I am super new to the Black Sails Fandom, so I don't know if this has been brought up before, but what if we actually already know John Silvers story and didn't know it.

What if John Silver is actually Jim Hawkins.

This is how we met him.

What if Jim Hawkins origin story is his origin story. He lived and worked at his family's inn, he got to a point in his life where he wanted more and got on the first boat setting sail.

Look at this guy, look at his face, his easy smile. You can hear a whole lot of stories in an inn. You can also be keen on making up stories to keep from being bored. It's obvious that John was adept at taking in information and inserting himself into the narrative. If he is actually Jim Hawkins, he has been doing it most of his life.

Look at him, he is used to sneaking around corners and eavesdropping and stuff.

What if he wrote Treasure Island later in life as a why to finally tell his story, since he couldn't bring himself to reveal his truth in his pirate heyday?

girl how did john silver literally waltz his way into flint's heart like it was nothing. literally we might be friends by then. i am never not going insane about them and how completely totally in love with him flint was by the end of the show. devastatingly so.

Flint & Silver totally kissed, at least twice. Once somewhere between the end of S2 and when they landed on Madi’s island in S3. They were both grieving (Miranda, Silvers leg, depending on exactly when Muldoon) and stressed the hell out. It was a heat of the moment thing while arguing in the captain’s quarters. They got interrupted and they never spoke of it again.

Second time was at the end of the last episode before Flint got shipped off to the farm upstate

rewatching black sails s2 and so far just on episode 2 im dying at the fact that flints flashbacks of how he grew to know and love thomas/miranda tend to occur when he's bonding with silver and they seem to be very connected... right after silver saved his life multiple times and proved himself to him..... that has to be intentional...
