“Aero is everything”—we’ve been preaching it for years and it’s still the driving force for the new Tarmac. In our quest for tube shapes that deliver the fastest frame that the UCI rules allow, we took a page out of the Venge development book and utilised our FreeFoil Shape Library. Armed with a library of optimised shapes, we turned to the Win Tunnel to plug these shapes into a modular test bike, for more testing and validation. The result? A new Tarmac that’s the fastest we’ve tested—45 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6 (built with Aerofly II handlebars, sold separately). No compromises, just pure speed. While aerodynamics were paramount to the Tarmac’s development, and to the development of all of our race bikes, weight was the co-pilot on this optimal race bike journey. Previously “aero bikes” always compromised in the weight department—the more drag you reduced, the more weight you gained. Continuing our quest to develop the perfect race bike, we used our Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced, best handling Tarmac yet—no matter the size. With an army of the world’s best test riders from our three World Tour Teams — Boels-Dolmans, Deceuninck-Quick-Step, and Bora-hansgrohe — we made changes to the Tarmac based on their thousands of kilometres on the road. We balanced the ride quality between the front and rear end, so even the longest days in the saddle continue to be comfortable—all without giving up anything to the Tarmac’s legendary handling and race-winning snappiness. Building on the learnings from the Venge, the new Tarmac utilises simple integration to create a clean, fast cockpit that’s easy to live with. We're halfway into the challenge!! wohoo!!

Today I started working on my internet tech project. The goal is to create a good website for a college of our choice. But I wanted to have fun with it so I decided to make one for a burger institute LOL. Obviously I'm going to change the text and the color palette later to make it a submittable project but hey I wanted to have fun first.

The problems I ran into while learning about these things (this is my first time dabbling into web dev, its a whole new world for me) were:

The navigation bar was a very small headache. I couldn't seem to make the height span the entire document. But @codemerything helped me out so ty :) I just had to declare the width of the parent i.e. the document first, and then 100% of that height would be the height of the vertical navigation bar. ez :)

I wanted to include a frameset in the page, but it didn't appear. Turns out while working with framesets, we can't use the <body> tag. So I'm not sure how I can include a bunch of frames in the place of "bla bla bla" without making the whole page just a bunch of frames. Help?

So that's all for today, I will work more on the project tomorrow! And don't worry, I shall show both the results - the burger institute one and the actual college website later lol XD

You have spoiled me by asking about art so I'm going to put waaaaay to much yapping under the cut to keep this post scrollable.

I have a LOT of TLT head canons, so here's a few: (Spoilers?)

Art Yapping below:

My art tips will probably sound really boring but honestly, regardless of what style or medium you use, fundamentals are super important. So 3D shapes, proportions, anatomy, perspective (my weakest by far) etc. It's very similar to music where once you learn the basic chords and scales, you can sort of extrapolate on that to create your own sound. Additionally USE REFERENCES! Holy shit, especially when branching out with subject matter, or shape, or just the angle of a hand, references are your friend and everyone should use them. All artists ever in history have used them at all experience levels. Drawing from imagination is awesome and super useful but you have to grow your mental library first to be able to do that.

It's also important to just do it, and to push beyond your comfort zone even if it doesn't come out exactly how you want the first 100 times you do it. At the bare minimum, it's far harder to practice something and NOT improve. Even just drawing boxes and cylinders at different angles is a great way to practice for anything art related.

Probably the most important is to be patient with yourself. Some days you'll feel great about the art you do and it feels easy, and lots of days it will feel impossible and you'll wonder why you can't seem to keep a line straight when just the other day it felt so easy. But those days are just as important. Even from just the time I started posting here, about 80% of these things I've drawn don't end up here because they didn't come out right or how I pictured, but it's still worth it to do them. Friction makes a fire, or whatever.

A short but bracing afternoon blat on the monstercross, adding another 690m of ascent to the February total. I love this cobbled together drop bar MTB, it perfectly suits my local riding. Increasingly I find myself stroking my beard over framesets like the Tumbleweed Stargazer that could combine the Boost wheelset and drivetrain from the Scandal, coupled with the bars and controls from the Cannondale. Hmm...

I. Hate. Nationalists.

I. Hate. Conservatives.

I hate self-proclaimed "Marxists" who are both Conservative and Nationalistic.

Marxism, Socialism, Communism, and all Leftist ideologies are incompatible with Conservatism and Nationalism. There is no compatibility between them, and the adoption of Conservatism and Nationalism by economically Socialist people and parties is not only revisionist, it is a total and complete betrayal of Marxism in all its forms, including Leninism and Stalinism, ideologies behind which many of these bastards hide behind.

The LGBT community benefitted thoroughly from Socialism in Eastern Europe, that is undeniable. Countries like the German Democratic Republic, the Polish People's Republic, the Republic of Cuba, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Lao People's Democratic Republic have brought freedom, in large part, to LGBT people, within the frameset of their times. The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the People's Republic of Bulgaria made enormous scientific steps to understand LGBT people. Lenin had liberated LGBT people in the early Soviet Union before Stalin undid that in one of the worst mistakes of his premiership.

For self-proclaimed "Socialists" and "Marxists" to deny this is to deny historical fact and give into the lies of Liberal propaganda, based mainly on a purposeful misunderstanding of history and on survivorship bias. Am I saying that LGBT people were entirely free? Of course not. Persecution was still common in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania, Albania, and -of course- the Post-Stalinist USSR, and even in countries where it was wholly legalised, often the governments didn't go further to ensure protection, but this happened at a time where in the Capitalist Bloc tens of thousands of LGBT people were executed and imprisoned compared to a few thousand in all of the Eastern Bloc in the same time.

The liberation of LGBT people is inherent to Marxism, and anybody who claims that not to be the case is not only a revisionist and a reactionary but a traitor to the revolution and the cause: Do not let their pitiful attempts at Identity Politics get to you. No war other than the class war means no war based on gender, no war based on ethnicity, race, nation, or anything. The only fight that Socialism must embark upon is that of the proletariat against the bourgeoisie war whose intrinsic goal is overthrowing the established order and liberating the proletariat, be they a woman, a man, neither, both, in between, or someone else entirely. Regardless of who they do or do not love.

Nationalism is against all the values of Marx and Engels, Lenin and even Stalin. Do not let them hide behind their excuses from Kim Il Sung and Stalin. Stalin never supported Nationalism. He explained in Marxism and the National Question that each nation has different material conditions, and thus they each have varying procedures to be taken to achieve the revolution. This is one of the few beliefs he shared with the Left Opposition of Trotsky.

The belief that the primary division of humanity is the nation is revisionist, not just revisionist but one of the main rhetorics of fascists and nazis, according to which the superiority of one nation over every other separates "Good" from "Bad". There is no "National Communism"; there is a "National Way to Communism", no Socialist Nationalism, no Left-Wing Nationalism. Any ideology that puts the nation before the people and culture before the workers, that ideology is not leftist, socialist, or Marxist, but rather some type of Falangism more or less moderate.

Be warned of these reactionaries and fascists pretending to be Socialists: do not fall for their rhetoric and stand your ground. The liberation of the proletariat includes everyone, all people of all nations, everywhere on Earth. No tolerance for the intolerants, no war but the class war, no enemy but the bourgeoisie. Remember, comrades, the revolution is red, rainbow, black, pink, blue, and every colour because the only struggle that unites us is against the oppression of Capitalism. The only things we have to lose from this liberation are our chains.

Aphex Twin - Aisatsana

All I can remember are nightmarish details of what I assume was a brief dream I conjured in my mind during my semi-conscious state while crossing the lanes between being asleep and being alert.

I think I can remember someone like a dad's friend (most likely a student) giving me a CD. And I went up to my room to put it in there. I didn't have my Macbook Pro like always but instead it was a PC. Like a windows PC.

I forgot some details here and there but then I was on an old 2000s anime music video website. Where I saw Tomo Takino in a ytpmv formatted video.

Her screams were all choppy and edited to fit the song's melody like any other ytpmv. She also slammed her head on the floor face-down at times. All choppy, like I said. Then I saw a link that led to the original "meme" mv, which was a tf2 fan-made mv.

When I clicked the link I was transported to a website that looked uncannily similar to know your meme. There on the thumbnail, I saw cirno and scout from tf2 performing choreography or something like that to the joke song. And it wasn't really even a ytpmv either, they were just...rapping.

The strange part of the video was that, you know how youtube has the "chapters" feature? Well, this video was divided into sections, and they were SHOWN DIRECTLY. I remember there were several of them. But I could only remember one that said "DIVORCE" and "RATS RATS RATS".

It was literally displayed like this. Then the dream ended, and those things were the only thing I could recount in accuracy.

They were rapping about Divorce?? And rats?? While dancing?? Cirno?? Scout?? And the tomo ytpmv was nowhere similar to the video with cirno and scout. It made no sense whatsoever.

And the weirdest part of all this is. I wasn't even watching ytps/ytpmvs, or consuming any touhou/azu/tf2 content. Well I mean I kinda was this whole week. But I was reading about <FRAMESETS> right before I fell asleep! How can that even happen?!
