Hell, Smiler not only managed to ring up Geoffrey Landgraab for a box of tomato sauce, they even got some money advice in the bargain (judging by the Focused moodlet they had after the interaction)! And the hits just kept on coming --

Alice finished up her workout in time to ring up Emilia Ernest, Victor’s dueling partner from the last episode, for a box of cheese (because even if she can't greet customers, she can apparently finalize sales – logic!), then – after a bathroom break – went out to have some zoomies as the Fury was starting to get a little high from her being cooped up in the break room all this time. She then returned and plopped down by one of the planters for a nap, only to be chased back inside the break room by the rain. Can't have wet werewolves stinking up the joint!

Victor sold some Playful scent to Lily Feng and a box of vegetarian MREs to Ukupanpio (one of the Sulani mermaids) before his growling stomach forced him to take a quick break, grabbing Cameron’s abandoned microwave pastry (which wasn’t great but at least filled him up), before returning to sell a Purple Parallel flower arrangement to Annette. Which I was frankly glad to see, as the flower arrangements did NOT seem to be garnering a lot of customer interest before. Come on, guys, we have so many flowers...

And Smiler, of course, was the selling MVP, ringing up Cameron Fletcher for a box of mayonnaise; Venessa for an Energizing scent; Penny for box of meat substitute; and Nalani for a box of veggie MREs! All while managing to ignore the fact that Judith Ward was visiting and the paparazzi were taking pictures of her in the bathroom. XD At least now I’m sure customers can use it! We also had Yuki yank a quill fruit out of one of the produce fridges, though the game really wasn’t fond of her doing that, spitting out an LE. I’m not sure my game likes some of Brazen Lotus’s mods, unfortunately...might need to consider a mod folder clean-up in the future...

-->Anyway – by this point, it was getting a bit late in the day, and everyone’s enthusiasm for the store was flagging. Victor took some time to magically clean the produce stands and the bathroom sink before going for a nap on the break room sofa, while Alice similarly did a little more working out, licked herself clean, then curled up on the break room floor for a snooze of her own (as her werewolf instincts were demanding another one). Smiler was still keen to talk to people, but as it was getting to be about 6:30 PM in-game, I figured it was about time they closed up and had them do just that. Final totals of the day – eleven items sold, for a total profit of $4,932! Not too shabby. AND it wasn’t quite as laggy – the game still had a nasty habit of pausing when customers grabbed items or when someone was trying to clean up out-of-stock signs, but it wasn’t NEARLY as bad as it was the last time I played the store. Seems like having less for sale did actually help in that regard, yay! :) Anyway, I was all ready to pack it up and send the trio home –

Can I just say how much I adore your Grimm design? The more muscular torso in contrast to his slim figure in the game is incredibly intimidating on its own, but the added horror that is his cape makes him terrifying. I particularly love how you draw his mouth. The inclusion of his fangs and the way his face is structured makes him snakelike, especially with his scaly torso texture. He is certainly something bugs would see in their nightmares. Bravo.

The fact that he’s dating a puppy-eyed, round-bellied, therapy-needing shrimp beast makes him even better.

aaah thank you! it means so much to hear this!! i'm personally very happy with his design so i'm glad to see that people like it!

i will admit that the shapes i chose for him were purely self-indulgent. my brain goes crazy for top heavy characters, it's such an aesthetically pleasing silhouette design for me and i think it fits him very nicely, even if it kind of flips his body shape upside down compared to the canon (he's a lot more bottom heavy there). also, i think it's quite obvious by now that i miiiiiight have a lil crush on him haha. not in the usual sense (aroace here after all) but man his design is just so attractive on an aesthetic level to me, i'm obsessed with him. and judging by some of the comments i get under my art of him, it seems to be contagious. so it's a double win in my eyes hahahah

the cloak was a late addition, i struggled with it for a while. if you look at the older art i made of him, there was nothing really unusual about it. it went from a doctor strange like cape (the oldest design, i don't really like it now but i think it looked kinda cool at the time) to something closer to his in game sprites. the biggest change at that point was the addition of the fluffy collar, mainly because i thought it fit him but also because it was less frustrating to draw than those damn collar noodles/petals. i didn't get the doc ock idea until very recently, but it started as something i had in mind for nightmare king as opposed to just grimm. then i decided that screw it, he's a god even in his physical form. he can have a wacky tentacle cloak as a treat. rule of cool and all that. very happy that i went with that in the end, it really gives him that oomph. as a bonus, the way it behaves (splitting, twirling around, forming into sharp spikes) was inspired by the recent spider-man 2 gameplay reveal, and by extension venom in general

the head was also a somewhat recent change, i did stick to a more canon-like round headshape for a while, but i found it to look too pug-like, especially in ship art with fpk. so i returned to my grimm design roots and gave him a longer snout like on the very first design (long snout = more kisses >:) ). very happy with how snake like it ended up looking. i loved the idea of him having vampire like fangs (LOVE vampires. they're like, the coolest. and the sexiest) so the snake appearance was a coincidence, but i am so glad it happened. and like you said, it makes him look even more like a creature from nightmares

and yes, love me a good contrast in a ship. a big beefy vampire that oozes confidence and charisma, and a sad little lizard shaped like a sack of potatoes? yeah they're perfect for each other in my eyes. big "extrovert adopts an introvert" energy there, plus visually they just look really cool together i think. the height difference and the contrast in appearances really add a lot to how dynamic they are as a ship imo

but yeah thank you so much for this again! i went on a bit of a tangent there but it's because it makes me so incredibly happy when people say they enjoy my designs. i try my best to make the au versions of the character "my own" if that makes sense, so it really means a lot to hear positive feedback!

Like people say that twins have a special connection with each other; makes me want a twin as well :’) I’ve got an older sister who excels at playing the piano and whenever she plays after me I melt on the ground due to how good and effortless she sounds before the piano ahaha (she was the prodigy child fr)

Dwdw I’m taking care of myself :D (you too!) I’m limiting my practice time so that I don’t overwork too much. On that note, it is so annoying when your fingers press down on the piano and the sound is soft 😭 especially in beethoven’s pieces when it’s fast and very loud fortissimo 💀 + having hands smaller than even the average pianist makes piano more of a struggleeee but it’s worth it hehe. Speaking of which, electric organ sounds so cool! Are you planning to learn Bach’s toccata and fugue in d minor :D

It must be fun! For some people, ar least. My cousins are twins, but they don't get along very well. But hey, I super imagine being a twin and being like Theo and Vincent, even though they're not twins (or like Beel and Belphie, if you play Obey Me!). All I wanted was someone who could play with me when I was a kid :') But I'm kinda glad I'm an only child now, hahaha.

I hate it when I try to play something on the piano and my pinky finger just decide it doesn’t want to make any effort 😂 HAHAHAH. It's much easier when it's electronic. But I need to coordinate my feet, with the volume pedal and the pedalboard (is that the right name in english?). I don't study much classic musics, just some lessons are based on some pieces, but I'd love to. I just feel I'm still a beginner, I need more practice first

Ooooh, a reader that has Mozart as a brother and Arthur as a boyfriend, poor Mozart D I E S when he finds out his precious sibling is dating the scoundrel (he actually calls Arthur that, and I laugh everytime). So they try to set him up with someone, so he stops glaring at Arthur. Mozart also sees them sitting in the couch and just go sit there too, right in the middle just to make them stop hugging. Then he smiles at his sibling like nothing happened, completely ignoring Arthur's presence. Yeah, they certainly need to find someone for Mozart! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

i've had this vampire oc for a long time, since the middle of 2020 almost. they really are a projection of me in every way, or i guess a projection of me in my most idealized self. now because i'm part of the mogai community, and because i think neopronouns and microlabels are really neat, i'm going to gift one of my favorite ocs some of my favorites. we'll start off with vam/vamp, then fang/fang, and then it/its, and finally hell/hell. and so..... meet Indiana!

I have this vampire OC I made awhile back, vamps name is Indiana. I made vamp when I was still battling with my gender the very first time, and I feel like I made vamp as a form of trying things on. Vam's my favorite OC of all time, because vam holds an extremely special place in my heart.

Indiana has been through a lot. Fang's been in a LARP before, and fang was in a few different stories I've written. I've also cosplayed fang once, and I really want to again because I felt really comfortable in fang. I can't wait to do more with fangs backstory and character arc, fang's going to be so much fun!

I love the fact that Indiana is flexible, that means I could put it anywhere in a story and it would fit almost perfectly. With just a few tweaks it can make a story better just by being there. In its current (unbeted) backstory that I wrote about it, it doesn't have many friends except for an older vampire. It kinda forced its friendship on the older vampire, due to it being an extrovert and the other vampire being heavily an introvert.

Indiana has a lot of nuance that I love exploring, because while hell's a good person, hell isn't exactly... A hero. More so, hell's a bit of a 'vigilante' with no bias whatsoever. Hell also has a few opinions that could definitely get hell in trouble. But hell stands hells ground, and speaks up for hellself when needed. Hell defends those around hell that hell feels have been mistreated or otherwise wronged, and even though hell doesn't have many friends, hell's got plenty of grateful allies. Of course, hell doesn't just go around saving people, but.... If situations call for it, hell won't hesitate.

I remember making vamp with the intention of creating a Halloween costume, but fang became much more than that. It basically said "Nope, you're going to love me now" and just like that I became attached to hell. Putting together vamps cosplay that Halloween was so much fun. I had contacts that made my eyes look like they only had pupils, and it was so spooky that I added it to fangs character. I remember when I was done with hells makeup, I felt like Indiana itself. That Halloween was so much fun, and I'm so glad I've gotten to 'know' Indiana as well as I have!!
