Darkness

Halloween drabbles. Darkness
The darkness set into your apartment living room, the lights had been on only moments before, but unluckily, the electricity had flickered before shutting off, just as the storm outside started to get worse. Luckily, it had been when Junhyung was at your apartment, so you weren’t alone this time. He was working on his music as always, but with the electricity off you could tell he wouldn’t be doing that anytime soon.
Walking towards the room Junhyung usually worked in, you could hear the faint string of curse words that he was muttering, through the door. Often you left him alone to work how he wanted, yet with the electricity being off, you knew he wouldn’t be getting much work done. “Junhyung?” You said, as you opened the door, peering in despite knowing you’d be unable to see anything.
You assumed hearing your voice caused him concern, you didn’t often, you didn’t ever, interrupt his working time. Before your eyes could even adjust to the darkness, you felt a hand on your cheek.
“Are you okay baby?” Junhyung asked, as you felt his other hand start to stroke your hair.
You allowed him to pull you into his chest, it was a place that was comforting and you loved it. “I’m okay, but are you okay, I heard you cursing.” You said to him, before looking up at him, just to see him looking down at you.
Junhyung nodded his head, before you felt his lips touch your forehead. “I’m fine baby.” He started, before he started walking towards the sofa, with his arms still around you. “Let’s sit down, we can relax and wait until the electricity comes back on.”
Nodding, you walked with him. It wasn’t long before the two of you were laying on the sofa, cuddling. Laying on his chest, you pulled the blanket that he found closer to you, without the heating it was starting to get a bit chilly. As you moved further into his touch and clung tighter to the blanket, Junhyung started to laugh.
“If you’re cold baby we can get another blanket, but don’t hog all of the one we have, I get cold also.” Junhyung said, before he pulled you closer, hoping that would warm you up. “Or if you’re really cold, I can think of a few ways to warm you up.” He murmured in your ear.
With your hand that wasn’t clutching to the blanket, you lightly hit his chest. “Stop thinking like that, and hurry up and get some more blankets so we can get back to cuddling.”

The next morning, I wake up to see Neil has already woken up and is straightening his clothes given that both of us had fallen asleep cuddling in their own clothes.
Neil turns to see I’ve woken up: ‘Good morning beautiful, come on we gotta go.’
‘Hmm, 5 more minutes’, I mumble, causing Neil to chuckle as he sits down on the edge of the bed. He reaches his hand out and strokes my cheek. I lean into it, still a bit sleepy.
The professors hurry down the steps of the chapel, lead by an obviously agitated Mr. Nolan. Several of the professors are carrying newspapers in their hands. All of us students rise as they enter. After all the professors have taken their places, Mr. Nolan addresses us, ‘Sit.’ And we oblige. ‘In this week of Welton's Honor there appeared a profane and unauthorized article. Rather than spend my valuable time ferreting out the guilty persons - and let me assure you I will find them - I'm asking any and all students who knows anything about this article to make themselves known here and now. Whoever the guilty persons are, this is your only chance to avoid expulsion from this school.’
Then suddenly we hear a phone ringing. I can see the professors look about for its source, then everyone sees Charlie pick up a telephone receiver.
‘Welton Academy. Hello’, he states grinning, ‘Yes, he is. Just a moment. Mr. Nolan, it's for you. It's God. He says we should have girls at Welton.’ Most of the students laugh while the boys from the cave and I all shake their heads in disbelief.
Not many moments later he was dragged away by Mr Nolan. We were all dismissed to our rooms. There the boys and I all waited in Todds and Neils room silently. Neil sat on his bed, with me on his lap and his arms around my waist as he lays his head down on my shoulder and mine leans against his. Only when we hear some mumbling and shuffling in the hallway all of us get up. There we see Charlie stiffly walking back to his room. Neil was the first to talk, ‘You kicked out?’
‘No.’
‘So what happened?’ He asks carefully.
‘I'm to turn everybody in, apologize to the school and all will be forgiven’, Charlie states still not looking at us.
‘So, what are you gonna do?’ Neil asks, not getting an answer, ‘Charlie!’
‘Damn it, Neil’ Charlie smiles and then shuts his door, ‘The name is Nuwanda.’
Charlie sits with his bongos as the other boys and me are all crowded around him. He hits the bongos as he mimes Nolan's footsteps. I sit on Neils lap while Charlie talks. His arms are around my waist, his chin on my shoulder.
‘Creak. He started walking around towards my left. Creak. Creak. "Assume the position, Mr. Dalton."’ Then the door opens to reveal my dad. Many of the boys get up from their seats. ‘It's all right, gentlemen.’ Motioning to them that they can remain seated.
‘Mr. Keating’, Charlie smiles.
‘Mr. Dalton. That was a pretty lame stunt you pulled today.’
‘You're siding with Mr. Nolan?’ Charlie question, ‘What about Carpe diem and sucking all the marrow out of life and all that?’
‘Sucking the marrow out of life doesn't mean choking on the bone’, My dad explains, ‘Sure there's a time for daring and there's a time for caution, and a wise man understands which is called for.’
‘But I thought you'd like that’, Charlie states disappointed.
‘No. You being expelled from school is not daring to me. It's stupid, 'cause you'll miss some golden opportunities.’
‘Yeah. Like what?’ Charlie states sarcastically.
‘Like, if nothing else, the opportunity to attend my classes. Got it, Ace?’
‘Aye, aye, Captain’, Charlie states smiling slightly.
‘Keep your head about you’, he tells Charlie before glancing over to the rest of us, his eyes momentarily stopping when he sees me and Neil, I am vaguely aware of the way we’re still sitting, and I can feel my cheeks heat up, ‘That goes for the lot of you.’
‘Yes, Captain.’
‘Phone call from God’, my dad mumbles to himself, ‘If it had been collect, it would’ve been daring.’ The boys laugh. As my dad leaves, the rest of the boys gather around Charlie once again.
‘All right. Go on’, one of them says
Since Neil was at the play’s practice this morning, I spent the majority of my day, reading in my room. When the bell finally rang for dinner, I speed of to Neils dorm, knowing he’ll be back by now.
‘What's for dinner?’ I can hear a boy ask as the lot of them speed through the hall.
‘Spaghetti and meatballs!’ Pittsie yells in answer. Then I see Neil come up the stairs as everyone else swarms down to the cafeteria. ‘Save some for me’, I hear him say to some of the boys before he sees me walking to him, ‘Hello my love’, he smiles as he embraces and kisses me, ‘"But, room, Fairy! Here comes Oberon."’ he recites as both of us walk to his room. He opens the door to his room and there we see... his father sitting at his desk.
‘Father’, Neil states shocked.
‘Neil’, Mr Perry states shortly.
‘Wait a minute’, Neil asks hastily, ‘Before you say anything, please let me ex-’
Mr. Perry rises from the desk. ‘Young lady would you please leave us’, he states, interrupting his son. I look over at Neil, slightly concerned. His eyes are fixed on his dad, but he nods. I squeeze his hand one more time before letting go. I reach my hand out for Mr Perry to shake, ‘Good to meet you, Mr Perry.’ to which he shakes my hand shortly: ‘You as well.’
With that I leave the room, and when I do, I immediately hear Neil start to get scolded. I have to use all my self control not to turn around.
‘Where is Neil?’ the boys ask as I join them at the table.
‘His father is in his room’, I say, my voice seems distant, as if I’m talking underwater.
With that none of us really say anything anymore.
After dinner, I go to look for Neil, but I couldn’t find him anywhere. As I finally walk my way to my dads office to ask if he’s seen him anywhere, I can see Neil just exiting the office. The first thing I notice are his eyes, they are bloodshot, and I know that he’s been crying.
‘Neil?’ I call out, making my way over to him, ‘What happened?’ My voice causes Neils head to snap up, the look in his eyes seems disoriented, and even a little… panicked. I lightly put my hands on his sides. ‘Can we – can we go talk in your room please?’ he stammers quietly. I nod and we make our way to my dorm. Once we’re there we sit down on my bed.
‘What did he say?’ I ask, ‘Your dad?’
‘He said I was going out of control’, he says quietly, not looking at me, ‘Dating girls, doing plays behind his back. He wants me to quit the play.’
‘Are you?’
‘No’, he says, finally turning to me, ‘I went to talk to your dad, he says I have to talk to my dad, make him understand what acting means to me and … make him understand how much you mean to me.’ he reaches his hand out to stroke my cheek before he places it on the back of my neck and pulling me to him into a passionate kiss. It actually surprised me, since it was more passionate and demanding than usual.
He pulls me onto his lap suddenly, this causes my hips to accidentally move against his,. He groans, placing his hands on my hips to keep me there, slowly sliding his hands up and down to my thighs.
‘Evangeline’, he mumbles as we pull away momentarily, ‘I-I…’
‘Hmm?’ I open my eyes slightly and see Neil has a light blush on his cheek.
‘I want to be with you tonight’, he tells me as his hands slide up to my hips, then under my sweater to stroke my sides, ‘If you’ll let me.’
When I catch on to what he mean, I blush, but nod ‘Yes.’ he smiles at me before pecking my lips once again. He gently pulls my sweater over my head before putting his hands on my hips again. Then he starts to kiss me again, first my lips, then he moves down to my cheek, then my jaw where he whispers in my ear: ‘Are you sure?’ As he asks this his hands slide down to my butt and squeezes lightly as he continues to kiss and bit my neck. ‘Yes’, I say, gasping at the sudden action.
Neil looks back up at me. I can see love in his eyes, it makes me smile. He kisses my lips again, puts one of his arms around the small of my back, slowly and gently laying me down on his bed. He uses his other arm to hold himself up. The arm that was around me, slides up and down my sides before sliding it up the hem of my shirt, all the while still kissing me.
The next morning I open my eyes to see Neil already out of bed. I yawn and stretch slightly: ‘Come back to bed.’
Neil turns to me smiling: ‘I would love to, but I can’t. It’s the last practice before the premier tonight.’ He comes over to me to kiss my forhaed before getting back up and asking: ‘Have you seen my- … are you wearing my sweater?’
‘Maayyybeee’, I smile.
He chuckles slightly, sitting back down on the edge of my bed and leaning close to my ear: ‘You’re lucky you look good in my clothes.’
His statement causes me to blush a bright red and when he sees this, I can see him smirk. He leans in to kiss me one more time before leaving.

The Corellisi Legend of The Thousand-year Fish.
❝ In the age, after the fall of the Jedi, the grand clan families of the Corellisi were cast wide across the solar system, roaming and homeless in their great floating markets. In this time, two young people were in love: the bright youth, Luke, and the rootless wanderer, Han.
Luke was from the Forha Ovlilacio clan, meaning great bond, a very old and wealthy compact of bonded families. Han, however, had no clan; his family having been shattered by the Artenhoqual many years before. He was Solec, meaning solo, landless, clan-less: a body turned to dust, turned to motes on a careless wind.
Luke belonged to families within families.
Han was alone.
Except, to Luke, Han was a poet who had hazel eyes to see the beauty of things, and ears to hear the softly whispered language of the universe.
❛I know a place,❜ Han whispered. ❛Where I may be homeless no more. I have heard a voice, and it leads me there. Come with me❜.
But Luke's father, Anakin, was a man, made foolish by his power, and vociferously disapproved of their joining. Thus, cast adrift from the floating market that was home to his one true love. ❞
❝ Luke and Han ran away together, as lovers do, and were never heard from again.
Rent by grief, Luke's family thought him dead. His father passed away, clutching his cameo, at peace, thinking he would see his son soon, in some moonlit afterlife . . . ❞
❝ Decades later, ships entering ancient Corellia's orbit, hailed from the planet's poisoned surface, by a gentle man’s voice, kind and knowing. Traders would call for him, greet him, offer the latest news on their families and lives—but never did they learn anything of this beautiful man, save that he had a husband, and they were somehow, happy, living on the toxic skin of that hostile world.
The man would always—always, ask those travelers of news of the Forha Ovlilacio clan. Forha Ovlilacio junkers came searching for a sign of their missing kin. The frail voice of their long-lost child reached out to them, and there was much joy.
You will find us, his message said, by the light of our love.
Luke bade them make their home around a magnificent Jedi ruin, promising them that it would be a source of their prosperity for generations to come. The Forha Ovlilacio arrived in their vast floating market. There, by a ragged coastline, winked a point of light.
Follow the brightness of the love between Han and I, said the message, and be safe from all harm.
The wrathful Artenhoqual took umbrage of this, and sought to block their passage but, upon approaching that ancient Jedi tower, found their transmissions silenced, their engines turned cold, and their weapons reduced to lumps of dead iron. ❞
❝ Luke was a being of the day, his husband, a spirit of the night.
He was a man of the land, and Han, a man of the sea.
Han understood the crushing weight of time in which Corellia existed. In return, Corellia gifted pieces of its ancient self to Han; old things shaped to near shapelessness by a thousand years beneath the waves. Han was a man dedicated to finding the sacred in the forgotten, the neglected—and took wisdom from them.
After many decades, Han had a small collection of such gifts—such that they could be held in two cupped hands—but in them, he understood the lifespan of a world. And so, he had struck an accord with the creatures of the sea. ❞
❝ For his part, in his times alone, Luke came to know the birds and animals of the Plains, and likewise, struck an accord with them. Even the tortured Eidolons, creatures of this world and the next, left them in peace and made the lands around the Tower safe for the Corellisi.
At the center of this place was the Tower. And within the Tower was the Fharth: the Voice, the Force, that had called Han and Luke there so many years ago, for this exact purpose. ❞
❝ The Corellisi named their village Uhl sanlo Ol'val: the family and prosperity.
Luke was joyous to see his clan again . . . but Han would not enter Uhl sanlo Ol'val, for he had no family save Luke. Luke was drawn to his clan and Han felt no resentment.
His love would one day return to them.
Han had known it would be so.
Han took the things the sea had gifted over his long life, and took to his boat, and sailed out across his midnight ocean.
He returned those gifts to the deep . . . and himself to them, too.
But this was no death into which Han stepped—for a world is made of cycles, upon cycles.
Han stepped into his midnight ocean, falling down into it.
The deeper he sank, the larger he became.
This is how the oceans of Corellia came to be the home of the thousand-year fish: legendary, vast, reclusive, the rare sight of which changes men; one of the great ancient spirits of Corellia.
The spirits of the land felt Luke's sadness, mad with grief for the loss of their friend to the spirits of the sea. The accord broke down, the animals and Eidolons, returning once more to wildness. And so, the people of the clan, Uhl sanlo Ol'val, rebuilt the great Jedi wall that had, in centuries gone by, ringed their gleaming Tower . . . and never again ventured out at night. ❞
❝ The villagers decided as one that their home would no longer be known as Uhl sanlo Ol'val: family and prosperity.
From that day forward it would be known as Solec: landless, of no one clan, home to any who are blown as dust on the wind.
Luke lived there the rest of his days, and for the remainder of his nights, he held vigil atop the walls of Solec, looking to the sea—and some say, occasionally catching sight of a great fish, like an island in the midnight ocean, looking back at him. With love.
It is said that Han continued to watch over the deep, as he had always done, and Luke, the land. Often he would stand by his husband-sea, speaking in a language only those bound at the soul can know.
When the day came and Luke passed from the world, his family buried him on the land.
A great fish watched from the sea, and kept vigil over him, for ten days and nights.
When it sank beneath the waves, it was never seen again.
Some say, Han, the thousand-year fish, waits to this day, for their story to be retold—relived—so that he and Luke, his great love, may one day be reunited again. ❞

Dating!Seongwoo
Probably used some hella cheesy pickup line when asking you out.
It almost didn’t work, but he seemed prepared with more so you said yes.
Probably calls you his girlfriend on the second date, but you don’t mind.
If his friends bring up how you’ve known each other a week and he’s calling you his girlfriend, he’d be like “But can’t you see how seriously in love we are.”
The most annoying boyfriend.
But also the most loving boyfriend.
He’s a meme, like just accept it.
Serious isn’t a word that exist to him, so don’t expect it.
Calls you the love of his life, but also calls Daniel the love of his life.
Probably teases you saying he could just leave you for Daniel if he wanted to.
You wouldn’t need to worry about him cheating on other girls.
But you sometimes worry about Daniel.
You could both be sitting in the same room, ten feet from each other, but text instead of saying what you want aloud.
Inside jokes run deep with you, and no one else can understand them even Daniel.
You’re lowkey proud of that though, that you have some inside jokes Daniel can’t understand.
You two can hold a full conversation just using memes.
He’d tease you constantly, whether it be over the fact you aren’t tall enough to kiss his cheek, or the fact that you can’t reach the top shelf.
He does dumb ass things also, like jumping over fences and yelling parkour, doing stupid dangerous things for fun.
He probably knows you hate it when he does it, but still does it to make you laugh.
Until he almost gets hit by a car and you lecture him over road safety and how to be safe around traffic.
“If I wanted to be lectured, I would ask Jisung to do it, not my girlfriend.”
“Well, Jisung isn’t around when you pull dumb ass stunts like that.”
“You’re lucky I love you, or I’d leave you for Daniel.”
Buys you things and drags you shopping for no reason.
If you asked him to go shopping with you, he’d be total up for it.
He’d drag you into some lingerie store while you were shopping, and ask you to try on everything in your size in every color it comes in.
It would be December and he’s trying to talk you into bikini shopping, because you never know there might be an unusually warm day in the middle of December and you should be prepared.
Greasy as hell, but also soft as hell.
He’d do anything for you, including wake up at midnight to go out and buy you food, and he also claimed he’d swim across the Pacific ocean to get to you that one time you visited family in America.
Probably wakes you up every morning by kissing you until you wake up, even if you aren’t a morning person.
But he kisses you in weird places, like your eyelids, and you wake up like “wtf are you doing”.
He’s your biggest supporter, like if you say anything bad about yourself he’s like “here is two million and sixty three reasons why what you just said is wrong.”
Tries to be romantic, but just isn’t good at those domestic things, like the one time he tried to make you breakfast in bed he set off the fire alarm and destroyed your toaster.
Loves skinship, claims that an hour without skinship will kill him.
Constantly has his arm around you, resting his chin on your head, or his head resting on your shoulder.
Loves cuddling, especially cuddling you.
Will wrap his arms around you and then wrap a blanket around the both of you and be like “we’re staying this way until I’m done so I hope you didn’t have anything important to do today.”
To which he’d reply to himself and be like “of course you don’t, cuddling me is the most important part of your day.”
Constantly plays with your hair, says he’s braiding it but he’s really just making it one big knot.
Steals your food and then blames it on the cat, but you don’t have a cat and his plan to eat it and blame it on the cat falls through..
Also tries to feed you, but ends up dropping it and staining your shirt.
He’d do random stuff, like pick you up and carry you into the living room for no reason, and then just walk away.
If you fell asleep on the sofa waiting for him, he’d always carry you into the bedroom, and you’d always wake up on the bed in his arms.
He’d try to seduce you one day, but gets his foot caught on the rug and trip.
“Act like you didn’t see that.” And he tries to continue, but you’re too busy laughing at him.
He’d be an idiot, but a sweet idiot, and he’s all yours (if you don’t include the like 40% ownership by Daniel).
