Objectively the game of all time to me is Xenoblade Chronicles (the first one and only the first one)

Favorite: Well Xenoblade… but Final Fantasy is obviously up there almost neck and neck, DAI and ME2, Elden Ring, BOTW, Pokemon, and my guilty pleasures Halo and Gears of War. Sorry I am not good at picking singular definitive favs. 😅

Person who wants to get into gaming is always based on like starting interests. When my cousin wanted to get into it I recommended some puzzle games because they like organizing and Portal was a big hit. Farming sims have been a huge hit they are Stardew now lol. But less experience someone has in games the more I lean on genre interests. And asking like what kind of things they enjoy seeing in media or enjoy doing in terms of board/tabletop games etc.

Its not always like an easy if you like this you will like xyz but giving options across game types and genres is always good and trying to breakdown the learning curve for them helps. A lot of fresh into it gamers will need time to adjust to the hand etc coordination, even long term gamers (lol what a way to phrase that) need a grace period between genres like its hard to jump from first person pov (shooter or rpg) and swing into third person action and vice versa etc. Someone who mainly plays VNs would need some to adjust to an actively moving genre.

All that to say my frequent recs are games like BOTW (or simpler like BOTW is rough for first timers) open world exploration gives newbies a chance to like adjust to what gaming is. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are my usual for fantasy/scifi fans who like story. FFXV is a great intro into FF that isn’t the beloved MMO. I’m not great at general recs but specific taste based recommendations? I got you.

Did you know you can use the FP2 modit to play the utopia builder mode with all communities. Or all factions. Or only one community. So far in my testing, having more groups makes the city more stable because they balance each other out, funnily enough

reading s*mething quite peculiar (i’m on ch9) and im just like. i cannot with stories that have to be morally correct. like life is not a twitter thread and there are a lot of things that are “problematic” but the truth is most people brush things aside due to personal insecurity or something whatever yk what i mean. maybe rowan’s just like that so i’m gonna keep reading. like hopefully the author purposely characterized her as a irl twitter activist whos an artsy english major. 

like i’m not upset abt her being upset about her being mad at jack it’s just dumb the way the author goes abt it. very self righteous.
