hi hi hi omgggg i am so excited and glad that you asked this!!! apologies for responding so late btw; i’m currently visiting canada so i’ve been fairly busy with my family. but i have down time rn and i’ve been thinking about my answers a bit over the last couple of days, so here they are!

also disclaimer: i’m soooo bad at picking favorite episodes because in all honesty plot lines blend together for me and sometimes i forget which specific episodes stand out to me especially since it’s been over a year since i’ve rewatched this show (i need to do it again soon i know) so a lot of this is based off the episodes i find myself returning to over and over and over again

1x06 - FZZT: this episode……this episode!!!! i contemplated for a while whether this deserved the top spot and honestly idk why i was doubting it before. a lot of people say you just have to make it to the end of the season with the whole hydra reveal to get hooked on aos but this is the episode that got me. plus it’s such an important early fitzsimmons episode and you know how much i love them!! very quotable i can rattle off half their conversations i’m agent grant ward and i can shoot the legs off a flee from 500 yards as long as it’s not windy etc etc etc

4x15 - self control: ummmm single-handedly gave me trust issues and the ability to toss flip stab on cue with lmd fitz (also that skimmons hug is to die for)

6x06 - inescapable: to no one’s surprise, another fitzsimmons episode makes the top three! this one is just so rewatchable i’ve seen it so many times there is so much to unpack

1x17 - turn, turn, turn: i don’t feel like i have to speak on this much because lives were changed all around

7x09 - as i have always been: time loop!!!! and craziness!!!! and enoch????????? </3

5x05 - rewind: apologies i’m just obsessed with fitz so

7x13 - what we’re fighting for: who would i be if i didn’t put this masterpiece of a series finale on the list like let shows end on their own terms all the time so that they can have as spectacular of a conclusion as agents of shield

It's been over a week now since the AOS finale and I still haven't had the heart to rewatch it, so I'm just gonna share with you my opinions from that night (I wrote most of this the next day, just haven't posted yet lol)

It was next level excellent, overall, but I have A LOT to say, this is gonna be long

YES TO EVERYTHING DANIEL RELATED!!! The thing I loved the most was that they made him so useful, he wasn't just helping Daisy or doing whatever people told him to do, he actually had a great idea and executed it with Mack’s total support. He went to action and it gave me LIFE!

Another thing that gave me life was the philindaisy moment at the bar. I’m a sucker for them. When Daisy got there and hugged Coulson I was AAAAAAA and then she went to hug May and you see her stop, like, “oops, should I?” AND THEN MAY HUGS HER HERSELF!! Now, you can argue that May is an empath and felt Daisy’s emotions at that moment, but lemme tell y’all THAT WAS NOT JUST DAISY’S FEELINGS, THAT WAS MELINDA MAY'S GENUINE HAPPINESS FROM SEEING THAT HER DAUGHTER MADE IT BACK SAFELY!!! Try to convince otherwise and fail miserably. My family is just perfect like that.

The Fitzsimmons reunion scene I WAS SOBBING from the moment she realised the key was her ring!!! AND THEN FITZ JUST xkskdxkkm COMES BACK LIKE THAT kxsmkdsms I CAN’T djkskdsjsms I WILL NEVER EVER GET OVER THAT!!! That whole thing was genius, honestly. They were truly able to take a hard situation in which an important actor wouldn’t be able to be there for most of the season and used it amazingly to their advantage. And then Fitz HELPED HER REMEMBER BY TELLING THOSE STORIES = MORE TEARS. That whole scene was beautiful. AND WHEN SHE REMEMBERS ALYA OH MY GOD by that point I was screaming. Btw, I love how they chose their daughter’s name, it’s beautiful and has an even more beautiful meaning for them <3

Since I’m already talking about Fitzsimmons I’m just gonna go ahead and say that their ending was so well deserved. They suffered a lot, literally every season some shit would happen to them. I’m so glad they got their happy ending and are right now living their best life as a family <3 fitzsimmons family = everything to me. (are there any Fringe stans in here????? Did y’all notice that parallel at the end? If not, let me explain: aos: jemma sitting on the grass seeing fitz and alya playing together and smiling. Fringe: olivia sitting on the grass seeing peter and etta playing together and smiling. BOTH ON THE LAST EPISODE!! And both episodes were number 13. This is too much for my heart.)

About Deke: I really love that he was the one to “sacrifice” himself for the team. I’m not really a fan of Deke, but I was glad that he did what he always wanted, in a way; Contribute significantly to the team and be acknowledged as part of said team. It felt to me that by doing that he was doing what he often tried, but no one ever really took him seriously enough to allow him to do. I think he was selfless and then ended up finding his true place, after all. Nicely done, if you ask me.

On that note, and shifting back to Daniel once more: when he said he was gonna be the one to stay behind I was like “NO YOU’RE NOT! Don’t even think about it. You, buddy, are going with Daisy.” What was he thinking? (I know what, and I know it was brave and selfless of him, but just let me have my moment, okay?) 

Now the answer to ending the war was empathy?????????? GENIUS!!! Mojed, you went beyond terrific there. I love everything evolving May in that part of the finale, how she dropped from the ceiling calling herself The Calvary (talk about character development!!!) to philinda fighting together and exchanging looks, to her saving the freaking world with her empath abilities!!!! I have some serious goosies just remembering. 

Something else that was just genius to me was that they were the ones at the temple, THEY CARRIED MAY OUT OF THERE, I did NOT see that coming. WHAT?! 

OH! And what about what Piper asked for??? She asked for Davis!! That’s adorable! That had me crying too, I love their friendship.

Now Kora. I was a little bothered about how fast things happened for her and Daisy on the sister bonding thing. Like, don’t get me wrong, I like that her and Daisy ended up working on the same team for SHIELD and that they were in a good place in their relationship, but what I’m saying is that Kora hated Daisy’s guts on one scene and Daisy had literally said a couple episodes ago that she did have a sister, but it was Jemma, and then Daisy died, and I liked that Kora saved her, is just that I got a vibe off of them in that scene that seemed like they had the best kind of sister bond for ages. Was that just me? Maybe, but hey ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

That’s not really a problem, I'm just saying.

Btw, when Daisy died for, like, two seconds, I was out of my mind!!!! I couldn’t even scream, I just froze in place. Thank God or whomever that she was brought back to life. I wouldn't be able to continue without my baby.

Now back to philinda and probably the only "complaint" I have: Let us agree, despite wanting them to be together in the end, there was very little chance of that really happening, right? Because he’s a robot now. But I did have a lot of hope, those episodes >>gave me<< a lot of hope. Y’know, in episode 12 they had that moment talking in the hallway, the explosion happened, he protected Melinda... I was like, “that’s my couple right there, you guys”. Then at the fighting scene they exchanged some looks at the end that really left me “it’s coming, people. Their happy ending.” It didn’t come. I took another blow to the face. A blow that was expected, yes, but a blow nonetheless. 

I wasn’t all that excited about Coulson’s ending at first, you know, him just traveling the world, but I understand what they did and why. He’s still getting used to his new self and rediscovering his life, so it makes sense that he would need time to do that. That last scene with Lola was simply EVERYTHING TO ME tho!!!! 

But May’s ending… the thing is, I had a lot of expectations for how she would end up. Throughout the seasons something that was very clear to me was her desire to be a mother and I know that she built that relationship with the youngest agents on the team, but I kinda expected, aside from philinda endgame, more of that. But my biggest problem here isn’t even that, is that I really, REALLY don’t see Melinda May giving lectures????? Melinda May? The woman who now calls herself The Calvary, teaching theory or history or whatever???? I’m not saying she can’t, I’m just saying I never thought of that as a possibility for her, it sounds more like a Coulson thing to me. But then again, that’s all they showed us from her life. They gave us very little details about how she (and everyone else, honestly) is living and I think in a way I like that because it lets us imagine whatever we want. So she could very easily just be there at the academy for one lecture, she could be training (physically?) new agents instead? IDK. Also, Flint was there, they could have built a relationship. Mentor\mentee like hers with Daisy at first or even mother\son? I’d like that. I like the “found family” thing. 

I have two ideas of fanfiction out of the finale. The first one is a Dousy that I had already thought of and completely fits with one thing that Daisy said, and the other is basically a Philinda fix it because, well, I want to. I'm very lazy when it comes to my writing, but I really wanna do these two, let's see how that turns out.

Pairings: Bucky x Reader

Summary: As a SHIELD agent your work alongside the Avengers means you and Bucky start to get to know each other but then one day you are ordered to go under cover away from him. When the mission goes wrong, the Avengers are called in for a rescue.

A/N:  I know where I want to go with this, but it’s also starting to take on a life of its own. As always, your support and passion for this is humbling - you’re all amazing, thank you :) (btw, the Karate Kid bit came to me whilst Glory of Love was playing on the radio at work - so I’ve built myself a sound track to work to. Keep that song in mind this chapter).

You and Bucky sparred for the best part of three hours, neither of you seeming to really tire. At first you were unsteady, your newfound strength throwing you off balance more often than not. But Bucky was patient and eventually you managed to hold your own, then land a few blows. 

“I think I’m getting the hang of this,” you said, rocking back and forth on your heels as you stretched in readiness for round 32. “You’ve taught me well, Mr Miyagi.”

“Mister who?” Bucky asked, confused. You dropped your hands to your sides and stared at him in disbelief.

“Mister Miyagi! You know, Karate Kid? Wax on, wax off Daniel-san?” Bucky shook his head. “Where the hell have you been the past thirty years? Wait... don’t answer that,” you said as Bucky opened his mouth. He closed it again with a shrug. “Right, when we’re done here we are educating you old man.”

“Hey, less of the old!” Bucky laughed as you swung for him and he dodged. 

Finally, after one particularly long bout, you felt the strength surge in your legs as you launched at Bucky, wrapping your legs around his neck as you flipped him over, onto his back. Without hesitating, you straddled him and pinned his arms down, using the power of your legs to pin his own together, fully immobilising him.

“I think FitzSimmons made some tweaks to the serum,” Bucky croaked, struggling to get his breath back as you had winded him quite badly. 

“Shit, sorry!” you said, meaning it as you let go of his arms. You made to get up but, hands now freed, Bucky grabbed your waist, holding you in position.

“Not so fast.” His voice was light, but his eyes were serious. “We still need to talk, doll.”

“About?” you asked, cocking your head to one side as you feigned innocence. 

“You know what about.” He was completely serious now. You scrunched up your nose and pretended to think for a moment before coming to a dramatic realisation.

“Oh yes! About how you professed your love to me! I remember now.” 

“Hey now,” he chided softly, a warm smile playing on his lips. “I didn’t say love, exactly.”

“Close enough...” you said, leaning closer to him. The smile faded as your face neared his.

“And do you...?” he breathed, you could hear the nervous question in his voice.

“Close enough,” you whispered as your lips lightly touched his. You didn’t really know how long you had wanted him for, but the moment you kissed it felt like something clicked. Like all along you had been drinking water and suddenly got your first taste of wine. 

Your hands went to the mat on either side of his face, fingers splayed to hold yourself up. His hands travelled from your waist and up onto your back, snaking under your shirt and leaving a trail of fire on the skin beneath as the kiss deepened, turning from something tender into something needful and hungry. You bit his bottom lip softly and heard him groan. He moved to flip you onto your back but you held firm, pinning him in place which seemed to make him even more desperate. His tongue teased the soft skin of your bottom lip, asking for permission, but you pulled away. Bucky groaned as the cold air touched his swollen lips without you there and he tried to pull you back in, but you gently removed his hands from your back and stood, ignoring the burning protests of your own body to keep going.

“Not here,” was all you could manage for a moment. “Not now.” You reached down and offered him your hand, pulling him to his feet when he took it. He snaked his arms around you and drew you into him, stealing another sweet, slight kiss. 

“Cruel,” he whispered as you untangled yourself and stepped back out of reach. You shrugged.

“Practical. Someone could walk in at any moment. Besides, we could both do with a shower.” You saw his eyes twinkle mischievously. “Separate showers, Barnes,” you said firmly, trying to hide a smile as his shoulders drooped. “There’ll be plenty of time for anything else later.”

“Promise?” You threw his towel at him and he caught it deftly, wiping away the sheen of sweat that you weren’t entirely convinced was just from the sparring. 

“Promise,” you smiled. “Now come on Bucky-san, we have a film to watch.”

Bucky ran a hand through his damp hair as you walked out of the room, making no attempt to hide the fact that he was watching every inch of your movements, taking you all in.

“Damn,” he muttered under his breath. “She’ll be the death of me.” You turned to look at him with a smile as you held the door open waiting for him to catch up.

I think the 100th is Coulson’s ep because after all we only have Agents of SHIELD because of him, so it makes sense that Philinda get together in the ep. Also, their ship has been sailing for quite some time. A ship doesn’t start sailing after they get together btw. Fitzsimmons is already at the shore. the 100th probably takes place within a few days from 5x10. Sorry I’m not trying to be pessimistic but I just don’t want you making everyone have high expectations and you all be disappointed :P

I will always absolutely encourage fans to manage their expectations.  I have a unique place in the fandom that I take very seriously.  I put a lot of time and effort into the ask responses and theories do my best to be careful.

Just because I have personally chosen to go for broke and get really excited about what could come with the 100th doesn’t mean everyone should follow.   Its a personal choice I made and I accept that there could be ‘consequences’ in the form of my theories not coming true.  I honestly don’t think I can be disappointed by the 100th.   For example, if there isn’t a Fitzsimmons wedding I’m not going to freak out, I’m going to enjoy whatever the writers have chosen to give on that front.  

I’ve been getting asks about the 100th since hiatus.  My theories haven’t changed all that much based on the information that has come out.  THIS POST was from January 25th.  At that time my list was….

Coulson, May, and Daisy have a big ‘family’ kind of moment.  The bond between them, especially Coulson and Daisy has been building for 5 seasons.

Daisy has a super iconic Quake Comic Hero kind of moment and/or officially becomes Director of Shield.

If she leaves the future without the Inhibitor turned off/out this could be when she gets her powers back or reclaims them in an epic way. 

UPDATE 3/1 I don’t think she’ll be getting her powers back quite yet.

Something to do with Tahiti, GH-325, or Gravitionium shows back up in a big way.

UPDATE 3/1 This one has been confirmed via spoilers and the Press Release but is now plural…yay!

Deke has a big reveal but its in the “It’s ALL connected vein”

Fitzsimmons have a major moment be it engagement, wedding, or something else (baby bomb kind of thing).

It’s All Connected gets taken to a crazy level and things from past seasons come back in a big way.

Coulson’s deal with the Rider being revealed is a major piece of the 100th.  As it should be, its going to drive a lot of what is still to come.   That is the one thing they are not hiding at all….and often with AOS its not what they are giving you that is what is going to get you…it’s what they have hiding behind the curtain.  

I fully expect what brought him back to life to come into play too.

Coulson is absolutely crucial to the overall story as he’s the only one that can bring the pieces together, my bet is he was one of the things they were missing in past loops that made them fail.  I also see him as being in the most danger as his fate in the loops is completely unknown and Loop Elena said “you have to let him die”.

Everyone is going to get a chance to shine for the 100th as they pay tribute to the shows mythology, characters (all of them), and history.  They are all a part of something greater.   

I have never said that if there is a Fitzsimmons wedding that it would dominate the episode, in fact I’ve said not to expect Say Yes to The Dress AOS edition and theorized its going to be unexpected in how it plays out and one of many insane things that happen in the episode.  

I personally took the coming to shore as Fitzsimmons wedding, that was my read on the quote and other things I’ve read and seen over the past few months.  Just as your read on it looks to be Philinda get together.  I have a different take on where Philinda is relationship wise.  It’s just one of those things we have to agree to disagree on.  If I am reading it wrong and they get together, I’ll own it.  I do think Philinda has some sort of moment, I”m just not sure what that looks like right now and hopefully have a better read once I see 11 and how things shake out back on earth.

Just as you cautioned me not to overstep and get the fandoms expectations up too high about a possible Fitzsimmons wedding I will also ask that you do the same when it comes to Philinda becoming canon.  

If anyone feels I am going too far and getting their expectations up too high about things, if there is a theory I am working that they will be devastated that it doesn’t come true, they can block or unfollow me.  I totally understand if someone has too.  I never say I am 100% on anything, not after last season, and I own that I have been wrong before and will be again.  I do the theories, predictions, and ask responses for fun…I win some I lose some.  In the end, this is my blog and I want to be excited about the 100th or a particular theory, my posts will reflect that.
