Week 4. This week is challenging but definitely worth it. As I mentioned in my previous blog, we held a series of meetings before concluding that the information gathered during our interview was incomplete. We need to reach out to more people and collect more information. As a result, we move on to the user interview. We discovered that not all sellers and buyers are potential users of our app, we gained a lot of knowledge during the interview process.  Some of them are willing, but others have doubts. Also, there is a specific age bracket for our target users. However, we believe that we will be able to persuade them and speak with them about the entire concept in the future. That is why we listened attentively to the lecture on how to communicate effectively with users.

The following are the processes that we followed. First and foremost, we began our discussion by asking them about their lives. Second, we discuss specifics and simply listen to them while taking notes to gather as much information as possible. During the lecture, we also made use of the guide questions. We didn't ask them many questions, we just had a normal conversation with them.

Another thing we did this week was to put our ideas through their paces. The first step that we took was to develop a value hypothesis, which was followed by the development of the Test Card and Learning Card. The VH and TCLC were presented to our classmates and instructor during the class.  From that class, we gather some helpful information and advice.

Our overall performance was great because we completed all of the tasks in a single 1-week period. We plan to hold another meeting in order to discuss possible improvements. Hopefully, the flow of our project will run smoothly.

Například dnes to byli tito Morris dancers, kteří zavítali k nám do odpoledního klubu, kde pracuju jako dobrovolnik. Morris dance je typický britský folklorní tanec, který má některé prvky španělského a italského lidového tance. První písemná zmínka o něm pochází z roku 1448. Díky britské expanzi najdeme týmy nejen v Británii, ale také v Kanadě, Austrálii, n Novém Zélandu nebo třeba v Hong Kongu. Since it's the 28th day of this fitness journey, I think it's time for some before and after pic. Hahaha! So medyo nabawasan lang yung tyan ko, tho malaki pa din 😧😂 Humaba din tingnan yung hita ko ng very light dahil sa super slight na pagnipis nila. 😂 At lumuwag yung damit ko bandang balikat. Ramdam na ramdam ko din yung pagliit ng boobs ko. Yey! 😂😂😂 I'm still on my weight loss plateau. After losing 8kg, I'm stuck at 72kg and still in obese category with regards to my BMI. WEEK 4 - Art Center

I had the first contact with the art scene in Kigali at the Inema Art Center. This is a colorful-two-floor house, right behind CMU-Africa campus, with a backyard, a coffee shop, an art atelier and rooms full of local paintings and sculptures. The art center was founded in 2012 and it has been considered by media as Kigali's top contemporary gallery. It is a space for more than 10 creative artist to show and sale their own masterpieces; every room has paintings (mostly canvas) throughout its walls. As you can see in some of the photos, the popular art form in Rwanda is full of bright colors: yellow, red, black and white. Some geometric figures prevail as well.

WEEK 4 - Rwandan Impressions

Trip to Lake Mugesera in eastern province:

On Saturday, the students of Enrichment Year had an escapade to the lake. There were some admin staff members and fellow graduates leading the teams throughout the trek (the entire group was about 120 people). The location of the lake is 8 km (4.9 miles) away from ASYV, so it took us around 2 and a half hours to walk there... Nice exercise though! Some facts about the lake: it is fed by many rivers and streams. It is also home of crocodiles, water turtles, snakes and otters (did not see any) and the climate is temperate due to its terrain elevation.
