dust just gets off of horror and shrugs his shoulders with an idk. and then walks away. this is the 6th time its happened this month

#horror needs to find a way for him to get back at dust for almost killing him #horror IMMEDIATELY booby traps dust's room's door with several fatal traps. and then dust just teleports away to dodge them #horrors incredibly cool bone manipulation power is incredibly underrated. neither dust nor killer can do what he does #when i say people underestimate just how powerful horror is i mean this #he has MANY shows of power where he summons a shitton of bones. or when he's clever and tricky #using tiny bones so his karma can hit the guards more and kill them faster??? GENIUS #granted kist could definitely think of something like that but that doesn't mean horror's a coughing baby #ok back to my original post. i came up with this after doing my little dusttale translation thing #dust is such a fucking asshole during it all istg and i whooped and cheered every time he was a fucking dick #when he doesn't know what to do when in doubt destroy everything you see. what a guy #he'd definitely be a lot smarter than that in real situations but again #he came up with that strategy while he was under the impression that he was in a dream #so i do think this little prick can be quite an unrestrained destructive force when he doesn't know whats real or not #can i just talk more about translated dust because GODDDD he was SO FUCKING COOL IN MAD TIME SERIES I SWEAR #when he plucked floweys petals off him one by one???? and then berated him??? and the nursing home comment??????? fuck i lov him #can you please unspill the spilled blod??? sick ass line. i think he knew from the start he was gonna betray flowey in that one #god i love canon dust so much he's such a sadistic shit. and he likes it. what a freak. now that im writing this it's occuring that i don't think this was ever actually mentioned or implied in game but the idea of the service weapon following the director around has been in my head rent free for a few days

I'm not ready to shut up about Aveline and Carver--so, when you go see Aveline in Act 1, you can catch up with her a little bit and that's where this conversation can happen:

Aveline: "It's just one more change, though. The real end for me was Ostagar. What about you, Carver? You were there. Do you feel something similar?" Carver: No. Aveline: All right, then. Bit of a tit, your brother.

I wanted to see what she would say if Carver isn't in the party. Instead, she says this:

Aveline: Carver was there. I imagine he feels something similar. If he allows it.

#dragon age 2 #da2 #carver hawke #aveline vallen #she's slightly nicer to him when he's not there but she's still like 'maybe he feels something similar but probably pretends not to'#like i'm not gonna pretend that carver doesn't bottle any feelings--he doesn't openly talk about bethany a lot for a reason #but to suggest he pretends to be unfeeling about things like ostagar is incorrect like he CLEARLY feels a lot about it #because he associates the battle at ostagar with losing his home and sister to the darkspawn #after playing as a warrior hawke who is best friends with aveline i do have a little more insight into why she might think this about carve #when hawke is a warrior they were at ostagar. they share that traumatic experience with aveline and if they're friends #they discuss it in a way that i think aveline *wants* y'know? but with carver he doesn't respond the way she wants him to #so she gets frustrated since even if she tried to talk to hawke about it... hawke wasn't there. hawke doesnt KNOW what ostagar #was like but carver does... but it's like aveline is ready to assume the worst of carver a lot of the time?#like 'carver doesn't talk about it because he's a tit who pretends not to feel' is the vibe i get from this but aveline...#that's like calling you a tit because you don't want to openly discuss all your feelings about your dead husband #listen aveline and carver are so similar but they have such key differences like they both survived the horror of ostagar #and lost a loved one to darkspawn while fleeing lothering AND they both blame hawke for it to a degree #even though they both know that's not right and that it wasn't really hawke's fault #they're both stubborn warriors with daddy issues looking to find their place #and when it comes to flirting? well i don't think carver's as bad as aveline #but i played MotA i know all about 'you could tame its wild heart'#but the key differences come in how they the end the game y'know? especially if carver's on the friendship path as a warden #i still haven't made him a templar but something tells me he ends up more on the same road as aveline #vs when he's a grey warden and able to be away from kirkwall and find a place on his own #y'all i could write a whole essay on aveline and carver but i paused my game to write this so i should go back to that sksksk
