who? @froyofthe-ironwood where? A small islet near Aurelia Isle when? After the ship went kaboom

After dragging herself and the blonde woman out of the water and into the small islet, Araceli throws herself to the ground with a grunt. She lays there for a moment, not caring about the sand sticking to her wet clothes. She lays there for a long moment, taking a jagged breath after the other, but she doesn’t allow herself to rest. That last half an hour had not been divine provenance, something had pushed them towards the islet. Someone, even, and she needed to figure out if they were alive, and whether they were an enemy or not. Grunting again, she stood up and waved for the blonde to stay as she began traveling the edge of the beach, eyes scanning the horizon until she saw a form collapsed in the sand a few hundred meters away. Her slow walk turned into a jog, which turned into an outright run when she was close enough to vaguely recognize the person lying in the ground. 

She had met him at the ship, right? He had been another one of the captured. 

“Hey! Are you alright?” She calls out, falling to her knees next to him, hands hovering over his form as she wondered what to do.

Freydis felt she could have lectured Froy on the fact that when she had first met Eivor he had tested her to see if she was as hateful and vitriolic toward those non-human as the rest of the Iskarans were known to be in the initial flight from Iskaldrik. But she wouldn’t. She didn’t wish for Froy to know the length of time she’d had some sort of connection or association with the dragon, not that she was privy to that any sooner than the rest of them were. “I understand your perspective and I’m not naive to what the Vanguard represents and preaches,” she stated carefully. “But are we not both jarls? But we can sit at a table peacefully rather than ripping each other’s throats out for my association with the fey and your being a druid. Is it so impossible to lend the same credit to them? By title alone we ought to be killing each other, ourselves. But we don’t believe everything our titles would suggest.” 

“If either of them wished to cleave you or harm you, they would have done so, make no mistake about that,” Freydis said. This much she believed. 

She felt as if the air came back into the room when Froy backed down slightly from his stance. This was difficult–she understood where he was coming from. There were no other acolytes of the One God she felt she could tolerate to be in a room with aside from Nikandros and Eivor–and even Nikandros made her feel nervous. But she was glad to hear he understood her perspective as well. Where Froy became silent and backed off the rest of his sentence, Freydis cut in with a sudden, loud laugh. “If he makes this something to regret he would be lucky if you found him first and not me. I suspect that might be the one and only mercy he could hope to be afforded in such circumstances.”

Froy exhaled sharply, his lips pressing into a firm line as he leaned back in his chair. “I will if that common enemy also stands against druids and magic folk,” he said quietly, his voice measured but tinged with an edge of steel. “To be a druid isn’t just about impartiality, Freydis. It’s about balance. Peaceful balance. As well as protecting the ones who can’t protect themselves.”

“Their doctrine may not say so outright, but I've met those who crossed paths with the Vanguard when I was traveling through Taravell, I listened to their stories. Stories about druids vanishing all because they refused to kneel to the Vanguard’s god. And I make no excuses for the rulers of Iskaldrik and their witchers. When the Aetherons are defeated and our people can go home, Skohfjell will have nothing to do with.”

His fingers drummed idly against the table, betraying the tension he otherwise kept in check. “But I can admit when my judgment is clouded,” he added, his tone softer now, though the weight of his words lingered. “Maybe you’re right to argue for discretion. I’ve been too quick to judge them—especially Eivor. I’ll keep what we know to ourselves for now. But if it comes back to bite us—” He stopped short, biting back the rest of the sentence and shaking his head. “I just hope I don’t come to regret this.”

A momentary apologetic look flashed through her otherwise unusually stony features. She hadn’t meant to startle or frighten him, especially when there was so much to fear in the situation they found themselves in alone. But she was relieved he abandoned the stone, at least for the time being. Froy might not have been looking at her, but her gaze was affixed on the druid as he spoke. She wondered quietly if what he felt in this moment might be similar to the grief and empty space she experienced with her new understanding of what it meant for her to be a dúnedain–to know there had been a circle she might have belonged to, but that it was dormant or dead. There was a closeness, a memory or living example of what might be, but always out of reach. 

“Oh, well, why shouldn’t I be?” she sighed, sitting back against the wall behind them once she felt more assured Froy would not bring harm to himself. “It seems I have a real talent for falling into situations like this,” she responded, a thin smile that held a sliver of humor offered to Froy. If she let the turn of events make her cry rather than laugh, she was not sure she’d ever stop. But even the little mirth that had been in her expression fell away quickly. “Froy?” she prompted quietly, as gently as she could. “What did you see then?”

Froy flinched at her touch. He didn’t look at her right away. His eyes lingered on the rough edges of the rock. On the shimmer of the a’dam around his neck.

“I felt it when they put it on,” he continued, gaze distant as he finally let the stone fall beside his feet. “Like something just… stopped. Like they buried a part of me I didn’t know I needed to breathe.” He placed a hand gently over his chest, as if expecting to feel something there—his power, the soft thrum of nature’s call, but there was nothing.

“I’m sorry you’re in this too,” he murmured. He breathed deep through his nose, trying to push the heaviness in his chest back down. “I saw them once before. The Kossith. During the first attack on Hestia’s Cove. I was barely conscious but even then I didn't think they…”

He shook his head, unable to finish the thought. The collar weighed heavier than it looked.

My Christmas gift for my mother. She loves this movie, and I have good memories of watching it with her and my grandfather. He gave me his Peter S. Beagle collection when he could no longer see to read it, and I have read the book a few times now.

01. Why have you chosen Mystic Haven to pursue a career with?

Uh, I didn’t? It’s more accurate to say it chose me. I just kind of landed here when I was a kid; easy mark for a good meal and a dry bed, even if that bed was made of hay bales or potato sacks. I forget sometimes that I actually get paid to be here! Life hasn’t changed much for me since I signed up for the “real” job, but it has gotten a lot warmer, yanno? That shed I crashed in at the beginning didn’t even have real windows!

02. What do you think you can bring to the team, in terms of skills or attitude?

I bring the FUN! Everyone around here is so freakin’ serious! “This is a business Peter, put on some shoes.” or “No, Peter you CAN’T have oreos for breakfast! Putting them in milk doesn’t make it cereal!” This place is supposed to be a vacation for people, right? So why are there so many rules? I think things would run a lot smoother around here if some people chilled out a WHOLE lot more.

03. Finally, here at Mystic Haven Resort, we believe change is inevitable and something to embrace. Do you believe you can roll with the changes in your life, or are you stuck in your ways?

Hell yea, I can! I mean, as long as I can keep living the Pan-life, right? All it takes to keep me happy is good food, good music, hot girl summers and happy kids! Pretty sure we’re always going to have those things, or else we’d close down, right? Living life on vacation is the best way to stay happy, I can’t imagine living anywhere else!

HEADCANONS

1. Peter ran away from home at a young age (living at the resort in secret until Big Mama discovered him and offered him some work and proper living quarters), and operates very independently. He is not the type to seek permission, approval, or acceptance. He will often act or speak impulsively before properly considering the consequences. He is very go-with-the-flow, and is not easily offended (as long as he can live his life the way he wants, of course). The only way to really get on his bad side is to try and control him or pin him down with rules. 2. Self-taught in parkour. Growing up in secret on resort grounds, he found the most efficient way to get around without getting caught was scaling the buildings and sneaking through trees. Once he learned it was actually considered a thing, Peter started experimenting with the flair and style of actual parkour, rather than just trying to stay out of sight. 3. Peter loves to act like he needs nothing and no one to be happy, by putting up a wall of carefree childlike gleeful behavior, but he craves the love and attention he never received as a child. He will constantly surround himself with people, noise and activity at any cost to avoid spending time alone. He thrives in a social environment and wilts in solitude. He will find absolutely any excuse to fill his time with good company, no matter the cost. 4. Peter is almost never wearing shoes, and he most certainly doesn’t own socks. He has permanently dirty feet and is very happy about it, thank you very much.

vendo minha alma por esses plots:

(01). summer love plot. AQUI tem um bunnie sobre isso mas podemos só se inspirar no conceito e criar algo mais nosso encima. adoraria se os dois personagens fossem novinhos, tipo, com seus 17 anos e fosse a primeira experiencia romântica deles ou só de algum deles!! pode rolar tanto lá nos EUA (califórnia) ou podemos fazer alguma coisa aqui no brasil mesmo em alguma cidade praiana linda do nosso pais.

(02). ok não querendo ser a louca dos plots problemáticos mas tipo, alguém me da algo bem toxico aonde um deles é um bandido (traficante? assaltante? tanto faz, envolvido com alguma gangue e tals. vibe do rio de good girls) e tem essa menina que ele vê e ela é toda timida e fofa e ele começa a proteger ela e só é lindo. tem esse bunnie AQUI & esse AQUI mas eu também tive uma ideia que adoraria conversar sobre se você se interessa no conceito. 

(03). romeu e julieta moderno. POR FAVOR !!!! alguém pelo amado deus me da um plotizinho assim. ia amar se fosse m/m também, mas se for f/m eu preferia muito ficar com a menina nesse caso. (inspo bunnie)

(04). eu tô super no mood pra um plot sobrenatural. eu tenho inclusive duas personagens (ambas f) que tô louca pra jogar com. pode ser plot de humano x vampiro, bruxo x bruxo, lobisomen x caçador, humano x fantasma, fada x humano. qualquer um dessas piras eu dou meu coração pra quem me der. as duas personagens que já tenho são ambas bruxas. uma séria apenas pra jogar em um universo sobrenatural e outra pode ser como se coisas assim existissem no nosso mundo de hoje sme a gente ver. (inspo bunnie)

(05). eu amaria uma historia exatamente como a de 10 things I hate about you mas com personagens ic. grande preferencia por interpretar a menina nesse também. 

(06). outro filme que adoraria fazer um ship inspirado e em all the boys I’ve loved before. eu nunca li os livros então teria que ser algo focado na historia do primeiro filme mesmo.

(07). esse plot, pelo amor de deus. esse plot.

(08).  secretly dating/fucking plots!!! essa listinha AQUI de inspo mas dando destaque pras ideias de namorado do irmão/irmã ou tipo, melhor amigo do irmão. bem clichezão mesmo porque eu sou uma merda por esse tipo de coisa.

(09). uh, só, ESSA listinha aqui. sério, eu sei que o contexto é bem simples mas da pra tirar várias coisas com isso.

(10). PLOTS COM BEBÊS. tem varias ideias tipo dois pais se conhecendo quando levam os filhos pra escola de manhã ou ESSE plot aqui de um pai/mãe solteiro ou ESSE aqui sobre ela não tendo contado pra ele da bebê. gênero real é algo que não é importante pra mim em 99% dos caso.

(11). ok mas tipo, famoso x pessoa normal?? ou famoso x famoso?? eu amo jogar com personagens famosos então pelo amor de deus me dêem uns assim aaaa!! tem ESSE aqui mas tipo qualquer coisa nesse contexto eu tenho mais ideias também sdçklns.
