if the main cast of yazeba’s were animals, what animals would they be? and alongside that, what animals would they *want* to be?

oh amazing question ok ok, these answers are all for where the characters start out at the start of the book and i think they'd change over time

Gertrude: wants to be a chameleon (i don't know, whatever lets me hide), would actually be a racoon because they're crafty and adventurous

Hey Kid: wants to be a dog (or a cat! or a cool bird! or—), would be a chimpanzee because theyre expressive and mischevious. if hey kid knew more about chimps they'd wanna be one also

Sal: wants to be a panda (they seem like they're having a chill time), would be a bird of paradise on account of his talents performing, which would outstrip his desire to snooze

Parish: wants to be a boar (brave warriors of the forest! the knights of the woodland beasts), would be a frog for boring and sad reasons.

Amelie: wants to be a cat (upon consulting my records, i believe a cat would most efficiently allow me to continue my duties), would be a cat because cats can be disobedient and mischievous but they also help the house

Moon Prince: wants to be a rabbit (they're fast and good at keeping themselves safe!), would be a ferret because ferrets are good pets and loyal friends, but also kinda weasely and crafty

Yazeba: wants to be a vulture (and i'll turn you into one too if you keep asking me stupid questions!), would actually be a rat because rats are social animals with caring souls and a bad reputation

Today for Mermay I'll be mermifying the first box art for DOOM, which I believe was suggested by @finndnot. There's now two days left for this event, and I don't have anything for either of those days; so if there's a famous image you want to see me mermify, please suggest it. (The main criteria are that it needs to have at least one humanoid figure in it, I need to recognize it on sight, and it can't be by the same artist as anything I've already done this month.)

Here's the first roughest sketch. I made a conscious decision that I'm not going to include the text, because drawing out letters is annoying for me to do, plus I'd have to figure out how E and R would look in that font (because of course, if included, the text would say MERM instead of DOOM).

I’ve recently started a wanderhome game and I’m playing a wandering teacher who teaches household magics, and I was wondering what that meant, since most of the examples I can find online are from a very specific book I don’t interact with...

Me and my friends have been loving playing it so far but I just like knowing the specifics of some things, or at least what you see household magic as!

so i wanna answer this while being clear that there isn't any particular set answer to what many of the prompts mean in Wanderhome, and that the answer i'm giving is my personal "headcanon" (or like ... this is my interpretation as someone who wrote the book, but if you interpret it differently that's totally fine)

BUT with that said, household magic to me is about small spells that keep things organized and assist with daily living — nonstick pans, dancing brooms, healthy herb gardens, rain-resistant paints, all of that would fall under some form of household magic imo

Hi! Sorry for the bother with something that isn’t a question but. Oh my god. Seven part pact is so good! It feels so strange and story driven but with mechanics and it’s just so intriguing! The different aspects being used for spells and making a wizard feels so engaging. I really hope to see more of it! Thank you so much!

thank you!!! that really means a lot — it currently being in playtest means theres a lot thats very volatile at any particular moment but the weird weird core is some of my favorite stuff about it, im so glad you like it!

Today’s DEJ pose is a two-character one, because of course they weren’t going to close out on anything easy. I genuinely don’t know what the figures are doing there; I think it’s sparring, but it might be dancing, I don’t know. You can check the AdorkaStock site to see the reference photo, get a better idea of what it is.

Today's DEJ pose is a low-angle shot; it's a pretty neutral position, but due to the angle and the impressive footwear the model is wearing, I'd suggest it for either a) a character who likewise wears very impressive platform-high-heels (or whatever they're called), or b) is digitigrade (aka furry-style legs).
