DNA Pullover
It's done!!

I love how it came out - I made SO many modifications to the fit. The sweater was written for a boxy, typically-male silhouette, and I am Not That. I shortened the arms and regraded their shaping, widened the body, and moved the shoulders in by a few inches to fit my frame.
The shoulders fit bang-on on top of my actual shoulder, which is so exciting, and the sleeve cap fit perfectly into the shoulder, too. I put a lifeline in when I knit the first shoulder cap to make sure I could rip it back out if it didn't fit, but I didn't need to!
Overall, absolutely happy with this sweater. It's super comfy, and the yarn (High Desert Worsted from KnitPicks) is suuuuper soft and cozy.

Sorry it's been a while yall! Been working on stuff, just haven't been posting. Anyway here's a phone holster I made to save some room in my pocket, my current phone is shorter than the one that's pictured so it sits a bit better than it looks.

Little friend I made using this free dinosaur pattern. Little lopsided since I’m not used to large-ish stuffed animals that require sewing but it adds to the charm I think.

Knitting FO: Deborah Cardigan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ravelry Page.
Pattern: Robinson Cardigan by Florence Miller (Handmade by Florence)
Yarn: Drops Flora and Kid-Silk Mohair, held together.
Inspired by: a cardigan worn by Yoo In-Na on Bo Ra! Deborah / True to Love, Episode 3.
Good things:
It's done!
It was supposed to have more positive ease but whatever, I like it
The ribbons are very fluffy, more than I expected but I've decided to consider them a dramatic statement. Since they are so long I'll be able to make various kinds of bows with them :)
In hindsight:
Just do double-knit edges instead of i-cord.
I should have tried it on with the jeans I planned to wear it with before I started the ribbing, so I could so I could check the length.
I wanted the neck to be sloped in 2 different directions like in the original cardigan, but I messed up with the decreases. In the future, I could try to add a button to try and recreate the little angle, but we'll see.
As I said, it was meant to have more positive ease. I planned to knit a size up to achieve that and then I... didn't? Why??
The future
I have so much black yarn left, I only used 1.5 balls out of 5. I have no idea what to do with it as I don't want to make a sweater/cardigan/hat/scarf. I was thinking a pair of gloves but that won't use much yarn.
I want to take a break from garment making. With my pace it's clear that I need something like 6 months to complete a sweater-like piece and I have to make some winter accessories by September, since I'll be moving to a very cold country.
So onto accessories!
My next project will be completing the Stoïque sock I'm working on (almost done with the heel) and then I'll start a hat with some v expensive yarn I bought in February. Then I'll tackle my first gloves and by that time, it should be September.

I made my second Tav of way too many at this point and took her to the park for a photoshoot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Chiara, my tiefling ranger. She doesn't have pupils because I did the face up like three times and every time I just didn't like how the pupils looked so she just doesn't have any. Makes the bright green eyes pop.
I kind of went a little nuts with the accessories this time. Since I made a quarterstaff for Theia I thought it was only right to give Chiara a bow, but then I was in joann fabric one day and I came across these adorable little mushrooms that were the exact same shape as the rogue's morsels! So I bought a pack, painted them, and then modified a monster high backpack to put them in.
and since there's three of them that's enough to make an extract for a potion of healing.
I don't always have an ideal spot to do a photoshoot but I figured i had a chance just this once.

Just put the finishing touches on my first linen stitch blanket, a.k.a the Starry Mountain Mist Blanket, themed after all those good, clear sodas!
This one will be going away since I’m already up to my neck in blanket WIPs that I’ll be definitely keeping. Still, food was a really good way to get used to a new stitch that I’m totally in love with!

Finally finished!
I'm really proud of Dimitri, but I'm not 100% sold on Byleth. Oh well. Hopefully they'll serve their purpose and make someone very happy.
