And when our souls collide you love me the same as i love you

Smt from the og sun/moon au that was on my drafts for a while: one month before the tournament, one night, afonso takes Luciano to a forest where from the distance he could see the sky arena. He then asks the god

"if I win, I can wish for anything in return?"

"confident aren't you?" Afonso chuckles

Afonso is taken back by such wish, he sighs "that doesn't sound like a good wish. Being bonded to a old god like me"

"that's my only wish!" He insists. Afonso smiles weakly, still insisting he would change his mind.

The tournament comes, but no matter how valiant he fights, Luciano loses. He bleeds and stagger still on his feet. The sun champion waits for a final attempt of attack but instead Luciano raises his fist to the sky, his eyes staring at the moon god that watches in horror his pupil being slaughtered

"Gloria...lunae" it's what he mutters before the sun champion ends his life

The moon god rushed to the arena, ignoring the shouting and screaming, he took the dead body into his arms and vanished to his temple.

Inside, he placed his pupil inside the pool, the water staining with his blood. He was mad with grief and he knew what he was about to do was forbiden. It was a crime against the heavens and nature.

He didn't care. He couldn't lose him. He couldn't lose the only person who ever loved him back.

So he pulled the power of a star, the one closest to the moon in the night sky, and he pushed it inside Luciano's chest.

The body of his pupil began to shine, his wounds healed and, finally his chest began to rise and fall again as he breathed.

Afonso smiled and caressed his pupil's face, before colapsing next to him in the water. Just as he lost consciousness, he felt the body beside him gasp for air.
