Costume redesign???

1.- Star Trek Vibes Moodboard

Moodboard for a school fashion project that turned out o be way funnier than I expected, the project was supposed to be to come up with a fashion outfit based on smth we liked. I chose star trek. The thing with the moodboard was about choosing places (exterior and interiors), textures, makeup, accesories, a color palette (i need to work on this xd), the kind of clothes, etc. Oh, and we had to invent our own brand! Mine’s Star Dog

2.-Star Trek Fashion outfit

I chose Star Trek to make a fashion outfit. Nonetheless, slowly my brain shifted the project to: what would I do if I were to design the costumes of a new series? So yeah, that began to happen…

3.-StarFleet Costume concepts

Up till this point, we’re good. I based off this designs in the AOS ST Beyond movie costumes and the Enterpise’s uniforms in Discovery. I like the formal and solid vibes they have, besides the minimal and very elegant touches. I loved the forms, and wanted to do smth similar with some variations

4.-Robe model & specifications

As part of the project, we had to make the specifications of the pieces we’re designing. Here’s one example of it. At some point, the “let’s do costume redisgn”, turned into “If I had to actually design uniforms for Starfleet, how would that have to be?” I made another spec sheet on the trousers, but meh. Not that needed here.

5.-Starfleet uniforms fabric concept

Part of the project was to make an actual specification sheet that we were to hypotetically send to the confection industry. This visual is not it. The thing is that one of the points of this spec shit was to talk about the kind of fabric it was. So, with my brain shifted to “designing for the XXIIIth century” I began to make my own concepts of fabric suitable for Starfleet missions. And then my sis brought me back to earth asking me about the fashion project xd

6.-Star Trek basics!

Just as an extra, I made an isometric of the basic stuff you gotta bring to your space mission. I like how it turned out. Didn’t think it would turn out at all. funny thing is that I found a phaser easier to draw than the boots,,, I copied the cool tech thingies of the Discovery designs. Everything is just so confusing……

7.- Extra extras d-:

Idk if you noticed, but at some point I changed from AOS Kirk to TOS Kirk, jb I wanted to see how he would look like. And I love both of them dearly.
