Mipha:

First impression: the first time I saw her was in the memory where Calamity Ganon rises up, so I was basically just "ooh, a Zora, she's pretty!"

Impression now: AKJEBFKSFNKJDSFNHLKHKJHDHF I LOVE HER SO MUCH I CANNOT EVER BE NORMAL ABOUT HER, BEST CHAMPION, LOML <333333333333333333333333333333333

Favorite moment: every time I get to fight as her in AOC :3 and also when I get to save her from Waterblight ;~; and when she and Sidon have that cute moment on Vah Ruta ;o; I honestly treasure any time she's onscreen, but those are my favorites

Idea for a story: UMMMM I HAVE A MILLION

Unpopular opinion: she is NOT boring and her character is NOT only about her love for Link and she is NOT written worse than the other champions, people just wanna be mean about her because of stupid ship nonsense/prioritizing male characters (especially the rude ones because they assume those characters are inherently deeper) and in fact I think she's the best written Champion, because she has a family and friends that remember her in BOTW and that you also see in AOC and she thinks about more than just Link, thank you very much. underrated as hell and it makes me so mad. >:E

Favorite relationship: oh, too many choices! I obviously love her and Link in a very shippy way, but I also love her relationships with her family, and the little friendship she strikes up with Daruk, and what little we see of her interacting with others in side missions (there's a cute one where Riju helps her in the Domain, for example), and non-canon obviously, but I love writing her interacting with anyone I can put in there. :3

Favorite headcanon: I have a million bajllion after all the time I've spent writing her and fleshing her out, too many to list here :3;;;

BOTW Impa:

First impression: mainly that she was an exposition lady? she was nice, but sadly didn't really do anything aside from that. :/

Impression now: HOWEVER. I absolutely ADORE her in AOC!!! They really gave her personality, and I love her interactions with Purah and Zelda and Terrako, she is so so so much fun!!! it was really sad going back to little old lady Impa in TotK. :/

Favorite moment: Any time she is encouraging Zelda is so sweet! ;~; and any time she and Terrako clash, it's so funny xD I also love that side mission where she has to clean up Purah's mess with some Guardians, and she's just "-_-" the entire time xD

Idea for a story: I want to write more of my version of her from my favorite fic of mine! and just more with her in general. Like I still have some unused zine pitches that would be fun...

Unpopular opinion: some people don't like her youthful version cause it's so different from past younger Impas, but I love her! I like OOT Impa too, don't get me wrong, but I found AOC Impa super fun.

Favorite relationship: Her and Zelda!

Favorite headcanon: I like to think her not being present in certain memories in BOTW was an oversight, NINTENDO >:/ because she specifically states that she was friends with them back then, and we see in AOC that she really was, so where was she??? hence why in my Mipha protagonist BOTW retelling I have her be present in some of the memories with the group because that's something else that needs fixing.

Her name is Katie and she is a necromancer in the Guard Dogs series by Freya Faust.

She's multiracial black, with longish black curly hair and brown eyes. Was a wrestling champ through school but at a nebulous mid-late 20s has gotten a softer body (and humps). She wears big fluffy light colored sweaters at work and graphic tees at home, and she loves dogs! Her mug is paw print, her desk calendar is dog themed, and she has four (extremely illegal) undead zombie dogs in her home named after star trek characters. She put them together out of roadkill, and she loves them very much.

And she is going to be the first mage in history to crack the problem of true human resurrection. (Or more likely, get busted for necromancy and disappeared by the magic cops)

You weren't kidding about there being absolutely no art of her. Oh well no one to tell me I got her wrong

Re: the art trademark thing. I can't? Explain it? But your style has this... crayon-like quality about it?? It's very soft and smudgy and pigmented looking somehow. It's very warm and gentle, and the texture of it is a big part of that.

Uuuhhhhh I guess their voice?? I'm pretty akward when I first meet people and I don't really look directly at them, I mostly listen to their voice, their mannerisms when speaking and stuff.

When I was younger I was all about happy endings, if stories didn't have happy endings then what was the point??? I suppose that changed when I grew up, I still like happy endings tho, but I'd say scary movie (love scary movies).

Uhm, I think it would be that I have a good ear for languages and music?? When I was still learning english my teacher would say that I have a very good ear and could catch and understand very quickly what was being said, and my piano teacher once told me that, again, I have a good ear because I could listen to a song and quickly figure out the melody and the pacing, the tempo, to play it myself, so I guess??? that would be it???

4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?

it honestly doesn't tend to take much, I block with impunity if someone's being annoying/a jerk/both. this has happened with multiple z*link trolls, sigh. (and some of the irritating Mipha fans too, because not all of them appreciate her like I do. there are definitely some weird misogynist ones out there, and you should absolutely picture me yelling "YOU'RE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ME!" at them like Mr. Incredible.)

9. worst part of canon

Mipha being dead in the main timeline. TotK's entire fucking plot. Mipha not getting to fight in the cutscenes in AOC. just. everything to do with the Gerudo and Nintendo's racist handling of them. Valkyrie Profile 2's entire fucking plot. Star Ocean 3's entire fucking plot. WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL OF THAT??? whatever is going on with Chrono Cross' plot. shows getting prematurely cancelled.

I don't hate her, and I see potential in both her flaws and good points that canon didn't deliver on, but sorry fans, she is not the deepest most nuanced best written female character ever and being meh on her doesn't mean I hate female characters with personality. she's not even the best female character in the series, and the writing I've seen for ladies in other franchises blows her away. please play some games with better writing and get some higher standards. this is addressed not to people who merely like her, ftr, but the people who look at the crumbs Nintendo has given us and treat it like the feast of all feasts, top tier video game character development.)

These Macs sound sick to us and that's what they sound like. Statt abzuebben wurde der Regen immer aufdringlicher. Fin’s Blick wanderte zu der gläsernen Kuppel, die vermutlich ohne Magie schon vor vielen Stürmen kaputt gegangen worden wäre. Doch für ihn war es leicht einen Schutz- und Verstärkungszauber auf das Glas zu legen, sodass es vermutlich selbst einem Tornado standhalten würde. Der junge Hexer kannte sich mit Magie aus. Er war mit ihr aufgewachsen und von klein auf brachte man sie ihm bei wie das Buchstabieren oder Schreiben. Tatsächlich war er noch vor seinem ersten gesprochenen Wort in der Lage gewesen Magie zu wirken. Damals war diese jedoch noch rein, unverfälscht, auch wenn man oft irrtümlicherweise davon ausging, dass die Dunkelhexen mit einer schwarzen Seele geboren wurden. Natürlich lag es ihnen nach so vielen Generationen der Dunkelheit in den Genen, im Blut, aber es war die Erziehung und die Bindung zu Pan, dem Gehörnten Gott, der die Seele einer jeder Hexer oder eines jeden Hexers verdarb und verdunkelte. Auch andere Hexen beteten Pan an, allerdings nur in einem gewissen Maß. Pan war der Todesgott unter den unzähligen Göttern, die es in seinem Glauben gab und doch stand er auch als Hüter der verstorbenen Seelen. Er war also nicht gänzlich boshaft, dennoch war er in der Dunkelheit erschaffen worden. Manchmal zweifelte Finnian diese Tatsache an. Niemand wurde in der Dunkelheit geboren, schon gar nicht ein Gott. Es wurde als Verrat und Ketzerei gewertet, wenn man die Legenden und Sagen als falsch abtat oder gar hinterfragte. Dabei stand die Magie dafür, dass man hinterfragen sollte, um zu lernen und sich weiterzubilden. Wie in jeder Religion, wie in jedem Kult gab es auch in seinem widersprüchliche Sachen, die keinen Sinn zu ergeben schienen. Fin war schon immer jemand gewesen, der hinterfragte und auf eigene Faust nachforschte und sich Wissen aneignete. Auch wenn er den Göttern Freya und Pan seine Magie und seine Gaben zu verdanken hatte, schloss er es nicht aus auch zu anderen Göttern zu beten. Dabei legte er sich nicht auf eine Mythologie oder eine Religion fest, auch wenn er sich trotz allem als Wicca fühlte.

Fin hatte gelernt solche Dinge für sich zu behalten, bis er jemandem vertraute. Allerdings war Vertrauen auch eine Sache, mit der er nicht leichtfertig umging. Fin vertraute im gewissen Maß seinen Zirkelmitgliedern, seinen Hohepriestern. Abgesehen davon schenkte er niemandem sein Vertrauen. Bisher war es noch nie so weit gekommen, als dass er darüber nachgedacht hatte. Wenn man sein ganzes Leben lang von Dunkelheit und den Toten umgeben war, lernte man irgendwann sich diesen anzuvertrauen, denn Tote konnten nicht sprechen. Jedenfalls konnten sie nicht über das sprechen, was ihnen eine Hexe oder ein Hexer anvertraute, wenn sie von eben solchen beschworen wurden. Im Moment der Beschwörung wurden sie an die magieausführende Person mit einem Schweige- und Treuezauber gebunden, sodass es ihnen nicht möglich war etwas weiterzutragen, was geflüstert wurde. Sich tagtäglich mit Toten zu umgeben hatte auch zur Folge, dass die Lebenden schnell in Vergessenheit gerieten und man so in eine Art Einsamkeit fiel, die vermutlich nur ein weiterer Totenbeschwörer oder Nekromant nachvollziehen konnte. Auf ihre Worte hin hob er schwach die Mundwinkel. Er konnte charmant sein und nutzte diesen Charme gewiss auch an, um Kunden dazu zu bringen Geld in seinem Laden auszugeben. „Komisch. Eigentlich bin ich mir sicher, dass ich dich noch nie in Rosemarkie gesehen habe, Jovana“ erwiderte er, ehe er auch einen Schluck des Tees nahm, der so heiß war, dass es ihm fast die Zunge verbrannte. „Aber manchmal führt das Schicksal zwei Menschen zusammen, wenn es so sein soll“ grübelte er laut nach, auch wenn er die Worte nur halbherzig ernst meinte. Das Schicksal war eine verworrene Sache, über die er oft und gerne nachdachte. Doch ob es nun wahrhaftig das Schicksal war, welches sie in seinen Laden gebracht hatte, wagte er fast zu bezweifeln. Auch wenn ihn die Bilder, die er bei ihrer Berührung gesehen hatte, nicht losließen. Vermutlich würde er noch bis spät in die Nacht hinein darüber nachdenken, was es damit auf sich hatte.

„Du kannst nicht zufällig Bilder in Köpfe anderer fließen lassen, oder?“ neugierig sah er sie durch die grünen Augen an. Oft hörte er, dass seine Augen an einen dichten Wald erinnerten. An Bäume, die an der Spitze von der Sonne geküsst wurden. War es wirklich sie gewesen, die ihm die Bilder gezeigt hatte? Aber das ergab keinen Sinn. Wieso sollte sie so etwas tun, wenn sie sich doch kaum kannten? Außerdem war ihm aufgefallen, dass auch sie etwas bleich geworden war, als sich ihre Hände berührt hatten. Vielleicht hatte auch sie diese Bilder gesehen und die Magie spielte ihnen beiden einfach nur einen grausamen Streich. Finnian konnte sich keinen Reim daraus machen, doch es verleitete ihn dazu nachdenklich auf seiner Unterlippe herumzukauen – eine dumme Angewohnheit, die er sich schon in seinen Kindheitstagen angeeignet hatte. Sein Blick wanderte wie von selbst wieder zu Jovana, die nur zwei Schritte von ihm entfernt stand und ebenfalls an ihrem Tee nippte. Der junge Hexer bemerkte, wie die wohlduftenden Kräuter allmählich zu wirken begannen und er sich deutlich entspannte. Es war, als würde eine Last von seinen Schultern abfallen, die sich seit ihrem Eintreten in seinen Laden aufgebaut hatte. Finnian hegte keine Vorurteile gegenüber den Lichthexen, allerdings wusste er, dass auch diese listig sein konnten. Und er wusste auch, wie die meisten Lichthexen über Seinesgleichen dachte und er konnte es ihnen nicht verübeln. Er war kein Unschuldslamm – er war verdammt weit entfernt davon und wenn er sie so anblickte war er sich sicher, dass sie das wusste.
