Jaeha - life like 20 EP review

NOTE: This review was done in real-time while listening to the EP

cali 2 paris - I like the instrumental here. Upbeat and fun but still has a more laid back feel to it. Nice little California vibe. I really liked his singing too. I don't know much about Jaeha. I know he's a rapper. I was expecting something more hip-hop but this is really nice. I really liked the lyric "I don't wanna live but I don't wanna die". I like his delivery of it as well. Overall, this is a great song and a great way to start an EP.

devil girl ft Don Malik - This is an R&B-ish type song. Jaeha's a really good singer.Don Malike was a great choice for a featuring. When listening to the beginning of the song I was like "Hmm, not sure how Don Malik is gonna fit on a song like this". I'm not super well versed on Don Malik but from what I've heard of him it's usually not this style. However, he fit really well. I feel like his verse gave the song a little extra "texture" for lack of a better term. Overall, I like this song but not as much as "cali 2 paris".

I don't care - Another great instrumental. His flow on this one is on point. Not much else I have to say. At some points he was kinda reminding me of Dean on "Know Me" which in my view is PEAK Dean. So this is meant to be a HUGE compliment not a bad thing. Overall, I really like this song!

where u goin - Don't like this instrumental as much as the others but it's still nice.This is the most hip-hop song on the album. Overall, it's a solid song.

This was my first time listening to the EP but it was also my first introduction to Jaeha. Up until now, I've only heard one song with Jaeha and he was a featuring artist. I'm really impressed with this EP. It's SO hard for me to like a whole ep/album at all but ESPECIALLY on the first play through. This is solid to me. NO Skips at all which is REALLY uncommon. I was expecting a more hip-hop sounding EP because I know Jaeha as a rapper. I don't know much about him so I didn't know what to expect so I just assumed it'd be more hip-hop. This definitely skews more R&B but to me that's fine. I'm definitely looking forward to his future releases because he showed that he is really talented with this EP!
