I don't see a lot of people talking about how A.B.A can see ghost, and as far as I know there were ghost back in FRASCO. A.B.A trying to communicate with the ghost but having no answer so she thought that was normal.

EVENTO: Halloween After dark

Foi só outubro chegar, que o clima de Los Angeles mudou em 180 graus. Não se engane, as altas palmeiras e o ar de superficialidade ainda continuam, mas é fácil ver que o espírito do Halloween tomou conta de todos por ali. As tradicionais máscaras da praia de Venice, por exemplo, agora em de monstros de filme de terror ou de palhaços horripilantes, as casas dos subúrbios estavam todas enfeitadas, algumas já tinham tomado uma saraivada de rolos de papel higiênico, que indicavam que alguém muito empolgado com Halloween havia passado por ali. 

A caminho de Bel-Air, vendo as pessoas caminhando pelas ruas, você pensa em como tudo aquilo pode acabar mudando em alguns dias, e ninguém daqueles passantes tem qualquer noção da mer… loucura que está acontecendo nas últimas semanas. Esse sentimento é empurrado para o fundo do cérebro quando o carro para em frente daquela casa imponente em Bel-Air. Você se surpreende, logo na entrada. Quem quer que fez aquilo, realmente levou a sério o tema da festa. O gramado principal estava cheio de esqueletos, teias de aranha, sangue, monstros cenográficos, e luzes coloridas que deixava tudo com cara e que as portas do sub mundo foram abertas. 

Caminhando pelo gramado você toma um puta susto com um grito e olha na direção do som… espera, são as cabeças do ‘Clube dos Cinco” empaladas???? No interior, as coisas parecem mais habituais. A decoração é feita por sangue e teias de aranhas, há muitas referências aos anos 80, neon e quadriculado para todos os lados, convidados vestidos com muito cabelos altos, spandex e roupas de gostos duvidosos, uma em especifico, você não tem certeza se deveria ser o Beetlejuice ou AXL Rose.  Há estudantes bebendo e dançando, com a sala principal feita de pista de dança… BOOOO Um Freddie Krueger pula em você e você fica irritado porque há atores contratados se passando por monstros de filme de slasher como Michael Myers e Ghost face killer e assustando os convidados. 

A mesa de beer pong parece bem atrativa, assim como o bar que tem uma quantidade razoável de bebidas de alto padrão (dizem que há algumas drogas também, mas você precisa dizer a senha). Há também uma área de poções mágicas, cada uma de uma bebida secreta que nem o cara vestido de bruxo (que você ouviu Malina chamando ele de Gandalf) estava servindo ao lado do bar. Andando pelo resto da casa, pelo quintal, há alguns convidados com um mapa, discutindo sobre uma caça ao tesouro, que deve dar um prêmio secreto e um labirinto bem interessante, que te faz pensar onde foi que arranjaram um milharal grande o suficiente e transportaram para aquela casa.

Balançando a cabeça, você resolve voltar para dentro, enquanto algum desses DJs da moda foi chamado, toca algum remix de músicas dos anos 80 com algum bate estaca que vai ser esquecido no tempo, e você estranha um padrão tão alto pra uma festa de fraternidade, enquanto olha as faixas de “NÃO ULTRAPASSE” nas escadas que dão para o porão e para o segundo andar. Você resolve ignorar aquilo sensação de que tem algo errado ali  e foca em se divertir.

Pelo menos por aquela noite, você sabe que pode desligar o cérebro um pouco e se divertir.

ATIVIDADES

Caça ao Tesouro:A fraternidade Kappa Sigma organizou uma caça ao tesouro épica na antiga mansão em Bel-Air. O cenário era de arrepiar, com decorações sinistras e luzes tremeluzentes. Quem participa recebe do Jason Vohees um mapas enigmáticos que os guiam por corredores assombrados, salas secretas e passagens ocultas. No final, dizem que há um baú repleto de prêmios e lembranças inesquecíveis, mas deve ser só um aglomerado de bugigangas.

Poções Mágicas: O barman, vestido como um bruxo, serve elixires misteriosos, dentro de garrafas diferentes e de cores esquisitas, atrás de um balcão decorado com caldeirões fumegantes e frascos coloridos, servindo bebidas com nomes como "Fogo de Dragão" e "Elixir da Noite Eterna". Ninguém sabe o que é que tem ali, há rumores de que são coisas que saíram do departamento de farmácia ou de química, mas sabe-se apenas que cada gole revela um sabor surpreendente.

Beer pong: Perto da pista de dança, há a tradicional uma mesa de beer pong decorada com neon. Iluminada por luzes fluorescentes e adornada para brilhar na luz preta, criando um efeito visual deslumbrante. Vence o participante que acertar mais copos e beber o conteúdo. Quem vence, ganha um beijo da rainha do baile dos anos 80, quem perde, ganha um beijo do Pinhead.

Ouija Board: Uma Ouija board é um tabuleiro místico utilizado para suposta comunicação com espíritos. Feito de madeira ou plástico, é retangular e decorado com letras do alfabeto, números de 0 a 9, palavras "sim", "não" e "adeus" nas extremidades. Acompanha uma planchette, geralmente em forma de coração, com uma pequena janela ou buraco no centro. Durante as sessões, os participantes colocam os dedos na planchette, que supostamente se move, guiada por forças sobrenaturais, revelando mensagens ao deslizar pelo tabuleiro. Se funciona ou não, Ninguém sabe.

Pista de Dança: Iluminada por luzes neon, teias de aranha e uma bola de espelhos cintilante, a sala estava decorada com fitas coloridas, posters de ícones pop e boomboxes gigantes. DJ em um pedestal tocava sucessos de synth-pop e rock clássico. O ambiente pulsava com energia nostálgica, criando uma atmosfera animada e cheia de alegria retro.

Gramado dos Decapitados: Montadas em estacas, no meio do gramado da frente, cercada por túmulos falsos, as cabeças animatrônicas de icones dos anos 80 se movem lentamente, com olhos luminosos e bocas que abriam e fechavam, emitindo gemidos macabros. Decoradas com maquiagem detalhada e cabelos desgrenhados, pareciam aterrorizantemente reais, elas se mexem e gemem e falam frases quando alguém chega perto. O vento fazia as estacas rangerem, aumentando o efeito sinistro. À noite, a iluminação estratégica realçava as expressões horrorizadas, fazendo os espectadores sentirem um arrepio na espinha ao passar.

Corrida Maluca: A pista sinuosa de Hot Wheels está montada em uma das salas, montada com loops e curvas desafiadoras, iluminada por luzes vibrantes. Vence o carrinho de filme de terror que chegar mais rápido no final e acertar um dos copos de cerveja no fim da pista.

Em IC, festa começa no dia 3/10/2013, ás 20 horas, quando o sol se põe, e termina no nascer do sol. Em OOC, começa hoje, 28/06, às 21h20 e termina dia 8/7, às 21h19.

Yo soy el problema

Soy un frasco de cristal que guarda pesadillas y muchas heridas,  a veces lloro por las noches y hundo mi cabeza en la almohada para que nadie me escuche, deambulo por el sótano con un cigarro en mis manos pero nunca lo enciendo, corro y me escondo  en las sombras para que nadie me busque, y así también nadie pueda encontrarme, a veces la depresión  toca a mi puerta y me seduce con su voz, me quisiera arrancar los oídos con una navaja pero son mis muñecas quien siempre sufren, algo está mal conmigo, o quizá lo malo sea yo.

Jamás te he mentido  cuando te dedico un te amo, pero tampoco soy del todo honesto cuando lo hago, sucede que aun no se escribe una palabra que signifique algo más grande, una expresión que represente colosal sentimiento, un abrigo de seda a la medida de la luna, un frasco de cristal donde poder guardar cada estrella del firmamento.

No puedo evitar imaginarme a miss umbra cantando "You'll be back" de hamilton, ya que representaria perfectamente la relación entre lewis y miss umbra;una relación tóxica de la cual lewis quiere salir y evitar que sus amigos y novia formen parte de eso, y miss umbra siendo una persona(o cosa,no se si ella cuenta como un ser humano) que fuerza a lewis a permanecer junto a ella usando miedo y manipulación, amenazando a lastimar a los que ama para que no se vaya y seguir drenando su energía(lewis al estar muerto y ser un fantasma técnicamente está hecho de energía espiritual) hasta que se seque.

Miss umbra cuando conoció a lewis uso su habilidad de cambio de forma para parecer más amigable y darle a lewis una falsa sensación de seguridad, para luego voltear las cartas a su favor y hacerle creer que arthur le empujó por celos o odio,haciendo que lewis tuviera su sed de venganza contra arthur, el tiempo que lewis estuvo "desaparecido" miss umbra le dio una poción(el frasco que apareció en el arte de "one of us") que incrementa los poderes de un fantasma a base de sus emociones negativas, haciendo que lewis confíe plenamente en ella y hasta tratándola como una amiga, en ese lapso de tiempo también se comunicó con lewis a través de los espejos de la mansion, según lewis:

"ella solo se manifiesta si no hay nadie más que la vea que no sea el invocador"

Cuando se supo la verdad lewis fue a hablar con miss umbra para deshacer el trato, pero en ese momento miss umbra mostró su verdadera cara(figurativamente y literalmente) y le diría a lewis que el contrato que hizo no se puede romper y que ahora el es prácticamente su propiedad,que ahora le tiene que pagar con la vida de arthur o como mínimo una alma humana, Lewis muy enojado le grita a miss umbra que no hará tal cosa ni aunque su ancla dependiera de ello, sin embargo miss umbra le dice que sí no quiere que algo le pase a su familia, amigos o novia, ella tendra que alimentarse de su energía espiritual hasta que el tenga el valor para darle su paga, Lewis acepta a regañadientes, pensando que en ese lapso de tiempo podría encontrar la forma de romper su trato. Velo cómo la relación tóxica de valentino y ángel dust(de hazbin hotel).

También me imagino que los mystery skulls decsubririan que frigg también hizo un trato con miss umbra y recurririan a ella para ayudar a lewis, también descubririan que miss umbra conspiró con Reverb para que todo este desmadre ocurriera y sacar ventaja de ello

I can't help but imagine miss umbra singing "You'll be back" by hamilton, as it would perfectly represent the relationship between lewis and miss umbra, a toxic relationship that lewis wants to get out of and prevent his friends and girlfriend from being part of it , and miss umbra being a person (or thing, I don't know if she counts as a human being) that forces Lewis to stay with her using fear and manipulation, threatening to hurt those she loves so that she doesn't leave and continue to drain his energy (Lewis being dead and being a ghost is technically made of spirit energy) until it dries up.

Miss umbra when she met lewis used her shapeshifting ability to appear friendlier and give lewis a false sense of security, to then turn the cards in his favor and make him believe that arthur pushed him out of jealousy or hatred, making lewis had his thirst for revenge against arthur, the time that lewis was "disappeared" miss umbra gave him a potion (the bottle that appeared in the art of "one of us") that increases the powers of a ghost based on his negative emotions , making lewis fully trust her and even treating her as a friend, in that period of time she also communicated with lewis through the mirrors of the mansion, according to lewis:

"She only manifests if there is no one else to see her other than the summoner"

When the truth came out Lewis went to talk to Miss Umbra to undo the deal, but at that moment Miss Umbra showed her true face (figuratively and literally) and would tell Lewis that the contract he made cannot be broken and that now the It is practically his property, which now he has to pay with the life of Arthur or at least one human soul, Lewis angrily yells at Miss Umbra that he will not do such a thing even if his anchor depended on it, however Miss Umbra tells him that if he does not want something to happen to his family, friends or girlfriend, she will have to feed on his spiritual energy until he has the courage to pay her, Lewis reluctantly agrees, thinking that in that period of time he could find the right way to break their deal. See how the toxic relationship of valentino and angel dust (from hazbin hotel).

I also imagine that the mystery skulls would discover that frigg also made a deal with miss umbra and would turn to her to help lewis, they would also discover that miss umbra conspired with Reverb to make all this riot happen and take advantage of it

2019年ベストトラック

年が明けて3週間、ようやく2019年のベストトラックがまとまりました(最終的に250曲近くある状態でベストトラックと呼んでいいのかというのはありますが)。

前回ベストトラックをまとめたのが2017年上期、その時と音楽を聴く環境で大きく変わった点が2つ。

1つはソースがCDからサブスクに変わったということ。以前はマテリアル至上主義で、CDを購入してiTunesに取り込み、それをPCもしくはiPodで聴くというスタイルだったのが、完全にSpotifyオンリーとなりました(タワレコ限定発売のとあるシングルは購入しましたが)。

もう1つは音楽を聴く時間が圧倒的に増えたということ。以前は往復の通勤時間プラスαの週に15時間くらいだったのが、自営業となり営業中はほぼずっと音楽を聴けるようになったので週に60時間(1日8時間)以上音楽を聴いてることに。

というわけで、毎週水曜日と金曜日の新譜リリース日にはSpotify公式のニューリリースプレイリストを全曲チェックして、気になるものがあったらアルバム、アーティストページに飛んで気に入った曲をプレイリスト候補に追加しておき、4時間半分くらいたまったら曲順を考えつつプレイリストを作成してそれを聴く日々。

それら日々聴いてるプレイリストに入ってる2019年リリース曲からベストトラックを選んでいったわけですが、最初のプレイリストを作成する時点である程度選別されているのでなかなか絞り切るのが難しく、以下の段階を経ていきました(それぞれプレイリストとして公開します)。

2019年ベストトラック候補(1st)

プレイリストに登録された2019年リリース曲(1500曲以上)から「今プレイリストを作ったら再び選択するか？」という観点で絞り込んだ883曲。前提としてカバー曲、リミックス曲は対象外としています。

2019年ベストトラック候補(2nd)

2019年ベスト候補(1st)から、詩、曲、アレンジ、声、演奏等の何かしらが強く心に響いたものを選んだ367曲。

2019年ベストトラック候補(3rd)

2019年ベスト候補(2nd)から「どうしても残しておきたいか？」と突き詰めて残った245曲。とは言うものの、2019年ベスト候補(2nd)に入っていた曲とどう違うのかと問われれば明確に答えるのが難しいくらいの差異しかありません。

2019年ベストトラック

2019年ベスト候補(3rd)の全曲をバブルソートで順位をつけようとしたが、優劣をつけ難いのと、ついついこの曲にうまく繋がるのはどの曲だろうと頭が働いてしまい順位をつけるのは断念。朝起きてから寝るまでの17時間聴き続けることができる長時間プレイリストとなってしまいました。ただ、最初の段階で80曲ずつくらいで3つにレベル分けしてたので、好きな曲はそれなりに早い曲順にいると思います(好きじゃない曲はないので、より好きという意)。

曲だけ聴くにはプレイリストを参照していただければよいのですが、テキストとして残しておきたいのと、Spotifyには抵抗があるという方のために、オフィシャルMVがあるものについてはそちらのリンクを付けて全曲列記しておきます(※アーティスト名表記はSpotifyに準拠します)。

あと、サブスクを利用することで変わった点がもう1つあって、それはアルバム単位で聴くことがほとんどなくなったということ。曲さえ良ければこれまで耳を傾けることがなかったアーティストでも聴くようになり、それはすごく良かったと思います。逆に好きなアーティストでもアルバムの中でinterludeとかあったりすると、それがよほど良曲でない限り「なんだかなー」という気持ちに。

とか言ってる中、OGRE YOU ASSHOLE「新しい人」、Maison book girl「海と宇宙の子供たち」の2枚だけは何度も聴きました。ベストアルバムはこの2枚です。

I still stand that activity here is currently low, at least at the moment I'm typing this, but last day I got a flash of inspiration and spent til 4 am drawing this. 😅

I have a lot of thoughts about how lonely must've A.B.A felt during her upbringing, before meeting Paracelsus, and how would would her creeping, conflicting feelings about herself and her loneliness develop, and just the horror of feeling no one is in the Frasco "prison" salve herself, really, the little times I headcanon she spent with the ghosts being almost like a taunt at how alone she objectively is.

This comic (?) study is very rambly on purpose, as I felt it befitted her the most and also more scribbly as it goes on cause I got tired lol but each pictures has image descriptions in case it's too confusing. I really hope you enjoy this take on her! :)

* BOØWY is a Japanese rock band formed in Takasaki, Gunma in 1981.

** What Ryutaro is holding in his arms, is a Daruma (達磨), which Pura has got from Takasaki club FLEEZ´s staff. It has been specially made for the band´s 20th anniversary.

Depending on the color, Daruma have different meanings. Black stands for prevention of bad luck. When you get a Daruma, the figure's eyes are both blank white. You then will select a goal or wish and paint in one of the figure's two eyes. Once the desired goal is achieved, the second eye is filled in.
