So yesterday I was thinking of a bad ending for montague, where the amulet takes over his soul entirely and he goes berserk ; lemme explain below in detail!!

So for this side, this is to explain mostly that monty is very prone to heart attacks / hypertension ( hereditary ), so whenever he gets too enraged, the amulet will protect him by crystallizing his body ( except it hurts a LOT because the claws wrap around his heart )

As for his diamond form ;

Smaller scratches, cuts or flaws can be replaced by other diamonds ー in other words, he can repair small damages done with no problem.

Bigger damage is much harder to repair ; if the crack goes beyond the initial surface, it is still painful enough, even if with enough time and power, it can be repaired. The faster the repair, the less he can remain in diamond form.

As for much bigger damage ; if a crack were to pass from side to side or completely break off a part of him, then it would directly affect his original body by equivalence. He does have an initial ` crystal shield `, after the initial shield breaks, any large damage done starts counting, as he is unable to maintain his form too long, replace a body part with more diamond, or do so efficiently enough.

Once the shield breaks, for example, if an arm were to be blown off, he won't manage to create a new one, hence, his real body would also receive the same amount of damage, as though he had just lost an arm.

That won't apply to berserk Montague, because at that point, He'd have been completely lost to the amulet's power, becoming literally flawless to the point that even if he breaks, he can reassemble himself no problem, except he's lost his soul in the process.

( I'd like to think he could be saved if he remembers love like his Mother taught him☝🏻 if someone manages to approach him despite looking this unapproachable. . mm )

Anyways, more about his power ; At this point, he's been wearing the amulet so long that it's effects have turned almost permanent. Even if it were to be removed, his powers attached to it would still work.

However, it does come with side effects, as in : the more disconnected he is from being human, such as feeling human emotions, the more his heart crystallizes to the point it would stop beating.

Eventually, the amulet aims to turn its user into a diamond permanently, thus fueling its own power by taking away someone's humanity.

It would depend how much control One has over the amulet and how much understanding and control the user has over the amulet's powers.

Hence!! Bad ending montague who loses his humanity entirely
