He better be looking at it like a snack because he wants to eat it and NOT ROCKING IT LOVINGLY TO SLEEP LIKE A FATHER FIGURE. EVEN IN FOX FORM THIS BITCH CANT ESCAPE DAD ROLES.
I'd like to formally put out there that I'm okay with the plotline of Wild Robot being "this robot defies her originally-intended programming" if her originally-intended programming was morally bad, and it's something from the outside of the Robot that enables it to change.
Because that's what Chris Sanders did with Stitch. And Stitch is a really awesome, if probably-accidental, picture of the Gospel.
It's okay to say "this character that was created by an imperfect mortal had a bad function and purpose but can be transformed to a new creation by love from the outside." It would be less-okay to say "this character that was created by a benevolent creator with a good function decides, on its own, that it doesn't want to do that good thing and wants to be the god of it's own life and master of its own destiny—and the creator fades into obscurity."
We're looking for Lilo & Stitch vibes. Not Barbie vibes. I can't wait; Chris Sanders hasn't let me down yet.
As a fox fanatic I couldn't be more thrilled that he is voicing Fink the Fox! Pedro Pascal in The Wild Robot. Also can't wait to see what we get from Chris Sanders. I love Stitch.
Also I have a new blog for Gif updates if you wish to follow it and turn on notifications so you only get notified of my gif posts. I still plan on posting everything here, but that blog will be useful if you want to be notified when I post a new gif.
